When I got in my 2020 Atlas the airbag error light came on so I made a service appointment. My husband drove half an hour to the dealership to be told we have to reschedule for next week because they don’t have enough time to do the appointment. Now I have to wait 6 days to have it even looked at due to the service departments scheduling error. I can’t drive my car safely knowing that the airbags may not work. I am beyond upset. This is extremely irresponsible of the department to not honor the appointment 1.5 hours before they close. Also, if they knew they couldn’t keep the appointment they should have called so we didn’t waste over an hour making the drive there and back.
This place is awesome!! Of course car dealership want to sell you a car when you walk in, but Sasha ensured we got the right vechile for us!! They treated us so awesome and got us Starbucks as a treat to celebrate along with some yummy pizza!! One of the managers, Mike is so awesome as well!! Even after we left the lot he found a special we didnt get at first which ended up dropping my payment by 20 bucks a month!! The best part was they came to our house to have us refill out the paper!! So awesome!! I recently stopped by to get my first oil change and it went quickly and smoothly. Will definitely be leasing my next vechile from here as well. Hit up Sasha with Audi if you guys need a new ride! She is kind and very intune to want an individual needs and wants! Highly recommend this dealership!! Pictured is my 2020 Atlas Cross Sport doing VW things in Yosemite Valley 💖💖
Hazel did an awesome job and very helpful, would definitely recommend their services. Thank you to David and Lisa also...
I just bought a car from here last week and all I can say is that our experience there was one of the best experiences with any dealership that me and my husband have had. Lisa was amazing and went above and beyond to ensure that we got the best deal and made us feel like a friend and not just a customer. Over all very great, and would recommend to anyone in the market for a new car. Thank you for being so amazing and if anyone is in need of a car from Volkswagen talk to lisa, I promise you won’t regret it.😊
Just purchased a vehicle from here and the whole process was very smooth. The staff who I worked with were professional and courteous. They confirmed my appointment, had the car I had inquired about out front ready for a test drive, and answered all of the questions I had. The finance team only offered the extra warranties instead of pushing them like most places do. Very happy with my experience!
From the minute I walked on the lot I was greeted with professionalism. I received a call prior to arriving to confirm the appointment and was greeted with a complimentary starbucks, as well as the vehicle I wanted to see not only ready to see, but it was also washed. The salesmen TJ, went above and beyond to make sure that we went over all of the features that I wanted on the vehicle. Happy finalized everything for me in the finance department both quickly and efficiently. This was by far the best experience I could have ever hoped for. The sales manager, Brandon took the time to go over many different quotes with me, until we were able to find the one that worked for me. My expectations were completely exceeded. I could not recommend this dealership enough. Do yourself a favor and go check this place out.
Very lazy and no knowledge about how to fix a Volkswagen vehicle they charged me 1500 for my car over heating . They supposedly fixed it and the same day I took it home it was still doing the same . I toook it back and they said it’s fine to drive around like that ?! Now they want 600 $ more so they can have the trunk open when I took the car to them that wasn’t a problem! I came here for a trustworthy place so it can be fixed right and nope I did not get this ! Pathetic people
I purchased a new VW Atlas back in April this year. Our salesman, Braulio, was amazing! He Personally delivered the car and a beautiful cake to our home. He gave us his cell number and said to contact him for anything we needed in regards to the vehicle, including scheduling service apts. Unfortunately, my brakes started making some crazy noises and squeaking non-stop. I tried calling their main line to make an apt and could never get through. I felt bad, but I had to contact Braulio in regards to scheduling the apt. I also was in need of a loaner vehicle while my car was being worked on (I have pick ups and drop offs for kiddos all day 🤪). Within 2 minutes of texting him, he responded and had it all handled for me (Appointment scheduled, loaner vehicle ready, etc). I am so grateful for his continued help and support. BRAULIO IS AWESOME! My car, on the other hand has been in for service 3 different times in just a few months, and is STILL NOT FIXED. Volkwagon of Bakersfield is lucky to have someone like Braulio who continues to impress us even after the sale. Thank you sir! Now, if they could just figure out why my car sounds like it’s going to turn into a transformer at every stop, that’d be great 😉
Best best best Sasha was amazing maria got us better deal they worked until we were comfortable with our purchase the best!
