I took my kids to this place to get a treat after their first day of school this year. We haven’t been there before and there was a huge selection of great donuts. We were trying to decide what to get and the cashier was very impatient with us. When I was asking if certain ones had fillings, etc she was very short with us and acted really annoyed that we didn’t know exactly what we wanted as soon as we arrived. I won’t drop the B word here, but yep, that was her. The donuts were expensive, but very good. That’s the only reason I’m giving 2 stars and not 1. That was a bad experience and I’ll give my business to anyone else in the future. I will not be going back to Sesame.
My favorite donut shop. Always fresh. Great people working there. Amazing variety. I think some people may forget how much work goes into providing such variety and quality. Great place for donuts and pastries.
Theyre donuts are amazing. I think theyre better than voodoo donuts hands down. Theyre donuts are super worthy.
Not sure if its the owner or what but the customer service leaves something to be desired....
This place was alright, the cherry fritter was WONDERFUL and I LOVED the cheesecake donut and of course the Sesame donuts
Good dounuts, not the absolute best but not the most expensive either. Very nice lady at the register, she might be the owner.
Best donuts Ive ever had
Good local donut shop with a large variety of donuts (even at 9pm at night). Staff is always super friendly.
The Sesame Donuts I reviewed is located in Hillsboro, Oregon, in mini mall Cornell rd n 25th ave Fresh daily donuts, fun friendly staff !
Well I must of been A Overweight Cop in my previous life, BECAUSE I love them....J/K OFFICERS KEEP US SAFE
Best american style donuts in town! They have carry trusty staples along with roatated specials, like guava. The donut holes are our favorite.
You know that wax paper square that the young lady behind the counter uses to pick up the donuts with? Well I want to tell her, that the wax paper is to keep the donut clean, not keep your hand clean. And stop touching everything with it. Thats nasty. And the donut box is supposed to stay clean too, that means dont put the box sheets on the customer counter to get dirty by customers who lean on the counter as they decide which donuts they want. (Good selection of donuts) Seeing the young lady fold up a box sheet after I dont know how many customers rubbed their dirty forearms on before I did, and then being frugal with the wax paper. Ill never go back here again. Nasty.
Asked for breakfast sandwich, coffee combo, didn’t get the coffee and was charged for it after putting $10 in their tip jar.
Yummy donuts and nice staff. So glad they have vegan options, just wish there were more!
Overall i liked it but it was pretty small and with huge crowds it would feel stuffy.
This is hands down one the best donuts spots in the area. Besides the giant selection that changes regularly, they also offer breakfast sandwiches and coffee - all with a smile and fast service. I highly recommend getting one of their fritters (which are huge) or any of their seasonal donuts, including the pumpkin fritter and the apple cider donut.
Very clean establishments and the donuts at this particular establishment always fresh and plentiful. Good sized donuts at a reasonable price and a wide array of choices.
I had never been into a donut shop as an adult - so this afternoon (12:00) was my first time.I can say that the Apple fritter and bear claw donuts were huge! The coffee is amazing. Literally I was shocked at how good the coffee was (considering that it’s really hit and miss with pit stop style black coffee). (Donut prices range between the classics and the fancy donuts - fritters are priced separately) I got an Apple fritter, bear claw and Bavarian cream filled, and a small coffee for 7.50. Fair price for value I felt. If you buy in dozens or half dozens - you will have to pick from donuts either in the classic or fancy style (they are priced differently). Since I basically ordered from 3 separate categories it made sense to just get what I wanted... not an entire half dozen from one category.I saw a lot of people mentioning poor customer service here. My takeaway was that the gentleman at the counter was - stand off-ish but not necessarily rude. He said have a nice day when I left too. I’m not the type of person to take things too personally - but I can see why some people might struggle with that personality. It’s not super friendly but I wouldn’t say rude or unkind. Thank you Sesame for the service and good donuts 🍩 I won’t ask people to be someone they are not but hey 🙂 I hope your staff grow in the way they care for customers! I’ll come back here. Great place too if you just want a delicious donut and a regular - but delicious coffee.
Pre ordered 5 dozen delicious doughnuts. They were fast and efficient and the order was perfect. Great coffee too. Parking can be ehhhh.
Great selection and reasonable prices. We were there in the afternoon and they still had a lot to choose from.
Best local donuts. We always get the oreo special and devil’s chocolate. Oreo special is a powder donut filled with a sweet cream that’s cookies and cream flavored. Devil’s chocolate is a glazed old fashioned donut. They raised the prices recently which kind of sucks. They distinguish between normal and “fancy” donuts and the fancy ones cost more.
Donuts were rather dry and not great. The woman handling customers was fabulous. She had great customer service and rapport with customers.
When I get a hankering for donuts, nothing beats Sesame donuts. They freeze well. I get what I want, divide them up, put them in zip lock bags and freeze them. Ill pull them out great or thaw and enjoy them. Theyre great.
Who dont luuuv doughnuts??!
