Doug is fantastic. He helped my daughter and I with out eye exams. He was extra helpful picking out frames for both of us. If you need an eye exam and glasses, this is the place to go to.Jimmy was also extremely helpful. Very courteous. They care !! Highly recommended!!!!
The eye dr. that examined my eyes was great and very friendly and he figured out the perfect prescription for me! I absolutely love my contacts. My only issue was that I had an appointment at a specific time and I showed up on time and I had to stand outside and wait a long time for them to open. It looked like maybe they showed up late to work. It caused me to be late to my job after my appointment. I also ordered glasses to give my eyes a break whenever I dont want to wear my contacts. When my order came in I went to the store to have them fitted. The girls at the front did not seem to understand how to properly adjust the glasses to my head. I kept getting the feeling like they didnt know what they were doing and I did not feel confident. I kindly requested to please get this right today because it took me a while to drive here and I dont have a lot of time to come back. It still didnt feel right after several attempts. I just made do with them the way she adjusted them and I left. I didnt want to make it awkward by repeatedly saying they arent right. I put them on again when I got home and they kept falling down my nose past my eyes and were extremely loose and werent even touching my ears at all and were up high in my hair. Im very surprised the Bayshore location let me walk out like this. I was so disappointed and have been unable to wear them for a month they were so bad. I think the girls definitely need more training on fitting glasses. I decided to try the Sayville location instead and Jimmy corrected the problem right away and confidently fixed it in a few minutes. As soon as I put the glasses on he saw how off the glasses were and not fitted to me properly at all. Its amazing how quickly he fixed it and they now feel great!!! Im going to always go to Sayville from now on.
The excellent reviews come as quite a surprise as I had the worst experience here. I ordered a pair of sunglasses and had my eye doctor’s office fax my prescription as I wanted to get prescription lenses put into the frames. When I ordered the sunglasses (which came to $315 with the prescription lenses) I wasn’t told I could only pick them up on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 11 am and 7 pm. I would also be unable to pick up between 2 pm and 3 pm because the staff went to lunch at that time. It wasn’t the end of the world but it would be inconvenient as I had recently moved 30 min away. I received a 25% off coupon via email a few weeks after I placed my order. I called to see if this offer could be applied to my purchase and it was as if I had asked the staff member as well as Jim the manager to perform nuclear fusion or something. There was so much confusion and they made it such a complicated process that it was beyond frustrating. The woman I spoke to on the phone, Clarissa, instructed me to come down when Jim the manager would be there. I showed up on a Saturday when I knew he would be there and he told me I had to print out the coupon and it wasn’t sufficient for me to just show him the email on my phone. I told him I would come back the next day. He told me not to do that because “it’s going to be too busy in here”. OkI returned again on a day the following week with a printed copy of the coupon. Clarissa was there but the manager Jim was not. She then told me there was nothing she could do because she needed a code even though the code THANKS 25 was right there on the coupon. At this point the frustration was building but I told her I would come back when Jim was there. I return a third time. Jim tells me that the discount was on the frame only and since I had already received a $25 discount using a friend’s AARP number and 5% with my Target red card that the 25% discount wouldn’t matter much. I take the sunglasses and try them in my car to discover the prescription lenses hadn’t been put in! I go back into the store to explain this to Jim and instead of trying to rectify the problem tells me he’s going to give me a refund and walks away to the customer service desk with my sunglasses. I was livid, especially the next day when it was beautiful outside and I wanted to read a book outside in my backyard!
I received excellent service from Jim! My glasses were broken and he was able to fix them for me. He was so polite and professional. I can see again, thank you so much!!!

The store was very clean and i felt they took safety measures very seriously, the staff was also very cool to talk too ! i will be going going to this location again !
Doug was extremely helpful, attentive, and nice to work with. My mom went in for new sunglasses because she saw a sign for a sale they were having. Doug showed us exactly what was on sale and was quick, but not rushing us out. When the sunglasses arrived in the store, he noticed they were a tad bit sharp on the edges and tried filing them down, but was dissatisfied with them, so he ordered new ones at no extra cost. Not many optical places pay attention to the small details like that!

Decided I was tired of wearing glasses that were years old. Im the type of person who when I make a decision, I jump on it and don’t like to wait. So on a late Sunday afternoon, my husband and I were calling every optical center around. We came across an appointment here, and from the beginning I was impressed. Easy and quick to schedule an appointment online. Doug was the technician who helped us from start to finish. He explained the entire process, was knowledgeable and probably helped us save a buck or two. And though I was skeptical at first of walking out of the office with a new glasses prescription without coming in contact with a single doctor, I can say it feels too good to be true. FIVE days, yes five, after walking in to Target Optical, I am enjoying being able to see again. They do not take our vision plan (Davis Vision), but I honestly didn’t pay much more than I would have if they did. If you are in need of a stylish new pair of frames for a great price, and an experience that will be sure to blow you away, please schedule your eye exam at Target.PSA: If you go on a Sunday (or multiple other weekdays), you will not actually see a doctor in person. The technician will do all of the testing and send it over to the doctor. You will webchat with a doctor, and someone who will give you your glasses prescription. It was a little strange to have them adjusting the refraction machine virtually, but the end result is just as good as if they were standing in the room with me.
