This is the BEST place to get glasses. Everyone was professional and very helpful through the entire process. The customer service was unbelievable! I appreciate the manager and her staff for taking care of me and picking out glasses that made me feel confident and good about myself. They didn’t let me down so they won’t let you down. I lost my glasses on a road trip and called LensCrafters to ask about a replacement. Olivia was so kind and understanding on the phone. Jesus and Melanie were very helpful and tried to get me as many discounts as possible by checking my vision as well as health insurance and promotions they had. I went to Lenscrafters in Berwyn for a new pair of glasses and was assisted by Olivia Medrano. She was absolutely amazing! She was knowledgeable, professional and very kind. I recommend this branch of LensCrafters as everyone employed there goes above and beyond, they are the best!

Yelled at me for not confirming my appointment by phone, but they emailed me to confirm online, so I did. They claim online wasnt an option and wouldnt explain further, just kept giving me the same scripted response. Otherwise, I like this location.

This place pulled through for me! My child needed an exam for school. We actually originally went to Costco because it was very cheap, but the moment my kid went into the sterile optical area, she flipped out. We didn’t even get to sit down in the reception area before we had to leave. Being that I work and have limited time, I called this location mid-week and they were able to squeeze me in THAT VERY WEEKEND in middle of afternoon to be seen. Wow, what service in that alone!You can imagine that I was very nervous we would have Costco-fiasco part 2 with the kid… well this LensCrafters setup was very warm and inviting. We walked around looking at glasses before we were welcomed to the back to start the exam. Let me say how professional and patient the associates and Dr Suen were to us. The associate spent so long getting the right images of the eye and talking to my child like an equal, getting the kid to trust her. Dr Suen was equally patient and willing to move around components of the exam to what was comfortable for my child. My child hated the puffer machine so we skipped that for example. In the end, we walked out with zero tears, a completed school vision form, and a happy customer. I am so happy they were able to accommodate me! I would be willing to drive back just to see Dr Suen for my own vision exam!

Honestly this was a great dissapointment. This place just worries about the next appointment. Unexperienced with children. If your child needs an eye exam, this is not the place.

The staff made me feel like family, explained everything that was being put into my glasses and what it was for. Overall such a great experience, definitely coming back!

Walked out before my appointment even happened. These people have no idea how to have a transgender client and act like decent human beings. When I tried to explain my name while filing out the paperwork the lady walked 20 feet away from me to the desk to complain about me to her co workers, which is just transphobic. I am now going to Pearle Vision instead.

My first-time experience at LensCrafters in North Riverside, Illinois was AMAZING!!! The moment I walked in the store I was greeted and a warm smile and prompt attentiveness. My salesperson Alma was very professional throughout the whole process. The doctor I saw was Dr. Nancy Suen. She was so patient with me - and funny! I loved her thoroughness when the exams she gave me the explanation of the condition I had involving my left eye. The prices were pretty reasonable to! Im glad I chose LensCrafters for my vision needs!

Great customer service! The associate named Jesus was extremely patient with explaining prices for lenses with and without insurance. Honestly was probably being a difficult customer, but he was extremely patient and knew the answers to all my questions. I had a bad experience at the LensCrafters’s in Oakbrook with how they charged my insurance and ended up paying almost $500 out of pocket. It made me question everything I was doing the second time I went to fix my lenses. Jesus was able to modify the correct prices with my insurance and only paid a little over $300.This is including the most expensive 1.74 lenses and a year worth of contacts. Will definitely be going back to the Berwyn location. Every one is so nice and helpful at the Berwyn location compared to the Oakbrook location.

Ive been using lens crafters for years and this was the worst experience Ive had!

When I called, I was placed on hold for 15 minutes. Okay whatever but as soon as I spoke to a representative and didnt come to a mutual understanding, she gave me an attitude. She told me to hold, which was an additional seven minutes and then hung up. I called back right away and the same representative that was helping me said I was being helped by someone else when it was clearly her. I dont know where LensCrafters get their employees from, but my first impression of this place is not the best. Guess Ill just stay blind.

Dr. Suen was simply amazing. This was my first time ever at a Lens Crafters (I usually go to Pearl Vision but they had no appts until Wed) but LC definitely obtained a new customer. I had a slip in the shower and hit my eye the day before my eye exam and Dr. Suen was so patient and careful with me. She made sure to ask me about my comfort levels at all time and if any machinery was too bright or adding pressure to the area and I really appreciate that care. I felt really safe and valued as a customer. She carefully explained my retinal eye exam results, which put me at ease bc there was no damage, how to reduce the swelling, and even encouraged me to come back if my eye got worse. The front of the store staff were pleasant as well. 10/10. Phenomenal job everyone!

