It was my first time going to Belmont Safeway I was very happy to go there to get my money orders the person that helped us was very kind and friendly she had a smile on her face she gave us good service she was doing her job

Just stopped in for a last minute anniversary bouquette, and Maria in the floral department did an amazing job putting one together for me. She made sure to pick out the freshest, most beautiful blooms and put together a gorgeous arrangement while i waited. I definitely lucked out today. Thank you, Maria!

Wonderful Store!! They have all kinds of harder to find products. ie: a terrific range of Keto ice creams and frozen entrees, Tony Cacheres Cajun spice, Cacique Mexican Crema, fantastic cheese selections including Fromage dAffinois, Fontina, Fresh Mozzarella and a wonderful Produce Dept. Look at these purple artichokes!

Always clean and well-stocked. Prefer to drive here instead of the location closer to me after I moved. Shoutout to the pharmacy team and a pharmacy tech there—wish I asked her name. Pharmacy gets super busy during rush hour so try to go earlier in the day if you don’t want to wait in line. Grocery store lines also tend to get long during rush hour. This is a very busy location, so sometimes the promotional items are out of stock if you go late. Just come back earlier the next time and items will have restocked.

I was denied a walk-in flu shot at the pharmacy, where the pharmacist said they dont take walk-ins and couldnt help me because they were going to go on lunch. Safeways own website declares that walk-ins are welcome but appointments are encouraged. Ive never been denied a walk-in flu shot from CVS, or Target, or Walgreens, or Costco. In fact, Ive never seen a pharmacy NOT be excited to offer and give out flu shots to their customers! With the poor customer service I was given today, I will be avoiding their pharmacy in the future.

Noel in liquor department is by far the most knowledgeable expert on wine Ive ever met. He is wonderful and needs a raise he went above and beyond. For years Ive been coming here and he is a major reason why. Not to mention Eric, Joyce, Reinhardt, Shelia, and Sonia. Thank you team for being amazing all these years!

Nice big parking lot, and has pharmacy & Starbucks, plus Wells Fargo ATM! All you need in one!

Needed a couple of items, went to self checkout & much to my chagrin they only offer PLASTIC BAGS. Of course I forgot to bring a bag, bummer! In 2021, it is hard to believe companies still offer plastic as a sole option. Especially a B2C grocery chain like Safeway. Boooooo!

First time there at this Safeway store, plenty of parking large variety of food and they had my coffee creamer that I waited for, for about 3 weeks at the Chestnut and the one and on Gellert they didnt have didnt know when to expect . So I called every other day with no luck. Chestnut store said they had and it wasnt what I wanted even though I specifically told them the brand and the name waste if my time.

Great Store, Staff And Location... The Staff I Met Were All Very Nice, But Me And The Staff Couldnt Find Stuff, Some Simple Some Not As Much, But I Think 1 Of 3 Shouldve Been Able To Find Eggroll Wraps...

You can find most everyday products. Love their take out food area.

Conveniently located in Belmont across from the CalTrain station, this store has all your basic needs. Smaller than the stores in Redwood City or San Mateo, I can find usually most everything I need or want. It doesnt carry a large variety of selections, but it does have some unique offerings. I love the inside Starbucks and deli for a quick lunch or cup of my favorite Chai Tea Latte.

The cashier at the self-check-out was heartless. It was a real turn off.

Love their grocery pick up service. There is almost no human contact during the pick up process. It is awesome. I wish more grocery stores will follow Safeway curbside pick up.

Always very positive environment to shop in!

Overall an okay Safeway. Fairly crowded and severely understaffed. Sometimes the line for cashier goes around the full isle. That is about 10 people waiting to checkout.Most of the times, the person on the self checkout is less experienced and acts as if people are thieves and want to shop-lift.The self-checkout machines are sloppy and erroneous. It flags things incorrectly. Happened several times with me and friends. Then the lady/guy has to come and check. Then move on.

A great super market, clean they provide before the store sanitizing wipes and spray, the employees are always outside cleaning the shopping carts. People here are friendly.

