Not only is this store full of fantastic products but it has great employees too. They are always on the floor willing to help at any time. With covid it was a struggle to find the right foundation but with the return policy and help from the employees I was able to find the perfect match. Also a great place to get your hair done as the stylists do an awesome job.

Duh- MAKEUP!! I am doing makeup for a wedding and had to pick up some items for the job!

Every time I have been to this location, the store is always clean and organized. The staff is always nice as well. That being said, I want to talk specifically about an incident that happened on my visit today.Basically, as a second register was about to open, a girl and her mom cut in front of someone who was clearly waiting. The associate decided to help the person who had been waiting for some time and the line cutter had the audacity to be rude to the associate. But the associate was correct in helping the person who had been waiting much longer than the girl and her mother who had just walked in. I commend that associate specifically because she did the right thing, but was called rude by a person who was rude themselves.Anyways, you guys should definitely go to this location! 10 out of 10 recommend!

I have gotten my eye brows waxed and tinted by Nathan twice now, and he has done an amazing job each time. He is very detail oriented and precise. He is also extremely friendly and personable. I would suggest the ulta brow bar if you are looking for a wax and tint!

Went for my hair because on the site it had “silk wrap and curl” as an option so I assumed someone knew how to do that. I was mistaken. I also got a trim and about 3 inches were cut off only from the hair in the back, nothing was trimmed from the front. I was of course polite to the staff but I feel as a woman with textured hair, I need to let other women with textured hair know the truth. I cried when I got home. I had been growing my hair out for years. Very dissatisfied. Also once my hair finally was “wrapped”, she didn’t even know to put me back under the dryer. I don’t think it’s fair or right to post services you have NO CLUE how to do. This is people’s hair.

Great place but I really think they NEED TO LOWER the prices!! Its getting a bit out of control!! I use to enjoy going to buy a few things to Try out but now I can only afford 1 item and possibly NOT the one I had hoped I could due to not being able to afford to Try it! I thought the idea was for them to be able to offer us New Improved items at a great price so one could try some New things to find something that fits them perfectly that they would have NOT normally tried or even known about PRICES NEED TO BE LOWERED!♥️

Can ulta pleaaaasssse hire somebody else for the brow bar. I KNOW Im not the only one who had an awful experience with Nathan who is currently the only brow bar employee. My brows were beautiful (thanks to Sabrina and amber) and then I had no choice but to see Nathan and he completely destroyed them. I had to let them grow back for over a year. And for quite some time he has been the only one working in the brow bar. I know for a fact Im not the only one who has avoided getting my brows done there because of him. I understand needing an employee to staff that area, but you guys are losing business because of him. Please hire somebody, or train somebody... SOMETHING. Because I miss having nice brows :(

First let me start by saying how incredibly picky I am with my eyebrows, but👏 let 👏me 👏tell 👏you, NATHAN KINGSBURY is AMAZING at what he does! My eyebrows are on point! On fleek! And I feel like a queen. I feel like in todays generation your eyebrows are everything, and when they are off you are off. So thank you soo soo much to Nathan, I will keep comming back.

Why does this company feel its ok to deny a return if a customer refuses to give out their personal information? I dont go into a store with the intent of returning a product, at all. But if I need, I should be able to and not be forced to share personal information beyond whats on a receipt.

I swear this place has a makeup brand for every occasion!They have Maybelline for when you want to constantly sing maybe its Maybelline over and over to yourself while you find a foundation that actually matches your skin tone for once so you dont look like youve been sticking just your head in a tanning bed.They have NYX for when youre living your metropolitan/artsy/good public transportation fantasy.They have Morphe so you can live a bunch of celebrity and influencer fantasies.They have Elf so you can live your ... Fantasy... fantasy.And they have Makeup Revolution for when youre ready to eat the rich.I come here for all my make-up needs and you should, too.

Pretty nice, pretty beauty, but I wouldnt say it was Ultra beautiful, I mean I wasnt blinded by the beauty but I was struck by it.4 stars because they didnt have any palettes on the shelves.

