We came in to just grab 2 cans of green beans and some butter. My friend and I opened I cooler door to grab some hard seltzers and the second the door opened a six pack of corona just fell out and smashed on the floor. Granted it wasn’t our fault and it was an accident my friend offered to pay for it and I told her not to because it wasn’t our fault but the guy working (The son of the establishment) said he was going to charge us but I insisted he looked at the cameras he realized it wasn’t our fault. My friend still offered to clean up the mess, so he says “you are cleaning it! Wait right there!” And he brought out a bucket with rags to clean up the beer but once she started to clean it he told her “No stop! Stop! I don’t want to get sued! Get out of here!” So we left. This is the second time that same guy has been so rude to me and at this point I hope the dad makes him leave the establishment because that was the worst thing I’ve seen in a store. We were so polite but that was so over the top I will never return.
I have shopped this market more than 10 years! Great service but dont like the be charged 50 cents for using my card .What really gripes me is the elder man uses a favored parking space!
They now charge for using cards to pay. Credit.. debit.... doesnt matter. Its 2021.... and I just think its tacky to do that.... so we wont go there anymore.
My wife and I have lived near Allen Market for over four years, patronizing the market through the previous owners. The current owner/s have excelled in cleanliness, customer service and in general conversations they all have been very helpful and kind. It is this example of local business that is so welcome in our neighborhoods and communities.
Good prices and selection of beer. 👍🍺
They guy that was in there tonight closing the store (05/01/2020) was very rude and made me leave because my chip in my card was malfunctioning and there were 2 people behind me and he was very irritated. I tried to pay with cash and he threw it back at me and told me to leave and I was being very polite just trying to buy my things before I went home. Never coming back.
The worst customer service I literally have ever seen. Please just go across the street and use 7 eleven. Not only are they rude, but I have seen them tell people to leave their store before they were even officially closed, didnt let people finish their shopping. I was utterly shocked!!! Wont ever go there again.
Its a great little market with lower prices. I find the the staff pleasant enough.
I think very often we tend to judge harshly right off the batt. The owner and his son are very kind people. However there English is not so good. So many who come in here think they are being rude or crass when in reality they probably just didnt understand and so there being judged wrongly. Hey are truly kind. My kids have gone in here and say there 75 cents short. The son will just let them come back later and pay. They are good people give them a chance and just pay attention u will see there bn kind just maybe they dont understand u. I hope this store lasts years longer then 7 eleven
The father and son own store, the father is not friendly and pretty rude but his son is very kind and welcoming.
A small convenience store
Strange workers. unpleasant store.
My go to stop for any quick needs. Cheep beer and wine and cide and a large selection. Not to mention the are basically a small store they have a little bit of everything. The staff are always friendly with quick service and they always have good music playing.
