I really enjoy the space. Nice and a lot of light. Coffee and food is delicious, the breakfast burrito gets my thumbs up.
Have been here a few times with my family. Love the clean aesthetic vibes with big bright windows and lots of greenery.Have ordered a few different seasonal drinks and my husband loves their iced mocha. We have also enjoyed I yes the food weve ordered, their tacos are on point.
Trendy coffeeshop with a cool, modern aesthetic. They have a great tea menu - I ordered the Tumeric chai (with spicy chai as opposed to sweet chai) and it was AMAZING! The have a full menu and also serve beer. There is plenty of seating and its a great place to get work done (if you dont need a quiet space as they have music playing pretty loudly, but I loved the tunes so I didnt mind).
Such good food and coffee! Employees are so sweet too
The Swiss watch of coffee shops - Makeworth Market is the central hub for all things coffee and truly knows the meaning of the word aesthetic. The Makeworth team has the finest attention to detail, the upmost dedication to excellence, and serves every customer like theyre the first. Here youll find the best selection of espresso, teas, and quality eats to choose from. Makeworth also serves beverages outside the world of coffee, I highly recommended their very lucrative beer parlor as a start. All in all, Makeworth offers great quality for a decent price. Check out their website to learn more about their mission, perhaps even head over to Instagram to see the most recent Makeworth updates
Why are the walls so white? Kinda looks like a hospital. Trendy covid modern vibes.. not the coziest cafe around. Overpriced.
Makeworth is a large indoor cafe serving craft coffee and beer along with a small menu of breakfast food. The air conditioning is nice on the tare hot days in Bellingham. Its a good place to hang out for groups and single individuals alike.
Great atmosphere for studying, working, and chilling. They have very good pastries (I love their buttermilk biscuits) and the food is also quite good (breakfast tacos have great ingredients). The staff are friendly, remember your name and are engaging. The space is really airy and well ventilated as well. Important thing these days!
Truly a cool spot. I can tell they put some great effort and thought into it. Only 3 stars because it is clearly a university student demographic with loud (ahem, distracting) music. Its advertised as a work space, and theres no way Id get much done here. Good food, friendly service, quality goods. But not a peaceful or relaxing environment.
Good atmosphere, but the pace is incredibly slow. I understand a a wait time when it’s busy, but 20minutes for a coffee? I’m watching the baristas work and they have no sense of urgency. I can’t justify the wait time
Great breakfast tacos and friendly staff.
Really good coffee, really good atmosphere. Wish they were open longer throughout the day, but that just makes it more of a treat when youre able to go :)
So cute! The atmosphere is awesome and the staff of super friendly. I got the spicy chai and it was super good but be prepared for the spice. I wasn’t and it when right up my nose! After I got over the shock of that it was one of the best chai’s I’ve ever had! 10/10 would visit again!
Hella viiiiiiiiiiiibes, good (not unforgettable, but good) coffee, and at noon on a Thursday, it look more than 15 minutes from when I ordered an espresso to actually get it. Crazy lack of urgency. I hung out and did some work, and watched basically every one else wait... and wait... and wait for their coffee. Hit up Camber if you want coffee on the go, hit up Makeworth if you want to chill and put out the vibe?
This place is my favorite coffee shop in town hands down. The food is tasty and the employees are super nice.
First time here, had to leave a 5 Star review! Their specialty Rose coffee is absolutly delicious. I had no idea roses and coffee paired pretty well! We looked around the place and noticed that almost everybody was eating a cinnamon bon so we ordered one. It was by far the tastiest cinnamon bun I have ever had, as fresh as the Farmers Market bakery! A fancy place to come with friends!
