My RAM 1500 engine went up and needed a New Engine and they for one located a replacement and Installed. I was so Grateful for the Manager MARK, LEE and AARON the Mechanic who installed. Took my 09 Elantra in start of this week as the clutch was going. I took it in after speaking with Mark, asked them to look into it and let me know. He told me what I needed (hours, process, timing) between the first phone call and when I went to drop the car off Monday morning.Later that day I called them to follow-up and they (Mark, cool guy, knows his stuff) confirmed it was the clutch. Told me an estimate in price, & time of job. All within reason from what I had researched of the area places, definitely comes out ahead a little in price too.And true to their word, a few days later my car was ready and the car is a roadster!I even met the owner, Ken. Nice guy, very personable.I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get service done to their car.And from the reviews, sure, no one is perfect and they may have made a mistake here or there. What is important to me though is their follow-up. The owner himself contacting those people mistakes were made with, and offering to contact them himself... THATS customer service you just dont find much anymore!So if you want a good mechnic, who will talk to you in everyday language about your cars trouble... I am so so pleased with the quality service that I experienced here at AAMCO on my Honda Pilot. Honda Heritage suggested that I get rid of my truck but I was referred to AAMCO and they made it ride like brand new. Absolutely amazed.

My experience with this AAMCO has been nothing short of amazing . Ive been having issues with my cvt transmission and bouncing around from shop to shop before I came to them and they blew me away with the amazing customer service and how quickly and effectively they took care of me. They took my car in and within a few hours they let me know what was wrong and the price. I ended up needing a transmission replacement which I knew I would and they managed to do it in 2 days. They kept me informed throughout the process and answered any questions I had. As a woman, shops tend to try and take advantage of you but not here. I was treated like family and never felt like they were taking advantage of me. I even had a power steering leak and they fixed it for me at no charge! I have taken my 21 year old car here a total of 4 times now for all the problems it has. Every experience has been a pleasant, efficient, and reasonably priced one. The mechanics are some of the most friendly and honest to have ever worked on my car. As well as this, the work was done properly and professionally. I HIGHLY recommend.

The team here was amazing! I typically hate getting my car worked on because it takes so long. I usually stick to ONE mechanic I know because I know service, professionalism, and transparency can be hard to come by as a woman in a car shop! These guys were all of those things and some. They were able to give me ballpark estimates on timing for all the different tests (just about an hour for each one), explain everything going on with it, and be super transparent about the progress throughout. I stayed for the first hour, went home for a couple hours, came back and everything was done! I had an issue with my AC (mid-summer too 🥵), all the tests came back with no issue they could pinpoint, so they put dye in it to run while I drive and reveal the issue when I return. They noticed there was a leak in my valves so they replaced it as a courtesy. Turns out, that fixed it all! I’m still going in to check on the dye next week, but my car is back to being nice and cool 😌. They were super personable and friendly too. I’ll definitely be back for any future work on my car! Strong recommend!

I was so lucky to find these people!My friend was having a huge problem. Oil was seriously leaking out of his van as fast as he could pour it in. The van means everything to him. He needs it to exist, make his medical appointments and more.When I called and explained the situation to Mark, fearing the worst, Mark suggested that there might be a simpler, cheaper issue. Mark took the time to troubleshoot the issue thoroughly. He discovered a simple issue, addressed it, and we were able to pick up the van that same day! The cost was quite reasonable, thank goodness. Mark and his staff were terrific and he kept in touch with me throughout this nail-biter time! What a relief!I will happily bring the van back as well as my vehicle. And I will be recommending this shop to my friends for sure.Marks philosophy appears to be honesty and fairness. Plus the people at this shop have heart, something I value highly.

When in for service and there lifts are broke just no inviting at all they act like me coming in for service was a hassle to them... Asking me was my car inspected ...what?

They mustve left my door unlocked the whole weekend. Looked like someone had been living in my car. They left trash and dirty nasty mask in there and stole my good ones. When I mentioned it to management they wanted to argue. I had my car towed away immediately

I purchased a 2002 Cadillac DeVille. I really loved this car. It was running great, then I noticed a code that kept repeating itself. I took the car into AAMCO for repair because the code said it was a transmission problem. AAMCO diagnosed the vehicle and found that the transmission needed to be taken apart for repair. It was going to cost me a lot of money for the repair. Instead of trying to take me for a ride, AAMCO was honest about the problem. I declined the repair and AAMCO gave me my vehicle back without charge. I really appreciate their honesty and would highly recommend them and their service to anyone looking for transmission repair.