Quick to sell me a car, but horrible customer service. Tried to cancel a warranty that I no longer need bc I no longer have the car, no one will take my call, cant ever get a hold of anyone in finance nor an operator. I feel like they avoid people like me because they dont want to return my money.
I’d personally not recommend buying anything from this Dealership. Typical slimeball salesmen that’ll do anything to get a sale. They told me that the Carfax showing, “Damage reported” wouldn’t affect the price of the car as long as it showed “no accidents”. When I traded the car in, I found out they lied.
Oh my goodness!! 5 calls and no call back! Tough luck if you have a VW. The phone is always picked up by someone from Audi service. I was joking with the lady that if you want service at the dealership one should buy an Audi. This is the second time I am getting service and not t single time was the service phone picked up by VW. The Audi person had to contact VW for me to get any kind of response. very disappointing
Fast and friendly. They really made me feel welcomed and I appreciate that.
Really sorry if you have a VW and live in Bakersfield, this place is no good and unfortunately there are no options. I have a 2019 Jetta with only 20K miles and it started to have a weird sound in one of the wheels, so I took it to this dealership early in the morning, they called me after 4pm to tell me that the pad is gone, and they need $700 to change the pad and the disc. (please note that car was in for service about a month ago, I guess they done inspect brakes to prevent this damage). this car is still under warranty, and I have never in my life owned a car with 20K miles that needed a new brake disc. So they didnt fix it, and now I have to find an honest place where I can take it, after wasting the entire day waiting on this service department. Apparently VW are not as good as they just to be, and this dealership: even worse. not leasing a VW again.
Great dealership to purchase a vehicle from. They offer great deals and quick service if you know what you’re looking for. Juan helped me purchase my first car & he was very helpful and offered me a great deal that worked with my budget!
Awesome dealership, everyone is Friendly and nice! Very professional
Today I was greeted by a very professional staff. They were helpful with my purchase as well as extremely patient with me as I took my time deciding and testing car seat set ups! Overall I had a great experience here and I will definitely be back when I need another vehicle. Thank you Juan for a great car buying experience!
The best dealership I have worked with! Thank you to my salesperson Bells you were just amazing!...Thanks Lisa & Elliot...& Miguel the service rep who was always great with all my service needs with my last VW! 🌟
We had a great experience. They were very up front and fair about working our purchase deal. Juan did a great job!
This is the second brand new car I have purchased from here. Always something wrong. Sometimes I am taken care of but mostly not. Always having to replace tires and batteries, etc. They don’t wash car and basically don’t care. They don’t even put all your tools that come in the personal tool box back, then they leave their dirty tools inside. Bye bye VW. Hopefully Audi is better.
I too, was greeted with fast and friendly service immediately!!! The staff posses a great attitude and genuine will to help. My purchase did not take hours and I left with the vehicle I really wanted!!! Kudos to Bakersfield VW!!!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🚘
Lisa is a one woman dealership. I know there were others involved in my transaction. But she was my point of contact. Simply the best car dealership in Bakersfield.
I honestly would not recommend this dealership at all. One of my tires was low on air; therefore I went to get it checked out. I don’t know who the mechanic was that checked my car but they ended up saying that one of my tires was low on air. They just pumped air and informed me to restart the tire pressure so the sign would go off the dashboard. I had to leave for a business conference to Nevada and I left my car in Bakersfield at a friends place. I get back two days later and that same tire was completely flat. In addition, I don’t reside in Bakersfield and it was a weekend and there was nothing that could be done until the next day which was Monday on behalf of VW dealership. I had to get my car towed, had a nail in my tire that was not checked correctly, and American’s tire was able to successfully check my tire correctly and patch it. That was on my part and I have guarantee with VW which defeats the purpose of not getting any type of help from that specific dealership. It was a very stressful day and this could have been prevented if the person who checked my car followed the correct process on checking any defects on a tire! I want to say that if you have any issues with your VW car, I once again strongly recommend to not come to this dealership.
