Its a nice place to buy booze. Dont go if your looking for advice on what to buy - one lady that works there is rude as hell about it, but otherwise everyone is friendly!Their mixers are overpriced but all liquor stores are in Oregon. This one is the most reasonable so I buy them there to support the local businesses.

I just moved to the area from Texas about two months ago. This was the first liquor store Ive been to since arriving here. I see no reason to go anywhere else! I had in mind what I was looking for, but I didnt know where to find it. Ben was very helpful in showing me where it was, but when I mentioned I was going to mix it with egg nog, he suggested something else that was designed to go better with egg nog. He took time to explain the brandy/rum combination, and Im glad I went with his suggestion. More importantly, the simple act of good customer service, and genuine friendliness has turned me into a repeat customer. Additionally, the entire front staff running the registers were extremely friendly. This was an overall great experience, and my wife and me I really enjoyed our nog! Thank you Ben, and thank you Progress Liquor Store.

Very helpful staff who may ask once if you need help, but doesnt constantly barrage you with people trying to help. Some people just need some extra time to look around and decide. Prices are fair and selection is great, especially since they carry local spirits.

Great store, been going here for years until one day I walked in with my girl and Old guy with a beard named I think tony or Toby straight up starred at my girl the whole time and tried to low key hit on my girl. Disgusting to see a 40 year plus old perv starring and checking out every girl that walks in.

Liquor store visits are typically very uneventful: you go in, often knowing what you want, you pick it up, you check out, and you leave. The customer service is commonly nothing to write home about, and usually the only time you leave upset is if they do not have what you want.First of all, this place is recently renovated, and the renovation shows in the sheer improvement to the size of the place and the amount of variety of alcohol that they are now able to sell; they have a very excellent selection of mixers as well. I also noticed that they are open until 8:00PM now Monday-Saturday (5:00PM on Sunday), which is a huge plus, because a lot of liquor stores in Portland close between 7:00-7:30.But even with superior selection, the real star of this place is their staff. I had an extremely pleasant experience with both Tina and Shane, who went above and beyond in assisting me. and making sure my experience was so pleasant, that Im now spending time out of my day to write about it.

This store uses discriminatory practices and does not serve all of its customers equally. This store (which is a state regulated entity) denies access to products it wants to reserve for special customers. Thursday morning I stood in line for over an hour with several other people who I did not know. When the store opened we were told all of the whiskey bottles we had stood in line for were being sold to restaurants. Not a single bottle was sold to a single person. The restaurant customers were not present nor had they paid for the bottles. We were ready, wiling and able buyers, but were told they would not be sold to us. I was shocked. This may be illegal. I recommend you do not support this store due to these kinds of unequal practices that may violate Oregon Administrative Rules. They are not interested in serving the every day customer. I encourage to you visit stores that do not play favorites, and If you have had a similar experience with this please review them.

Everyone in this store is okay, EXCEPT the woman with the blond hair in the pony tail. She has NEVER said hello, goodbye, thank you, or even half smiled. She says nothing other than the amount that you owe. I dont care if shes the owner or just a worker, but shes the only reason why I refuse to go there, and her unfriendliness makes the whole store stink.

This liquor store has the most friendly staff ever! Plus they know what they are talking about when they suggest something. There is more here than any liquor store in the area. If they dont have it in stock they will locate it, and tell you what store in the area has it in stock. But this liquor store has the largest selection in the area.
