I am so very impressed with everyone who works at this location! I had a tire that had a bubble and they immediately looked at the tires, realized that both front tires needed to be replaced and quickly and expertly replaced them both. Then the sidewall was blown and they worked with me on quickly replacing the tire and suggested that insurance be purchased for the tires as my child often drives the car. The professional manner in which they addressed everything was stellar. Everyone who works there is kind, professional, well versed, and excellent at what they do. I would recommend this Pep Boys to anyone! I am so impressed that I will be now going to them for all of my car needs!

My husband needed his car inspected, being newlyweds this is his first year living with me so he asked if I had any local auto shops to recommend. Unfortunately cars are far from my area of expertise and Ive always taken it to the Pep Boys on Library Road.I always suspected I could get work done cheaper elsewhere but until today I was unaware exactly how much I was overpaying. My husband was given a laundry list of necessary repairs to pass inspection with the estimate being more than the market value of his vehicle (4 figure range). Long story short, we call his brother who is a mechanic and he tells us most of the repairs listed are not required for state inspection. On top of that some of the required work listed didnt even make sense given the work that has been done on it in the past year.We ended up taking his car to his usual inspection spot even though it is close to an hour away. It passed inspection with no issues! Even though its the only place Ive ever gotten my car inspected in my 10 years of driving, Im never taking my car to a Pep Boys again. Looking at some other reviews, this is clearly not a one-off issue. I understand that businesses need to make a profit, but messing with families personal finances is no joke.

I just called this place because I had a whole in my tire the guy told me I had to buy 4 matching tires because they can’t just put any tire on there which doesn’t make sense to me I just bought new tires and one has a flat I will never deal with this place trying to rip me off unreal this is why I deal with small businesses because places like this always trying to upsell something

Just moved here and came in here for the first safety inspection given they were one of the best priced. Little did I think I would get a quote for $3000 of repairs to pass inspection. I brought the car home, had a neighborhood mechanic who took a look and found none of the issues identified. I took it to another reputable mechanic and inspector and he also found nothing and passed my car. While the customer service was nice, I am a bit perplexed by their estimate of repairs and question the quality of work. I will not be returning and would not recommend for major repairs or the safety inspection. Likely a decent place for oil and tires.

Terrible service. Kept my car for two days before even looking at it despite me having an appointment, then tried having me pay $1800 for work I know wasn’t needed and got infuriated when I turned it down and said I was taking my car somewhere else. The place I took it to showed me my brake pads and rotors (which pepboys said needed replaced) and they were near perfect! Don’t go here, they’re broke misfit desperate mechanics.EDIT: I looked at other reviews and saw many other people saying they were lied to too! Gotta love it

Went to the Bethel Park store on 09/21/2021 and the Auto parts section of the store was closed, even gated off on the inside ? Only the service area and bays were open, whats up with that ? Very disappointed .

I cant express how wonderful of an experience I had here! As a single mother, I was stranded at a gas station pump with my daughter. Fortunately a friend was able to jump my battery. I called Pep Boys. manager Brad Kramer. He was very concerned and accommodating. I brought my car in and Cody helped me out. He was very professional, informative, and timely. I went next door to Giant Eagle to waste time and before I could check out, Cody called me, my car was done. I will definitely return to the Bethel location.

Went in for a state inspection and came out with a $600 bill for a bearing I didn’t actually need. They either didn’t know what they were doing or were trying to con me. I would only recommend PeP Boys for oil changes and the occasional install yourself part, nothing else.

First and foremost, the customer service at this Pep Boys location is excellent!!! If I could give more then 5 stars I would. Bob and Nick, went above and beyond to help us out in our situation. They were very kind,attentive, knowledgeable,and accommodating. We live out of state and our vehicle was not running. If it wasn’t for them we would not be able to drive home today.I would definitely recommend this Pep Boys to my friends and family that live in the Pittsburgh Area or anyone passing thru in need of assistance with their vehicle. Thank you very much for the excellent service!!!

Fantastic Diagnosis and Service! I have a Nissan Armada which I took to the dealer and to another place but neither party could spot the issue with the A/C. But, this Pep Boys location spotted the issue without any sweat! I was highly impressed and the cost was very affordable. I bring my other cars here as well and always I have found them to be very polite and helpful. I really appreciate their honesty and skilled resources!