Service advisor very polite and helpful. Even called lyft. For a ride to and from home.
I have a 2017 Volkswagen jetta was looking into trading it for a newer car but the sales manager attitude turned me awayTime for you guys to have a team meeting and bring joy and happy associate back into ur dealership
Where do I start. Long story so I keep it short. I have been to at least 10 dealerships in the last three weeks looking for a truck. I seen a vehicle on a app called OfferUp and decided to ask if the GMC was still available. The gentleman by the name Mr. Tony Santana responded back. The price they wanted I could not afford but Mr. Tony worked day and night with consistent communication to get the truck at a good price for me and my family. It’s not enough words that can express what this gentleman did for me . He treated me with respect and honestly. Never met, never spoke on the phone. Everything was done through text message, which was perfect due to my line of work. Out of all the salesperson I have with with since I have purchase numerous vehicles Mr. Tony is by far the best professional I have experience in my lifetime. I will definitely be driving to their location just to shake this gentleman man even though I could not get the truck. It wasn’t because of them but issues with my bank and budget. Thank you sir!!!!!! I really do appreciate it!!!!!
I came in just to look and juan helped me out with a quote then showed me whats best for me in my budget real nice guy and good customer service 👍🏻
I had a really great experience, juan is very helpful and very professional, I would definitely do business again.
Had to come to Volkswagen for a check engine light. The service rep was Mandy. She was nice. It was going to be a while before they could look at my car so they called a Lyft for me.The dealership was nice. The waiting area had coffee and refreshments. I didn’t partake in any but it was a welcome sight. Saw a sign for WiFi. Nice touch but I didn’t need it. The showroom was nice and clean and had some pop music playing from a Bluetooth speaker in a corner. I was cool with that. They found the problem. It was under warranty but they needed the car overnight. Which was fine. So in 24 hours they found and fixed the problem. I’m very satisfied with the service I got. Thanks VW of Bakersfield.
Never answer or return calls services guys sitting in front are very rude
Very courteous and professional bunch. My transaction went smoothly and I am definitely sticking with them for any and all car concerns now and in the future.
Very quick and courteous service friendly salespersons and very thorough in doing their job
Thank you for the excellent service and for taking care of my vehicle. You guys went above and beyond.
I was in the middle of a road trip .Had to stop midway. This dealership got me back on the road fast!
We went to get of oil change
Great buying experience !!!
They knowingly sell defective cars. Went there looking for used car which had a recall on it that had not been addressed which could cause a crash. Showed them the part that needed replacing and asked to lower price by that amount to make the car safe to drive. Sales manager just shrugged it off and said No way we can go lower on the price Good luck to whoever buys that car, hope they dont die.
Service isnt for the customer . They dont do things in a timely matter... they told me one day now they arent sure when itll be done exactly. Weird business practices. They have not once tried to help this be an easy repair process . Seems like we are on the service managers time considering the fact they said a certain day my car would.be done and didnt notify me when it wasnt finished in time . When i spoke to miguel he said it might be done the day the said. they just had a couple things to check over and well they end up closing and i never got a call back about my vehicle.
Run for the hills--this place is filled with scam artists who do not disclose critical information about their vehicles until after theyve attempted to lock you in.
Just wish they picked up their phones (calls go VM)
If you would like to talk to service good luck. Called at 9:30am asked for service and was directed to a voicemail. No biggie, I’m a patient person and left voicemail to call me back. 3 hours later no call back. I called again and again Voicemail. After waiting all day I called a third time and explained to the receptionist that I had already called and left voicemails with no return call. They said sure let me get you to someone. I was on hold for 20 min and no one ever answered. I guess when you buy a car from them that’s the last time they will talk to you. It’s now the end of the day ... I wonder if they just delete the Voicemails or if they actually listen to them?I want to add that the general manager emailed me and said he would like to talk about that day. I emailed him back and again no response from the manager. I guess it’s lead by example.
