Top notch service. Will rent from them again if I dont just buy one. Quick pickup exactly when they opened.

Me and my wife rented two cruisers Saturday. The staff behind the counter when we came in wasn’t very friendly and did nothing to try and make things right. We had rented a medium and a large on line and when I called them about it they had said it was a large and extra large. I told the guy on the phone that no we needed a medium and a large and he said he would change it. When we came in Saturday we were given a large and extra large bike and told the lady behind the counter about calling in to make sure that we had the right sizes and she just said well that’s all we have. We had made reservations 3 weeks in advance. If these bikes weren’t available then why did the guy on the phone tell me he had it changed and I was good? This place needs new employees or better customer service training. No other bike shop in the area has treated me this way. I give it a two start because of the two guys that set us up on our bikes we’re really awesome. I didn’t catch their names but one of them had a beard with glasses and the other guy had longer curly hair and braces. They were nice informative set the bikes up for us and made sure we didn’t need anything else.

This bike shop has been my go to spot anytime that Ive needed to rent a bike for the weekend. They offer a variety of great quality bicycles and professional staff to assist you in choosing the proper bike and setting it up for each individual. Very fair rental fees as well.I highly recommend anyone in trying out one of the Specialized Levo e-bikes. If youve never rode one you will not regret it.A++

I have always been a huge fan of gearheads! Rented bikes several weekends, bought several clothes and shoes for all occasions and have never had a bad experience. I don’t usually give reviews, in fact never have I given a negative one but today I must so that is doesn’t happen to someone else. I called to rent a bike for this Saturday and the process went as usual, I payed for it over the phone and the employee restated the date to me and made sure everything was good to go. I went to get my bike this morning and they couldn’t find anything under my name. I pulled up my confirmation and it had been scheduled for the Thursday prior, and now I no longer had a bike to ride today. This might just seem like a small miscommunication or a smallLack of effort from the employee to schedule the bike correctly and that is true but what bothered me was how I was taken care of after the fact. I asked the employee if there was any bikes available today and he his words were “Yeah you’re out of luck man sorry” so then I had to prompt him in asking if I’d be refunded and his words were “Usually we don’t, because you were a no show. But I guess I can” as if I was the one putting him out. No offer to reschedule or to compensate, they were just okay with losing my business. Like I said I’m a regular at this company and never had I had something bad to say but I hopethis helps the next person get treated a little better than I was today.

Everyone there is simply awesome and extremely helpful. They go above and beyond.

Excellent experience renting bikes here. Staff was friendly and helpful. On our last day we had an issue with one of the bikes we rented. We called them and literally 30 seconds after we hung up they were there to swap us out with a new bike. We caught a lucky break that their mechanics happened to be on their lunch break on the same trail but still pretty cool!

Nice little store; less than delightful employees at the time of our visit. my wife and I went the entire 20 or so minutes in this store without a single employee offering to help, nor even regarding our presence whatsoever. Im sure they have some professional employee somewhere in the bunch, but unfortunately not in sight while we were there. Female behind the counter was short and seemed to despise her own very presence there. Minimal help, minimal professionalism, minimal good vibe, yo. But hey, they have nice bikes here and thats what matters!...

Very happy with Gearhead and the service we received there. We rented an E MTB bike and with their email containing all the necessary paperwork and their tech having the bike already set up based on the info we provided at booking, we were in and out riding in no time. Prices are very fair.The bike was top of the line and in great condition.Experience was incredibly better than another local shop and I will only go to Gearhead in the future.

Stopped in for some biking accessories and a few of us got measured for saddles, which was hilarious as wife needs a wider saddle! Glad he said it not me ! Haha great store nice vouri clothing products along with Specialized bikes! Bike rentals and knowledgeable good staff ! Recommend

This place is great. They sell and rent specialized bikes. We rented some e MTB bikes and had a BLAST! Even got complimentary beer after the ride. Next time I’m in Bentonville I’m definitely coming back to Gearheads!

Best place in town to rent a Specialized! They have mtb, gravel, commuter, and ebike. Manager and staff are top notch! They know their stuff.

Just stopped by the shop to look around and Taylor and the crew were super friendly and gave us all the recommendations for what trails to check out. Ended up renting some Specialized Turbo Levo SL E-MTBs and the entire experience was TOP NOTCH!

Three stars bc they cut their clothing selection and put in bike rental and a mechanic. They formerly had a great selection of performance clothing for women, right here in Bentonville. The Pinnacle Hills store just isn’t the same. I mean, I’m all for progress, and thankfully North Face, Patagonia, Kuhl and Barbour all have D2C websites, but dang it would be nice to buy those things AND keep some $ local.