I had an amazing experience just last week at this location. Fantastic customer service by Bob and Nick. They made sure my vehicle was in perfect condition and that I was highly satisfied before I left the shop. I had 4 tires, alignment, oil change, emissions and inspection and some warranties for a great price. They were up front and honest with me about my vehicle and didn’t tell me anything that needed done that I didn’t already know. I would highly recommend Nick or Bob for your vehicle needs here!

I got ripped off. Paid $200 to be told nothing was wrong with my car. They turned off the check engine light, and on the way home (a five minute drive) my car broke down. Various problems including several problems with my fuel filter that they failed to notice. Have reached out multiple times in different ways to try to get my money back and have not had any response.

Very meh about this place. I took my car there once cause my breaks were very squeaky. The told me my breaks were fine but they could replace them for $500. Thanks bud - I’ll keep squeaking like a mouse and save the $500.

I have had multiple bad experiences with this place, I bought fallen tires paid over a thousand dollars to get top of the line. Tires wore out 15k miles prior to warranty. They gave me a very small partial refund and talked me into another set of tires. I did that and not even 7k miles in one tire shows a defect where the belt broke and the tire has a bulge. I was told they wouldnt warranty it and that I would have to purchase another tired and pay for install for another total of $200. All in all no customer service, horrible prices, and no care for return customers.

Back in February, I car broke down in the area and the tow driver suggested this branch was good. I went to pick it the next day costed about 350 to fix the problem. They forgot to turn off the check engine light off but wasnt a huge thing. Now today, my car broke down again. It showed signs of the same problem as the last time. Had taken it to a mechanic that was close to where I live. They told that work that was done in February was shoddy at best. And all the parts that correspond to the problem were damaged need to replace because they didnt do the job right. The work in total is going to cost me over 900 dollars to get the car to work properly. Im pretty livid at this point. If you want the job done right, go somewhere else.

Went there because I had a nail in my tire and needed assistance. Was told they could not repair it so I bought 1 new tire and they refused to install it unless I bought 4 new tires. Very upset because I needed assistance and they wanted me to buy 4 tires. I am a senior citizen and did not need 4 tires, I needed one. I will never understand that and will never use Pep Boys ever again.

This was a delightful surprise. I had called ahead to get a screw removed from my tire and get it patched. Service was great and the whole process took less than 30 minutes. Erin was friendly and helpful.

Customer service is nonexistentI dont mind waiting when a store is busy, but when I was the only customer in the store I realize after waiting and waiting at the counter I was being ignored. One of the two workers was on the phone ( ok Ill give him the benefit of the doubt that he was taking care a customer) but the other was at the end of the store on a computer I watched him as he looked over at me several times only turning back to the computer. After several minutes He again looked at me, walked away from his computer only to walk toward me and stop at another computer and started using it. At that point I left what I was purchasing on the counter and walked out . With a competing store right across the street, one would think the pep boys would want their employees to make the sale with every customer. So between the price of touch up paint and a battery Your competitor made an easy $160. and a future returning customer.