I love my new car, but customer service issues have been a nightmare. I purchased my car on July 15th and my old car still hasnt been paid off. Its now been 3 weeks and I still dont have my spare key. I was never explained anything about how to operate the car or the features that come along with the car. Its frustrating and unprofessional, Im happy with the vehicle itself, but I would like everything taken care of.Update got the key...and its missing the valet. Their customer service team is deeply incompetent and disorganizedUpdate - it is now August 12 and my trade in has STILL not been paid off, and now no one is returning my calls.
Very impressed with this dealership. I bought a used Passat and it was a very smooth-no hassle transaction. I even went back a month later to get a front license plate hangar. Michelle, in the service department not only provided me with one, she had it installed all in about 15 minutes of my arrival. She also realized I had stem covers missing on the tires and took care of that as well. Friendly service and a customer care centered staff.
The actual service of itself was fine, it is the sneaky way they charge you for it. The repair estimate was for parts and labor. The labor estimate was 4 hours. The actual lapsed time to repair was only 2 hours, but they charged me 4 hours! In my view they should charge for the actual time they worked. My point is that the service manager was not being ethical in his dealings. When you estimate how long something takes to fix there is an implication that it could be over or under the estimated 4 hours. Surely if it was over they would have charged more than 4 hours. So when it is under the estimate ethically you should only charge for the time actually spent. It is not ethical to think you should be paid for 2 hours of labour that you did not do. That is two hours of 100% profit as you did not have to pay for a technician for work he did not do.This is dishonest in my opinion. When confronted with the over charging they said, that is just how they do it..
Great service, but the appointment system is a little off. show up early!
Came in for parts, all who came up to me were very polite and helpful was very satisfied in my visit thank you VW of Bakersfield
Best place to buy a car, excellent service excellent staff an excellent pricing thats my experience! If you deal with them they will deal with you hands down.
I had a horrible experience with this place. I financed a car with them and needed to get it registered in another state. I went to the dmv three times and cardinale way never sent the title. They finally sent it two days before my temporary registration expired, but I was no longer in the city. I asked them for another 15 day registration and they refused. The manager said there was nothing she could do and refused to take the blame insisting that they weren’t a franchise when they clearly are. She said she would call around to double check the laws, but I believe she just wanted me off the phone.
Great experience! Ask for TJ The Car Guy, tell him I sent you in. He has ALOT of energy and will get you a great deal on a new or used car. You can also look him up by that handle on Facebook to let him know what you are looking for and also set up a time to meet up if you so desire (he has no idea that I am posting this just so you know, lol)
Why bother buying local. You try calling this place and the phone rings and rings. Finally they pickup. Transfer to the parts department and ring ring ring. Finally you think theyre picking up. No. Its Carlos telling you he cant pickup the phone to help a customer right now. Ill mail order the part with less hassle and probably cheaper. :: Update. I called another VW dealer. Phone answered right away. Parts picked up in two rings. Ordered the head and it will be in on Thursday from LA.
This is my second VW and I have been a VW customer for 12 years and have never had as many problems with communication from the service department as I have with this one. I have been told repeatedly that I would be getting a call in the morning and am lucky if I get a call back in the afternoon after calling multiple times.
I just wish the salesman could avoid me driving 100 miles from Los Angeles to the dealership, by being honest & not giving me BS after the fact that I got a call about me approved for my suggested numbers & my credit score. Such waste of money, time & above all THE TRUST.
Service department changes pricing from when you first take your car in to when you pick it up! Im paying $300 more than what I was originally quoted and no one called me to me about the price change!
Warning! Do not buy a used vehicle from this dealership!, they do not do a vehicle inspection, and they never disclosed that my vehicle was a rental, plus after 12 days of owning my car, my oil change sensor went on and my side door lock broke and my cabin filter was black. I spoke to the sales manager and he said he will contact me with my concerns and after calling 4 times after, never returned any of my calls, they just take your money and run, they dont care about their customers!