They quickly diagnosed the problem, and I brought the car back this morning to have some of the recommended work done. The price was very reasonable, and they did a great job educating me on the issues.I picked it up this afternoon and it drives better than it has in years. Marcus went above and beyond and even repaired some issues to the body of my car that I had been ignoring for years. This was with no prompting and at no extra charge. I broke down December 9th 2020. The 2014 Ford Escape Ive only had for two years has been known to have a bad transmission. Unfortunately, Ford would not help me although thousands were recalled. My mom gave me the number to AAMCO in Parkville, MD, as that was the closest one to where I broke down. I am so thankful. The first person I spoke to was Mark Sarem. He was so nice and informative. He said they would tow my car and help me figure out the best and most reasonable fix. The next day I spoke to Dylan who was also wonderful. Mark you are the greatest. I took my car to Land Rover Hunt Valley because the engine light kept coming on back in January. The dealer reset the engine light and it came on several times since. I was told by Kyle and Jim at Land Rover I would need a new transmission costing $11,000.00. I wrote Land Rover headquarter and they wanted to give me $4500.00 towards a new transmission. I took my car to AAMCO on Harford Road in Baltimore where the owner/technician Mark did a free transmission diagnostic .Found out I did not need a transmission at all. The code Land Rover was not familiar with was I needed a new catalytic converter. I took the car back to the dealer last week and guess what they replaced the catalytic converter which was under the 8 year warranty just as Mark at AAMCO said at no cost. People do your research and go to the experts like AAMCO. I will have this further investigated. The dealer never apologized in their error still today. They wanted me to buy a new $60,000.00 car. I will take this to social media and make people aware.Great job AAMCO. Please keep up the good honest work you all do. We need more honest trusty worthy businesses like you.Happy customer!

Mr. Wood and his team treated me with great respect and listened to me as I explained to them what was going on with my vehicle. I want to thank Mark for being a really huge help today! I went to Precision Tune a few days ago for a diagnostic on my transmission and they wanted to charge $1200 for them to go down the street to Ford and get it fixed..RIDICULOUS RIGHT?!!!! So I came to AAMCO for someone to look at the diagnostic report and Mark saw that i should have an extended warranty on my transmission (something that Precision didn’t tell me). He insisted that i go to Ford so i wouldn’t have to come out of pocket for anything. Mark saved my pockets, thank you!!!!

Mark took great care of me not only was he able to repair my transfer case for 1/2 of what the dealer was he found that their diagnosis of problems was incorrect ...fixed everything at a great price . I cant thank Mark and Dylan enough for their help with my car! Really! I cant thank them enough for being so kind, courteous, truthful, and trustworthy with my car issue. My engine was knocking when I brought it in to the shop, an issue that easily could have had my car in the shop for days/weeks and cost hundreds of dollars to fix. I had explained that Id got the car (Nissan Maxima 03) this July and had already sunk a lot of money into tuning up the car at that point (new starter, alternator, brakes, front & back engine mount, lower ball joint and all of the fluids) and the work my Dad and I already did with replacing spark plugs and coil on the misfiring cylinder 5 to try to fix the issue. Mark decided to have the coils switched to check if the new coil was bad (if the misfire moved to the new cylinder then it would be deemed a bad coil) but it turned out that the coil was fine, it just was not properly installed which was that cause of the misfire and engine knocking. When Dylan secured the coil in correctly and started the car and no more knocking! They saved me so much money on additional/unnecessary repairs other shops may have gone along with to make a easy (dishonest) buck or by having to get a new car altogether. I know I can trust them for any work I may need in the future. I highly recommend this shop!

First of all, I am not related to anyone in this facility. Briefly, my story goes as follows. After having a very disappointing experience the week prior, at a local Ford dealer, I found myself at the mercy of my extended warranty company to recommend a transmission shop. They said they work hand in hand with AAMCO. They had my vehicle, 2008 F150 towed to Harford Rd facility. I could not have been more satisfied with the way I was treated. From beginning to end, they were so professional and eased my mind about fixing my truck. They stuck to the estimate and kept me informed about everything until I picked it up. They did an outstanding job and I would highly recommend them in the future. Thank you so much for everything!

