Read your contact carefully for all the hidden fees and charges for returning a vehicle early or after hours. Our non-profit organization was charged an extra $20 for bringing a vehicle back at night and leaving the keys in the drop box. I had to call for a copy of the invoice as the person who checked me in misspelled the email address. Bummer that the fees were not listed in the signage posted by the drop box.

Reserved a vehicle online for Sunday morning @9am showed up and there was 10 other people waiting in the parking lot. No U-Haul employees were present but there were a bunch of willing to pay customers. Not one to leave bad reviews but this specific U-Haul needs to figure it out, inconvenienced a lot of potential customers.

Laziest business awards must be the goal here. I spent well over 2k at this place and the van was absolutely filthy, asked to have it cleaned and the guy came and barely wiped the windshield. After asking 3 times to clean it I had to do it. It was the safety issue of not being able to see thru the bugs. 3 employees came out and saw me doing their job and simply went back inside. One employee said I was hurting his feelings asking him to do his job...the female manager simply looked away and would not acknowledge I was in the room as a way to not do anything to correct the situation. THERE WAS A WASHED VAN SITTING NEXT TO WHERE I HAD TO CLEAN MY VAN BUT THE MANAGER SAID SHE DIDNT WANT TO HAVE TO REDO THE PAPERWORK. The app for noting van damage wouldnt function well enough to document any damage. Mgr said something about charging $5 to resend the damage verification link. JUST PLAIN AND SIMPLY A TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE.

This business is one of the most poorly run that I have ever tried to deal with. Today, I wanted to set up a trailer rental and purchase appx. $50 worth of trailer hitch items. There was no one inside the store and I waited for approximately 10 minutes and finally walked out. This is not the first time this has happened but it is the last. I went to U-Haul on west Kimberly in Davenport and they took immediate care of me. Those guys know how to deal with customers!Don’t bother with the Bettendorf store, you’ll be glad you went elsewhere.

Drove across town for propane. Kid came out and said his boss is the only one who can do it. Too busy right now. It will be a couple of hours.. Dont waste you time here.

What a disappointment it was to visit this location and what a waste of my time and resources! I ordered moving supplies online and scheduled a pick up later that afternoon only to arrive and nothing was ready and to make matters worse by the time they got around to helping me they informed me they were out of large and medium boxes which happened to be the main reason I chose them because online it stated they had what supplies in their inventory.I believe they could have and should have come contacted me to let me know they didn’t have what I ordered so I could have looked for another merchant and not waste so much time thinking they did!!So unprofessional and unapologetic… I’m very upset

The valve is now fixed on U-Hauls propane tank. I know this because I had to drive there after failed attempt(s) at calling them. Strike one... Second strike was waiting at the pump. Ive never had to ring the bell (which is broken) because someone always came out after a couple minutes. Not this time... so I go inside... two people at the counter one on the phone and one needing help on the computer from the 3rd person working. As I waited she turned to me and said you need propane. I said yes I do. She said youll need to wait until Im done with this hitch, I didnt see any hitch and just said Ok. Then she told me it would be a couple hours. I say: can I make an appointment I can only do one thing at a time she replied as I went out the door saying what great customer service you have here. One star for being open for business and I always try to be nice.

I love this UHaul location. Everyone is always nice and helpful. I’ve used them several times over the past few years.

Don’t waste your time with this place!!! They never have a technician for propane. Find another place.

Larry didnt install my hitch correctly and I got pulled over for no taillights. Larry said it was good to go so I didnt check the lights. Only got a warning but I had to spend half a day for another uhaul to correctly install the hitch. Now I have to change all my reservations due to the delay...

Went to propane tanks filled at 5:25 pm. They close at 7:00pm and the staff that handles filling the propane tanks had left for the day. What a way to run a business. Management allows all the staff that fills the propane tanks to leave for today.

I just want to say that all the people whom I dealt with at this location were nothing but professional. Their agent Jodie Agan the agent I rented from was very helpful and answered any question I had and Thomas Buechel was also very helpful when I returned my rental. They both took the time to explain each and every charge I was expected to pay. Matter of fact they came within a $1.17 in my final bill. Even when I called the U Haul emergency number because the check engine came on during my trip they too were extremely helpful too. Would definitely rent from this location again.