Not very happy with them I told guy before. Even went down what I had and if he could work with me with that then great and if not let me know cause I didnt want to wait his time as well as my time. He said yes I can work with that so I went down there for a big dispointment he lied to me about everything.
If you like getting the good cop/bad cop routine pulled on you by car sales managers, this place is perfect. I made a deal on the phone, rented a car to get there and half way there when the other manager said I got too good of a deal from his peer manager Earnie who wasnt on duty that day so I had to pay $2500 more. Then he blamed the poor young sales rep Michael for misrepresenting himself to me which was not true. Shady, shady, shady. Go elsewhere.
**UPDATED** BUYER BEWARE**I purchased a vehicle there MONTHS ago. The dash was cracked. On my due bill they were supposed to send me a replacement. I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT. AFTER NUMEROUS CALLS & EMAILS.
Great deal on a car!!!
This is the best car deliver ship and hood place
Went for an oil change and they told me that I didnt need one yet. They reset my oil change notification, topped off the washing fluid and washed my car for no charge.
New owner has made a positive impact on the work and the people who work there. Service, and communication about service is great. The people there take pride in creating as positive an experience as possible, which creates a positive atmosphere thats appreciated.
Everybody there was very helpful and they found me exactly what I was looking for it was actually a very good experience
The service advisers are exceedingly kind and the work was done both quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend getting your vehicle serviced here.
AMAZING people, service, & inventory! They make it happen and they do it with integrity and great service! They were amazing with my trade and gave me a great price for the trade-in and the new car! THANK YOU FAMILY MOTORS! I love my new Jetta!
Great place!
Outstanding customer service, clean area, childrens quiet area free wifi, coffee and snacks, hi energy and personable staff in service dept
Best Volkswagen dealer in town. The guys are great and informative on their vw knowledge.
We dealt with two different salespersons and their senior employee. Rather than telling us anything (you qualify, you dont qualify, we cant help you, or anything) they never got back to us! We were left hanging on thinking they were working on getting us the vehicle we wanted (that they did say). My wife called repeatedly and always were working on it. Then absolutely nothing further!!!The poorest service I have received and we have purchased many vehicles.
Awesome people and great customer service. I highly recommend it.
Everybody I talked to was nice. If I’m going to rate the people there, it would have been 5 stars...but I went there for service so....... I’m giving the one who serviced my car 1.Oil change includes free brake check up, top up fluids and tire rotation. Thay topped up my coolant, not sure about inspecting my brake but they definitely DIDN’T rotate my tires. This is one of the situations where you can say that having a scratch on your aftermarket rim is a good thing. When I go for service, I want to trust the one who’s servicing my car that’s why I went to VW Bakersfield Dealership than to some other oil changing shop. People want to make sure that if the service department say they’ll do 4 different services to your car, they should do 1, 2, 3 & 4 and not miss one. This is more of a TRUST rating to me. Would I go back?....probably not.I like that they put tire block after washing cars though.
Wonderful customer service. Frequent customer service surveys make them accountable to Volkswagen of America. Repair service center pruce is comprable, if not better, than most independent shops. Good quality work.
I purchased my Touareg Diesel in August of 2015. I have been through the mandatory changes required by the law suit and have had considerable problems with my vehicle over the past year. I have check engine lights on, service performed which was not complete. Most recently serviced and the service department forgot to add the necessary ADD Blue to my vehicle. This required me to bring the car back in to correct this oversight and days later find a new Check Engine light with at indication that my ADD Blue was running out and I had only 200 miles before the engine would shut down. This required another trip to the dealer, get a loaner car for 2 days, and then another trip back to the dealer to get my vehicle.I should point out that I live in Tehachapi (~45 miles from the dealer in Bakersfield) and each round trip takes 3+ hours depending on whether my vehicle is ready or I need to wait for service. So this running back and forth to the dealer is troublesome since I work another 50 miles in the opposite direction from the dealer. The latest exercise seems to have been a bad NOX sensor which needed to be replace and that turns out to have been the same sensor that was replaced within the past months.I like the vehicle very much but it seems that the older it gets (110,000 miles) the more problems I am encountering and in more than one instance the service department staff have failed to do a Quality Check on their work which causes me to make another set of trips in to the dealer. This is getting more and more frustrating.