Scheduled an appointment 3 weeks ago (in August) to get my car inspected. 3 hours later they call me with a list of things that need to be fixed. Agreed to it and came back to the Pep Boys and waited another 2 hours before I ask the staff the status of my car. In those 2 hours they neglected to notify me that the brake pad rotors for my car that they had delivered by another Pep Boys didnt fit my car and that they would need to order them. They also inform they theyll need to order a new drivers side mirror since my current one was cracked. After I finally ask them about the status of my car do they finally call about ordering the rotors and the mirror. The service manager then asks me to pay up front for everything. I figure, sure, Ill be back Tuesday probably (when they said the mirror should arrive by as the rotors should arrive by Sunday) so I can get everything done at once and my inspection stickers. Visit 1 and 6 hours gone. Visit 2 I come by after work on Tuesday to get everything (rotors, mirror, stickers) and when I pull into the parking lot they call me saying that a prior appointment ran late and that they need to reschedule for Thursday. Fine, 30 minutes wasted but Ill come back Thursday. Thursday rolls around (Visit 2 Part 2) and 3 hours later theyve put on the brake pad rotors but then tell me the mirror they ordered doesnt fit after I again have to go the service desk and ask about my car. Im now extremely unhappy and the service manager is nowhere to be found. I say Ill be back then for my mirror (Ive already paid for everything) but once I drive off I realize they took off my old mirror (cracked but still useable) and left nothing on my driver side mirror (completely useless). I call them and tell them Im coming back for my mirror and while I was being transferred one of the employees goes, what a nut. Way to go insulting customers while theyre still on the phone. I get back to the Pep Boys (Visit 3) to find out theyve managed to smash my old mirror so its in a million pieces and completely useless so they put on this piece of reflective plastic material until my new mirror comes in. Its completely useless for seeing out of as the plastic reflects nothing but vague shapes. I call the service manager who is unapologetic and can only offer pathetic excuses of this is what happens with aftermarket parts. Im sorry I thought I paid you to either have the knowledge or to be able to find out the necessary information. They finally manage to get my mirror in on Wednesday but I had prior commitments so I got it Thursday (Visit 4). The service manager does not even bother apologizing or showing up and he left one of his employees a $25 gift card as a way of making up for the inconvenience. After spending over 10 hours at the Pep Boys and even more hours of frustration dealing with him and this whole situation thats the only consolation they can offer. Poor service, rude staff, and endless hours wasted. Avoid this Pep Boys at all costs.

We brought our car here for inspection. We came to pick it up and they gave us a long list of items to repair and quoted us more than $3000! Ridiculous! We brought the car to Jiffy Lube and they didnt tell us to fix nearly that many stuff in order to pass inspection. My husband was able to buy some of the parts online and do some repairs himself, and we brought the car to a mechanic to fix a major part for $220. We spent a total less than $1000 to repair the car. However, at least pep boys gave us an idea of what to fix, but their quote was ridiculously high.

If I could rate it less I would! I bought a used vehicle and went to get an oil gasket fixed. I paid $390, which I waited 6 hours for them to do..... Still was leaking oil. took it to a good buddy of mine and said that they didnt fix it. They put a temporary fix on it that took about 20 minutes of labor to do and a $25 part. These people should be sued

Please mind you I did not have service done at this Pep Boys. I will say this that I will never have service done at this Pep Boys or any other due to how rude a saleman (Brad) was to my wife on the phone. He was not only rude but insulting.So we bought a Honda Pilot off of a gentleman. He forwarded me every single service record he had. Every single one of them was at Pep Boys in Bethel Park. The $200 a piece Michelin tires balded out prematurely after a year and half driving the vehicle. That particular model had a very good warranty on them. My wife was unaware at the time of calling (to inquire about a warranty prorated) That warranties are not transferable. God forbid she did not know that!The sales person Brad continued to interrupt her every time she made a statement and multiple times kept saying, and I quote’, “your just trying to get stuff for free”. Several times he made this offensive claim.So be it. Life goes on we decided to get four new tires somewhere else. That’s fine they weren’t under warranty but there is no reason to insult a customer. Especially a woman who is just inquiring. Brad you are exactly the reason I stay away from franchise shops...and your exactly the reason I will never recommend yours to anyone. So kudos

In late August I went to pep boys to get my car inspected. There were several things that needed to be replaced/fixed due to the state inspection testing criteria. I was told the car would be done in a day. Two days go by and Im told that the taillight needed replaced. The part didnt come in yet and it would arrive and be installed the next morning. By noon the next day I hadnt heard from them. I went in and they said the part hadnt arrived. They decided to call their parts distributor so they could give me a ballpark of when the car would be done as I had expressed I had to leave town early the next day. It turned out that one of their delivery employees called off so no parts were going to be delivered anywhere in that delivery-zone that day. No back up driver, no back up plan. They had to send someone to the distributor to get the part. Five hours later I get my car back with the trunk felt and rivets not even put back as they were. I had to go back in and have the mechanics find missing rivets. Im now sitting in a different repair shop 3 months later because the same tail-light they replaced already has a burnt out bulb. Terrible service, terrible parts, terrible value. I will never be returning to here, or any pep boys, and will suggest no one else does either.

