I took my 2007 Honda accord into automotive technical for A/C Repairs. Andy went above and beyond to not only fix the air conditioning but replaced hoses and things I was not even aware needed attention. To ensure my safety! My car had a lot of original parts that needed to be addressed. It runs better than it has in years! And the front end is so sturdy. Andy is the most honest mechanic I have ever been to, and being a woman did not take advantage of my lack of knowledge about cars. I will continue to use technical automotive for my car in the future. Honest reliable and very affordable.

Best shop for everything old and new! The owner Andy is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet, but runs a very honest and up front establishment. They wont over charge you for anything like ROSEDALE AUTOMOTIVE DOES. Make the right choice for whatever you drive...technical automotive services! You wont be disappointed..

This is the only place that touches any of our classic cars unless it is a specialty thing Andy doesnt feel they can handle (and yes, he will tell you.) Once the manufacturers warranty is expired, they are the only ones that touch our daily drivers too. Good people, fair prices, very through, and they are FRIENDS.

When the mechanic asks “What did you do to it?” after the vehicle leaves you stranded after just spending roughly $1,900 to have work done, that’s usually not a good sign.Going back a little, my vehicle was having stalling issues ever since I had the engine and carburetor rebuilt in 2016/2017 at another shop. It had been parked for roughly ten years before that. On April 4, 2017, I spent about $790 at this shop to get both my temperature gauge and my gas gauge functioning. They stopped working a few weeks later, just after the labor warranty expired. I later found out the wiring that was utilized during this repair was shoddy. The vehicle would still stall (although this repair wasn’t made to fix the stalling issue). On May 15, 2017, I spent roughly $408 (Invoice # 19489) to have my charging system checked and alternator and voltage regulator replaced. The vehicle would still stall. On September 13, 2017, I spent $125 (Invoice # 19682) to have the charging sytem checked again and the voltage regulator replaced again (under warranty) and to (basically) put gas in the vehicle. The vehicle would still stall. On February 5, 2018, I spend $1,240 (Invoice # 19843) for the installation of a four-barrel carburetor (originally a factory two-barrel vehicle), on top of spending $650 for the manifold from a third party. After driving the car for about 30 minutes it left me stranded. I immediately called Andy and explained the situation and was promptly responded with: What did you do to the vehicle? After explaining what I did (attempted to start the vehicle), I was told it’s an electrical issue. Yes, after I paid twice to have this issue inspected in May and September.Regarding the installation, the manifold wasn’t installed properly. There was oil escaping from one of the manifold bolts. Also, this was the 3rd or 4th carburetor that had been installed on the vehicle, not all from this shop but to the shop’s knowledge. You’d think after the installation of the second one with the vehicle still stalling afterwards, the problem probably doesn’t lie with the carburetor. Not to mention the numerous fuel pumps that had been installed (at least one here). After this last waste of money, I took the vehicle to John at Central Valley Classics (Fresno, CA) and he told me what the problem was (charging system) within 5 minutes of performing a preliminary inspection. Either Andy (or whoever checked the vehicle) never checked the charging system or has a serious deficiency in the logical procesing of charging system fundamentals. The particular make and model of my vehicle requires a specific voltage to function properly. If you’re going to charge me $115 an hour, you should know this. Don’t learn on my dime.Going back to Andy, the thing that sticks out the most (other than the significant loss of money) was the quality of the customer service, or lack there of. I never once heard: Your driver’s side mirror was rattling so I went ahead and tightened a loose screw for you. Or: There’s coolant that’s building up on the top of your intake manifold, do you want me to take a look at that? Or: The back of your vehicle smells like fuel, maybe I should check for leaks.***Owner’s response below fails to address, even remotely, the proximate cause of the vehicle failure (charging system diagnostic and repair). All other statements, while comedic and fancifully entertaining, are irrelevant and contain a plurality of factual inaccuracies and misrepresentations not worth addressing at the present.

I have been going to Andy with all my auto services for the past 3 years and have always come away pleased with their work. They have taken care of my 1974 Triumph TR6 and more recently with my 2004 Jaguar XKR. I had the transmission serviced and the belts replaced, which when done had the car running like new. I have also taken in a 2005 Nissan Altima for a student my wife and I help. Their work on all cars was excellent, prompt, and the prices were far below that of a dealer and workmanship far above shops at comperable prices. ATS is honest, a good shop with a great crew of mechanics. Both Andy and James, his reliable service and parts order man, will treat you as a valued customer. I highly recommend them for all your foreign, domestic, and your classic car needs.
