I have used them since 1993 shortly after buying my current house.. Excellent job of maintaining my systems and replacing it when necessary. I got roughly 18 years out of my previous Rheem unit and its longevity I believe was related to the quality of the maintenance service that I received on it from Clean Air. When it was time for a new HVAC central air and natural gas furnace, they were best on price and brand from my three different installer quotes. Clean Air gave me three quotes from three very reputable brands. I choose Carrier and am very pleased with it thus far. Nice quiet central air conditioner system. Answered all my questions to help in my brand choice and registered my unit for me. They include a no charge check of your heating and cooling system in the coming year to further assure you that things are working correctly.In my opinion, a quality local business.Give them an opportunity; I think you will be highly satisfied.
Some time after you installed a mini-split heat pump a leak developed in the drain line and messed up the ceiling below. Your team was very responsive in fixing the leak and then repairing the ceiling. We really appreciate your follow through.
We just completed a renovation/addition which included a new HVAC system installed, adding central AC for the first time to the home. Marrying old and new is never easy, but Clean Air did a great job for us. We have, and will continue, to recommend Clean Air to others.
Wally was great, they do things right and thats what i was looking for. Very clean work and they also improved my airflow so the house cools more evenly along with putting in a top of the line smart thermostat which was a nice touch. Its night and day how well my new system works vs my previous setup. I will only be using clean air.

We had been without air overnight and gave Clean AIR a call having not used them before. They fit us in within a couple hours. Mascar called to give us 30 min notice and showed up timely. He diagnosed problem within 10 minutes and had fixed and freon tested within 30 min. Great customer service from entire team. Mascar seemed very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all my questions. Would definitely call again.
Marvin has been the person assigned to do our inspections often over the last few years. He is thorough and friendly and we couldn’t be happier.We’ve had a Clean Air policy on every home we’ve lived in since at least 2005 and we couldn’t be happier and would recommend them so highly!It’s important to note that we really think the annual service policy is worth it with this company and they really do come out very fast if your heating or AC isn’t working. They are amazing!
Marvin has been coming to my house over the past few years. I specifically ask for him to do any service. He just finished the spring checkup for my three systems. As always he did a wonderful job. Hes knowledgeable, efficient and explains any and all observations. I have been a Clean Air customer since 1983 (36 years) and have had a succession of good technicians coming to my houses. Marvin is one of the best. High praise for him and I hope he keeps servicing my heating/cooling units. Kudos!
Our Bi-Annual Service was very thorough. The Tech, Marvin, was on time and very polite. He checked both systems and rinsed both condensers. I think that the time it took to do the Service Maintenance was reasonable. We have had our AC/Heating Units from Clean Air for many years and have always been satisfied with their performance.
Darren (and all of the techs at Clean Air) are terrific!! We get twice a year maintenance done on our system, so we know Darren well. He is wonderful and takes time to explain any issues. We are always in good hands with Clean Air. In addition to reliable, timely and courteous in-person service, Clean Air is up-to-date electronically, sending e-receipts, and even emails with a photo of the technician whos on the way to our home so we know whom to expect).
I contacted Clean Air when my furnace was in need of replacement....Clean Air sent an estimator out promptly and gave me a fair price for the job. The entire team was courteous and knowledgeable and my furnace was replaced within the timeline promised, and has been working great and saving us $$ in heating costs! I would highly recommend the folks at Clean Air for your heating and air conditioning needs!
The technician phoned prior to arriving and came close to that time. Very pleasant and professional upon arrival. Checked the unit out and made sure everything was working properly. Finished and was gone in half hour. Great service.
Been with them since the late 70s. They practically always do a great job. The are at your service and will do whatever it takes to get the job done and make you pleased. I finally decided to write a review for them after today. They came out quickly and painlessly to fix our broken upstairs air unit on a Sunday. A gentleman named Wascar Santos came out and took care of the problem. Weve dealt with him before and he was the same as last time, just fantastic and professional. Highly recommend.
Twice in the past two weeks I have used Clear Air as a new customer.First, I had Clean Air replace an entire system for a rental house. Clean Air gave an estimate which was fair and arrived to install the unit when they said they were coming. This was first class service in every way.Second -- today -- Clean Air came out to repair my personal residences HVAC. The professional repairman, Mr. John Lukenich, was spectacular. On a 95 degree day - hotter than you can imagine inside my house -- Mr. John worked with a smile on his face, kept me informed as to what he found and what he was repairing, and completed the work. Would like to share our experience with Clean Air. First off, they always remind s when we have an inspection coming up. Even though we pay for it, the last company was happy to skip it if we didnt remember, Clean Air has never done this. They have performed repairs on our system and never overcharged us. I used to work with mechanical and electrical repair and would be pretty sure if something wasnt right. Their people have always been professional, punctual and friendly. We would not use anyone else and have been happy for years.
Recently, our A/C unit quit working in the house I rent in Canton. It took Clean Air 12 days and 5 visits to the home (days / nights / weekends) to realize that the unit just needed to be cleaned. They continued to blow off appointments, show up late, text or talk on the phone throughout the appointment and then would give vague reasons why they couldnt repair the problem that day. They also would tell us that they dont give appointment times, that they could show up at any time of the day. Thats super helpful ONLY IF you work from home. Apparently, our property manager had a warranty for our A/C unit through this company. I suspect thats why they drew out the process, trying to get more money from them. I dont know how expensive it ended up being, but I do know it caused a lot of frustration and heat stroke for the residents of the house. Needless to say, I tell everyone I know to not use this company ever again. Stay far away.