Wonderful shop! Everyone was friendly, but more importantly my car was in and out. I was able to bring it in without a wait or appointment! Very satisfied with the work they did and would reccomend them for any kind of work your car needs. They all deserve raises!

Not to happy with this place. I took my truck in and they said it needs a new Transmission. So they got one and rebuilt it. I went and got my truck and took it home. That same day it was having problems again and had it towed back in to be looked at. They were looking at it on Monday and I called to find out about it and they said that they would get back to me later on that day. I never got a call and the next day I called around 12 PM and asked if they found out anything yet. They said the guy is looking at it now. So what were they doing the day before if someone had to look at it the next day. I still havent heard anything back about yet. I would not take my vehicle there because I dont think they know what they are doing. Well they came and got my truck that weekend and fixed the problem and now its running better. After awhile it started to run bad again and I took it back and first they said they couldn’t find anything wrong until I went there they had to rebuild the transmission again and had it for almost a week so I had to get a rental which cost me money again so I would not take my vehicle there unless you like spending money and never having your vehicle running right forever and still paying to have something fixed. All I can say is don’t ever take it here. Find a different place and save your money

I absolutely love this location. The manager Mark Sarem is the absolute best!!!! His level of care and professionalism is phenomenal. The entire staff is nothing but kind, friendly and professional. I have been bringing my vehicles here for more than 10 years. I wont go anywhere else. I trust those guys and gal to tell me the truth and not rip me off. It has been way too long, but I promised to post this and I finally found a way to do it. So almost 6 months ago, maybe even longer. I went to this AAMCO after a fail on my emissions test. The service was wonderful..and HONEST. After the initial look through, I knew this would be an expensive fix...something about a catalytic converter. The gentleman called me back with good news and bad news. The bad news was it was a catalytic converter and something else that would cost me about $2000.00. But he did some research and discovered good news. There was a recall on that exact part and I can have my work done for free and the dealership...The same dealership that hassled me over just looking at the problem. This place saved me $2000. I can truly say this business is honest. I havent had any work done yet here but this says a LOT..Check Engine light one....Go to AAMCO on Harford Road. They truly live the scripture that is posted above the door..Go check it out to see for yourself!

I took my car to be diagnosed because I was experiencing transmission problems. I was told it was my transmission and it rebuild it if the problem was minor it would be 2367 and if it was major add about another thousand costing about 3300 the cost of a new transmission right. This is the kicker if they went in and seen it was 3300 and I didnt want them to do it it would still cost 650. I decided to take my care to BNB transmission the best thing I could have done after they took it apart all I needed was a wire now AAMCO wanted to charge 650 if I didnt want them to fix my car after they took it apart now BNB took it apart and fixed it the cost 245 because it wasnt major it was minor. Trust me go to BNB Transmission they are honest mechanics.

I came in yesterday for an emergency and was extremely distraught and frustrated before they helped me. Not only did they take the time to explain the issue, they did everything they could to help me and get me safely back on the road. They were honest, reasonable, and so friendly! I brought my car in to Aamco to fix my Catalytic Converter. They diagnose the problem. Explain the process to me of repairs, price and labor. They explain it in a way that I can understand very clearly. Not only was my Catalytic Converter fixed they also provided friendly, kind and professional help to guide me through the process.

Purchased a used vehicle recently and had trouble with the transmission. They took the time out of their busy schedule to help check a code on my car and Carrie was concerned that the lights came back on and told me after I changed my battery to come back and she would clear the codes again, I just think that offering to help someone that has not even spent $1 there yet and really wanted to help......thank you.....and i will be back to get the work on my 4 runner done

I sat for maybe 2hrs and change.However ; the guy was customer service was good.He was very informative.I thank him for giving me the in and out about a transmission.I was told that roughly I have to spend 2300-3400 for new Transmission...Uggh the struggle.Listening to that can be discouraging after putting an arm and a leg into my car.All I keep hearing is you might well purchase a new car.

