Let me start by saying that I have had many chocolates in and out of the U.S. These were some of the best chocolates I have ever had. Are they expensive......yes. Are they worth it......yes, yes, yes! I have not been impressed by chocolates in quite a long time. My wife is also very happy we got them. We each got 6 chocolates. Every single one was amazing. Perfect blend of flavor with the chocolate, without being too sweet. The chocolate itself also has a great flavor by itself. Aniah was super friendly, and helpful. After getting some coffees and chocolates, we were on our way. If you are anywhere near this place, you must stop in and get some of their chocolates. The coffee was not bad either.
I like the chocolate they have in this store it so good. They even have dark chocolate for people who have allergies watch is a good thing for me. Also they people are so friendly and welcoming. I also find vegan strawberries too watch is wondering. Is hard to find. I know people don’t like this place but I was happy with my Oder.
Had a great mocha latte. One of the best parts of my trip! Would come back when in area again!
I visited this store after I finished my visit to Maryland Stamps and Coins which is located across the street. I had not eaten lunch, so I ordered a large mocha latte and a box of chocolates for my sister. The latte was delicious, and the staff was delightful. The latte was made with the chocolate sauce made at the store. I will be back.
A true hidden gem in Bethesda. For the second year in a row I purchased chocolate for my wife for valentines. The handmade truffles are great, especially presented in the edible made from chocolate gift box. The chocolate shoe is another great idea - both eye-catching and delicious. The Cafe portion is also good. I enjoyed the excellent Chai latte on one of my visits. If you love quality handmade chocolate, you need to visit Bethesda Chocolate.
Most delicious truffles ever!
Came here at 8 o clock at night for some hot chocolate before seeing a movie. Now this is my defacto spot if I ever want some high quality hot chocolate. Nice service and comfy chairs. I was surprised that they close at 8:30.
Some of the best chocolates Ive ever tasted! Theyre a bit pricey but totally worth it.
This place is incredible. Beautifully designed and their chocolates exquisite. Im glad I dont live within walking distance or Id be tempted to stop by daily.
The chocolates are amazing. I love they are hand made and it’s a local business. I recommend this chocolate if you want to give this as a gift.
It’s a really nice chocolate store. They make really good chocolates. Their coffee is nice, but the hot chocolate is amazing! The only thing is that the hot chocolate is a bit too sweet for me, but the flavor and texture is so good. I think many staffs are friendly and nice, some can show more hospitality.
Great chocolate cool employees
Very kind people...thanks for making this Chocolate Store. From Aria (granddaughter) Thankyou!!
Absolutely delicious.Need I say more. I was visiting so unfortunately cant go back. But my relatives will.
Just LOVED it! Great service, the Chai latte was amazing as well as the truffle and croissant. Quiet, good Internet, perfect for working. Will definitely go back there!
Bugs flying around in chocolate...Bought 2 hot chocolates and they charged for syrup and whipped cream. Syrup charge???
Warm and clean, very pleasant ambiance.
My brother and my boyfriend that lived in MD had told me this place had amazing hot chocolate. However, my bf took me to get some and it was below the usual quality, as he had explained. It was very watered down and didnt have the rich hot chocolate taste I was described. I also got a piece of chocolate with pecans which was delicious! Just wish the hot chocolate was as good as I was told it was... maybe it was bad luck.
Chocolate Galore. Love this cozy chocolate boutique! With so many decadent truffles to choose from, the struggle was real. There were even shoes covered in chocolate! The dark chocolate truffle was the perfect choice as the rich creamy ganache melted in my mouth. The hot cocoa was premade using milk chocolate and a tad too sweet for me. I would go for the mocha next time! I would love to see dark chocolate cocoa on the menu. The seating is nice and the couches are quite comfy. My girlfriends and I lounged around for an hour staying warm and sipping tea and hot cocoa. The basket of pastries like the croissants and muffins arent made in house. They are fine, but recommend eating them within a day. Will be back for more truffles!
Everything is fresh and delicious. My favs are the hot chocolate, the pretzels dipped in caramel and chocolate, the chocolate emoji, the chocolate bark with sea salt, caramel and pretzel! I could go on and on!
Wonderful selection I stopped by for a gift. Staff was very helpful.
Best hot chocolate
I love this place! I work across the street and whenever I need a special treat for someone, this is my go to place! Their chocolate/caramel covered pretzels are amazing!
