I went to North Star Automotive because I know they do excellent work and have great customer service. After my car got damaged and needed a new front bumper, Benjamin was so helpful in explaining the insurance/auto body process. My insurance company quoted me with knockoff replacement parts, but Benjamin was adamant that they pay to restore my car with its original brand parts. He did all of the negotiating and leg work with my insurance and made the process effortless for me. I received an updated, comfortable rental car through a third party they recommend that was delivered right to North Star. Honestly, there was not much I ever had to do and was updated by phone and email the whole time. When it came time to pick up my car, Benjamin spoke with me about what was done and how there was a cost he could not negotiate with my insurance company. He was so kind as to not charge me for this! To top it all off, I had a recall on my car that he had taken care of at the dealership. I had a great experience here and I would recommend anyone to take their vehicles for service. Having a hit-and-run damage to my car at a grocery store parking lot after a recent snowstorm was very disturbing. My husband drove my damaged car around and visited a couple of body shops. North Star Automotive (NSA) was one of them. He came home with a detailed estimate print out - listing everything needs to be done - prepared by NSA’s owner Benjamin Stephens. Ben’s thorough estimates and the way he dealt with my husband gave us confidence. We then contacted our insurance company Erie Insurance for damage estimate. The Erie adjuster also gave high remarks of NSA and Ben, which gave us additional confidence. We proceeded with NSA.The two companies worked seamlessly to provide me a rental car at NSA to make the repair job as painless as possible. Ben worked with Erie within the initial estimate plus additional work/cost needed to restore my car to its original condition.I was very happy to see my car again on the pick-up day. I couldn’t tell that the car suffered damages before.Thank you Ben and NSA for the fantastic job you have done. I 100 percent recommend using this shop for any car issues you might be dealing with. Beyond professional, completely transparent about everything, extremely high standards and quality of work. I was kept in the loop the entire time about everything while Benjamin went to bat for me, refusing to settle for what the insurance company wanted to originally approve (which was subpar parts.) Overall a true delight to have a shop so passionate and professional about the customer not being bullied by big name insurance companies. No contest will continue to have car work and/or repairs done here in the future.

He quoted what the cost might be to replace the bumper, but then proceeded to take my car to the shop to see what he could do without replacement. I came to know Benjamin, the owner of North Star Automotive in May this year. I was blown away by his knowledge, willingness to work with me, quality of work and reasonable pricing. If I ever need collision or special work again for any car I will call Benjamin at North Star.We own a cherry dark blue Lexus SC 430 that my wife and I just love. Its a great car, purchased new in 2006. Weve driven The Little Lexus all over America and Canada including Florida, Texas, Newfoundland and points between. Performance and road handling are awesome. This is the most fun car we have ever owned, including a Mercedes 280 SL.So we hit a deer in broad daylight on a rural PA road. Thought of the worst outcome of course and reported it to the insurance. The adjuster promptly informed me that the shop I had used in the past could not fix the damage for the highest amount they were able to approve for payment. Yeah, imagine totaling this beautiful, beloved car. The adjuster told me they could pay no more than $10,000 for repairs and I should look for a shop that might be able do the work for less. I appreciated the honesty and willingness to work with me.My neighbor recommended North Start Automotive and gave me the phone and Benjamins name. He understood exactly my situation. I told him we would gladly pay out of pocket if actual repairs exceeded what the insurance would pay. He agreed to evaluate the damage and see what he could do. Everyone understood the issue of totaling a car and insurance constraints.We were delighted to pay North Star $1,500 plus the insurance check to have the Lexus back suggesting it didnt have to be perfect. Well, the work was perfect! Benjamin explained that he has a reputation to uphold and he insists on safety as well as making the car as good as it was before the accident.The work was completed quicker than expected and the quality was the very best. My wife and I were delighted. We had The Little Lexus back for $1,500 out of pocket. Amazing.A few months later I ran aground over some rocks in the dark damaging a side panel. North Star fixed it quickly for about $100 over the cost of the part. I knew I had found a reliable solution to body work and special problems. I recommend these guys to anyone. They not only preform the work, they advise you.Oddly, in august we had a tire pressure warning on this 14 year old car. The excellent mechanic we use for routine issues tried to resolve this with after market TPMS. He replaced them, no problem, but he could not get the system to reset. He did the best he could and I paid him, knowing the next step would be the dealership of Benjamin. Benjamin told me a story about trying aftermarket parts on a Lexus and vowing never again. I asked it he would try to help and he agreed. He ordered OEM parts and spent a bunch of time trying to make it happen. Turns out a 2006 Lexus TPMS is color coded and he had no way to know which color went where with the old parts removed and new parts installed.A few days later Benjamin called to explain that he had taken the car to the Lexus dealership and they thought they could handle it. He hoped Lexus would act quickly to resolve the issue because he works with them all the time for parts.. That was a great move. We got the car back today. No more TPMS light or screaming at us. The cost of doing all the research and trying to get the OEM parts to work was very reasonable. I expect the total bill is about the same as it would have been if I had gone to the dealership in the first place.Who knew a 2006 Lexus had a color coded TPMS?So, long recommendation, but I am convinced these guys provide high quality service at a reasonable price and do their best to help their customers.

My truck ended up in a fight with a metal stake and the stake won. Unfortunately I needed my drivers side door replaced. The folks at North Star exceeded my expectations and I would absolutely recommend them if you get into an accident. These guys made my Nissan Frontier look better than ever. When i purchased my Frontier, I noticed the front left fender paint color did not match (white). My dealer said they would take care of it. They sent it out to their body shop, (not Nothstar) and it came back worse than when it went in. The paint had dirt, runs, heavy orange peel, overstay and I could go on and on. I told my dealer the work was unacceptable and wanted Northstar to fix it. It was so bad, Benjamin had to take pics before touching the vehicle. It used to be an eyesore every time I looked at my truck. Not anymore. The truck is perfect and I highly recommend Northstar. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

When our teenager daughter was hit and her car needed what appeared to be minor damage Kelly Nissan recommended Benjamin at North Star Auto. Are we glad they did! The ins co wanted to give Hs minimal amount of money for the repairs and wanted to use non Nissan parts. Great job did what rv dealers could not do

Worked with Benjamin to get my car repaired. Prior to getting started, he assured me that he would work with the insurance company to assure that the proper parts were used to repair the vehicle (which had 200 miles on it when it was hit). He did exactly that! He had to challenge the insurance company but in the end, all Honda parts were used and the repair looks like new.

Benjamin was great and very helpful. I thought the whole experience was great and you dont usually think that when your car gets towed. You usually find a dilapidated building with a mean dog and a rude assistant behind bullet proof glass. These guys really work for you when it comes to working out a settlement or making sure that your car is fixed the right way. I wouldnt go anywhere else if you need a tow or you need body work.

And Benjamin and his team didnt disappoint. two years ago, I had a different body shop (Insurance recommended - never again) do a poor job on the paint that started to blister. Prices are crazy high. Three times more expensive than my other estimates. I cant comment on the quality if the work but the work I had done elsewhere for a third the cost is perfect and has a lifetime warranty.
