Being charged for a truck past four days and no one has contacted me and I never rented a truck they wont even return corporate office cals or emails
Great experience given the fun of moving. Jose is very knowledgeable of what he is doing and made sure everyone was taken care of efficiently. He structured his staff well as it got busy to get everyone out and on their way with a great attitude. Attentive to everyones needs.
PLEASE listen to the reviews, don’t make the same mistake I did. Customer service is dead at this place.
If I could give no stars I would this was the worst uhaul experience I have ever had i did a online pre-order to pick up a 15 foot truck the wait time to get the truck was over 50 mins not only did they give my truck away to another customer they stuck me with the bill for it when it was their mistake so please check your card later for added charges now I have to dispute over 500$ in charges with my bank I WILL NEVER USE THIS UHAUL EVER AGAIN
Jose did an excellent job on a very busy morning. He balanced handling multiple reservations while ensuring he took care of our needs. Props to him for making our experience better during our move!
Worst service ever don’t ever rent from them. They are rude. Better places to rent. They don’t know what they are doing. It’s run by tweakers

Great customer service inside and in the hookup lot. This location has lots of u-haul supplies - boxes, hitches, etc.
John the assistant manager was the most rudest person on the lot. He gave us a trailer with a bad tire that was rubbing against the fender and screw.The truck had no AC( we’re traveling from California to Texas). Humberto (associate working front desk)Walked away from Me because I told him to call the Manager He told me to call 1800 number and good luck or call 1800 road assistance, I would NEVER go here again. I would not recommend them to anyone.
I was already pressed for time to get a trailer receiver installed on my SUV. I was worried Uhaul wouldn’t get the parts in before my trip. Jose and the tech made sure I was hooked-up, ready and safe for travel in time! He went so far out of his way for me. He truly cares for his customers. Would absolutely recommended! Also a big thank you to Jose and staff for investing so much time and effort for me; I truly appreciate it!
Under staffed location, but the employees try their best. Anthony Melendez helped me on the counter while he had to help somebody else on the phone at the same time. Only one guy helping outside, not his fault. Great vibe, seems like the guys like what they are doing, and will go the extra mile if they can.
My issue isn’t with the u-haul it’s more. With the manager Jose Olmeda . He was very direct and rude and I could sense our communication was going to extend to a verbal argument. He has a passive aggressive demeanor and I noticed while I was waiting in line the he was mistreating his employees the same way.The truck we rented was also from uhaul (another location) and the manager made us purchase the tow hitch. When the associate had mentioned we could barrow it.I already drove two hours to pick up this and have a 12 hour drive ahead of me. With all the stress in my job as a law enforcement officer and with the current stress levels with the pandemic. The attitude of this “Manager” was not appreciate and reflects poorly on U-haul.
Over a $400 total price having it less than 24 hours pathetic!
Called this number for a truck rental reservation on Wednesday for Saturday for a forced moveout, then I had to change the date to Friday. I gave good timing and requested a change, which the associate did and gave me the address to a service on Ming Ave. I go to pick it up 20 min early and I arrive at a body shop who have no idea that there is supposed to have that service. I had to take an Uber to this place and then I was informed that they had nothing for me at any location. Needless to say, it was very upsetting.

I have been to this location a number of times to return rentals, buy boxes, etc. Everyone there is always super nice and professional and very helpful. Thanks for the good customer service.
PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION.I regret going to this location.I had THE WORST customer service experience ever here. The manager John K. was servicing me but kept putting my services on hold to argue with another customer or disappearing. I got there at 10:45 for my appointment and didnt leave until 11:30. Near the end of the transaction John made Juan help me. We finalized the order and then apparently John forgot to charge me for the additional parts I needed for the 5×8 trailer I was renting, so I was charged an extra 25. Then I guess one of the parts was not counted for. Juan wanted to give me $25 off for the bad service, but then John suddenly took over and only gave me $15 off even though I was told $25. So with all the crackheads outside loitering, their credit card machine kept freezing, their lack of communication, terrible service from the MANAGER of all people, this was by far the WORST customer service experience Ive ever had. Go to any uhaul except this one. I shouldve taken my business with the one on white lane. I regret ever coming to the S. Union location.
Great counter help.Absolutely horrible tech help.Came in with a technical problem with a uhaul trailer I had rented elsewhere. The front counter guy was very helpful and tried getting me tech help but the tech was uninterested and wouldn’t even look at the trailer.I broke down 5 hours later in the dark by the side of the road. Thanks unhelpful tech guy.Sorry I can’t give 5 stars for the front office guy and negative 5 stars for the tech guy.
I stood in line for 45 minutes to rent a trailer I had reserved ahead of time and pre registered for online. Next time, Ill just build my own trailer. Itll be faster.

