A pair of glasses I purchased was taking longer then expected, i asked for a refund & reimbursement on my insurance. They never answered me or my insurance company, I had the WORSE experience trying to contact them (this is after they assured me they would reimburse me & id be able to get another pair) I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt & not be a Karen. But after months of not hearing anything I had to make a complaint through my insurance company. Everything began mid summer 2020 didn’t get resolved until February 2021 & at that point I was not able to get reimbursed. Not once did they contact me to apologize or work something out for the inconvenience. I was a loyal customer for years..

I’ve been going to Rosin for years and never had complaints. I was relived at their care and precautions when I visited during COVID-19. I believe there was only one or two other patients present at the time and we were all very distanced from each other. They also sanitized machines/objects before I touched them which helped alleviate anxiety I had about the virus. I always have quick and pleasant visits here.

Can never get a hold of the actual office, always get put on hold and someone else from a different office answers then transfers me back to this location and no one ever answers. Takes about 10 times to just to get in contact with them

Awesome experience! There was no wait when I arrived I was seen immediately. Also I notice how throughly the examine room was cleaned before I proceeded into the room to have my eyes check. I been coming here for a few years now and this last time was the worst. I dont remember her name long story short as we finished up she gave me my total that was over 300 my son has astigmatism she goes on to say well thats alot good thing u got.insurance but the way she said it was embarrassing my son was with me and we arent the richest family so that comment she mAde was not professional. I was very upset I didnt go back for my own appointment. Older white lady hope you read this. And be more mindful of what u say to people. Ignorant at that age is sad

Twice already I have had to reschedule the appointment for my son who needs glasses to see! My husband is the one who takes the car to work in construction and rushes home to take our son to the appointment and for being a few minutes late my son is denied to be seen.

Great service and my prescription was perfect! I can see great now. 50 doesn’t have to be blurry anymore. First time wearing glasses and they explained thoroughly of what to expect and how to get used to them. Thank Rosin keep up the great job.

I dont understand how this place has so many good reviews. I have been trying for weeks to get in here because this is the only place near me that takes my insurance. I tried for a few days to call its impossible to talk to someone. Finally somoney answers and says they are booked for the month of July. And they will call me back to schedule an appt for August. I even saved the name on my phone so I would not miss the call. 6 weeks later no call. I just hung up after waiting for over 15 minutes on just hold. I cant even leave a message. Im looking elsewhere. Save yourself weeks of waiting.

I love the doctors here, but the customer service at the front desk is horrible. Always has been. Every time Ive come the girls are having a conversation at the front desk and ignore the patients walking in. However, the only reason that I continue to come is because of the eye doctors. I have been trying to book an appointment for the last month now that theyre taking appointments and because they never answer their phone I always get bounced back to their other locations Oak Park, Chicago, ect. Even The girls at the other locations have tried to get through to them or pass me over to them and I can never get through. Please hire people that do their job. The only reason I will try to come back here is because your doctors are fantastic but please get better girls for the front desk.

Its super corteous to tell me that it costs $70 (after ins.) for the annual contact exam. I didnt mind paying the annual normal eye exam but this was squeezed in without me knowing the cost. I dont understand why the double charge when it takes one effort from the doc to eval. both.Should probably switch over to a smaller private clinic thats more transparent than a chain like RosinAlso, lady in the back that processes everything can learn to be nicer

Everyone was very professional and helpful the only problem I have is the long wait for my glasses, having to wait 15 business days are entirely to long.

My son and I have poor vision issues after seeing the great care my mother received, I had to give it a try. I do not regret my decision with Dr. Ana who has patience of an angel for young ones. Along, with the amazing staff who helped my 10 year old son feel confident for his new pair of glasses. As well for myself, with high vision the embarrassment of thick lenses is always a scare, the staff did an amazing job helping me with my frames. !! Great TEAM AND DOCTORS!

The service was good but would suggest the provide better options for frames and sun glasses. Also, the transition from doctor to fitting for frames was a bit awkward. The person who was to fit me was not immediately available.

The ladies at this location were very helpful, wait time was very short and quick. Although I had to call to make sure my glasses were ready for pick-up, I still received good service. Will be making this location for my future appointments

Been waiting 20 minutes on hold (and still counting), and they hold onto your insurance information so that other Eyecare facilities can’t access that information until you call Rosin to release that information.

When I was changing the oil in my truck before a bowhunting trip, some warm motor oil drizzled in my eyes. I was down to my last pair of fresh contacts and they were compromised with 5W-30. Luckily, I was able to get a trial pair from Rosin the next day, and I was able to go on my trip.They will usually give you a trial pair to get you by, but you must place an order of lenses first.

