They did a great job! We had a dinosaur princess party for our daughter’s third birthday. They made the cutest cake for it, and it was delicious too!Very sweet people, and a pleasure to work with.We will definitely be using them again!

We wanted to give a shout out to Dessert Tray as we have used them for many events including our daughter’s wedding and were extremely pleased with the quality and variety of cupcakes they baked for us. A couple of weeks ago we ordered 4 dozen cupcakes for another event and to our surprise we disappointed with the product ... I hesitated to call the owner but I did want them to know that their baked goods were not up to their usual high standards and the owner immediately took responsibility and gave us a full refund! The reason I am writing this review is of you want a delicious, moist and flavorable baked goods I recommend Dessert Tray ... they stand by their product and want every customer to be completely satisfied....

Had a wonderful first time experience with the dessert tray! My daughter requested a variety of flavors for her birthday cake and the dessert tray was able to accommodate. They were so friendly and even helped me out to the car. I got some other goods as well upon picking up the special order. The cookies are amazing! They are large and filling. Definitely recommend and they are now our go to bakery.

I absolutely recommend The Dessert Tray.I wanted a Custom made vegan birthday cake for my daughters 6th birthday.I just emailed them the type, flavor,theme i wanted,along with a picture, they said yes,we can do it, when do you need it, and that was it. The cake was beautiful, delicious and reasonably priced. Very nice staff.

I have ordered both my sons first and 2nd birthday cakes and they have always been amazing along with some giant cookies and they are so good! Today I went and picked up a cake for my niece party and some cookies! This will be our family bakery for many years, such sweet people and wonderful cakes and cookies! PS: worth the drive from SE Portland.

I absolutely do not recommend Dessert Tray. I ordered cake for my daughters birthday on 7/10/21 and it turned out every guest mentioned cake was too sweet and even children in the party complained of cake being too sweet and not being able to eat it. Its very frustrating that Dessert Tray ruined my daughters birthday party and in fact my daughter is dejected with this. There are some left overs but nobody wants to consume that because of the amount of sugar used. It was a special order cake that looked like a wedding cake and expensive and we feel despite all of the spend we ended up with a poor experience.The owners response didnt show any empathy for the situation we went through. Instead my family and my friends got indirectly blamed for judging the sweetness incorrectly. Instead of looking into the issue where we felt that cake had been doused with an enormous amount of sugar the owner instead tried to say it was some sweetness was as if it was normal. Putting the blame back on the customer is not very polite way of doing business.

Ordered galaxy themed red velvet cupcakes for our 9 year olds birthday. They were adorable and very tasty. Staff were responsive to responsive and flexibly. Looking forward to ordering from here again!

Delicious! Made from scratch baking, top quality. I recommend Dessert Tray to family, friends and clients all the time. Over the holidays of 2020 I ordered 5 different pies and each were a hit. My daughters favorite item is the Swedish cream, original and chocolate. Cookies and cakes are awesome too.

We have been visiting The Dessert Tray for 15 years now when we engaged them for our wedding cake. Robin did such an incredible job on that we have ordered our anniversary cakes and birthday cakes from them year after year! During these challenging times, my birthday snuck up on my husband who didnt think about ordering a cake; he went in and got a Red Velvet that was in the case and Im not kidding when I say this was the BEST Red Velvet cake Ive ever had! Get your treats fir all occasions from The Dessert Tray, while its kind of funky to get into their parking lot, its totally worth the trip! Enjoy!!

Delicious cakes, cookies, etc..

Purchased some lemon bars and berry/cheesecake bars. Yuck!The bars looked great but they had to be a week old when I bought them. They were hard and the “cheesecake” part was like rubber. I Thew them out. Plus, the gal that waited on me had the all the warmth and customer service skills of a rock. I’ll never go back.

Can I say enough good things? No. I love the owner and master baker. She had no problem with catering a medium size same sex wedding in 2010. Every time I am back in Portland I pop in for more cakes. Moist, meticulous designs, on time delivery, fast set up and and endless assortment of styles an flavors. Very professional all around. Thank you Dessert Tray!