Rocks so goood
Yesterday was our first time ever being there. Our 4 yr old son was in heaven. The staff was polite. The atmosphere was great. We brought home a GIANT cinnamon roll. We left with one happy little boy. He loved his donuts.
I visited Sesame Donuts for the first time hoping to get some great donuts and a fancy coffee drink. The donuts did not disappoint us, but they only had self serve coffee in a premade carafe available even though the menu had a range of different coffee options on it. The girl working didnt seem interested in anything except her friends that were hanging out in the back of the shop behind the counter. I think she just didnt want to play barista and she ran back to her giggling teens companions somewhere we couldnt see while we were still finnishing up in the store. So if they hired a new employee then this place would be great because the selection of donuts was amazing and they all tasted delicious! A dozen regular donuts is $12.99 and the cheesecake donut was our favorite.4 stars ****
Great selection even in afternoon.
Amazing selection of donuts. The breakfast sandwiches are really good. Staff has always been friendly and the prices are great.
Not a novelty shop but they have a nice variety of yummy donuts 🍩
Amazing and courteous staff. Very kind and helpful. Donuts are great as well!!!!
Love the cake donuts with chocolate frosting.Very friendly staff
Ive been to this location a dozen times, always fully staffed and always fully stocked. Very clean and and organized. The lady who helped us yesterday night was amazing . She was so nice .Well worth the five stars.
Donuts are delicious, but getting smaller and smaller every time I come in. And the larger Apple fritters and cinnamon rolls that you pay extra for, are now the size of the regular donuts. And,.... prices keep going up. I don’t mind prices going up, but don shrink the donuts as well. They are losing my business.
Pretty good donuts friendly servers. Little on high side of prices.
Dont go here to often any more the donuts are ok but are a little over priced. Ive had better. They used to have a half price deal on dozen donuts after 8pm or something like that which is what used to bring me in more often but they stopped that deal so its been a while since Ive gone in.
Great customer service and donuts are so fluffy n fresh.
Donuts are fine but they restructured their prices. All the good donuts are now specials that went from $1.35 to $2.10 and arent included in the half/full dozen price. Then the special that was $9 after 8pm went from $9 to $12/dozen. We were pretty regular there and probably wont be going there anymore. Used to get 4 Donuts for 5bucks before they went to $1.35 each. Now it almost doubeled in price.
Better than the big chain places!
Great doughnuts, wish they had more variety!
Good service, wide selection, quality donuts. All the classics plus some creatives!
Always the best!
Great place for a pastry cafe. The prices are fair and appealing too. The attendants are awesome and friendly. I recommend!!
Counter help rude annoyed to work. and I overtop her every day
Probably the best donut place in there area. The donuts are fresh and yummy. A little expensive. They have a large selection, but if you want anything othere than the basics (chocolate bar, maple bar, round, etc.) then you will pay a bit more.
When you want all of the attention on the donut and none wasted on atmosphere, this is your place. Always various fritters and croissants on hand. Cheap donut holes.
Best doughnuts ever
The person who attends this place is not very friendly when picking up a purchase is extremely grotesque with the treatment when entering the premises
Good staff and decent selection at 8 pm at night.
Good doughnuts but bad service. Could hardly understand the woman I spoke on the phone with, and she didnt give me what I wanted. Disappointing. Doughnuts are good, though, as long as you order them in the morning when theyre fresh.
Fantastic selection and quality. Get doughnuts from here at least once a month for work and weve never been disappointed. Its my go-to shop on this side of town
Great deal on donut holes!
Took the grandkids today. They loved it! So fun .They picked donuts like the dirt worm, the cookie monster and smores and were in sugar heaven! They gave it a two hands up”..
They have the best donuts in town . They are fresh and delicious. They have good selections for everyone . You need to try their Cookie Monster donut . It is delicious.
Blueberry cake donut!!! Yes. It is the best thing ever and I would drive miles for one. My dog loves there pumpkin donut holes. This location is always fresh and quick. Super friendly staff. Just writing this makes me want a donut..
Awesome donuts! The blueberry cake donuts are the best. They are dense without being too heavy, and the outside gets just a teeny bit crispy so you get a nice contrast between the glazed exterior and flavorful interior. Their other donuts arent frosted too heavily, and they dont taste too overwhelmingly sugary. They have a wide variety of flavors that appeal to children and adults. Highly recommend!
This is a great donut shop. They open every day at 5 AM and sits at the end of a strip mall. Plenty of parking. They have a ton of flavors. Nice shop.
These Donuts are the best! Im so glad they are nearby. I try to make a stop in every time I drive past. Delicious every single time. 🍩
Great place. After 8pm it’s $12 for dozen instead of $14.95
Best donuts in town. costumer service was the best.
So fresh and delicious. Seriously impressed.
Superb donuts, best Ive had. Great staff. And they always have kid themed donuts for the little ones.
