This is the place to go for Horror movies or Horror merchandise. A selection of classic vhs and merchandise that would make even The now gone Blockbusters jealous. A MUST VISIT for even the casual fans. Reasonable priced as well that won’t leave your wallet screaming.I will be back!Clean, well stocked, has a bathroom and plenty of parking, staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.

This is a very fun and eclectic shop. The store is somewhat small but packed full of vintage horror treasures. They have old DVDs and even VHS tapes of classic horror movies, collectibles, and figurines. A lot of fun to visit and explore if you at all appreciate classic horror media.

Been wanting to check this place out for awhile glad we finally did so many cool things here and great deals to if your into all things horror this is definitely worth checking out!!! And the fact that they are starting a vhs room in the back soon is awesome!!!

Delightful find full of spooky goodness with my son. We came upon Horror Freak when we were looking for the Quarter Lounge Arcade. Tons of dvds and memorabilia as well as some assorted jars with animal fetuses and dead bats. Well worth a look!

Love this place!Deceivingly large, and a must see for any horror fan. Even the non-horror fans can have fun looking through the endless amounts of toys, collectibles and oddities.Always posting new items on social media and seems to add even more every time I visit.One of a kind and certainly the only place for horror fans in or around DFW.

Ive been a horror freak for 30 years now so you can imagine how excited I was to discover a new shop down the street from my home opened up and was called Horror Freak! They have so much awesome horror related stuff, I was in Heaven. I really liked their toy section as I collect mostly anything Halloween or Friday the 13th and they had plenty. Movies galore. Cant find that one movie you rented decades ago that was so weird and scary that you loved it?... Horror Freak more than likely has it! Very awesome movie section too. Highly recommended!

I go here any time I get the opportunity. They have a wide selection for any type of horror lover. I could easily spend a couple hours just browsing through their movie selection.

A great shop for horror fans. They had a great selection of films and other horror merchandise. Very friendly atmosphere and I would recommend for any horror fan to check it out if given a chance.

Dont get me wrong i like the retro plaza. Horror Freak however is very hit or miss, mostly a miss. The staff is nice usually when theyre not flirting with customers or watching netflix on their phone. I find their prices seriously over inflated for most collectables. You can find most things online for way cheaper, for instance they had a bluray copy of the 1981 film Maniac on sale for 50 dollars awhile back. I found the same one at Frys electronics for $13. Their selections are rather lacking in genuinely good cult films, but if you like popular blockbuster films that are played out by the public, maybe this place is for you. Beware of their used VHS and DVDs. I purchased a certain collection and when i got home the discs inside were not the movies advertised on the box. Infact they were rewritable DVDs or a bootleg that someone had burned and printed out a fake label for at home.

This shop is absolutely wonderful and spooky from there staff, to there collection of collectables and one of a kind items.The space is just right for them and guests to interact with each other and dosnt feel crampt at all. All and all I must say if you love horror.This horror freak is for you.

Neat little shop for fans of all things horror. Art, movies, books, costumes, figurines and action figures, toys - theyve got it all. My only complaint is that things they post on FB seem to sell before I get a chance to buy them! Just be sure to be patient in looking for the shop. Its tucked away in a little corner of a strip mall off the main road. Look for the big white Hearse.

I discovered this little gem of a horror movie collection shop one evening when I was headed to my local massage parlor for a good ol fashion rub-N-tug with a happy ending from miss yumyum. Sadly they had closed early for a private party. So I ventured in to be greeted by a gentleman named Eric who I later found out to be owner operator. They have so much new and old movies on several formats. Lots of do dads from action figures to video games. Great local made creep show style artwork. I will definitely visit this store again. Oh also has a old Hurst outside as a billboard.

Horror Freak is finally where it belongs!I loved the idea of a horror based store, but its original location (where The Thrifty Pirate used to be) was just far and small enough that making a sperate trip there just didnt seem entirely worth it when we were in the area.But now, being in the Vintage Plaza between Vintage Freak and Retro Madness, this store is perfectly situated where we can visit and shop there conveniently, and thats key for a niche store such as this one.If youve never been, here is a breakdown of what to expect. Youll see a little over a quarter of the store is made up of coffin shaped shelves filled with horror movie /shows DVDs, VHS tapes (for you nostalgic types), and Blu-ray discs.The rest of the store is filled with various memorabilia like action figures, statues, decor, props, etc. with a small collection of books.Probably my favorite part of visiting Horror Freak is the amazing original horror-ific art for sale. There are paintings, prints, and even masks hand created by some of the people that work there.Anyhow, if youre a fan or horror or just like to visit unique stores then Horror Freak is worth your time to check out.