These guys are great! I usually have good experiences with AAMCOs in general, and this shop is no exception! Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and honest. There is nothing worse than not knowing a lot about cars/transmissions/car care and feeling like your shop is trying to rip you off or sell you something you dont need, and I am confident when I go into Kens shop that this is never the case. I went into AAMCO for a check engine light that Carrie diagnosed. After the diagnoses they proceeded to tell me what had to be done and how they would do it. There were no surprises and what they priced me at is what I paid. They were very understanding of my current money situation and did everything in their power to help me work out the situation. Mark was amazingly smart and as a problem erupted he instantly called and kept me up to date. My car is running fantastically now and I dont have to worry about my transmission falling out anymore. The second vehicle needed and O2 sensor and brake work, a thermostat etc. That work was done at about half to one third of the cost of several vendors estimates in the Parkville area. Ask for Mark, carefully explain your issues and Im confident you will have a good experience.

I went to the shop because I had noise coming from my front end. I have had a diagnostic it said my clutch torque converter was stuck and I thought that might be the problem. Because my mechanic does not work on transmissions I figured I would take it to the experts. I waited for about an hour and a half and finally hey gentlemen comes out with a detailed report on the noise that I hear. He explained to me that might work converter clutch is the problem any give me a quote about 2700 dollars. That was way too much for me to put into the car. But I started doing some research on the noise and found out that it might be my wheel hub making that noise. I took it to my mechanic and he confirmed that it was indeed the wheel hub. $120 in an hour and a half the noise was fixed by my guy with his shop in an alley. Im sure if I had paid AAMCO $2700 they would have fixed the wheel hub problem too. But it was nowhere in their estimate. Can help but think that they were taking me for a ride.

They took the time to diagnose the real problem and made sure I got what I was paying for. The repairs took half the time I thought they were going to take and they just have great customer service. Would definitely return anytime I need work done.

Mark and Dylan are awesome. They were knowledgeable and efficient thereby making the experience of having the transmission fluid flush on my Acura MDX an effortless and painless process. They explained and accomplished the job in the promised two hour timeframe at the estimate price and I am extremely happy with the job that was done. I had a horrible experience with this AAMCO. I had a problem with my car that I assumed was a clutch issue. Took it here to have a mechanic look at it. They informed me that the entire transmission needs to be rebuilt and wanted 3k for it!I wasnt convinced. Took it to another mechanic who confirmed that it was in fact a clutch issue and that the transmission was perfectly fine.When I told the new mechanic I had taken the car to AAMCO, he said Let me guess, they told you the transmission is bad and charged you 3.5K to change it!!To be fair though, they were very courteous and friendly. But I would never take my car back there - I lost all trust in them. I think whenever they dont know what the problem is, they rebuild a transmission and charge you 3k for it.

Friday night 4/24/2015 after work my 1998 Ford Crown Victorias engine began loudly banging,sputtering with loss of power. My first thought was that of panic and a costly major repair with a feeling hopeless because of the many disappointing previous experiences with local repair shops on small vehicle repairs. I took my car to Pep Boys early Saturday morning to find out what the problem could be. Pep Boys explained I had a blown spark plug and a cylinder was miss firing. In addition they told me they didnt have the proper tools to remove the plug. So I called AAMCO and spoke with Mr. Lee who assured me they had the proper tools to complete the job. Early Monday morning I arrived at AAMCO, spoke to Mr. Mark about my dilemma and I left the car. In an hour I got a call to pick up my car. It was fixed and they did not charge me anything. AAMCO professionals corrected the problem. Now my car is running wonderful once again.They were honest, courteous and expedient with repairing my vehicle. 1st review response personal property we did transmission work on customers pt cruiser. we do not have a theft problem at our shop and we clearly have signs up at our front counter that states do not leave any valuables in vehicle and that we are not responsible for theft or damage. the customer came in to pay and while here he met the mechanic who has several tattoos and clearly pre judged him, he then walked out to his car and a few minutes later came back and claimed he had a RARE ANTIQUE SWORD that was left in his car that was missing . Im a little surprised that someone would leave such a valuable item in there car and also surprised that he didnt have gold bricks missing as well.

