Barbara and I were visiting from southern Maryland and were hoping to take some ice wine back with us. There was none in stock, but Jodi and Christine went so far out of their way and made sure that by the time we were ready to go back home, they had a selection of great ice wines for us! The owner, Christine Crocker has a very large selection of scotch and bourbon competitively priced. The wine selection is very extensive and priced just right! Everytime I shop at The Yngodess I am welcomed with excellent customer service. They have an excellent selection of Bourbons and whiskeys that is constantly being updated. If they dont have it, they always do their best to try and find it for you. We are lucky to have The Yngodess in Batavia.

Ryder and pushy employees. Their credit card machine was down and I patiently waited a bit for them to get it running to no avail. No problem, technology fails us at times. They then proceeded to try and get us to leave our card information to put the order through when it was working. I told them I was uncomplicated with that and the woman who I presume was the owner said she had been in business 22 years and would never rip off a customer. I told her although I believed her, I still was not comfortable with it. She got more aggressive and told me I could do it off of her cell phone with the little plug in card reader, at this point I was not giving this woman my card and she didnt like it, but after bickering back and forth finally I walked out and went to purchase my alcohol down the road!!

My new faviorte wine store in gensee county. I have always had great friendly service. The worker even offered me an cold bottle of the barefoot bay wine that I came in for.And they had a great recommendation for a wine that was back ordered.

The owner has a great knowledge of everything she carries, and shes always friendly and willing to help you find what you like. The shop has a vast, diverse selection, including hard-to-find and local (NY) drinks. I highly recommend checking it out.

When you get here you can expect to be greeted. The helpful staff will point to whatever you are looking for. Prices at the YNGODESS are competitive there are frequently samples offered. The best spot to park is right in front of their door right on the street.