Walked into the store and reserved a truck. Was guaranteed a truck to be picked up Friday evening and returned Sunday morning. Received a call on Friday morning asking when we were going to pick up the truck and after stating that evening, the lady was confused and said we were scheduled to pick it up and this morning and have it returned by Saturday morning. She told me that she would call me back in a little bit. 3 hours later, I still had not received call. I called the story and the person who answered said that there were no trucks available for the size requested. I was transferred to another person and even after telling them that I gave my credit card information to the guy at the store, that I was scheduled to have the truck till Sunday - why wasnt it available!? The lady at the store said that I was never charged that was just to hold the truck - what is the difference? I have people showing up to help me move tomorrow and they can only help me move for a couple of hours. What was supposed to be a 1 trip move has now turned into a nightmare all thanks to Uhaul. I am highly disappointed in their lack of communication and their customer service skills! I would have gave them 0 stars if that was allowed. 1 star is too high of a star for them!
Awful experience with a power-tripping associate. I didn’t catch his name but look out for the 45-year-old-man-living-his-mothers-basement look. He wouldn’t rent to me because someone else from 11 years ago WITH A SIMILAR NAME was on a “do not rent list”. I dismissed it and my friend stepped in to rent it instead (seeing as he would be driving it for me anyway) and he REFUSED to rent to anyone in my party because of some arbitrary rule he seemingly made up on the spot. When asked for proof of this obscene-sounding “rule” he asked us to leave. Egomaniacal and discriminatory establishment. Do not recommend.
I rented a uhaul van with blankets. Did NOT use blankets and package was closed and they still would not refund me the amount for blankets. This is a rip off because they put it right back into inventory. I will NOT use this location again.

Of all U-haul locations, this is the one with the worst customer service. They dont even acknowledge you when you walk in and they seem bothered when getting your information. I prefer to go farther and get better treatment for three same service.
My mother passed away and they let my great niece take over her storage unit without notification to her children.Then said if we want it we have to take her to small claims court! Sad, very sad.
If they charge you a deposit make sure you get prove, or else when you expect to get it back after you have returned equipment untouched, they will tell you we dont know what your talking about they trick you and they put the deposit towards the price of whatever you rented so that its not seen separate on the receipt.
For what they do and offer, they are tops. They have everything you need to rent as well as wiring for trailers not to mention supplies for moving. Friendly staff also.
They close 10mins early .My reservation was @645pm .the reservation was made @639pm. I asked them if it would be better to pick up in the morning, the lady said no we will he here till 7. You can pick it up tonight .I show up withing 3-4mins no later then 650pm & the store is closed .I told them its not 7pm yet and I need to pick up the truck, John said No because hes already closed & is going to start counting the money
They always have a great selection of trucks and trailers there and in stock. Easy access to the freeway and the main road

I strongly recommend you find another rental location and not deal with this unethical location. I declined their Safemove insurance of $14 and they still charged my credit card for it. I contacted Uhaul to get this resolved and they said the General Manager, Jose Ommedo, had to approve the refund. I told Uhaul it had been 3-days and he hadnt contacted me to resolve the issue. Finally, today he emailed, didnt call me, claiming he has video footage of me accepting Safemove coverage and that Im not entitled to this refund. I sent him proof that I declined coverage because they make you sign twice if you decline. This has been a big hassle and a waste of my time for $14 they wrongly charged me for and then lied about it.
Been using there service for quit a while always friendly and polite. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