Tom at U-Haul on Spruce Hills came through for us when some furniture we ordered arrived at the warehouse early. They had a cargo van available that they were willing told hold so we could pick our items up. The price was good and the staff was very professional.One word of advice (which they warned us about) is that they do not offer parking for users on the premises. If you wish to pick up a vehicle you need to have someone drop you off as you are not allowed to leave your vehicle parked at their location.

Very bad behavior towards customer...what kind of company that cant reschedule the date of renting the truck n want everything to b done through app...if asked any info they want us to see in app...the lady with wired coloured hair was really rude...The other guy was coming to helping n clear things bt she is so mean,didnt let him to say anything...really... we are new to this city...I didnt see anyone with this type of attitude...like its her job is to help customers,failing in that y she should b sitting there representing the company n make UHAUL look bad...

There lucky I give them a one star. First off I had a hitch put on my wife SUV. When I go to pick it up the hardware that bolt it to the frame aint even tight. Then they tell me that they dont have the proper wiring harness for it. Said it word be in a week ago. Still waiting for it. Been two weeks now . What a joke

Customer service was so bad we literally just left. Made up rules by a less than well endowed old man. That attitude has to be compensating for something.

I came in on a Sunday afternoon to pick up a trailer that I had a reservation for. Theres only one attendant on duty whos visibly angry and muttering about how he ought to quit. Theres only one other customer in the store and the attendant tells me itll be at least 90 minutes before he can get to me as he has other things he has to do since they fired all his coworkers...

Got me a truck right away on the last day of the month of all days. Trusted me to return it that same evening as the truck was reserved by another customer for the morning. Recommended.

Confirmed online reservation. The staff told me that the none of those Vehicles were available and that I should never trust the online system. Offered no support for getting a replacement vehicle had to leave without the van.

Were driving through with our RV and they filled our propane tank quickly and efficiently. They offered their water spicket to fill our tank up as well.And one of the guys was a Packer fan to boot. Go Pack Go! Lol.

Worst customer service ever! I have spent more than a thousand in past one week receiving services from Uhaul, yet they wouldnt accept returning of a 6 $ lock! I took their 26 ft truck, but they never mentioned they will charge extra if we touch the Dolly that was provided with the truck! You should ask everything in details, otherwise they can not wait to rip you off!

Horrible. I got charged 4 different times and double for what I got told. Then a week later I got charged again for something I didnt get. Dont give them your card or they will charge you randomly.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! I called to reserve a van the told me I could pick it up at 7am but they werent open til 9am. I get there at 9 and told the guy working and he said Well we open at 9 so idk who told you that. This is the most stupidest place Ive ever had to work with. I wont be going here again.

Made appt. to have a hitch installed on a friday afternoon and then received a call from a woman who informed me that the installer gets off work @ 1:15 on Fridays. I told her that I have an appointment at 3:45 and she said the call center doesnt know how things work....Its obvious that something needs to be changed in the way they do business! I cancelled and will never do business with them. Not even an apology.....

I had reserved a 14 truck at Martin Motors in Moline. Bettendorf Uhaul told me that I had to pick it up at 8am. I called them back to see if I had to pick the truck up at their location or at Martin Motors and they put me on hold as soon as they answered. I sat on hold for a good 10-15 minutes waiting for a representative to answer the phone. when I finally talked to someone they were quite rude with me.

Ive used then 3 times now. Best selection of trucks/trailers in the QCS. Good customer service.

I reserved a truck with my credit card two weeks ago with the Manager Ryan in store. on two separate occasions in trying to purchase moving supplies I witness the computers being down, customers being talked down to including myself. It took 30 minutes to have them buy back my inused boxes. Ryan was very snippy. here it is the day before my move and I cant reach the location. Noone picking up the phone. I call the 800 number to check my reservation they cant find it. I get the local store finally. they have. its all set. Then I get a call Ill have to pick it up at another location more than 20 miles away. Are you kidding What kind of management style and customer service is this? Budget was sold out, the other uhaul sold out, Penski had one truck at triple the price. I guess a credit card to hold a reservation means nothing to this location they just overbook and dont care.Nick Holtz was the only employee that gave consistant great customer service. Buyer be ware . have a back up plan.

Trucks are really beat. Some have short ramps which makes it steep to get loads in the truck. If you do this w hen raining or snowing it will be a safety issue.The fleet needs an upgrade.
