All I can say is WOW!!! I have never been treated so well at a service department. To me that is the true test of a dealership. Sales people can be very nice but have an awful service department. I can’t comment on the sales but the service department was amazing. I was treated fairly and like a human not belittled or anything (as is common elsewhere for mechanics to treat me that way as a woman). I really wished I lived closer (or even in your state) as I would come there all the time. Thank you for helping me and seeing me promptly when my AC stopped on my drive home. Brandon you rock!!!

Service dept is horrible. They tell you online when you make a service appointment that a rental vehicle will be waiting. When you get there they tell you NO courtesy loaner vehicles are available, they didnt even have the decency to call and let me know before I drove 70miles to this dealership. Service manager didnt even seen to care, blamed it on Acura corporation. Very poor customer service.

The sales crew were all so helpful and very knowledgeable of the car I purchased. Personally, I do not like the process of buying a car, but Bakersfield Acura had me in and out of there in record time. They were honest when discussing numbers, and overall made me feel very comfortable with the purchase of my new car!Update: literally, the week I bought my MDX I began having issues with the infotainment system. I called the salesperson and left multiple messages with no answer. I called the general manager and still no answer. I then called the service department with no answer. So I put my complaint In Writing to the dealership - still no response. Fortunately, the issue resolved for the most part. I still have issues periodically where the screen remains black but by shutting off the car and turning it on it usually comes back on. Sometimes but rarely it takes several hours of the car being off for it to resume to normal. I have had nothing but problems with this dealership. Getting service done is a headache!!! I purchased a small part for my rear window wiper which I was told would arrive in a few days and they would call. No one called. A month later I started calling. It took 3 months for me to finally speak to a person and get the part I paid for. The last service I took my car in for the girl told me they overbooked and my oil change would take an hour and a half. So far that’s the best service experience I’ve had with family motors. The time before that they told me to be there at 7:00 when they opened and they would take care of me. I was ready to drive off when the doors finally opened at 7:12. Needless to say, if you have to buy an Acura, which I would recommend not to as they are terribly overpriced Honda’s with poor steering response, DO NOT buy it from Family Motors. It would be worth your time to travel out of town to Valencia or anywhere besides Bakersfield!

Ive been a customer of Acura for over 6 years now. I have never been as pleased with their service as I have been these last several months with the new management. The staff is all very attentive and caring and the quality of their work is also great. Danny and David are typically the people who I deal with the most and theyre both professional and diligent in their jobs. The last message he sent was “No one is going to give you 19 for your trade good luck” which i found to be blatantly rude. On the way from LA to SF for the Fourth of July, the AC in our CRV stopped working. It was 100°+ and we had hours to go with a dog in the car with us. Omar and his team made time for us and made sure we were comfortable. I came into this place expecting the same thing from every dealership. I was expecting to have like now chance at getting a vehicle due to my low credit and first time buyers with such a little down payment. I had two great workers help me out so much and pull so much strings to get me what I wanted. I was going in to see one car that I didnt want, because the car i did want was too expensive. They pulled enough string from me to get the car of my dreams! They were able to make the payments cheap as well! I appreciate their great service, of all the dealers I went to. Very sad with their poor customer service. The service dept Rep Cory was unprofessional and wouldnt accommodate my disabled needs. He sent my husband in for a rental since our car had to stay due to a manufacturing defect. My husband explained how its painful for me to get in or out of a small sedan and to please get us an SUV. Cory told him it would be an extra charge. My husband said this is not something we should get charged for but realized Cory wouldnt do anything beyond his capabilities to help us out so he said ok thanks. Got to the rental place and they asked for paperwork which he was not given. Calls to speak to Manager David to tell him about Cory, but finds out he needs to pay a 50 deposit, so David starts questioning my husband and says its only 50. Because apparently 50 is not a lot of money. (Id like to see him give me 50 dollars just because). Regardless, theres was no need for questioning and treating a loyal customer that way. I Remembered a kind helpful person named Tina works as a customer service manager and I explained what happened she was kind but couldnt do much for me since I cant drive the car. Now sadly I have a sedan sitting in my garage I cant use. Very disappointed!!

We broke down on I-5 and had to have our car towed on a Sunday to the Bakersfield Acura. The Service Dept was not opened, but we were at least able to drop off the car at the overnight drop off. The Sales Manager was very helpful in obtaining a rental car for us to continue with our trip. He did the best he could under the circumstances. The car was repaired there and so far is running great. Thank you Bakersfield Acura!

I ordered new all season mats from this company online. I called and advised the online sales manager that the mats did not fit. He advised me that I probably put them in incorrectly. I sent him pictures to his phone to show that that was not the case at all. He thought it was weird and notified me that I was correct. He said he was waiting for another order of them to come in and that he would get back to me on the size. Not only did I never hear from him but I paid for a product that doesnt even fit. Please go some where else for you online product purchase you will be much happier.

Took my TL in for an oil change and tire rotation. The receipt says they topped off the fluid levels, but the Power Steering and coolant reservoirs are at minimum or below. Im guessing all the fluids aside from the engine oil never got topped up as they claimed. Not impressed with the new owners service department at all. Seems like theyre cutting corners whenever they think they can get away with it (and quoting exorbitant prices for repairs). The people were friendly enough, but the actual service has sadly deteriorated.