First time coming in: instantly super overstimulated by the boujee white aesthetic, we belong together clearly does not include neurodivergent people. I got the strawberry rose white mocha to-go for $6.25 (very pricey) and it was the worst drink I have EVER had. Not only did it have zero flavoring in it and tasted like sweetened chalk, they put actual rose petals in it...TONS of them. Maybe that would look nice in a mug, but having to spit out tons of rose petals in your to-go drink is absolutely disgusting and uncomfortable. I would give zero stars if I could, I have no idea what they were thinking. I want my money back.
Good food and drink, friendly and helpful service. Will definitely go again!
Kind of like stepping into someones Instagram feed - a very clean and carefully curated feel. Coffee, toasts, salads, and bakery items. Lots of seating. A great place to sit and visit or work remotely for a bit. Loved the peanut butter and banana toast. Tried a special coffee - mint espresso tonic - it was light and refreshing and very memorable. Will for sure be on my regular list for coffee house options.
Wait time for this spot was exceptionally slow and my boyfriend agreed. Our coffees were lukewarm and it took a minimum of 20 minutes. 2 stars is for the decor of the space because it was lovely. Kudos to the interior designer. Ultimately it was a let down and I was looking forward to visiting from Seattle. Will not be back.
Great coffee shop for working and studying.
Pretty good coffee! Makeworth is a must-go in Bellingham.
Coffee here is wonderful quality! Didn’t want to go in at first because it looks like an Urban Outfitters but the decor grew on me and now i love wearing scarves.
Its a very nice business and everything they have is great. Only gripe is its noisy and super busy most of the time I go.
This place is such a nice vibe!!! The baristas were so sweet and the drinks were phenomenal!
Coffe is excellent, the gf coffee cake is out of this world. The staff are sweet, kind, and engaging. Ambiance is unbeatable.
Okay this place is absolutely the cutest BUT I have not visited this place for since December because every time I have tried coffee there it was just plain gross. I never finished any of it and it was pretty pricey for something I would just end up spilling out. I do love the aesthetics here and its a nice place to get your work done but after throwing away more than $100 on their coffee I had to take a break. I am hoping that their beans changed and I will be going in sometime this week to give them another shot.
Bougie as all hell and I love it! I had a latte and cortado - both were excellent. The atmosphere is nice and calming, great view of State Street, lots of open space and daylight coming in through the windows, airy and calming with great music choices. Pricing is not too bad either, considering its a pretty faincee joint, too.
A simple and modern coffee home where creativity flourishes. Plenty of room to socially distance. Brandon and Sergei are truly are masters of their craft. Birthplace of my love for oat milk honey-lavendar matchas. Thought and intention in every cup. Love the message we belong together as the staple point of the wall -- a great reminder to us all during this time.
You guys gotta get new coffee cups. i spilled a quarter of my capp into the plate it came on walking back to my table. i watched fellow poor souls walk timidly back to their table cautiously carrying their coffee. your employees hate them. drinking out of them is difficult. they are not designed to be ergonomic. you can afford to buy new ones. nice space. food meh.
Absolutely love this place. The staff is really friendly. Love them all. The atmosphere is clean and they take pride in their drinks and the cleanliness of the store. They have standard, and original coffee drinks, as well as a selection of beers/ciders on tap, and wines. They also have a good variety of pastries and food to order from.
Great coffee and really kind baristas! I come here every time I am in town!
Great open space with a west coast modern chic vibe. It maintains a level of coziness that keeps you lingering. Perfect spot for a friend meeting or a quick work session. The coffee is more on the bitter side of flavors, so not my favorite in town. The decor and good music is what really draws me there. Its great to see a cafe like this in Bellingham. I hope it stays for keeps.
This place is AMAZING! Beautiful design, delicious products. I was most amazed at the customer service- above and beyond. One of the owners helped us and he went out of his way a few times to make our experience great and with accommodating us with our little kiddos. Great place to study or meet up with friends. Great quality coffee, food and dessert.
Excellent mocha, quaint environment. First time here, and I was extremely impressed with the drink, and food offered. Their no -food gift items for purchase are very unique, and simple. Lots of natural light. Two levels of sitting to choose from. Two sides on the upper level. It was busy this day as free coffee was being offered.
