Perfectly messy and cozy. There were a lot of books stacked on the ground waiting to go back onto the already full shelves but that made looking for books that much more fun. They have a HUGE horror section with plenty of Stephen King books. The employee (owner?) was extremely nice and helpful getting a book from the top of the shelf. I will be going back soon!

I love bookshops. This is a nice little one, with full but not stuffed shelves, & I was able to easily find what I was looking for. The stacks of books waiting to be shelves are fun to browse if you want to see if you stumble across something unexpected.

Excellent local bookstore with an interesting and eclectic selection of books. Given the size (just two rooms) its surprising the breadth and depth of what is on offer. The selection is always turning over and there is always a new book or graphic novel to check out. None of the tchockes that the chain bookstores have, just reading material, but that really isnt a problem at all. Its a great place to check out when you are in downtown Berkley and I couldnt recommend it more.

This book store better than bookbeat ! Why? Its clean and orgainzed, not only that the owner has excellant taste, large selection of newly released,and great graphic novels. The large kids room in back makes it possible to shop without hearing ( can we go now ?, Im bored)

Great used book store! Stores like this are few and far between to begin with, let alone with the pandemic. Luke does a great job curating a store full of great literature, nonfiction, and childrens books. Its not like you have somewhere to go out, so buy a book and entertain yourself for hours!

Fabulous used book shop with a huge selection of SF/F, good selection of nonfiction, childrens titles, and graphic novels and manga! They also have small selection of new titles and are happy to order new releases if youd like to shop local for your pre-releases. This place quite a bit bigger than it seems from the outside, the proprietor Luke is friendly and very helpful, and does not mind (well-behaved) canine companions tagging along. Highly recommended!

We love this place and so do our kids. They have a sweet kids section with puzzles and toys. Books are reasonably priced and in good used condition.

This is a lovely little book shop that just opened up over the summer. They have a wide variety of both new and old books, and theres a childrens room filled with childrens books. I think my favorite thing, though, is that if you call or message the Facebook page to ask for a book and they dont have it, they will order it if theyre able and the shipment comes in pretty quickly. I highly recommend stopping in and poking around, or checking in with them next time youre looking for a book. This shop gets a perfect rating just because theyre amazing and its such a nice, welcoming place.

Toadvine Books is a fabulous bookstore - the owner has hosted the book launch and signing of one of our Detroit Working Writer members. The vibe is enchanting, the selection is eclectic and features a shelf devoted to local authors. Every time I go I find something special.

Very good book store. The used books are in very good condition. The variety is great and Luke was very helpful to find books meeting my interest. I highly recommend this independent book store.

Walked in on my first visit to Berkeley and it was the capstone of the visit. Had a chance to talk with the owner and ask for recommendations and could barely put down anything he suggested. Amazing collection and some amazing first editions and out of prints. Definitely coming back even though this is around an hour from where I live! You wont regret visiting this store and your wallet wont either (great prices on everything)! Cant recommend enough!

The book store owner is friendly and informative. They have a back room for children which my son had fun. My husband and I enjoy having a small Dawn Trader near the house. We will be back.