Love this place! Took my car there 3 years ago for a new transmission. Last week I experienced some jerking that made me think more transmission problems were coming. Took the car back in for a check and was thrilled when I was told it wasnt the transmission, but the MAF sensor. Mark got the part the same day and it was installed while I waited! I asked them to check the breaks and the mechanic checked my car thoroughly and they even took the time to show me what my issues were and explained them so a non-mechanic could understand! He even told me what I should prioritize if I couldnt afford all the services at once. I brought my car back in the next morning for the additional work and got it back that afternoon! Mark was very proactive and with a small deposit was able to order the parts ahead of time so that I could get my car back quickly. Mark is friendly and knowledgeable and they went the extra mile to ensure I was please with my service! I would recommend this Aamco location in a heartbeat!

I WAS RIPPED OFF!!! A friend saw there commercial and referred me to them. I just went to these mechanic to fix a check engine light, simple right? Wrong! They gave me the run around stating, we just need to smoke it. Well after coming to shop for not 1, not 2, but 3x and each and every time the check engine light came back!They NEVER bothered to call me each time, I had to call the shop to find out what was going on with my vehicle! One of the staff even told me, if $3,000 transmission comes in I going push your car aside regardless if you were here first.They charged me close to $500 and did nothing! So I basically gave them my hard earned money for nothing! The car finally kick over, what ever they did they Some first experience, Im going to AAMCO coraround porate!!!

So my truck had been here since at least the beginning of December and is still in there for transmission and another reason, Im constantly told that I will be informed on the progress and price, no one calls back and has ever called back since Ive had my truck there, so I have to call them when they are supposed to call me, dont wanna post a bad review but I will say they have a lot of room for improvement ...

THE WORST PLACE!!! A BUNCH OF CROOKS! Took my car for a new transmission right before Christmas 2014. I was at first happy they thought they could have it back in time for the holidays. From the minute I picked up my truck it sounded like a rattling diesel truck and pulled when at a stop. We took it back right after the New Year and they said it was a computer module that was in the transmission that needed to be programmed and they suggested I go to my dealer. My dealer said we now have metal in the engine and they said we needed a new one. Once they finished replacing the engine, the dealer said the wrong sized torque converter was installed by Ken. Our dealer said the truck was was not safe to drive and was towed back to AAMCO. (AAMCO said we should have driven it there). AAMCO kept blaming the dealer, the dealer said it was AAMCO and we were in the middle. AAMCO doesnt know how to fix this pulling and the truck continues to pull. If you put it in neutral at a stop, the truck will die. We tried to call and explain,and Ken became verbally abusive, saying we hurt his feelings because we were unhappy! When we went to pick up the truck again, instead of leaving it in the safety of his side lot, it was parked on Harford Road on top of a snow bank!! Then when we got in there was oil and grease all over the floormats, cigarette butts on the floor and just in dirty condition - which Ken later admitted he did personally. So with the pulling still not fixed, we noticed that the truck started to leak fluids. Took it to a mechanic to see what the leaking was and it was.....transmission fluid!!!! Took it back to AAMCO they said they would fix....picked it up 2 days later, guess what... still leaking fluid. We still have no idea why its leaking we also found out at this point, that AAMCO rather than pulling out the torque convertor instead drilled 2 BIG holes into the transmission case so AAMCO could pry it out leaving it exposed to dirt and debris!!!! Paid $3100 for new Transmission, Paid $1040 for rental cars, still need a decent transmission - car is not safe to drive as it constantly pulls. Consulting a lawyer. A horrible, horrible bunch of mechanics. AVOID!!!!

Great people and service. The only place I go to

Aamco on Herford Rd has THE BEST customer service and even more importantly a TRUST level beyond any other service station around. Twice, they had opportunities to rightfully charge for diagnostics and services. On both occasions, they didnt charge because the car had to go to a dealership even after putting in man hours to find the issue. This time a very simple fix for them resulted in a very minimal charge. Other service stations demanded at least $107.00 for a check engine light diagnoses. Some charged a flat fee and others worked the charge into the needed labor fees. Aamco has a no engine light diagnostic fee policy. Aamco saved me from Firestone at least $107.00, + $40 for parts, and at least $75 for labor.Aamco at 7400 Harford Road will have all my future vehicle business.Thank you

In a culture of business mediocrity and cheating to get ahead, I certainly found this Aamco location honest and forthright. It is refreshing and they are worthy of my accolades. I would highly recommended this Aamco location.

Was told to take car there for repairs they did good work, they were right they have old fashion service they were fair, honest. and take care of customer other companys should follow great job guys.