Terrible service experience in the repair shop on 6/17/2017. Took my 2006 Malibu to have the accessory/serpentine belt replaced. That part was done satisfactory but they failed big time when I paid my bill and they neglected to mention that my car was barely running with the check engine light on. Never offered to look into it to see what the problem might be. Learned my lesson wont be back

This store is the only one that had a tool I needed. Although it was the wrong length needed for the job which they told me I should be able to do. The wouldnt let me return the tool after I put it in the bolt. Even though I was unable to use it as they told me I would be able to.Go somewhere else if you want quality service and help.

Nick and Bob always go above and beyond to help their customers. I have yet to find a shop that cares as much as the service advisors do here. I recently received a great deal on high end tires as well as brake pads, in part due to being a returning customer. The benefits of being a returning customer here are fantastic. I usually receive money toward my new tire purchases as my old tires have a prorated warrenties which I also purchased at this location. Also be sure to ask about the lifetime alignments!

Needed rear brakes only, average cost nationally for single Axel is 250 to 500. I had only rear axel done, total came to 800$ . Car was on rack and disassembled so I had no choice. Never, ever, ever again will I go to a pep boys. 800 for rear brakes is nothing but a rip off .

Moved to Pittsburgh from out of state and this shop was recommended to us. I have been taking our cars here for the last 3 years without issues. This year, my car failed safety. Its bound to happen, it is an old car, the surprise came when I got a quote for $700 to fix the rear brakes and one inner tie rod. As I got to looking at the quote, an optional warranty was added along with the platinum brake package...did I mention my car was old and I was never asked or given the option of choosing which package I would like or if I even wanted a warranty? Had I just gone ahead with having my car fixed the way they had written up, I would have spent hundreds in unnecessary packages and warranties. We changed the brakes ourselves (for under $100) and took our car to another shop and oddly enough...nothing was said about the tie rod and it passed. This lack of transparency on Pep Boys part just lost a customer.

So I make a appointment online to get a oil change at Pep Boys on my lunch break. I decide to call them and make sure they can do my style of truck....the guys tells me yes not a issue however your truck takes 6 quarts of oil and a bigger oil filter and there will be a additional charge. Which I was fine with that. So I take my truck there and they proceed to tell me that I would have to wait a hour and a half for a oil change??? They proceeded to tell me that I have skid plates on my truck that are very heavy and hard to take off and that is why it would take so long? So I said thats funny I took it to Pennzoil last time and they did not have a issue with my skid plates and was done in 10 minutes. (hmmm skid plates have what 4 bolts and weigh 20 pounds maybe?) He proceeded to tell me that well then Pennzoil did not take off your skid plates when they did your oil change? I said ummmmm yes they did I watch them? I took my keys and left Pep Boys. I went straight to Pennzoil and got my oil changed in less than 10 minutes! OH YES they took my skid plates off too!!!!!

Takes 3 hours for just brake inspection. Bought a valid coupon for free brake inspection with Pepboys, but not accepted telling it is applicable only with brake service. And even the recommendation provided for brake inspection is a total crap. Waste of time and money !!!!Never seen such a worst service location in lifetime!!

Worst place ever!!! They treated me like I was so stupid...I bought 4 tires and a front end alignment....cost me 663.00, as I was paying the cashier tells me you get road side assistance since u bought 4 tires I tell him I already have AAA, he never told me I had to pay for that, when I realized I paid for it I asked them to refund me the 65.00, they told me they couldnt. .....such ignorant guys work there, I would, NEVER go back!!