Employees are almost always vet knowledgeable and helpful. They never make you feel embarrassed for asking any questions. They will explain products, as well as brand competitors. Very good return policy. Just an incredible store.

Great bargains on great products. The have all of the top brands. My daughters could spend all day just browsing. A favorite spot for girls day out. Really appreciate the bargains. Perfect place for stocking stuffers. The staff is super helpful but never intrusive. Hands down best place in Bangor for cosmetics, nails, and hair care products.

I got to visit this store for the first time, PLUS get my brows done. A bonus, because the girl who did them (I forgot your name I’m sorry) was so professional but just enough of a friendly personality to make you feel comfortable! The staff told me about deals they were having, showed me where I could find items. The store was neat and clean, tester items were regularly sanitized and you could tell (unlike other beauty retailers). This might be my favorite go to from now on.

Horrible experience, eyebrows are super uneven, my eyebrows are naturally thick and are now thinner than a strand of string.

Incredibly helpful staff. They are always available to give advice, demonstrate how to apply a new makeup or leave you alone when you just want to shop. They were especially helpful to my 82 year old mom and 72 year old aunt when they wanted help picking out a new foundation.

The ladies there were extremely nice and helpful. I was able to be properly color matched and everyone was super friendly. I enjoyed going here and will continue to return.

This location and staff are AMAZING. I have been going weekly since 2012 and have never been disappointed. The fact that Amy, Jess and several others are still there years later is wonderful. They have gotten to know my skin and hair over the years and know exactly what I need. You can tell they truly love what they do!

They have it all. A little pricey depending on your budget. It can be a bit hard to find things if your not familiar with the stores but the associates who work there are always wonderfully helpful and well educated in all things beauty!

Its a meh Ulta. Its bigger than Bangors tiny Sephora but not very good. The staff are not very helpful or friendly and Ive never seen anyone at the salon. Ulta has a bad habit of badgering their customers for personal details which they do at this store but not in a nice way. I have stopped going and buy my makeup direct from the manufacturers website as this way I get free samples (something never even offered at Ulta). Realistically its not worth the gas to travel to this store as retailers need to offer something special to customers to convince them to visit the old brick and mortar stores when so much is offered online there is no excuse for lackluster customer service. Do a better job Ulta.

I just visited this store and I am extremely satisfied with the experience. The women I spoke with were very friendly and respectful, and they were able to help me in making my product selections. I will definitely return!

I am very disappointed with my experience yesterday, I walked in to ulta with a general idea of what I needed. I am a cosmetologist, I have been doing makeup for years (professionally and non) something I always have issues with is trying new products on my own face, I’ve been using the same stuff for years I never stray from the norm. I have a toddler on my hip, I asked a sales associate to help me when She was done with her client (who mind you, was looking for FACE MOISTURIZER and she had brought him to the Mac setting powder section) whatever, so I waited, and waited, and waited with a fussy toddler on my hip, no one else tried to help me, no one asked if I was looking for anything in this time I actually helped a few olderly women find what they were looking for because I spend a lot of time at Ulta. Finally the sales associate approached me and asked what I was looking for, the first thing I noticed is that she desperately needed a makeup lesson, nothing was blended, wearing way too much high light, I really did not want her opinion on anything but I had been waiting so long I might as well see what she had to say. I told her I needed a subtle/rose toned matte blush. Now at this point the first question they usually would ask me is ‘what is your price point’ nope, not this one she brought me right to the Mac section to a shimmery baby pink blush, I told her it wasn’t what I was looking for and she brought me to the Nars section, now I love the Nars orgasm blush but it was not what I was looking for. So I told her I was hoping on some opinion of the drugstore blushes (because I know there are some good ones but have never personally used them before) and she said ‘let me go find someone else she knows more about blush’ disappeared to the end of the store and then started helping someone else. As I stood there in the Nars section for 10 more minutes holding a toddler mind you, no one came to help me and I ended up finding one myself and leaving. I have never had an issue like this at Ulta, but I don’t think I will be going back due to the lack of customer service.