Went in on Black Friday and purchased a new car. Tons of inventory. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Would definately recommend them.
As the previous raters have noted the place is very clean and for the most part the agents are very nice. My problem is the deal. We went to look at a 2013 Volkswagen Passat diesel. The asking price was $21,999, they immediately gave us $2,000 off which brought it down to $19,999. I wanted to trade my car in and I didnt have it with me (went in the wifes car) so we listed all the options it had. Well they offered me $7,000 for it. Of course that would be contingent on their evaluation when I drove it in. I came home and did some research. Their car with the mileage it has and all the features is listed as a fair deal at $17,559. My car with all the options was listed as a fair trade in value of $8,561. Do the math. If I were you I would seriously look elsewhere and do your homework before you do. I didnt. I didnt buy the car either. So in this Great Deal, I would have paid them $2,400 more than the car is worth and I would have lost $1,500 on my car. $3,900 dollars is a lot of money that this dealership would have made in profit above and beyond a fair deal. So what this means is they are looking to make a killing and it could be at your expense. BUYER BEWARE.
I recently went to Volkswagen services and the advisor Amanda Shmidit was so un professional and unwilling to do her job. I’ve come here multiple times over the last 3 years but I have never been serviced this poorly. She was so uncooperative to help me and she didn’t seem like she cared about my situation. She would not be working in service with that type of personality. Totally would not recommend talking to her
From start to finish, this was our best car buying experience ever! Our salesman, David Finster, was easy to be around and very knowledgeable. Mike, the manager, and Laurie, the finance person, was great too. Every single person we came in contact with was pleasant. Happy people work there. It says something when people truly feel blessed to have there jobs and like their boss. I finally get the whole V-dub thing! We love our new Passat!
Excellent Service, Great courtesy, Amiable Staff !!!
Fantastic service, great prices, ask for Miguel in VW service
Started off really good here. We bought two cars through this dealership. After poor service at the service dept, and the inability to cut us a good deal on our 2nd lease turn in, we wound up at the Mercedes dealer.
Dont buy here!! I saved thousands off MSRP by driving 2 hours south when Family Motors was marking up their inventory simply because I wanted to buy a brand new 2018 Atlas.
I had a service guy name Alex, he did a fantastic job for me and gave me a discount for next time I get my car serviced! He also had Volkswagen wash my car
Feels like Im getting raped every time I go in for a service. They charge an oil pressure switch $498.64 ($9 online for OEM part, takes less than 15min to replace), Glow plug on cylinder #5 $353.93 (Online OEM part price $97 again 30min job) Battery $104.26 - reasonable for high end battery. Total of $1156. If you can drive to LA, service and buy your cars in LA. I would give them zero stars but thats not possible!
I prefer to have a loaner because I have tons of errands and doctors appointments. I dont have the money to pay for Uber or Lyft. I hope this help.
Its a car dealership. Ive purchased 2 new cars from them. Sure parts are more here but like I said, its a car dealership. Ive never felt cheated here.
Jerry was excellent and thoroughly explained all the finance options that I had and was extremely patient due to me not being able to purchase right away but I did a week later. Thanks Jerry !
I had a great experience this time.