Safeway has everything I want and need for my house and everyday life they restock their shelves everyday and the people there in mind their business no one talks to you unless you ask a question so just mind your business by what you need and get out of there here in someone elses time you delay in them from enjoying their day.so try and have a good day and just go shopping in mind your business

I love this Safeway. It always seems to be well stocked and has great fresh produce. Even though its a little farther away than other Safeways, Ill often go out of my way to visit this one.

A very clean Safeway that was full. No complaints.

Our checker and bag person had nothing to say no acknowledgement when we asked how their day was, impatient when bagging and didnt say thank you, good bye or anything. Like they were in a rush to leave.

Always fully stocked of items I need. It seems they have lowered their standards regarding customer service they dont acknowledge you at the register because all of the times they seem to be in conversation with someone else standing there or with the cashier next to them or on the phone. Twice I had to ask them for the receipt once they throw it in the garbage soon as it came out and proceeded to help the next person, while Im still standing there mind you wanting my receipt.

I used to shop almost exclusively at this store. However, employee friendliness over the last year seemed to considerably wane. Two of the swingshift clerks.at the self checkout machines are not the most sociable. One shopping cart clerk (middle aged white guy with longer hair) engaged me once in a stare down in the parking lot. The store seems less clean and there.have been a couple of times where the Just for U apps were not programmed correctly, resulting in higher prices. Anyway, Im taking my business elsewhere, both to other Safeway branches and a certain competitor across town.

Well stocked, friendly staff and good amount of parking. Kinda crowded at times but they at least try to keep you safe.

This Safeway is alright. Their hot food is depressing. However the rest of the store is pretty good. Employees are not very friendly. Convenient location and they did remodel it.

Belmont Safeway is larger and better stocked than the San Mateo Safeway’s. Not quite as nice as Foster City Safeway but close.

Very clean store and well stocked. I was able to buy all the things I needed to make several lunches, Sushi. Fruit, Pinwheel Ham Sandwiches and snacks. I have come here before and purchased wonderful sheet cakes for parties. Much nicer than some Safeways.

Don’t like this Safeway I was in there shopping right before closing got in line before the store close and then time for the store to close the lady had told us that we all can’t pay for our stuff that we all have to leave because they’re closed..I worked in retail for so long you never do that you let the people pay for their stuff and the people that you’re even in the store to finish shopping to pay for your stuff you don’t kick your customers out

The employees treat us well and your store is well stocked. However, we will not cross a picket line if there is one...treat your employees fairly. We can always spend our money elsewhere.

One of the top Safeways in the bay area. Large selection of goods with great variety of brands to choose from, clean, great staff, open 24hr, well maintained. Saved as my go-to on my way home now.

Best place to buy grocery in Belmont. The staff is friendly. So many varieties available in most of the grocery items. The produce is stocked freshly everyday. Ample parking is available in front of the store. 24x7 this place is a great savior for a visitor like me.

I did my grocery shopping and found what I was looking for, almost everything though. Large packages of pepper jack cheese are not available. However, Coke zero was 3 for $5 so I went for it. I got a large salad for $5 and gorgonzola cheese for $6.99. Comfortable parking. However, dont forget your club card as it really saves you a lot of money.

Rude employee at Belmont Safeway. Tried to get me and my service dog to leave. I recorded him. I have every right to bring in a service animal of any kind.

Its a nice store with friendly, honest workers. I lost something valuable theres and they held on to it so I could pick it up next day.

Great people, service and starbucks cafe. I forgot my phone charger one day and found it there the next. I would recommend.

I love shopping here because they have almost everything I need. Except Starbucks Triple Shot drinks and for some reason udon noodles. They have Double Shot drinks and ramen? Im confused about the increased sales of ramen these days. End of the world? Nah!

Compared to other Safeways, this one is pretty shabby, tired, with narrow isles.

I love this Safeway. Im here once a week and I always see the same smiling faces. Never once in a bad mood. Their store is super clean and they are super helpful when you cant find something you are looking for. This place is always busy but I can see why, they have excellent customer service and great, fresh produce.