I Recently purchased a Certified Pre-Owed Acura RDX 2015 with 46k mi miles about two months ago. Great condition and Price. Great salesperson and all.Now at 49k mi. I’m experiencing some undercarriage clanking, thumping and snapping over some uneven surface and when just parking. Thinking that I wouldn’t have to worry about the problems because I purchased the extended warranties offered for $5k and that Acura would take my vehicle in with no questions to inspect the explained issues. Yeah they are willing to do so for a Fee of $145 to “Run a diagnostics on the car “ I took my key fob and Left. What a bunch of bologna. I will never pay for another Acura warranty if that’s what the end result is.

Really shady. Required a $250 safety inspection to complete a lease buyout saying its required by Acura and that every dealer does it. Obviously a lie and confirmed when calling other dealers and Acura corporate and completed the buyout in Valencia.Every experience Ive had with this dealer has been poor from sales to service. Previous Acura dealers were considerably better.Annoying that I have to go to Valencia Acura for everything now but I dont trust this place with my car or anything else.

Just bought a 2019 Acura TLX Aspec AWD 2 weeks ago. Got a call from the svc mngr saying I need an update. I explained to him I wouldnt get off of work in time to make it before they closed. The svc mngr said not to worry about it and had someone wait there just for me. After showing up (after hrs mind you), the svc tec pulled me right in and started the update on the recall of my car. I was inside the waiting area, and the svc mngr himself was still there and came up to me and said he was glad I made it and right away offered me a carwash to make my time worth wild. David is the Man! And he WILL take care of you. He was there throughout my entire visit to make sure my visit and the needs of my car were met and taken care of promptly, efficiently and to great standards.

Ned and Daniel both helped us out. We came to Acura to just take a quick glance at the new 2018 TLX Aspec vehicles. Ned greeted us with a very positive attitude and was very very friendly. He had a lot of knowledge on the vehicles and didn’t hesitate to answer any crazy odd questions we had. This place isn’t your typical dealership, very relaxed and there wasn’t a time or moment of our experience where we felt “pressured” or “pushed” to try to make the purchase. As we were coming up with a deal Daniel stepped in and got us the lowest possible price. Bottom line, the people here are going to make you feel very very welcomed and there not going to try and make you make a quick decision, or make you feel pressured. I bought an Acura RDX new in 2017 from family motors Acura with an extended warranty, currently the car has lass than 20k miles on it. About 2 months ago we started having problems with the transmission inconsistently having a delay in the shifting from second to third gears then it would slam into third gear. We took the vehicle into family motors where they changed the transmission fluid and did a software update. Less than a week later we were back at the dealership and they turned us away after a short test drive stating that they could not recreate the reported problems and told us to return if the problem continued. Since then we have be back to the dealership with the same problem that was not solved and the same answer from the dealership. I decided to take the next step and call corporate Acura. After getting the run around for over 2 weeks and we are still driving a broken vehicle and Acura refuses to fix the on-going transmission problem. What happened to car manufacturers standing behind their products?

My wife and I went car shopping on a Sunday, August 27, 2017. Our first stop was at Bakersfield Acura on Wible Road, to test drive a certified pre-owned Acura RDX. The vehicle met and exceeded our expectations. However, we needed to compare it to other vehicles we had in mind since they would not budge on the internet sales price. Our salesman Glen and his manager Daniel were nice and provided us with finance options. When we informed them that we had other vehicles to go look at for comparison, they didn’t pressure us with awkward sales tactics. While we were test driving another vehicle at the Chevrolet Dealership next door, Glen sent us a thank you text with a picture of the car. At the end of the day we went back to Bakersfield Acura and purchased the car of our dreams. This is the nicest quality vehicle and fits the budget we had set for ourselves. We took delivery of the vehicle a couple hours later. Glen helped us set up some of the features on the vehicle, including the free 3 month subscription of XM radio and synced our cell phones with the vehicles Hands Free Link. When we got home we noticed that there were a few discrepancies from the “182 point certified pre-owned inspection checklist.” We returned to Bakersfield Acura on Thursday, August 31st where the friendly service manager David and his staff, along with Glen, all met us at the door. They immediately addressed all of our concerns and answered all of our questions. We were treated with respect and courtesy. They made us feel like the most important people there. They corrected all of the issues faster than we have ever seen any service center, including detailing the vehicle. While we waited, another staff member brought us bottled water and stopped to talk to us like we were family. Overall, our experience at Bakersfield Acura was excellent. We are extremely happy and satisfied with our purchase! The service we received at Bakersfield Acura was top notch! Good job guys! We highly recommend Bakersfield Acura to anyone looking for either a new or used vehicle, you will be treated with respect and you will receive absolutely the best A+ service possible! Thank you!

Purchased 2013 Acura TL and the battery died 3 years into owning the car. They replaced the battery and 2 years after that replacement the “new” battery is now dead. They said that they don’t cover the replacement battery nor do they give any pro rating towards a new one... frustrated at having to replace a battery that is 2 years old and has a 100 month warranty but they don’t want to honor it. Way to lose a customer!