From now on this is my place to go, they all r very nice, especially the eye Dr.,I had a allergy infection in my eyes and in 2 days was all gone, matter of fact im making a appointment to get my eyes checked I need new glasses

Ive been to rosin multiple times in the last 10 years for basic eye checkups. Finally after years of having 20/20 vision I started noticing this chronic headaches and alrighty vision change.I need glasses, and the process was still very very great. All of the staff is Fantastic.

Out of all the eye care centers I have been too Rosin Eye Care is the only place I trust. Their exams are accurate and not rushed. The only downfall is that they are pricey when it comes to frames. But you get what you pay for.

The Personnel was very helpful doctor listen to what you had to say the only thing that I didnt like is I had to wait for 3 weeks for my glasses to come in and when they came in they werent exactly as I expected I had to send them back its been two and a half weeks since I sent them back hopefully when they come back theyll be correct this time

I dont know how to comment on the experience I had with them yet. After a month, I am still getting used to the new glasses. I still have headaches, dizziness and blurred vision. I had to go back for a second eye exam to get the right prescription.The frame of my previous pair of glasses was wore out and I was in desperate need of a new pair of glasses. I picked Rosin because it is in-network with my VSP eye insurance. I have a particularly wide face, and low nose bridge, so when comes to choosing a frame, I did not have much option. And I couldnt risk picking one frame online. I need to try them on first. There were only two frames that I felt comfortable wearing. I picked the one providing me the most flexibility, such as it has adjustable nose pad, bendable frame legs.After two weeks, the glasses were ready. when I put it on, I immediately noticed that I couldnt even read the sign clearly on the frame shelf behind the optician. The frame is much heavier than my previous one. But I was told I need to get used it for two weeks, just let it have its course. I had to travel right after I got the new glasses. I didnt think much, and took the new glasses with me on the two-week trip.I had a terrible two weeks of dizziness, headaches and burred vision. I couldnt function at all.When I came back from my trip, I immediately contacted Rosin, and went for a frame adjustment appointment with Lori. My skin under the nose pad was irritated and bruised because of the frame. Lori changed the nose pad to a softer one, and adjusted the frame legs. I felt much more comfortable with the glasses. I thought I could see better after the adjustment.However, I still cant see very well, especially at night. One night, I was driving back from a movie, I noticed that I couldnt see the speed limit sign clearly, and couldnt tell the difference between a road and the curb. I almost ran into an accident. This is where I got scared, and I came in for a second eye exam the next day right away.The doctor told me I have 20/20 vision with the prescription, and had no idea why I couldnt see. He hinted that my brain is not like other people, where when you cant see, you just give up, while, I just kept on trying to see clearly, until my head hurts. He also said that I am quite sensitive about my eyes/vision. He did increase the power of my glasses on the prescription, and sent in the glasses again to get it fixed.While I am waiting for the power-increased glasses, I am back with my old glasses, which I am no long used to. I have to adjust to my old glasses for the following two weeks. And the three weeks of adjusting to the new prescription is a waste too. Now I am still having headaches and dizziness. I guess, when I get the newly-fixed glasses, I have to go through the same process again. Thats two months of my life that I will never get back.

NOW, AGAIN TODAY, I PREVIOUSLY CALLED AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAVE THE CONTACTS IN STOCK. I SPECIFICALLY ASK HER IF THEY NEEDED TO ORDER THE CONTACTS AND SHE SAID NO WE HAVE THEM IN STOCK. WELL COME TO FIND OUT I DROVE OUT TO THE STORE AND NO THEY DIDNT HAVE THEM. SHE CLAIMED TO HAVE TOLD ME THE PROCESS WHICH WAS 4-6 DAYS FOR DELIVERY. IF I HAD KNOWN THAT I WOULDNT SHOW UP AT THE STORE FOR THEM. I ONLY NEED THEIR SERVICE ONCE OR TWICE A YEAR AND THE F.S. WAS NOT EFFECTIVE BOTH TIMES.

