Rented their smallest truck. I put the pick up time at 4pm but it was somehow changed to 8am. I was quoted around $124.00. When I went to pick it up, my total was $377.76. I questioned why and called their help number. I was told there is a $150 deposit and an estimate of 85 (.99/mile) miles that is put onto the final total. The person I spoke with on the phone was not helpful. The workers in store tried their best to understand the Penske system but they are Home Depot employees. When of the employees when I was dropping off was condescending about what I used the truck for. Obviously, I used it to move things. I got the $150 deposit back and only drove about 20 miles. I just wish they told you that in the estimate so I wasn’t surprised when picking the truck up.

I have been renting for business use here for years. They keep in contact with me periodically if they do not see me. I had one breakdown over 3 years and they worked with me to insure all of my needs were met. They are very professional. I always use the north davenport location and NEVER rent through Home Depot.

Terrible rental experience. We had a reservation, arrived at 8am for pickup, did not leave until 8:50. The Home Depot rental people just could not figure out how to complete the paperwork.Called a manager who called someone else. 3 people could not get it done.Then gave us the keys to the wrong truck.Finally just said here, take this one. Then called us 2 hours later because the truck ID did not match the contract.Nothing wrong wth the truck we finally used.
