I was stranded and in dire need with a broken shifter spline, and a long way home from Dallas on a Sunday. Guess who is closed? Everyone!So I stay at a hotel and figure I can fix it in the morning. Well, Monday morning and I look to find that the name brand dealerships are closed in Austin on Monday too. So again, Im stuck with options of using a vice grip and suicide shifting. Nope.I call Southern Metal Choppers and get a friendly reception on the other end. Although his shop is busy, he worked into his schedule, a bit of time to see that I can continue on my way home by providing me with a part that was a 95% show stopper.This great custom bike shop took their time to get me back on the road and inspected to boot. Meanwhile, I had a moment to examine their amazingly brilliant bikes which are award winning quality. Give Bronson and this shop your attention if you respect courtious attention to detail.

Harley Davison Deluxe owner. I ride primarily for commuting. They were recommended by a friend who rides a lot. This is the only place I take my bike and its the only place I recommend in Austin. Annual checks, saddle bags, led lighting- all done here. The entire staff is amazing!

I went in to get my rear tire changed and a dent in my tank repaired for my Ducati.It took a little longer than I had hoped because of some complications, it happens, but Bronson made sure the job was perfect before returning my bike. I appreciate their honesty and commitment to quality, despite the setbacks.I would definitely recommend their shop if you need paint or bodywork. My tank looks better than when it was on the showroom floor.

These guys are more than just business you will end up being a friend. I have four bikes currently they have worked on all four and helped me more than they took money out of my wallet. Came in and met with Bronson at southern metal choppers for an oil change and immediately knew that this is the place to take your motorcycle for ANY and EVERYTHING. Fast service, fair pricing and knowledgeable employees answered all my questions and took care of me in about 45 minutes. No need to look any further for anything motorcycle related. Customer for life.

Ive had a number of bikes with Bronson over the last several years and cant say enough good about him and his business. Bronson is a rare business owner because he truly does care about what he does. He takes pride in delivering a quality work product no matter if its a build, an upgrade, or a repair. He also stands by his work. I had some paint work done there and had a question about it, he made it right quickly. On top of everything else, hes an incredible builder. My bike is in there now and all my bikes will continue to go back to Bronson whenever I need something done.

I recently went in for a rear tire change on my bike. The price was better then anyone around The tech also pointed out some minor things that were of concern, that I hadnt noticed. I told him to go ahead and take care of those things, as I was getting ready for a long trip soon. I felt I was well taken care of, and not taken advantage of, as is the case in many places. Very professional and likable staff. I will definitely be returning with my other bikes in the near future!Thanks Bronson, Will and crew, Great Job!

Best all around motorcycle shop in town....SMC is the only shop I let service my 03 Harley. Theyre the best in my book, not to say other shops arent good. But through the years Bronson has been straight up honest with me about what modifications will or wont work well, regardless how aesthetically pleasing. Ive come to rely on his recommendations. Its also good to know when I leave my bike at the shop itll be Bronson or his protege Josh who do the work, not some transient, short-term mechanic. They back up their work with action, not bullshitt. Whether youre long-time rider or newbie to the sport these guys wont steer you down a dead end street. Very knowledgeable and I highly recommend them!

I love this place. Everytime i have had to take my bike to them they do great work!

My bike was there for a couple months, but still ran bad after a large bill. I then took it to a different shop to fix it, where it took about 2 days to fix the issue. Very expensive lesson learned.

Took my buell there for its 10k and some custom exhaust work.Friendly staff, great hours, fair price. Couldnt ask for anything more.

Great guys, awesome bikes. Had to get a battery and it works better than any other battery ive gotten for my Harley.

Since Yamin closed their doors I have taken my chopper to SMC for service. I fully recommend them. They have installed clutch cable new tires and inspected my chopper for years.

I left my motorcycle there for more than one month, they never fixed anything . I had to take my bike elsewhere . Owner of the shop and employees where very unprofessional and vulgar when i talked to them over the phone .