College coffee bar nice
Tasty pour over coffee. And I felt comfy and safe with the covid precautions taken. Highly recommend.
The space and decor is phenomenal! Great vibes, customer service is great, pastries are delicious! Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the pour over. Bitter and funky tasting, probably too fine of a grind, seemed to be near the consistency of an espresso grind when I saw the ground beans. The two other drinks I tried from friends were fantastic though! :) overall pleasant experience
12oz only size drip, $5.00.
Their autumn latte changed my life
Love this new spot! Place is awesome, plenty of spots to post up and get a little work done or just relax. Coffee and pastries are delicious, havent tried anything else yet. Also got the chance to meet the owner and his family, so nice!
Descriptions didnt match what I knew of the past.
Want to know the quality of a coffee shop? When you visit a coffee shop for the first time, always try their drip coffee first. This place past the test! Great smooth drip coffee. The location is a plus and huge space. I believe they have some small music event going on during this time so probably why its so big for a coffee shop. Enjoy!
The Makeworth Market is an upscale shop offering Coffee, Beer and Hard Ciders and Nibbles. The physical layout is wonderful, open, and airy. The large open space has been utilized well. The main floor is where the action begins. Baristas busy at work making hand crafted coffees, pastries available and later in the day beer and ciders too. The treatment of the walls is great, old brick painted white, with 2 different work station areas complete with online capabilities. The Makeworth Market feels like big city but is located in our ever growing small town. Ill go back and bring friends see you there.
Ice Mocha was delicious, wifes Lavender Latte was something special. Thanks Cory 😉
Great place for coffee, never a burned shot, great place to sit down with a book.
Nice open floor plan and well lit! Also great food and drink.
Loved this place until they changed their hours to close at 7pm. Used to be a nice place to work late. One more thing that keeps Bellingham a sleepy little town I guess!
Great space!! Feels luxurious and fun, with lots of natural light! Had a salad that was DELICIOUS and well worth $9. WiFi was easy to access and there were outlets to plug in your computer at nearly every table. Staff were authentic & friendly. I’ll be back!!
A fantastic place to work from. Staff is great and knowledgeable. Drinks are of high quality and baked goods are unique and delicious. Internet is fast and good. If you wfh and are looking to escape from your home office then look no further. Makeworth!!!One recommendation is, it would be good to offer points for frequent customers. 12 drinks and get a free drink. These days loyalties go a long way. Thanks!
Fabulous coffee! They also have pastries, beer, wine and feature local artists work. The atmosphere is great for reading a book and also hanging out with friends. Lots of seating options. Cant wait to go back!
Excellent and friendly service. Great place to study late and get some coffee at the same time. They also have a great selection of merchandise as well within the shop. Love that there is plenty of windows to look out of.
Beautiful indoor space with an attentive, friendly staff and AMAZING coffee. They use Counterculture Coffee and it is phenomenal... alternative milks include almond and oat (soy will be discontinued soon probably).Plenty of space to find a spot all alone or in a big group!
Good coffee and food, but feels very upscale. Which can be lovely but sometimes is intimidating if you just want a quick cup of tea
Great venue. We had our holiday party there and it was great. Really good coffee.
The vibe inside is super cute. Instagram- worthy setup with open spaces and fun furniture choices. I got an Americano and thought it was pretty bitter, but the cinnamon roll was to die for.
Beautiful place. Looks like European style. Very good cappuccino and sandwiches here.
Spacious and friendly spot to work, study, or meet up. The building is beautiful inside and out. Many drink options, ranging from delicious Expresso to refreshing beer!
Some of the nicest barista’s ever, great coffee and tea.
Overpriced food and drinks, the place is filled with mask-less folks. There is a pandemic going on, guys!
