I stopped by the bourbon market today and was pleasantly surprised by the selection. David was very knowledgeable, offered some good tips, and was very pleasant to talk to. Will definitely be a repeat stop whenever Im in town.

Very interesting selection of bourbon, rye, and other whiskey. As with many small shops the prices vary from retail to slightly optimistic. Saw a few things Id not seen other places and enjoyed looking around at the variety. Not the place to come to if youre just chasing allocated stuff but worth a visit if youre the type that appreciates a variety of whiskey and Scotch.Edit due to stores response: No I dont work for a competing store and yes Im quite sure Im reviewing the correct store. A good example would be the 18 year Glen Elgin that was 500+ when it should be closer to 350. Its a tough to find bottle but not impossible to find and that was a bit too much for that particular bottle. Ive changed my review down to a 3 star from a 4 star because of the poor attitude of the owner. Being accused of doing a false review is enough to ensure I wont be back.

Knowledgable people. Good selection. Tastings. Small place and extremely crowded because we were there for the Bourbon Festival and everyone had the same idea. But even with jostling for space, its a fun place to browse and buy.

Great little secret shop in the middle of town. The owner was super helpful and had some hard to find bottles!! If youre in town for anything bourbon related this is a must visit!

An extremely comprehensive selection of bourbon, whiskey, and whisky that extends it borders far beyond just Kentucky. The statement good things come in small packages definitely describes this wonderful little store with an very personable staff. Also a great lead to get a wee dram from their speakeasy just around the corner.

Came here on a Wed, no allocated bottles but excellent picks and service nonetheless. Easy street parking.

I feared they would have a limited selection from being picked over. Not so. There were several harder to find bourbons and their prices are reasonable. Its not a large shop but still well worth a visit.

Great store! This was exactly what we were hoping for on our weekend trip to Bardstown. Tons of bourbon from all over, bourbon infused seasonings and sauces! Make sure to visit their Speakeasy for a cocktail!

A must stop when in Bardstown. The owner is very gracious with his time and will answer all your questions with an honest personal review. Bought his store favorite while there and went back the next day for more. It was exactly as described. Prices were very fair as well which is a plus.

No prices on anything. Have to ask for every bottle you might be interested in. Put prices on so folks know how high they really are.

Have been there twice. A great selection of bourbons and ryes. The proprietor is legit. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and enjoyable. What he has is priced fairly. My 45 at his shop was one of the most memorable aspects of a recent trip. My only regret is that I did not spend time at his speakeasy. I will do that on my next trip.

Did you say you like Bourbon? You have got to stop in at The Blind Pig Market. Fantastic variety of bourbon and the staff can answer almost any question about their selection and the distilleries. Also can give you some ideas of places to see that might not be on your list of sites and places you see.

Didnt partake of drinks at the bar, but David in the shop has excellent offerings of books and gifts found in very few other locations. David is very knowledgeable of the Bourbon industry and interesting locations in the area and will honestly tell you who has the best food, best cocktails, and sites you really shouldnt miss. He also has Bourbon resource books for those who want to pursue their knowledge into becoming a Bourbon expert.

Wonderful, quiet bar just off the main drag in Bardstown. We had a lovely evening with Hayes making excellent cocktails, and made some new friends around the bar. This will be my first stop next trip. Theres also a nice gift shop and liquor store attached, open during the day.

Wonderful little bar with a large patio in the back. All the Burbons you could think to try are available. Flights or well made cocktails. The bartender is very knowledgeable and friendly. Wonderful establishment in a beautiful historic building.

A hidden gem just off of the main road in Bardstown! Great gifts abound with bourbon and Kentucky themes. You know youre in KY when you see a sign with gift shop to the left and bourbon tasting to the right. The bourbon balls and other bourbon infused chocolates look great. It appears that they may be expanding with a B&B soon!

What a great local experience! This is a bourbon tasting bar with a great little gift shop attached that makes for a great stop on any trip to Bardstown! Howard was our barkeep and educator. He did an amazing job of explaining all of the different flavors and characteristics of the bourbons and narrowing down the selection of 100 plus bourbons they had on hand to meet our tastes. You can tell both he and the other barkeep, Evylin, have a shared love of bourbon and want to help you fully appreciate the spirit. I genuinely felt they were excited to answer our questions and engage in a discussion about bourbon. This really is a one of a kind establishment that is both authentic and unique and I cannot recommend it enough!

Perfect experience. The bartenders helped us make a custom flight and their special bourbon cocktail was delicious as well.

Bought a $75 bottle of Willett Rye “at the same price you get it at the distillery” while my husband paid $20 less for the same bottle after a tour. Not opposed to a shop owner making a buck but I didn’t appreciate the sales pitch.

Owner/bartender Howard meticulously blended different bourbons with both sweet and dry ingredients to concoct some of the best drinks we have ever had. One would have guessed he was a chemist in a lab instead of behind a bar.