I made eye contact with FOUR sales associates while I was looking at hair color and none of them even bothered to greet me, let alone ask if I needed any help. Which i did. They all ended up standing at the end of the aisle I was in having a conversation together while I stood there staring at the same two products for ten minutes trying to figure out what the hell I was looking at

Good selection of anyting beauty related. I love the fact that anything you could possibly need in this area is all in one store and you can be certain youre getting a good, genuine product.

Big and clean facility. The staff were friendly and asked if my friends and I needed help, but they did not bug us unnecessarily. Some things were pricy, while others were reasonable sales. I will definitely go back again.

Everybody that works there is nice they greet you when you walk through the door to always willing to point out sales theyre always willing to sign you up to receive discounts. They know the ins and outs of makeup and the girls theyre always look nice and theyre very professional.

This is by far the most under qualified hair dressers I have ever had, a simple blow dry turned out to be 4 hours. I left with my hair worse than when I went in. The manager of the salon is very rude, and 100% not qualified to manage or do hair. I highly do not reccomend going there for any service if they cant even get a blow dry right.

Its amazing the different levels of customer service across the country at ULTA Stores. Some stores the staff are eager to serve other stores give the attitude of not caring. This store is one of the not caring in my opinion. When walking up to the door there is a help wanted sign advertising serveral positions - maybe that should have clued me in. Regardless, I walked in and immediately went to the brow bar to see if I could get my brows done. I didnt have an appointment (which isnt unusual for me because of constantly being on the road), I knew there was a chance of not getting in, but what I didnt expect was the response from the employee that came up to me after several minutes of waiting at the deserted Brow Bar. She asked if she could help me, I told her I was hoping to get my brows done, her response was I believe we are booked for the day but we could get you in tomorrow. My response to her was, that wont work for me as Im not from around here. The employee made no effort whatsoever to check and confirm that they indeed did not have time to fit me in. She was satisified with the I believe. While in the store, at no time was there a client having their brows done, instead the employee who had spoken with me and another employee were socializing amongst themselves. There would have been plenty of time to do my brows. Maybe her time that was booked with was for her to socialize with other staff for the day. Regardless, customer training is needed - if she knew for fact the day was booked she should have responded accordingly, not using the term I believe. She is there to make the company money, not socialize with fellow employees. Her attitude and actions stated to me no interest in serving the customer and that type of attitude leads to a failed business.

Has great sales, however wheb i go into buy the items that i need i feel like im being judged by the staff they act snobby, and they never ask u for help nor do they say thank u for shopping at ulta. it is intimidating if u dont feel pretty.

Have always had alright experiences at this store, but today I was told it was an inconvenience to apply my rewards points after the cashier already applied a GC. Worst customer service Ive ever received. Employees never really eager to help, probably will never visit this location again, and will drive the extra few feet to Sephora.

I love love love that we have an Ulta in Bangor. There are several things I love about this place and several that I dont. They only have one brow girl who I adore we always have great conversation but its unfortunate that it takes me a month just to get in there to get my brows done. When they are out of stock of a product it takes forever for them to restock, I feel the communication between day and night staff need to improve when it comes to knowledge of products being in stock or not. I was told by a day staff they would be in on a Thursday, went back in the next day at night time and was told there would be none in but called the day after that because I was so so so excited to get this palette, and within 45 mins this palette was sold out and now I cannot get it anywhere! I also spent a ton of money all at one time a couple of weeks ago included a hair service and a large amount of money on one brand. I didnt think to ask the girl ringing me out if I could receive free gifts for spending so much because she was looking at me funny and didnt remember to ask for the free gifts but she didnt add them in either. When I went back in I asked if there was anything I could get for spending so much money and I was told there wasnt and was told there was only 3 gifts sent for Tarte products!? When I do a huge makeup haul I go to ulta for all the extreme benefits but lately I havent been receiving anything free, which is a disappointment when Im spending a to. On high end products. I hope the girls can remember to add gifts.