My husband and I used this company for our wedding five years ago and they did a BEAUTIFUL job. Our expectation were high and we wanted the most sophisticated design possible and they exceeded our hopes. The owner of the company even came with the team for delivery and set up. We have since used them for catering. We have successfully recommended two other couples for wedding needs- one of which is same sex and we were told that they were treated wonderfully! I stood waiting at the counter for at least five minutes and was never served. I was the only customer there. There were people behind the counter working, and they kept looking at me, but did not serve me or even acknowledge that I was there waiting. I ended up leaving without being served because waiting had gotten ridiculous.

My go to place for all things sweet! I ordered a chocolate-orange cake for my wifes birthday and it was a huge hit. All their cakes have been amazing over the years.

Every month my work has trainings in this area. I stumbled by it on accident and bought a peanut butter brownie bar. It was the best $2 I have ever spent! Cant wait until I am back in the area next month to share with coworkers.

I was looking for a Key Lime pie for my daughters birthday. I called some of the usual bakeries in Beaverton. None of them could help me. I looked online and found The Dessert Tray they could bake that pie. I picked it up today as well as bought one of their yummy Butterscotch Crunch cookies. The whole family raved about the pie. They said the graham cracker crust was so buttery & delicious and the lime filling was beyond delicious. I loved their cozy business and warm & friendly employees. I will use them again for sure.

Top notch birthday cakes! Dessert Tray provided custom cakes for our both our daughters and sons first birthday parties. Both were absolutely adorable and matched their themes perfectly. Not to mention very tasty! Prices were very reasonable. A layered sheet cake to feed 40+ with tons of fondant cutouts was around $120, we had a lot left over.

The most condescending and unhelpful sale person on the line. I would avoid that place like plague never going there again. Tried ordering a birthday cake and the lady hold me she will hang up the phone so I can decide what exactly to order and was of no help whatsoever. Whatever happened to good customer service!

They have the BEST COOKIES!!! Snickerdoodle is my favorite - incredible! Ive also had a few of their bars and coffee - both great. I have yet to try their cakes, for fear I would eat an entire one myself.

We have moved to Portland from Europe 3 years ago. Oregon has been a delight in every way except one:desserts. Everything is too sweet or just tasteless sugary junk. There were several ok restaurants but none had truly delicious and outstanding cake.I am a sweets person so we always try desserts at any restaurant we go and i have tried all in-grocery bakeries in Portland. Boston Cream Pie at this place is the first top quality cake we have tasted in Oregon. I have not tried other cakes yet (which I am eager to try now) but this one deserves 5 star rating.

I bought a Birthday Cake yesterday, it looked okay but when it was time to cut, the icing came crumbling down apart from the cake, the cake was so dry n crumbly, didnt taste good, it seemed to be very old seating on tge shelf. Very dissapointed with the quality. I tried the poppyseed cupcake, not good at all. I had bought chocolate cupcakes an year ago, and loved them and the reason I went back yesterday for my husbands came, but ill never go there again, the quality has deteriorated. I wouldnt reccomend.

My husband to be and I came in for our first wedding cake testing (with a couple other appointments planned afterward ) we were so impressed with Angel that when we left we cancelled the rest of our day of cake tasting! I was looking at their wedding cake books, and when I saw MY cake I started crying tears of joy! So excited! Btw the pppppy seed cake is to die for!

I was stuck on Pi Day since I found out my neighborhood dessert place wouldnt sell me a whole pie unless it was ordered that way (a much longer story). After some searching, I called The Dessert Tray and picked up their last one (cherry streusel) for the game night I was headed to.The person at the counter was very friendly and laughed along with me when I recounted the story of the previous shop. The pie itself was hefty when I picked it up; no supermarket skimping here. The slice I had later was very good, with just the right amount of tart in the cherries, a crunchy/sweet streusel top, and a flavorful crust. It received rave reviews from others that night, and multiple people asked me where I got it so they could check it out.Bonus: while they apparently do have dietary restricted options (a requirement in this area), I confirmed the pie I got was made with plain old butter, flour, sugar, etc., and the taste reflected it.Ill definitely be going back for future dessert needs.

The worst place, I went to look for a wedding cake and they just send me to look some magazines and nobody bother to come and ask me what I was looking for, so we just walk out from that place. Worst service ever.
