Stefko Service Center is owner operated auto service center. Charlie Wernett is a professional mechanic with a clear understanding of what matters to the average car owner, reliability safety and comfort. I have personally had Charlie work all of my cars over the past 12 years. He has helped me maintain them, repair them after a few minor fender benders and been honest with me when the time has come to put one down. I have recommended him to family and friends and they always go out of there way to thank me for the recommendation.

In a nutshell: The owner purposely used his snowblower to cover my car (1995 Chevrolet Camaro Z28) in gravel and dirt filled snow while I watched from my fathers car. We were waiting on the tow truck I called to have my car removed from the lot as requested by the shop, as they were referring me to a body shop. I was a previous customer and my father was regular one. Was.Full story:My father has been a loyal customer of this shop for a few years now. I usually do my own work but occasionally need a repair done at a shop. About two years ago I had my exhaust and passenger side window motor replaced at this shop. The window repair was fine. My exhaust was improperly welded and actually came loose while driving, damaging one of the custom Gibson chrome exhaust tips I had the shop install. They refused to replace the tip and polished it instead. I needed the repair badly, was very busy and their pricing was reasonable so I let it go. They did properly weld the exhaust on the second time. I paid approximately $1,300.00 for that trip to the shop.My most recent experience was much worse. On this past Christmas Eve I had a low speed collision with a parked car. The damage was only to the passenger wheel well area and fiberglass fender. I chose to have my car towed to Stefko Service Center on the 27th, so December 28th was the first day the shop saw my car. The owner took a few days to advise that his shop would not repair the car because the damage was too severe and that I could try a collision shop. By now it is New Years Eve. I was not able to reach any other shops until January 2nd due to the holiday. The owner of this shop was furious that my car was still in his lot. My father was nice enough to deal with talking to the shop owner. The owner began rudely and angrily calling my father on January 3rd because I had not removed my car. The shop provided absolutely no assistance for me in locating a body shop. Not that they had to, but being that it was during a holiday, and they should know more body shops than I, it was a surprise that the most the ill tempered owner offered in the way of assistance was Call Faulkers.I digress. By the evening of January 3rd I decided to just tow my car to my fathers house and have some friends help me repair it. My father relays to the owner this information. It snowed overnight. The owner of this shop called my father every hour or more on January 4th yelling at him to get my car out of his lot so he can plow it for customers. This shop is not a busy shop. We arrived to await the tow truck around 10:30 am January 4th; my father works night shift so this was the earliest he could take me. Three vehicles were in their lot: an employees car, a small tow truck the shop owns, and mine. While waiting for the tow truck in my fathers car I watched the owner of this shop use a snowblower on the parking lot. I watched him stop near my car, and adjust the snowblower as he rounded my car to point the snow it moves at my car. I watched him deliberately snowblow gravel and dirt filled snow from his lot directly onto my car. On purpose. If it was not on purpose, Im not sure then why he kept stopping to turn the snowblower output so that it would keep hitting my car.I was willing to pay his business to repair my car. I have done so once already. I will not do so again and neither will my father. I do not recommend this shop. It did take several hours for a tow truck to arrive, but there was fresh snow on the ground and the tow companies were very busy. I had no control over this.I am honestly livid about this experience and strongly urge anyone who cares about their car to stay as far away from this shop as possible.
