Worst company to ever deal with EVER!! Went from paying an outrageous amount in cash (over $5000.00) for an alarm system install. Then to making monthly payments for monitoring. They did such an awful job that we went with another alarm system. Still stuck with their monthly monitoring all up front also after one year of paying it. It was to be monthly payments, which they decided they wanted right now instead of letting us pay it down over the 2 years agreed upon. This company ripped us off! Please choose a trusted alarm system!! You deserve good quality & at fair price! Your life may depend on it, like mine did!! When it comes down to it your life is more valuable this irresponsible company! Invest in your life! 😳 YOU ARE WORTH IT!!

Great customer service. I had them place a camera where I was not totally satisfied with. They came back out and moved the camera for me at no charge as well as fix some other small issues. Installation was quick and professional. Highly recommend

I feel ripped off. Its been over 3 weeks and my install is still not complete. We requested an indoor camera, never got it. The person sent to install the system, started the install, took two days, then ghosted is for a week and a half. I had to call to see when our install would be completed, still took over a week to get the guy back out! I would text the sales person and not hear back. Owner promised to call me last week... never did. I never received an invoice but they were quick to finance the system. So I dont know how much it all cost but I know I have a new line of credit to pay on. Smh. I would rather pay somebody to sit outside my house than pay for this system. I dont understand why there are multiple apps for the system either. Whatever.

LA alarms has been an overall good service, though the seller was not upfront with me about the prices and that it was a loan for $5200.I was later informed the price was for equipment. The equipment is not completely reliable but the quality and review the the footage is spectacular once reviewed. I would note every time I requested a service on my equipment they were readily available.

I switched my business to la alarms, I even paid for 5 years in advance. Big mistake. First they attempt to run my credit without my consent.Second, last night we had a break in WHILE THE ALARM Was armed. They broke through a brick wall. And the alarm never went off. The thief was in the store for 10 minutes. And nothing. No alarm, no police. Nothing but excuses. And avoiding my calls.I lost 40,000.00 in inventory and damages, Shop around. I really had high expectations and was very excited for my new smart home as the sales rep was very knowledgeable and professional. I had also wanted to upgrade to a camera service as well. However the basic smart home installation was unimaginably horrible! The technician appeared to be very frustrated and confused. In addition he put a gash in my hallway wall with his ladder without telling me that I had to repair, stripped out so many screws on my control panel that it was very crooked, stripped out mounting screws on the wi-fi deadbolt lock plate so that when he re mounted it crooked the deadbolt got stuck every time so it would not lock or unlock by the keypad or app, you had to force it manually and was very difficult to lock from the key side. My digital doorbell also got disconnected and I found the wires cut and the digital doorbell adapter cut out and lying in my attic insulation, and the doorbell camera bypassed the doorbell chimes and wired directly to power supply in the attic. However I changed internet service providers so my Skybell Doorbell Camera does not work now without calling LA Alarms. I was told by my sales Rep that my wi-fi garage door opener would work with the system and the app, but the install tech said he didnt know how to do that. I do have a wonderful thermostat that I can control from the Alarm.com app on my phone from any location! Which I love! Thats it. I am sorry I have not reached out for any additional service or repair, because In my opinion, short of burning my house down this was the worst installation or service experience I have ever had In my entire life. That being said my employer has used LA Alarm recently on our Office building in Baton Rouge and it went fantastic. Very clean install, no issues. I do think it would be wise company policy to also change the admin password from 1234 as this seems to be left on all the control panels installed by LA Alarm that I have come across, shocking the owners.I withheld posting this review for 18 months, but was asked to do so today by Gary Hand of La Alarms.-With kindest regards

I had issues with the system from day one. The installers punched a hole in a bedroom ceiling and left without say anything. I discovered the large hole the next day. The individual who sold the system did not make it clear that they were applying for a credit card on my behalf in order to have the system installed. Please please please do not use this company. During the first two weeks after installation, I had to have the technician out four to five times. I am still waiting on the credit they promised.

WARNING! Do NOT use LA Alarms. Had the worst experience. Came here and told us it was $65 a month and that was it. Couple weeks later we received a notice from synchrony bank that we had a balance of $3300 for the alarm system and that’s it’s on our credit. Called numerous of times to try to speak to someone about canceling because our so called rep forgot to tell us that it was a credit card and that’s how we payed for the system. We were NEVER told that in the appointment. Talked to The rep once again and he said he would take care of it and canceling the contract and canceling everything with synchrony bank. Called today AGAIN and now they can’t do anything about the $3300 charge on a credit card that we were unaware of. So just a heads up.

STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!!!!! Right after the purchase of my DSLD home I was contacted by Justin. The lies started soon as he asked for my social, I was told it’s just to make sure I am who I said and it’s a soft pull. The next day I woke up to 3! Yup 3 HARD INQUIRIES!!!! Dropped my score 12 points. He didn’t called me I had to call him, which is very unprofessional. The story he gave me was he don’t know why it ran 3 times. What? Then he calls back an hour later to say I didn’t get approved for a package. Where was all these details in the beginning sir? I just purchased a brand new home and you’re telling me I’m not approved ? He said he’s working on it. Well that was about a month ago. My wife talked to the supervisor and everything. Please just stay away, it’s not worth the scam these people trying to run.

I do like my alarm system, but I would like it better if I get everything I signed up for. I asked for the alarm system with three cameras (door bell, indoor, and backyard). Well when they came to install my system they did not install my cameras. I notified the company and they scheduled my camera installation to take place two days later. For whatever reason when they came to install my cameras they only installed two cameras, doorbell and backyard. I notified the company and another installation was scheduled. Hopefully the third time will be a charm and I will finally have a complete system. Besides the installation errors, the staff Ive encountered were all friendly and knowledgeable.

I was offered an alarm system with DSLD home purchase in Youngsville, Louisiana. . The email showed no charge for installation and monthly charge of $37 a month. I spoke with representative over phone. Her name was lorelai Adams. She said she needed to run credit check for system. No mention of a loan for credit. She then contacted synchrony bank for a loan for the equipment. She returned my call and said I was approved for loan that I never wanted. She said it was for equipment for the package. They went behind my back and got a loan in my name. Now I have to try to cancel a credit card. I was never given a price for equipment. I did not sign any papers giving them access to file for credit for me. This company needs to be looked into with shady business practices.

Just bought a house and received quotes from ADT, Interface, and LA Alarms. For the package I selected, the monthly fee is about the same, however, LA Alarms beats them all with free install. ADT wanted $474 to install and Interface $400. Matt was my sales rep and he did an excellent job. The technicians that put in the system are very friendly and efficient as well. They accidentally forgot to put a sensor on one of my windows and they were out the very next day to make the correction. Another good thing about them is that any time the system malfunctions or isnt reading a sensor, the call out to come fix it is free. If you are looking for an alarm company change or a new alarm system, really consider LA Alarms. They have just as many gadgets as the big national companies, but better pricing and better service.

If i was able to put one star i will.he didnt explain the whole contract and all the terms on it. He came while i was working and when i asked him to let me read the contract before signing it, he told me he will explain all the terms verbally but avoid to let me know it was a 3 years contract and even told me i will get a Discount (i didnt get)with an insurance company(which was the main reason why i ended up signing.after one week of contract the alarm system started fallen down and i call them.after 3 days someone cane to fix it and i explain told him my concern and he looked like he cared and said they ll call me in like one day but no news since.Now i tried to call the guy who convinced me to sign in the first place and my number have been blocked eventhough he was in my shop everyday to make me sign.when i call them to ask them to cancel they ask me to provide audio of our conversations but the question is why would i think about it when i trusted them.i just wish i !could cancel it cause i got it in the first because i was told i ll get a deal with the insurance. I know i am young and a new business owner, i trusted them to easily and i will not make that mistake again.

1 if I could zero stars, I just built a new home in Marrero, my home is on about 3 weeks old old. La alarms was recommended by dsld. When they came into my house hooked up wires in my atticFor security cameras it installed with an extension cord faulty wires that was sparking and electric tape. Which kept triggering our circuit breaker and we didnt know what was going on. When I brought it to the companys attention they only said oh well we can just take the cameras and give you money back nobody never said sorry or address the fact that if we didnt catch it which is almost two weeks later after the install our attic would have caught on fire. I still never got an apology for a faulty installation they said oh by the way we will fire the guy that installed it. Thats not my point to have someone fired. Who trained him to put in the installation la alarm! The manager who came in came in to address the complaint almost a week later was very rude had an attitude with us because we had a complaint our house could have caught fire. For me this whole issue is not even about money getting anybody fired, nobody never apologize for the mistake at this point I no longer want any service with a little arms but was told because I didnt cancel within 3 days I will be penalized but I didnt find the faulty wires into a week after it was installed and still no apology