Really shady sales and parts department.I asked if there would be 2019 GTIs coming in and the response I get “no there’s isn’t one coming in. We usually get one every 2-3 months.” I even asked to check their back inventory or vehicles coming in and said “no we don’t have 2019 GTIs coming any sooner.” So I signed to purchase a 2018 GTI they have on their lot. The following day in the afternoon, I went to their dealer to pick up the 2018 GTI and then found a 2019 Golf GTI Rabbit Edition SITTING ON THEIR SHOWROOM. From that point I lost my trust and drove straight to Sangera Subaru and bought a fully loaded 2019 WRX Limited instead. I went back to cancel the 2018 GTI purchase and they were quite hesitant that first they told me about the no-cooling off period, second they finally told me to take home the 2019 GTI Rabbit edition for the night, and for their last final resort is they tried to sell me a used WRX STi on their lot. Legally, if you signed the papers but haven’t driven off the dealer lot, you’re not locked nor bound to that vehicle. As for the parts department, these guys don’t know how to process refund through PayPal, so I don’t recommend buying parts through their website. It doesn’t take 2 weeks to just log on to PayPal account and process the refund. And it’s also not my responsibility to contact PayPal to have refund to be processed. I tried calling their parts manager and receive no reply. Whenever I catch him on the spot, he would always go to lunch. This is really shady.
Went in for a recall and a battery replacement under warranty and they didnt do the recall work.
Fast friendly service.
Friendly staff and good customer service
Thank you Oscar, Sales Manager & Jerry, Sales for the courtesy and professional experience when we visited the Family Volkswagen in Bakersfield. Plus, the Dealership was so clean and inviting making our visit stress free and memorable. Although my son didnt buy a new VW at this time we are sure to return to this friendly dealership when we decide to purchase a VW. Great representation of how Dealerships should operate in their Sales and Service.
Very disappointed with Volkswagen of Bakersfield I called to make an appointment for a recall on my VW Bug on February 26th at 9 in the morning. I spoke to Miguel from servicing Department in Bakersfield. He transferred me to a young lady who does the scheduling. She told me that she was going to go to the parts department, see if they have the part and she would call me back. That was at 9 in the morning I never received a phone call back. I had to call back at 3 myself. I spoke to Miguel, he specifically told me I had an appointment already I said how could I have an appointment the girl never called me back with a time. He asked me if I knew her name? I said no, all I know is you transferred me to her this morning to schedule an appointment. He put me on hold and he went to check for an appointment time. He came back on the line and he told me he had an appointment for me for the next day. Wednesday at 9:30 in the morning. I then stress my concerns on another matter that had nothing to do with my recall. I told him I have a problem with my check engine light. Everytime my mechanic gives my car a tune-up and changes the oil the check engine light always stays on. Not the oil light. my mechanic used his machine to see what was wrong with it. It reads factory reset. My mechanic informed me that I have to go to the VW dealership and have them reset it. Miguel told me I would have to have my car serviced their at VW Servicing Center in order for me to have the light turned off. I asked him, I have to pay to have the light turned off and have it serviced when I have my own mechanic? When its something so simple, Miguel said thats fine dont worry about it! Just remind me when you come in tomorrow to have your recall fixed and Ill fix it for you! I thought to myself, what amazing customer service and was very grateful! This morning my husband took in my car to have the recall fixed! He reminded Miguel about my factory reset light on .Miguel said he never said he was going to go ahead and fix it without charging me! However my husband was sitting next to me and I had my phone on speaker. He heard my whole conversation with Miguel. I feel thats wrong that Miguel offered to fix something and then later on turned around and refuse to fix it. Wanted to charge us $140 to remove the factory reset check engine light! Miguel not once told me in our phone conversation he was going to charge me $140.00 to reset it. If this is how Miguel does business for Volkswagen of Bakersfield its not okay and I wont ever do business with Volkswagen of Bakersfield again. Ill have my factory reset light fixed at a different dealer and never recommend Volkswagen of Bakersfield to anyone....

Just called Finance to get information on my warranty. When I bought the warranty they were nice and helpful, but today when I needed it, I felt the guy in finance was dismissive. Informed me that he couldn’t help me because their system changed. I was told to call Monday. Well, my car that you sold me is at the VW in the Los angles area and they need it now. When you guys sold me the car you were friendly and wanted those 10 marks on your survey. Yet when I needed help, the finance guy couldn’t do nothing for me. I’m pretty sure someone there could have answered my question or helped me. You’re guys’ service is going downhill. Whoever wAs in finance today (spoke to a male around 435PM on 7/14/2018), he was kinda rude and dismissive. Didn’t wanna help and wasn’t apologietic that he couldn’t do anything.
