The Bean has it all any season of the year! Iced Coffees for the warmer months and love their Lattes for the Fall & Winter. Their specialty flavors are delicious and the quality is always top notch. The staff is courteous & friendly but most of all helpful. They will guide you through your order so you get just the right flavor you are looking for. The ambience & decor is great. Bright sunny windows in the front with views of bustling downtown Bay Shore are a great place to chat with friends. The back has you surrounded by brick, cozy tables and couches for a laid-back experience.

I dont really know why this is my experience 2/3 times going there, but it seems they mess up my drink orders more often than not. Simple, not overly complicated drink orders. Here are some common issues:- If I order a mocha latte, they NEVER stir the chocolate. It just sits at the bottom, unmixed. I feel like its not really hard to realize that you should stir, or at the very least make sure that the chocolate in the drink is melted.- There has been more than one occasion where I have ordered a drink and it doesnt fill the cup. If I ordered a large, why is a third of my cup empty? Its not room for foam as lattes do not need a third of a cup for foam, and usually there isnt any foam ANYWAY.- Why is my HOT drink COLD. I think this one speaks for itself.- Drinks typically take a long time, but Ive seen the layout and I dont completely fault the employees as it seems it doesnt look like they have the best space to work with. Still, this backs the line up all the times which is kind of ridiculous.I dont typically ask them to fix the drinks as I know that they get busy and I dont like to feel like a bother, but honestly the consistency of mistakes is overwhelming. I usually go there since its conviently located but I remember why I stopped awhile ago. I like the aesthetic but honestly that doesnt make up for the inconsistency especially since I dont typically hang out there. I really wanted to love this place but I cant.

Cute little coffee shop. They had your usual drink menu in addition to smoothies. They had some very unique flavors, it was hard to choose which one to order. I was kind of disappointed with their pastries selection, though. Maybe they ran out or they only have limited ones during the weekends - not sure. I prefer to enjoy my drink with a side treat so that was a letdown. Other than that, the ambiance was quaint, the bathroom was clean and service was good.

Tried this place for the first time and the coffee was just too good. I got an iced hazelnut macchiato with foam with an everything bagel. I ran through it like it was nothing. I found myself craving another but the line grew out of thin air! Takes some time but it’s worth it. Thank you guys!

The staff was friendly and efficient, and the sitting area in the back is nice when youre killing time before the train. The coffee is served way too hot. Its decent, but not very flavorful. Probably best to order a milky heavily flavored drink, but thats not my thing.

I come here multiple times a week and have honestly become such a fan of this Bean location, moreso than Babylon and Patchogue. There is such a homey feel, and the staff is a group of fun personalities. The coffee is great!! If I was you, I would get a soup or quiche also, as not as many people know about the little food gems you can get here - not just a latte and dessert. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place !!

My first time there and my impression was absolute sloppiness from the person serving. The quality in the coffee and smoothie ordered was subpar. It was a complete disappointment.

I like their iced coffee, which is reasonably priced, but their pastries are extremely expensive. They have a rainbow cookie small loaf cake thats 7 or 7.50. It should be half that, but someone really needs to tell them about customer service. They have an outdoor window, so you can place an order wo coming inside. You can stand there forever wo them acknowledging you. I left today and a few months ago I walked away. I noticed another gentleman recently drive up, walk to the window, and get back in his car and drive away after being ignored. Just once, someone said Ill be right with you. Whenever you go to Starbucks, they always greet you right away. That means a lot. Even though you have to wait, they acknowlede you. Here at Bay Shore Bean, you stand for minutes on end, wondering if or when youll be helped. If this continues, Im going to have to stop going. I want to make a note that there is a friendly young black woman that works here. Shes not one of the ones that ignores me.

The desserts and coffee are great. I usually go on a Friday or Saturday to listen to the live music. Its a nice little atmosphere. Only thing is on the weekends I wish they were open later. Sometimes you dont want to do the crazy bar scene and want to just sit back relax and have a nice conversation without yelling, and unfortunately it ends at 9:30pm.I heard the open mic nights are pretty good, however I have yet to experience it.But if youre looking for some good coffee and some great little desserts, especially blue berry pie then this is a great little place. Prices are little on higher side, but its worth it.The customer service is friendly as well, always had a good experience.

The atmosphere was interesting. There was a woman with a cat in a bag, and a girl doing arts & crafts at a table. Theres plenty of seating, including an L-shaped bench in the back. Some guy laid down next to me while I was waiting to meet up with someone, so I guess you could say its relaxed.The cashier seemed like he may have been high, but I dont expect too much and I got my order just fine. The coffee was just okay.Probably wont return, but its good for a quick stop.

I love this place . I come here every weekend and have my coffee and hang out. Customer service is everything and I will say this morning when I came in and order my coffee and my apple crumb coffee cake . I was disappointed because I asked for a plate they said they were all dirty in the kitchen!

Nice place but the employees dont want to be bothered. Asked if they were open around 830. Theyre website said 1100pm. The chairs were up and it looked like they were closing. She said well if its slow like it is now we close at 900. There is a line behind me. We eat an average piece of cake and leave at 850. It was nice of the staff to mop the floor ahead of us. I dont think its minorities they dont welcome. It everyone.

One of my favorite cafes on Long Island, has pretty good coffee but the real reason to come is the variety. This cafe offers non dairy milks, cold brews, cakes, wraps, juice, smoothies, acai bowls, and also sells local cookies, honey and peanut butter. Staff is friendly and interior is beautiful. Also open late and has live music

I call to place small orders only because I cannot leave the office alone as I am the only one here, and its way faster for me to place the order and go in and out to pick it up rather than wait 20 minutes for a bagel. I called Friday morning as I do most times, and whoever picked up the phone said give me one second, forgot to mute the phone and proceeded to say Ugh I cant stand these people. After that, she was rushing me off the phone. Honestly I love the smoothies but at the end of the day I dont need to be spending over $10 anywhere that I am not wanted. Im extremely friendly to the staff, always have been, so this behavior was a shock to me.