This uhaul location was super helpful! I was attending my grandmothers funeral this past weekend and on my way back home my car overheated on the freeway. I had to pull off the freeway to let it cool but then it wouldnt start back up. I had to stay the night in Bakersfield and the cheapest way to get my car back to where I live, which is 3 hours from Bakersfield, was to get a uhaul and a car dolly to take my car home. The first thing I did in the morning was call uhaul places around my hotel to see who had a truck and car dolly available. I found this location and called to make a reservation. A lady named Joann Ferreira from the corporate office called me back and then told me there was no dolly available within 100 miles from my location in Bakersfield. I then got into an argument with Joann about how a lady from the call center promised me there was a car dolly available. Joann said the lady at the call center lied to me and she couldnt help me. My husband then got on the phone and talked to Joann about this horrible experience he is having and how horrible she is acting telling us she couldnt do anything to help us. Joann from the corporate office had the worst attitude and was VERY RUDE. Once my husband talked with her she then came to her senses to help us and then told us there was one available at the same EXACT location we already reserved a dolly. Once we got to this location, a gentleman named Sam helped us out. Sam was extremely helpful and very nice. He turned this whole experience around for us and he has better customer service skills than Joann who is the regional manager at the corporate office. This really just shows how much love for other people the actual employees have over the managers at the corporate office! I am so glad we got to meet with Sam and he was able to help us out! I would definitely recommend this location and having Sam help you out with anything you need. I could not thank Sam enough for all his help! Because of Sam, uhaul now has a happy customer.

Easy to rent but not so happy that after I paid off my $36 debt the next day I receive a email 3 days later stating I still owe them money and its been sent to collections now. But I have the receipt/ proof I paid off my debt
My everyday day travel of life that stays on remote cruse control discoverying open roads that lead you. Always in a direction coming or going but always knowen where you have been just always çall ahead thiose. Occassions your rental return is late
On September 2nd I rented a auto transport trailer. The guy that hooked it up was nice and all seemed well. So i driver from there to Jim Burke Ford on oak to load up the car and when i drive it onto the trailer it pops off and hits the back of my trucks tailgate. I call customer service all seems fine..I go back to return the trailer and the owner (what his name tag says at least) John Kovanen tells me its my fault the trailer was not hooked up right and to get out. So i leave, not wanting to get into a fight. I go home call the insurance and spend a bunch of time on the phone with a insurance rep for Repwest (u-hauls insurance) and he tells me this is the number one problem they have, and that not to worry things will be taken care of. Well fast forrward to today and i get a call from him saying that they have done a review and they dont feel any responsibly for the damages.So basically bad service, bad customer treatment and now my tailgate has a big dent in it and they wont do a thing.Im never gonna go back to a u-haul.
Horrible experience: made an appointment to have a part added to our car for our trailer. When I arrived at my scheduled appointment time the “manager” on duty told us that we would have to wait at least 2 hours for our car to be worked on. I left, because we were told it was going to be a 30 minute process. When my husband called and brought the situation to light, the manager was unavailable and then called my husband back to call me a liar and say I refused service and he never said it would be two hours. Basically calling us liars. Who pays this man to call customers and call them liars?!? Absolutely horrible experience. No wonder they have such a low rating
They are so slow and rude at this location. Had I have known I was going to be treated like I was an imposition, I would of rented a trailer out of town and just returned it at this location. Customer service is awful and yiu cant really complain because the main guy who works IS the one you complain too. Save yourself the aggrivating and frustration, take your business to another uhaul location.

I was in a hurry and i needed to rent a moving truck fast due to family situation i walked in i was expected a friendly service but very rude employee and careless i wanted someone else to attend me so i asked the manager and manager was on the phone then after he asked me too many non sense requirements and he made me very nervous till i got mad he was forcing me to use debit or credit card with funds of minimun $200 when i wanted to pay in cash no matter what then he was asking me to provide him a copy of the new tenancy contract by the landlord for him to rent me a truck i got even more nervous and furious then i said if i do that whats gonna happen next and on my way out the manager shouted at me saying that next time ask before you are going to do this then i said o well thats what we came for then the manager shouted at me saying you know what get out of here dont comeback anymore im not gonna rent you anything with that attitude you are not allow in this store anymore....i was very shocked by that supervisor with that horrible and nasty attitude and bad service throwing its customers out.....i went to another u-haul by columbus and i got a easy and very friendly reps and outstanding service too bad i forgot to give them a tip for friendly service

You might think reserving a trailer online would have you skipping the line, but dont be fooled! We waited in line for at least half an hour before being served.
Employees are not helpful at all especially the general manger(Jose Olmedo) very rude.