DELICIOUS COFFEE. FRIENDLY SERVICE. WIFI AVAILABLE TO DO WHAT YOU NEED. CLEAN. INVITING.
Very pretty coffee shop! My iced americano was amazing and I was able to get a fair about of work done. My only complaint was the lack of glasses for iced drinks, but they know that and the place is still new!
Coffee is good, it feels like an apple store inside. The internet sucks though and a lot of the tables dont have outlets, which wouldnt be a big deal but it feels like somewhere inviting people to work in but then cant deliver on it.
A well laid out and inviting space. Architecturally interesting as well. Their dirty spicy chai is pretty phenomenal.Im in Bellingham about every other weekend, and I go to this coffee shop at least twice when Im there. They also have a cool collection of goods to buy. They also have free concerts and events, my friend and I stumbled upon a tango class on a Saturday night, which was quite a bit of fun. Also, the employees are incredibly friendly, and good at their craft. Aghh its too good.
If you enjoy being surrounded by pretentious hipsters, this is the place for you! If you want a good cup of coffee/espresso, go somewhere else. I wanted to like Makeworth Market, but after two visits, each of which resulted in an overpriced, sub-par, luke warm cup of espresso, I sadly wont be returning. Go to Caffe Adagio for the best coffee in town. Your taste buds and your wallet will thank you. 2 stars for the atmosphere.
We stopped in on their sixth day open and it was unique. Very large open space with lots of windows. A small shopping area with clothes and things, seemed really out of place. They have coffees, beer and cider. And the they just serve toast with stuff on it. Not really our scene. Very hipster.
This is the kind of coffee + shop that cares about cultivating community. First time in today for a coffee and work and I was blown away by the friendly greeting and speedy delivery of my coffee which was perfect. I can’t drink dairy and there were so many alternative milk options. It’s also my birthday so I shared with the world via IG that I was here and the sweetest lady working brought me over a piece of Vegan cake! Wow! I’m not sure if they talked about the dairy free thing or not, but the gesture was enough to keep me coming back forever. Can’t wait for this to be my new spot. If you enjoy good coffee, creative aesthetic, and a friendly community - this is your place!
Amazing coffee shop, store, appetizer spot ! Love the staff, the coffee, the music, the vibe! Oh!The space is amazing, good internet speed 🙌🏽 5 stars ! Worth the visit! 😉
Nice vibe. Yummy coffee and the peanut butter cookie is to die for.
The atmosphere was clean and pleasant. Pretty pricey, but a nice treat.
One thing I can say about this place - it is gorgeous! Pretty expensive tho... and has gentrification vibes LMAO but check it out, you wont regret it!
Ive lived in Bellingham for years now and this coffee shop speaks volumes to the gentrification and elitist direction is the town is moving towards. I asked for a drip coffee and the person ringing me up proceeded to explain the “hints” in each brew. Myself and my friend got one of each brew, both of which were watered down and had a terrible taste. Not impressed and honestly sad a business like this is gaining so much traction.
Beautifully appointed space, quiet and peaceful. Good coffee and drink selections. Food is a little pricey.
Delicious coffee and a great place to meet with people in a casual and professional setting. Very clean and well thought out for a workspace
Would be a great place to read a book and watch people on the street. Very roomy. Friendly staff.
Visiting the West Coast and enjoyed a fun evening event at this idyllic coffee/wine/beer house (new release of Stranger Things Season 3). Vast craft draught beer selection kept me intrigued for most of the evening, then I switched to the hard ciders. A great variety of flavors and afun atmosphere. Looks like a great place for both socializing &/or getting some work done.
Excellent for coffee and breakfast
The market looked pretty cool, but we came for the coffee and the product left more to be desired.
It has so much aesthetic I feel out of place LOVE their drinks and the sweets! Plus who doesnt like browsing the fun items they have for sale.
Why they offer $200 backpacks and other obsurdley boujee items? Cant tell ya. I can say that they serve exceptional espresso.