We tried to set up an appointment for a car inspection for Friday for our 2016 Honda CRV, and it was confirmed. Then the day before the appointment I got a call saying no one would be there to inspect the car on Friday, and that they were already booked for Saturday, so my only choice to get the car inspected on the weekend (my wife and I both work Monday to Friday) was on Sunday. We dropped the car off Saturday night for an appointment Sunday morning at 9am. At 4pm Sunday we still hadn’t heard anything about the car, so I had to call the store and ask for an update. I was informed that there was no report on the car yet. My car had been at the store for almost 24 hours and over 7 hours from my scheduled appointment time. Plus the store closes at 6 on Sunday, and we needed to have both of our cars in order to go to work the next day. 30 minutes later we received a call telling us that we needed 3 new tires, so we had to scramble to price affordable, appropriate tires for the car and hope it could be done and inspection completed in 1.5 hours before the store closed. We had the tires installed and it was 530 and we hadn’t heard anything from the store yet, so we drove over to make sure we were there in time to pick it up. On our drive over (we live within 10 minutes of the store) we were called 2 times to ask where we were at. Both times we said we were on our way (again this is within a 10 minute drive) and were made to feel like we needed to hurry up even though we arrived at the store 20 minutes before closing. The next day the tire light was on in the car. All 4 tires should be at 33psi. The back 2 were fine, however the front drivers side tire was at 37psi (4 over) and the front passenger tire was at 27psi (6 under). After spending approximately $800 at this store you would hope every little detail would be done right. Will not be coming back to this store! It’s a shame because the Pep Boys in North Huntingdon where we last lived was fantastic, so we were hoping for more of the same since this store was in another nice area. Very disappointed.We had great experience with previous Pep Boys locations in North Huntingdon, PA and one time in West Mifflin, PA. However, we recently moved to South Park, and brought our car to the nearest Pep Boys store and were not happy with our experience in any way. Scheduling, pricing, service time, and service in general were not very good at all. It was very disappointing because now we need to find a new store to take our cars to after we had been happy going to other Pep Boys locations over the past several years.

They didnt tighten the oil filter after an oil change. Month later all the oil leaked out and engine almost blew up. The service dept is run by a clown. Do not risk it. Go somewhere else!

Looked aroind for a place to fix my clutch. Got several pricea and the quote here was tje best. Total bait and switch. Did price put everything. Needed additional parts that cost me 150 more. When i picked up the car it sounded like a tractor trailer on air brake. They had punched a hole in tje exhaust and assumed that i would not notice. When i took it back used every excuse in the book. Said they would order part and call. Never did and when I called them said they had called my cell twice. Not that I could find the call in my tracker or any message. What a mess! Still trying to get fixed right and now the starter has died.

My daughter got a flat tire on the way to our house because of a broken valve stem. I took the tire to Pep Boys and I was told they were too busy and to come back the next day. I took it to another tire store at the same location and they repaired it even though they were short staffed. I know who will get my future business and it isnt the Pep Boys.

And even tho my brakes did not make the mileage or months they should have, to make the warranty void. They Have and will not aknowledge there service is poor! (sent via my husbands computer)On January 10, 2015, a Saturday, I went to the Pep Boys Auto service in Bethel Park, Pa. I went to have two headlamp bulbs replaced in my Kia Sedona. The day before, Friday, I called the business and got an estimate of cost, which was $43.00 for each bulb. On Saturday when I took the van in they told me it would cost an extra $60.00 for the job. I questioned them as to why … the employees didn’t know I called the day before … I was given the $43.00 estimate and wanted an explanation as to the reason for the increased cost. They said their book said that estimate and it took over 40 minutes to install the bulbs, and also that they had to come up from the wheel well to do it. I advised them I watched them do it that last time and they came in through the hood. I asked to talk to the manager who repeated the same above claims the employees made. I then repeated my knowledge and information of the repair and told him that I was being cheated and ripped off because I am a woman: I was truly upset by this! I also advised him that I had just watched a YouTube video showing how simple it was and it only took five minutes and eleven seconds to do! The manager then said, I quote, “Ok, we will eat it.” Why should he have to eat it when it was overpriced purposely when I arrived to get the job done, and they assumed I didn’t know anything about the price of how the job was done? I went there to fix a problem with AC. When I explained the problem, I have been told that the problem was related to the electrical system NOT the AC. They charged me $50 to check the electrical system and turned that there was NOT any issue with it. It was the AC. Its unreal what a rip off this place is. They replaced anti-roll bar links and charged me for an $85 wheel alignment. The thing is the anti-roll bar links in no way affect my wheel alignment. I also dont know why they had to do a rear wheel alignment when the work was done on the front of the car. Idk how its even legal to rip people off this badly.

Went in to get new wiper blades they showed me how to put them on and what blades i need and got my battery checked and they told me i need a new battery. droped of the car had it back in a hour. i will be going their from know on.

Dropped off a tire to be repaired. Got my car back, but they gave me back the wrong spare! Didnt notice until I got a flat some months later and the lugs didnt quite line up. A real bad experience.