The chocolates are delicious. Only drawback is that it is a bit pricey. A truly special treat for chocolate lovers!
It smells so good in here. I eat alot of truffles and I can say these are very good truffles too. I cant get over how good it smells in here though yall. Not strong. But delicate, sweet, rich, and balanced. 10/10 would loiter again.
Great locally created chocolates for special occasions, right here in Bethesda. Nice seating area for hot cocoa or coffee.
Very accommodating, beautiful chocolates, and a serious barista behind the counter. Its a great place to meet friends with a third of the traffic that you normally see at Starbucks down the street. Free WiFi included.
Smaller place. Good chocolates! Fun fact: its across the street from a flower shop.
My wife and I stopped in on MLK day and tried the hot chocolate and a few chocolates. They were excellent. We will be back in the future!
The hot chocolate (regular, not Mexican) is awesome. The dark hazelnut truffles and the dark chocolate turtles are great. The chocolate emojis and chocolate crabs are always fun.
Who doesnt like chocolate? Lots of delicious selections, a cozy atmosphere, and great service.
We went in to just check it out and got a selection of single chocolates and hot chocolate. Everything was delicious. My favorite was the raspberry chocolate. They have a great atmosphere, music, and board game selection!
Beautiful Store..good parking..I got 2 turtle patties and 2 pretzle chocolate and caramel patties, both with dark chocolate...wasnt in love ...was like $23.Asked for chocolate caramels, but they sell 6 at a time, and expensive! But they all looked beautiful!
Best hot chocolate I have ever had!!!
These people have no business charging nearly $3 for a chocolate. The chocolate is waxy and bland, poorly tempered, and inconsistently formed in the molds. It is simply not very good, not even on par with something like Sees, and certainly not the specialty item they are trying to pass it off for. Its hard to imagine why they opened a chocolate and coffee house only a few doors down from Tout de Sweet, where superior desserts, confection, and coffee can be had. I hate to see new businesses fail, but its easy to understand why this place is always abandoned.
Overpriced with staff who dont care. Ill give Bethesda Chocolates this: they have the best Hot Chocolate Ive ever had. But at $5.04 for 8oz with only a pathetic squirt of deflated whipped cream on top, it sadly falls into the category of not worth it. The place is staffed by college students who never stay with the shop long, so youll likely be served by someone who doesnt know what theyre doing (even though theyll be very nice about it). Like another commenter I hate to see a small business fail but theres a reason this place is always empty. $31 for a dozen tiny chocolates? Seriously?
The chocolate is rich, silky, and masterfully made. Bethesda Chocolates has an obvious appreciation for the best traditions of chocolate and taste - this small artisinal shop is a must visit!
A very nice space with friendly service. They make a nice cappuccino.
Great spot for chocolate and espresso lovers
Hot chocolate is greasychocolates were ok, not worth the price
Amazing chocolates and specialty coffees! Very friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere!
Im a hot chocolate fanatic and this place nails the ho cho. Rich, creamy, and positively sumptuous.
Tall man at register area was incredibly nice and friendly. Makes us want to return and thats before we tried the chocolates which were delicioso! Looking forward to another trip ASAP.
Very limited selection but packed with flavor.
Their chocolates are outstanding and exquisite; the shop is not in the downtown commercial center but its well worth a special trip.
Its a nice and cozy place with delicious chocolates and teas (havent tried the coffee).
Great service, the staff is helpful, and of course the chocolates are fantastic.
High quality chocolates - smooth and full flavors (not at all waxy!).
Lovely ambiance, friendly service, good coffee, great chocolate.
The place to go in Bethesda for fine chocolate!
Great chocolates...good gift packages
Good chocolates, overpriced and mediocre drinks.
The hot chocolate and raspberry truffles are a great reason to visit!
So cute, but I dont see it lasting. Nobody really there and the price point is so low.
Great staff, decent prices, and theyre very helpful when assembling custom assortments!
Good but way over priced. Young girls are counter were overly chatty with each other.
Delicious truffles and candies with a great staff
Amazing Hot Chocolate, with super friendly staff
Heavenly chocolate! Love the addition to our neighborhood!
Great work place friendly staff
Nice chocolate shops.
Incredibly dull, aloof customer service. Went there later around 8