I rented an Specialized Levo (ebike) for a trip with a friend. Super cool shop, employees were great. What really made it an awesome experience was that when I had issues with the bikes battery on the trail, I called them and they brought me a new bike to the trailhead, no questions asked. We went on and had a SUPER dope ride.I didnt catch the employees name, but it was two young guys and immediately offered up a new bike. Great experience.Also if you are here, go to the ice cream shop Trash down the street.

Went in there to checkout their place. They were awesome, more than just a bike shop it is an awesome experience! They treat you like you are the most important person that has ever walked through their doors. They were knowledgeable, helpful and RAD! Great shop doing great things for the community! Had some friends visiting from Oklahoma City. They rented bikes from Gearhead Outfitters. It was an INCREDIBLE experience! Taylor, Pecheco, and the rest of the staff went above and beyond! My friend had a little problem with the dropper post on his bike. Called Gearhead and Pecheco rode out to where we were, fixed the bike, and we were on our way again. Amazing! Thanks Taylor! Your team is outstanding!

I am blown away at how helpful Taylor was at Gearhead. We stopped in the store because of my love for all things specialized, Taylor spent a significant amount of time talking about trails and giving us recommendations when we werent even renting bikes from him. He also helped me with shipping a set of wheels home which was so nice to not have to find a shipping store to do this. I definitely recommend Gearhead for all your biking needs while in Bentonville!

Super friendly staff and fast service.

Rolled in late on a Friday thinking they were open. Nope just the employees chilling after work. They still took a few minutes to tighten up my crank arms for me, after hours and not even being a mechanic shop. Service like that I rented a bad a$$ bike from them the next day and purchased some gear when I got back.Great people, great bikes, and great service!

The people I talked to were amazing. Well informed about the biking community and were even able to recommend local hangouts to enjoy. I look forward to renting a mountain bike from them in the future.

We rented 3 bikes here during our stay. The bikes were great, customer service was good/ok. The price was more expensive compared to another shop we rented comparable bikes from earlier in our trip. When I called to let them know we were running a little late (30 mins) there was no mention of their late fee. I am totally ok with paying a late fee since I was late but I would of appreciated a heads up.

This shop has their stuff together! Needed a rental ASAP after my bike broke right as I hit the trail. They got my bike prepped as I was on my way in. I was headed back to the trail in 5 min. Bike was tuned and ran like the specialized it was!

Went mtb biking for my first time, the third day of my trip I rented an ebike from Gearhead. And wow! Uphill climbs, downhills and everything in between was an absolute blast!They guys were really helpful on the local scene (with weather predictions for trails), and absolute blast to talk with!If I down have my own ebike when I return to AR I’d be more than happy to come visit these guys again!

I came to Gearheads last week to rent an ebike for my wife. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. They made sure that we had the best time possible in Bentonville and helped take care of my bike above and beyond what I’d expected after I brought it in with a few loose parts. They never acted like they were too busy to answer my questions and were eager to give me trail recommendations and tips, especially since it had just rained. This will be my new go-to spot every time I come back to Bentonville. Great staff and selection!

Honestly this place is a place I would go only if I couldnt find another place to rent a bike. The customer service was so poor. It felt very much like we walked into a clubhouse that we werent invited to. We wont be back here.

This place has a decent selection of outdoor clothing. I wasnt blown away by price or variety, but in Arkansas we are limited in our selection. I will go here again simply because they are one of the few places in the area that carries quality outdoor clothing brands.

Moving here from a mountain town in Utah, we were pleasantly surprised by the selection of brands and styles at Gearhead. Great service too! They are the reason we’ll buy local!

I’ve rented multiple bikes here for multiple days on several occasions. Ive also rented from Phat Tire and a new rental company Smiley Bike Rental.The goodThe bikes are mostly in good shape - but when you have a problem, they rectify it as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, that doesn’t give you back the ride time that may have been lost and they don’t really care. Their response is, “you had an opportunity to check it out before you took it, you should have caught the mechanical problem before you left”. Well, I don’t know about you but I’m not a bike mechanic so it can be frustrating.The badFirst off, bikes have to be back by 5:00 pm. Other bike shops have later return times. 5:00 is problematic for a whole bunch of reasons.Second, if you’re 10 minutes late they charge you $30. That’s 1/3 the price of a daily rental and almost 50% of a half day rental. It doesn’t matter if you call ahead and let them know that you’re on your way, say for example because you ran out of battery life, had a mechanical, or got stuck behind traffic. It also doesn’t matter if you had multi day rentals when they didn’t have to clean or charge the bikes.Third, they don’t offer group discounts or loyalty discounts, or multi-day rental discounts. When questioned about this they said, “we don’t need to care (about customer loyalty) because someone else will just rent the bikes”.Save yourself some headache and go somewhere else. Phat Tire does an amazing job, cares about customers, and has later rental return times and provides a much better customer experience. The other great company is Smiley Bike Rental. They drop off and pick up plus they are flexible with their rental periods.
