Explained the situation of needing to install sensors on the phone including wiring. $194. Arrived and stated cannot install wires cannot install the connectors which I totally explained were needed when I called. Something about this would imply some kind of warranty. So the $194 was to put in sensor on existing which would not work? No wiring? Just install the sensor and that is it which is impossible. I did explain this but the owner implied I did not. He wasnt even who I talked to. Total waste of time and nothing got done.IN RESPONSE: Worked in the service industry for years which you just assume isnt true. The tech and I got along just fine. Any frustration expressed was not at the tech and I literally told him that. I never begged him to come back as described. The problem was simple. I bought and installed the garage door opener years ago but used the old sensors. Worked fine until recently. The install was the sensors which were not used when I installed the opener. Perhaps lessons on internal communications and procedures are the problem here. $194 to make four splices, insert a sensor, and turn a wing nut if that had been the situation. It was not. I did the install and all works fine.

They came out the same day, that’s why I gave them two stars instead of one.My garage torsion spring broke. They came out replaced both springs, tested the garage door and it worked.Went to pay and he informs me it’s a 3% charge for debit/credit card use which should have been mentioned when setting the appointment. The average person doesn’t just walk around with $500 In cash. Went to the ATM around the corner, come back and now the garage door won’t open but will close. He says he’s needs to adjust the springs as the door maybe to heavy for the operator (mind you, this operator been opening this door for the last three years). The serviceman then tried to sell me a new operator for $570+. I researched the model he quoted me and the operator averaged $150-$175 so $400 in labor, for an operator that you broke, on top of the $400 I just paid And I have garage cameras which shows the door was working then stopped :(. And I made sure the serviceman wrote on my receipt that the door didn’t work.Long story short use OVERHEAD ACTION. They were able to fix what Dabney’s servicemen broke.

I had to get a Torsion Spring replaced after it broke this weekend. Called them Monday morning and they set up an appointment for the same day that afternoon. They were on time with what was scheduled. They replaced my single torsion spring to a pair of torsion springs to extend the life of the springs. They greased all the rollers, made sure it functioned properly and fixed my outdoor trim as well!!! Very professional! I highly recommend them to anyone! They are very helpful and easy to work with! Id give them 10 stars if I could. Thanks Dabney Garage Doors!

Had a problem with my electric garage door opening and closing Called Dabney Doors and spoke to the owner to schedule a service call to come out and fix them. He said first he would try to walk me through fixing it to save me money. I took pictures of the problem and sent them to him and he walked me through fixing the problem! It was wonderful. So thankful that he cared about saving me money! Now that’s customer service!

I would highly suggest that you go to another company. The rollers on my door needed to be replaced, but they gave me a thousand reasons why I needed a new door. They even went as far as telling me it was the trim on my home that was preventing my garage door from closing. I encourage you to keep scrolling and find another company.

I have had nothing but good luck and great service from these guys. After Harvey I had a new opener installed and the original door readjusted and a very reasonable price with quick and professional service. The new install was clean. Afterwards Mr. Dabney helped me find an issue with my push button that I had caused at no charge with no fuss. I just went and got a new remote for the opener from him and he was extra polite and made sure I knew how to program it before I left. Highly recommend.

I had my garage door installed about a year ago, it stated to shake bad when lowering it or raising it up. It doesn’t go all the way to floor when closed. It takes about 3 or 4 try’s to get it to lower or come up, it will go a fourth of the way up then stop. I have to repeatedly try to before it closes or opens. In my opinion this should not happen with this being a new door.

Mr. Dabney is a joke. I called to check on what it would cost to get my door serviced and began to describe my problem to him. I told him I might want to keep diagnosing myself if it was going to cost too much to come take a look. He started describing my parts to me and how and where the wires were connected. His description did not match what I have. When I told him that repeatedly, he got short and rude with me. He said, well bud, do you want me to send a truck out to check it out or what do you want to do? I told him, no thanks and that I was done with him...Just read his replies to the negative reviews on here or watch his commercials. He has proved himself how unprofessional he is. Buyer beware.

We own a home in Beaumonts West End and contacted Dabney Garage Doors to purchase and install an opener on one of our single bay garage door.We contacted the main number and spoke to Julie Dabney. She scheduled a technician to come out the same day, and he arrived on time (actually, a little early). The technician was very courteous and professional and installed the opener quickly. The new opener is much quieter than the opener on our other door and was adjusted perfectly. While the technician was on-site, he even oiled the wheels and hinges on the other door, making it creak and groan far less than before (although still easily twice as loud as the new opener).Dabney Garage Doors perform excellent work. They arent the cheapest but, in my opinion, they are the best. I recommend them to anyone needing garage door service, sales, are parts - and expecting the best service money can buy.

Came to replace sensors my dog chewed up, called Thursday afternoon and they were able to come Monday. Too bad it couldnt be sooner but I called other companies and they had same turn around time. The next day I accidentally ran into my garage door backing up, called them at 740 and at 840 the door was repaired and the technician was pulling out of my driveways thanks Julie!

Dabney was an excellent choice for us. They were easy to contact, came out same day, and when we were ready to install they came right on time. My one disappointment would be they charged me $109.00 for a service call just to come out, push one button, and tell me my operator was too old to repair. Which I believe they could have told me that over the phone. Literally charged me over $100 for one minutes work. Even though I purchased from them, they did not discount the service call charge. Obviously, this did leave a bad taste in my mouth, but we felt like the company would do superior work.

Be sure to be available when they decide to be at your home, whether early or not. The second appointment was a miscommunication by each of us. More “one star” than anything else.

It is in poor taste and not humorous what so ever the owners of this business are using the verbiage I need a pill in their most recent commercial. There is a national crisis in the abuse of prescription medication and do not have a for thought about how this is impacting the cities in which they serve.