This dealership gets two stars only because of the rep that the owner has, at one point he help people who were less fortunate but now he does not really care as long as the money keeps rolling in. Hey that is what business is all about, take the money and run is that right Mr. A, I am disabled i dont have the income that i would like to have, however i can afford any car you have on your lot, but in the world that we live in that is not possiable. People the banks are the ones who own the cars the owners, they just make it harder for you to purchase a car, I believe the term is called scapegoating its a way to sort out the unwanted from those who are wanted, and that is what family motors does, well really all the dealers do this. I seen a car at family motors that was for 15,000.00 figuring out the years to pay the car, with interest fees and a small down, i could have afforded it. Well guess what family motors now i have saved enough money 1/3, but you will not get it for the way that you discriminated against me.
Whenever I come to this dealership there’s an issue. I live fairly far away, so it isn’t convenient for me to drive an hour and not get what I had intended to get done. The first time I came to get a recall fixed the staff insisted I didn’t have a recall on my car even though I had brought the dmv paper that said I did. After I paid for them to change the air filter they told me that I did have a recall afterall & told me I would have to come back at another time to get it done. On another occasion, I made an appt to get another recall fixed & when I arrived they told me they didn’t have the part to fix the recall. I wasted gas & time on an issue that could have easily been resolved with a phone call. Don’t waste your time coming to this dealership.
Had set up an appointment, but the guy who was there said they still had 8 cars ahead of me & it would take all day. Yet they were all sitting down doing nothing. They were also rude & he threw my keys at me cause he couldnt get them out of the lanyard they were in. Very unprofessional & ignorant. The Hispanic guy who is an assistant or associate was completely rude. And when my girlfriend & I decided we were taking off, he had an attitude & once again threw the keys on the table. Definitely never going back there. Ill rather drive up back home to Los Angeles for car issues instead of here. Worst dealership ever.
Had a good experience buying a 2018 VW Tiguan just took a long to do so
I paid the service department 2,000 to fix my overheating problem. Not even three months later my car starts overheating. I brought it back in and they said the car was not overheating. I commute from Taft to Bakersfield so they did not drive it long enough to realize it was overheating EVERY DAY. Terrible service. Terrible products. Terrible dealership. Then they wanted an additional 1,500 to fix overheating again. Dont make the same mistake I did. When we called to ask if we would pay the amount would the car Forsure be fixed they said they couldnt completely gurantee their work.
Whenever you go to a car dealership, you have this fear in mind that either I be cheated or over charged or something will go wrong but my experience for VW dealer was different till I meet Family VWBackgroundI am VolksWagen person from last 5 year and drove 4 different VW but after interacting to Family VW, My trust is little shattered, This place brings everything for which auto dealers are famous for, They are just everything which you want to avoid while buying / servicing your car,IssueI have an eGolf and it got charging issue so I reached out to VW US and they asked me to send my car to them as they are the closest electric car dealer, They kept my car for a week and coordinated very well but my dis-appointment started when I got back my car with a scratch on it. I reported this issue to delivery person and he called someone and asked me to wait as they will reach me backMy frustration further elevated when I found that none of the issues were resolved where as they gave me a signed off tech sheet which explain the issues were resolved or not reproducedAfter waiting for 2 days, I called their service manager whose behavior was utterly rude and he deflects every issue, even though I sent him pictures of issue being reproduced, About scratch, he maintained a stand that scratch was always there even though the signed off sheet which they gave me while collecting my car dont have a single word about itIn short, Trust, Honesty and Customer dealing took heavy beating as I end up having a faulthy car with an additional scratch on itIf possible, AVOID THEM, you have better VW dealers out there