The team here is awesome. I booked a 9am appointment, I was greeted and checked in at the door. A man named Jesus did that eye puff thing and it wasn’t nearly as awful as i remembered. The eye doctor took me immediately after and she was very soothing and took everything i said seriously even though my prescription only resulted in having gotten a haiiirrr worse. Amy and Olivia helped me pick out frames and were soothing and encouraging throughout the process. The whole atmosphere was really great and i felt really supported while i was there. I feel really confident in my choice and i can’t wait to pick up my glasses! thanks team!

One of the few reviews I ever write, but it needs to be done for this location! I was worried about getting a new set of glasses and contacts for a long period of time because I have student insurance through my university. It was a relief when the team here broke down the discount I get with the insurance type I have and made the process as easy as ever this week. I called to double check my appointment and they were ready for me to come in. Easy process really! I cant wait to pick up my contacts and look forward to getting my call to come back in.

So much to say about this place, been trying to make an appointment they have me waiting 10-15 mins on hold called 3 times a girl named cristal answers I don’t think she knows what she is doing ! I even asked if she is busy she states she’s not so I honestly don’t know what’s going on there . I don’t recommend anyone going here my mom had an issue with her glasses as well.

Simply a great team. With being a college student, money is tight but that shouldnt mean that I cant invest in great eye wear. The staff helped me every step of the way from browsing the store, to lens selection, and overall assistance. They even helped me figure out which style of frame to switch up my look. I book my yearly exam on the spot because of the great service.

Very unprofessionally managed, no one returns calls and no one seems trained in customer service. closed down the store due to what? No return phone calls - spent significant money out of pocket (no insurance) will never visit this place again.

I went in for a simple repair, (wire on the frame snapped) which was fixed rather quickly at no cost. Didnt ask for name or proof I bought the glasses there. But started giving me a hassle about not having an appointment and that I should buy new everything due to the age of the lenses. The more questions I asked the more I was given BS about why they couldnt do something.

Dont try to call because they put you on hold forever. I call three times and was put on hold all l wanted was to ask if my glasses were ready becase someone call me.

Hands down the worst lens crafters. I’ve been a client with this company for 20 years. First this location canceled my original exam day of, an hour before because system errors (which was understandable) but then I get rescheduled for 3 weeks later. Today I walk in for my 11:20am appointment with 10 minutes to spare and I’m greeted with a “actually the doctor isn’t coming in today, we’re about to begin calling people to reschedule”. Well it’s 11:10am. My appointment is at 11:20am and I’m inside your building with no missed calls and I’m looking at everyone inside and no one is on a phone trying to inform people before they show up, it would’ve been really lovely to be notified at any second prior to me walking inside. The doctor seems very unreliable. I understand we are in a difficult time, but my glasses are broken and when you can’t see and have to keep being put on standby it’s beyond frustrating.

They filled my glasses with the wrong prescription. I called them to ask about it and they said I have 2 prescriptions. Doesnt make sense since my left eye is worse than my right.

Worst place ever!!!!!! I made an appointment a week ago. I show up and they said “I didn’t have a appointment”. I didn’t receive a call because they took my number wrong. The lady I talk too in PERSON told me one time for my appointment and put me down for a different time. I will never come back here and also don’t come to this location you will waste you’re time. Today I had a very bad experience i called to bring in a pair a glasses my son broke & told me yo come in only to turn me back at the door very rude when I walked in and askd how I could be assisted I told then I was here to get a frame swaped out because mine had broke the lady glanced at my glasses & told me they didnt carry them & I should try somewhere else so needless to say they turned me away at the door never goin back here again

I remember when I first came to this location. This was pre Covid and they were to nice and welcoming. However after Covid the welcoming was gone! Before I could even walk in the second door, a representative ran from the back of the room to the door to stop me and say I would need an appointment to come inside and shop. I told her it’s 5:30 and you guys close at 6:00. All I’m trying to do is shop for some new glasses, I already have a prescription and I shopped with you guys before. She apologized and explained that it is every LensCrafters that you have to make an appointment even to shop. I guess they didn’t want my money.

Had no confidence in my eye doctors ability at all, she did not seem to know what she was doing. I came here because this store used to have a wide range of products, same day glasses service, and competent eye doctors. Thats all gone now, as is any semblance of reasonable pricing. Would not recommend.