1st time visiting this place. A huge variety of fritters, doughnuts, and bagels. Maybe an off day, only one person working behind counter, so the wait was a little long. Great pastries, though. Recommended.
Not one of my notes for the onine order was followed. Not a single donut I requested came in my dozen.
Chocolate/chocolate 🍫 a must have favorite. Im not normally a chocolate 1st Choice donut person. Be warned they are often out of choc./choc. There are other shops I prefer better generally but this is the best chocolate chocolate I have known.
Get there early enough for the warm donuts!
A chain donut place but better than some of the luxe donut chops you hear about, those are just expensive really. We went to most of them and were left wanting after spending $40 us per dozen, thats crazy! These you can count on, probably close to you and always fresh
The cashier I dealt with seemed really unhappy with her job and she didnt let me finish before grabbing my donut holes and then she grabbed the wrong ones. She was happy when I tipped her though. Ill have to avoid evenings there in the future. Donuts were absolutely delicious though.
Besides Voodoo in Portland, best Doughnuts around. Great breakfast sandwiches too. Only reason I dont give it 5 stars is I cannot for the life of me get an apple fritter here.
Best donuts in metro area and have been for many years.
Best donuts and nicest staff!!
Aside from blue star and a couple other high end boutique donut shops in downtown Portland, I truly think no one else is as consistent in making great donuts as this place. Their filled donuts are excellent. Strawberry cream cheese, Maple cream, Portland cream, etc. Definitely worth a visit.
Get here early because once they are gone it closes up. They have so many to choose from! Such a great deal I hope here for my doughnut fix!
Straight forward donut shop with plenty of variety. Try the sesame donut at least once, you just might get hooked. I personally like the old fashioned plain donut best. Store has been clean and had efficient service every time Ive dropped in.
Never had a bad donut here, never walked out without a box of sweets for the family, try them out and youll be back.
Best donuts in town . We love the fritters . Yummy .
Friendly and personable staff. Also, only Sesame Donuts that has mocha and caramel latte donuts. YUM!!
My son specifically out of the blue asked if there is a way to give a grade to a store because he wanted to give a good review about these donuts—the best ever he said. Done.
So far I have only ordered on UberEats due to the quarantine, here is my experience so far: I really like their blended Kona Mochas, though I wish the portions were a little bigger considering the price(with an option for whipped cream!). Both times that I have ordered assorted donut holes and the one time I ordered the assorted 6 pack of donuts I was really underwhelmed. Each time, the variety was insanely lacking--the 6 donuts were all plain except a maple bar and a chocolate frosted. I was expecting at least one cream-filled and maybe something with sprinkes or an interesting topping. NOPE. And each time, the donut-holes tasted about a day old. They gave us mostly air filled holes and powdered, and again, lacking any real variety. To me, the price was not worth it. If I order from them again, it will only be for their coffee.
Update: I did eventually get to try on of these donuts at a Portland location. The donut was very bland and texture was off even for a gluten free baked good. Last time I was at this location they said they no longer make the gluten free donuts. So far Im very disappointed. I know they make fresh donuts every day and they have good prices. I was told they make awesome gluten free donuts by a friend. As someone with celiac I was really excited to try their gluten free donuts, but every time Ive gone they always say that they are currently out.I will probably update my a review if Im every able to try one of these mysterious donuts.
Yummy donuts!! Great parking situation, and these guys are open when other shops arent. Only spot Ive found that compares is their Raleigh hills store thats open 24/7.
There is nothing average about this place. That was the best donut Ive ever had. Just tried a cream cheese donut and it was amazing. Then I had a raspberry filled. So dank. Also very friendly service, best donut shop ever
Spent over $20 for donuts at the Aloha store. Ate 3 mediocre donuts and trash canned the rest. The person who waited on us seemed impatient and wasn’t very helpful. Won’t be spending money on these donuts ever again. Albertsons or Freddie’s fresher and cheaper.
Good donuts, good selection. Very fast service and even when busy not a big wait. A few places to sit and lots of parking.
Donuts are great as always. Would have liked to see masks worn by employees, though.
Their donuts are so good. Large variety. Always fresh. I went in to see if maybe they made Paczki (Polish donut served for Mardi Gras), not this year, maybe next... Grab a dozen of various filled doughnuts to take home to the family to celebrate, so yummy.
This is the best place to get donuts from! Their blueberry cake donuts are my favorite
I imagine that a donut shop is going to be a mini Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory with an amazing variety of donuts and endless rows of the sweet pastry. The reality of donut shops is that its a business and they have to be realistic about the number of donuts they make and the variety that their customers are most interested in. Thats reasonable, but I desperately wanted the table we were seated at to stop wobbling. I know how to fix it, most tables have screw adjustable level feet. Honestly, I think that this shop is fantastic for stepping in for a donut and coffee. Most people dont really want to sit down inside and chat for an hour. Even Voodoo donuts has a couple of tables and chairs, but honestly its not a good place to sit and talk. So, its the perfect little donut shop.
