The are free admission but do accept donations at the end on the tour. The gift shop is wonderful and smells great! Bought some jelly & socks. The gift shop lady was super friendly and is passionate about her job! This place is great for weddings as well! The guides are great at their jobs and very well informed on the history. Definitely a must go if you are interested in the Peel history or the Walton history that is involved with the place or just enjoy history!
Extremely interesting local history. The tour guide has an encyclopedic knowledge of the Peel family, the mansion and of local history in general. Its well worth the visit and is free to the public.
My kids and I visited here and it was absolutelybeautiful! We visited on our own and did not go in the house. There was plenty of space to walk around, enough shade without it being completely hidden from the sun, the vibe I got was wonderful and we will definitely be back. My 2 year old had a wonderful time going up and down the ramp and we look forward to picnics there in the future! Also, Deb in the gift shop was lovely, as were the gardeners! Great place to visit!
There are stairs to climb. Light walking involved. The tour goes over the history of the house and the Peel family. Unfortunately top floor is not open to the public. I highly suggest exploring the botanical gardens to see all the lovely flowers.
The guided tour was very informative and the history of the mansion was very interesting.Beautiful house and gardens. So glad that they saved the house and restored it, so the history of the home is maintained for future generations!
We truly enjoyed our tour of the Peel House. I think we were surprised and very happy we took the time to visit.
Can you believe the owner of wal-mart almost plowed this place down. thank god the wife stop them 3 days before it happen. well, i really enjoyed my visit here. all the employees were friendly people that put on a very nice tour. the lady at the gift shop was really nice and great to talk with. i love touring old house and this one now is in really good shape and well loved.
We were met w/ Deb in the gift shop in the old cabin. She was very friendly & informative. Then we toured the Peel home with sweet Nell as our guide. She certainly knew its history! Enjoyed our tour and the gardens! It took almost an hour.
Was there for a meeting in the young rose garden. They had an excellent presentation on growing roses.
Lovingly restored late 1800s house, home of early Bentonville settlers. Available for parties, weddings, reunions, memorials and graduation celebrations. A LOT of history here.
The employees at the Peel Mansion are very knowledgeable. My young kids really enjoyed it. The grounds are outstanding. The guys working on the landscaping are able to answer all sorts of questions.
The gardens were lovely. Lots of regional plants and flowers in bloom. Joan was a wonderful guide.
Price was right. (Free) made sure we purchased items from gift shop. Loved the mansion and the ladies that works there. Very interesting and informative.
What a lovely place to have my daughters 30th birthday party! The weather was perfect and the venue was absolutely beautiful! Everything was just wonderful!
My oldest granddaughter on my oldest sons side of the family held her wedding receptionthere last weekend on the 6th of June, 2021. It went really well and there was a lot of people present. However, the dining area was crowded with table and there is definitely room for some renovation and expansion of the entire wedding facility. PJW
We toured the house today and it was a very nice and informative tour. Enjoyed the history of the house and family. Beautifully restored. Excellent gift shop !
Neat place. garden needs some tending
To much of the same only 30% of stores open
Nice set-up for a wedding reception
Beautiful gardens. Really enjoyed the time I spent here.
Enjoyed my tour of The Peel Mansion!! Mary, my guide, did an awesome job!!Thank you Mrs. Walton, for saving the Mansion from demolition!!😊😊
Every Tuesday I have the Carriage House rented for a meeting of 12-20 people. The gates are always open so I can back my car in as I carry items to my meeting, the chairs are there for me to set up, the temperature is set and lights are on. I highly recommend their staff. If I ever need anything all I need do is ask.
Beautiful gardens and house
Loved the set up and very spacious
Very nice facility and helpful staff.
Very well maintain garden beautiful
We enjoyed our tour. It didnt take long. We had a very nice lady give us a tour. With it being donation bases it was nice. We were there during the winter and would like to see it Spring with the grounds looking nice. There is nice pieces and the home itself has been restored well. Apparently it is also used for various events including weddings.
What a great time we had, from sea life to birds and all in between. You can touch stingrays and get up and close to lions and norwals. The horns exhibit was out of this world, an arch made of horns and a collection of the best mounted heads in American. A must to any outdoors enthusiast. Dont forget to visit Bass Pro Shop, we loved it and so will you.
Was the perfect location for my sisters wedding today! Just beautiful!
We had the honor of being one of the vendors at the bridal show! What a lovely place filled with lovely staff! We look forward to working with them again and again!
Setting up up for a event planner
Awesome place to visit if you want to step back into the late 1800s. From the Mansion itself to the several different garden areas around the Mansion. With the plant diversity there is something new with each season.
We enjoyed the visiting the home very much, but it was more of a self guided tour and it would have been better if the tour people could have escorted us and given additional information on the details of the home. Would have made it so much more enjoyable.
Love the history of the house. The foundation has done a phenomenal job on restoring the house. Volunteers are super!
Beautiful grounds!! I especially loved the little gift shop in the 1850s log cabin, the prices were a lot lower than you would expect at a gift shop. The items were mostly locally made and unique pieces you wouldnt find anywhere else. I was IMPRESSED!!
Friends had their wedding there. Gorgeous area, lawn was beautiful. Could use more shade for the wedding venue was my only complaint.
This is a fun venue! I was here for a work related event. It was awesome to see a piece of Northwest Arkansas history. I personally wouldnt choose this as a wedding venue, but you may!
Great place to learn some history of the area. The Docents were great. They were very friendly and had lots of good and interesting information.
I love the Peel Mansion. The grounds are beautiful and are great for all kinds of events including weddings. The staff are friendly and professional. And the gift shop has a nice selection of Peel Mansion item as well as locally produced merchandise.
If you like visiting historical homes, dont miss this one. So many items actually belonged to the Peel family.
Really pretty place with beautiful gardens. Photography of the inside of the mansion is prohibited except during the holiday season. Most artifacts do not actually belong to the Peel family but I liked how they arranged them to re-create how the Peels would have lived. Ticket is $5.10 and parking is always available for tours unless they are hosting a wedding or a fundraiser.
Wonderful guide and beautiful historical place to visit. Will recommend to others visiting 👍
Mary did an excellent job. My favorite part of the whole tour was a story about the hedgehogs
Attended a Whiskey Festival that was being hosted here. Very cool venue. The building is well maintained and the grounds are clean and landscaped.
Beautiful grounds and very nice tour. Even though it is off the main road you feel like you have travelled back a bit in time. Quite enjoyable.
Beautiful place. Looking forward to my wedding there.
Nice late 19th century mansion with lots of period furniture. Tour was short, but free.
Cute old home with a great historic story and lovely garden. Worth seeing.
The mansion is beautiful and well taken care of. However, we felt rushed and was followed by the docent pushing us along, turning off lights as we went. ☹️
This is a must see if you are in the Bentonville area. The Docents were friendly and quite informative. They also have guided tours. The gift shop was chocked full of fun items.
Peel is beautiful the gardens are peaceful, abundant and informative. Great place to visit or have an event.
A lovely post Civil War Mansion built by Col. Samuel Peel, first Arkansas Representative to Washington after the war. Lovely gardens and a great event/wedding venue.
One of the more affordable venues to have an event, can look quite nice in a place full of history with a great location.
Free, friendly and great NWA county history thats been forgetten. Why because the now big snooty business and staff at the BRIDGES
A wonderful piece of Bentonville history. The mansion is great but the young ladies who give the tours make it special.
Beautiful property. Came here for Sharing Spirits and even with a bit of rain it was an enjoyable time.
I have to admit I didnt really want to go my wife insisted I was surprised I had a great time