Clean Air installed new ducts in my 150 year-old house and did a super job. What a difference it has made in the air quality, and my utilities bill has been lower too. The installers did a great job installing the new system. I was afraid I would have a lot of patching to do and there was very little. They managed to find ways to install two new intakes using in areas that I seldom or never used.This project was money well spent.
The tech, Darren, was very thorough and made sure everything was working well before he left. Darren was also very friendly and careful as he worked on the various units in our house.

I have been using Clean Air for years for HVAC service, and recently purchased a geothermal system from them. Their service team shows up on time, is friendly, and took good care of my system. Their geothermal pricing was better than similar quotes I had gotten, and they took the time to walk me through each line of the quote to make sure I understood everything. Highly recommend.

Called for a/c service, I was made aware my service call fee was $95, however the tech charged me $187. The tech made me aware that I needed a new compressor that cost about $2300, which would last less than 2years. But I was offered a new system for $5,000. Within 10 minutes of the tech leaving the sales person called and stated the new unit is $5,000 but he does not have the actual price on the compressor. As of today, I still have not received the price if the compressor.I did my own research and ordered new unit (the exact same unit I have) for $1,200 and labor was $900. However when the tech came out, he stated I only need a pound cooler and my unit was fine.For the last month, my unit ihas been operating fine. So I had BGE service my unit today and they did not find anything wrong.Learned lesson STAY AWAY
These people are rude. They installed my system 3 years ago, but I don’t have a service contract with them. I’ve called them twice in 2 days (Sat/Sun) trying to schedule service for my non-functioning system, possibly still covered under warranty. They act like I am wasting their time and disturbing them. I’ll take my money somewhere else.

2017 UPDATE: I am out $500+ due to Clean Airs poorly trained staff. I sadly learned that if a Carrier system is registered online within 90 days of install, you get a 10 year warranty, otherwise, without registration its only 5 years. Speaking with Carrier, many HVAC installers do the registration for their customers, otherwise your only way of knowing about the requirement to register is by reading the fine print on page 25 within a technical manual that comes with your system. Well, at 8 years after install, my blower fan burns out. Clean Air DID NOT register my warranty, and they absolutely did not bring the registration to my attention at the time of install (I am not a person who would forget to do this). Upon calling Clean Air for repair, they took zero accountability for the fact that my warranty expired early.I am doubling down on my impression that they are just a big company out to churn business fast and loose...they dont take any care in what they do. 2 stars reduced to 1 star.ORIGINAL 2009 REVIEW: I have a rowhouse in Baltimore and got a new A/C installed by Clean Air. I chose Clean Air after getting three price quotes. Two positive things about them were they offered a very good price on the installation of a Carrier system and the salesman was very knowledgeable about the current rebates and tax credits.However, the tech who did the install seemed to be very low-level and I do not feel he was qualified for the job. A few specific complaints: there were major, obvious leaks in my pre-existing duct system that he did not tell me about, he didnt use the proper procedure (subcooling) to check/adjust the refrigerant charge, he had to call a supervisor to ask about some simple thermostat connections, he did not level the outdoor compressor unit, and he set the air handler fan speed incorrectly because he didnt know tonnage of the unit he was installing.I understand Clean Air is a pretty big company, so Im sure they have some good techs and bad ones. However, the one they sent to my house was a joke. I will never use them again.