Ive had my eye exam done here twice already. Unfortunately, I dont think Ill be going back again. I will say that when I got my first pair of eyeglasses from here I was very happy with the service. The girl helped me get the perfect pair. I wanted these Coach glasses but would prefer them in black and she was able to order them for me. They are very good quality as Ive had them now for 3 years or more! She told me the proper to clean them which is with some dish soap and water.However, I wanted my prescription because I wanted to order some glasses online. I wanted my pupillary distance on my prescription. The girl said that would be an extra cost of $25! Thats an exorbitant amount of money! You can do it your self with a ruler! Makes me wonder what other things your getting billed for and theyre overcharging!! Just left with a bad taste on my mouth and the girls at the desk werent that friendly. Like they didnt care about the fact that $25 is a lot to some people. I feel like I was disservice by them. I guess thats why these other online eyewear retailers are popping up.

Very disappointed with this Facility. Staff has no idea what they are doing. Everyone is every where and very unprofessional.About 3 weeks ago my 6-year-old son broke the frame on his glasses (Thankfully I got the warranty) made an order for the fame, paid upfront prior to completing the order and was told it would take 3-5 days. (okay, fine) I taped up his old set. Unfortunately, 2-3 days later the arm of the frame broke again and the glasses fell and the lens broke this time. I made an order and was told an optometrist was going to reach out to me to confirm order. I never received a call. Contacted the facility before they were going to close and was the reception was clueless on my order but were able to make the order and was told 3-5 days, I requested the glasses to be rushed and I would pay the fee needed to get them quickly (my son really needs the glasses to see). about 3 weeks later Ive been contacting the facility to see whats the update on my sons glasses and all I get is that someone will return my call because they show as still in process never received a call or voice message. Contacted the facility on Saturday (03/10) and was told the optometrist is off on the weekends but will reach out to them via email to contact me on Monday with an update. Monday arrives no call from anyone at that center. I contacted the Facility 1st thing in the morning on Tuesday (03/13, today) and was told they would call me back because they show still in process but received something in the mail and it might be my sons glasses. 20 mins later I receive a call (Thats a miracle!) confirming they were his glasses (FINALLY!) and were ready for pick up today. On my way to the facility (20 mins later) I receive another call and they made a mistake. The glasses case came in, not the glasses. The glasses would still take an additional 2-3 days to be completed Advised them that I have a 6 year old with no glasses and not able to focus in school because he cant see the board. 3 weeks and still no glasses. You can tell they just dont care of a minors need for his glasses. Very frustrated, very displeased, Im no longer returning to Rosin Eye Care.

I first came to Rosin 3 years ago and wrote a post on how extremely happy I was with the service there. Well here I am 3 years later with complete disappointment, and in search of a new Doctor. The last time I was at Rosins Eyecare was January 2018. At that time I received my exam. While paying the bill I spoke to the young lady regarding the prices of contacts, and of a particular frame I liked. I told her I could find both on line (and showed her on my phone) for far less than they were there. She explained to me that if I was to buy the frames elsewhere there would be a 20.00 extra fee to make my glasses. I agreed. When it came to the prices of the contacts, there was too much of a discrepancy to match the price. I then purchased both on line. I dropped off the frames, and paid in full the price of the glasses including the 20.00 extra. When the glasses came back, I explained to the young lady that they were not right. She just kept repeating herself ( with attitude like I could not understand her) that I would have to adjust to them. Finally when I told her she either fixed them or gave me my money back she had another doctor look at my eyes. And at that time they realized my prescription was WRONG. They reordered the new glasses (the girl with the attitude was upset that they were doing that) and when they came back they were fine. Now comes the contacts. When I was dropping off the glasses the first time, I seen my doctor. I told him that the contacts just didnt seem right. Could my eyes be getting that bad that fast? He just shrugged his shoulders and said could be. I left it at that. When I picked up my glasses and found that the prescription was wrong for those, I figured the prescription was probably wrong on the contacts too. I had to make an appointment to see my doctor for this. When I did, sure enough the prescription was WRONG. But I was told not to worry they would exchange the lenses I already purchased. I told him that I purchased them on line, and he assured me that would be no problem. HA HA HA no problem...... I received a phone call about a week later from a young lady who once again had a really bad attitude. I dont know if this was the same young lady that helped me with my glasses or not but believe me a really bad attitude. Telling me that she would not exchange my lenses because I did not purchase them there. I explained what the doctor said and she said she would ask him. Another week later, she calls again to tell me no she will not exchange them even though it was the doctors error. I told her I wanted to speak to the doctor about it, so a week later, the doctor called and told me the same thing. I think I got lucky, Lensking, will take the unopened boxes back for a full refund, but not the other 10 lenses I have since I opened the package. And even though it was there mistake, Rosin will not exchange the open packages. So if you do go here, make sure you pay the high prices for the glasses and the contacts and you should have no problem if THEY mess up.Debbie Sidabras
