If youre a guitarist in the southern side of Montana, youre going to love this place. So. Many. Guitars. All on display and you can try them all out. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead 5 is that I saw no Marshall amps. Other than that, their selection is much greater than youd think from the outside. Staff was very friendly and helpful even when I asked a silly question, they didnt balk or roll their eyes. I will be going back.

Honestly, I’m too new to guitars to tell you how knowledgeable they are. That said, they are extremely helpful but never pushy. I get a nice greeting and a “can I help you” when I first enter the store. Then, if I want to just look around, they leave me alone.Everyone I have encountered there acts as if they are happy to help and give advice to a novice like me or to the more accomplished customers in the store.I have a habit of checking the online stores and comparing prices, but it has been a waste of time for everything I have bought there. Their prices, like others have mentioned here, are about the same as the best deal you can find online.Keep up the good work

Fantastic store. Great customer service, they showed me cool stuff but werent pushy. I emailed them at the end of their business hours and asked if theyd send me a picture of a guitar I played when I was in the store earlier and received great quality photos very quickly. I didnt sacrifice price at all by shopping locally either.Great selection on guitars and pedals as well. Glad I bought from them, they definitely deserve the rating they have.

Best guitar shop in town! Im always stopping in, whether I need a new pair of strings, strap, or any miscellaneous accessory. Sometimes I just like to stop in and talk with the guys, they’re very informative and are always ready to help. They also made me a custom guitar order, got it in quickly, and gave it an amazing set up. Jay is always amazing to do business with. I take guitar lessons here with Cory OBrien, and hes a great teacher. Theres a great chill atmosphere here, and there are guitars and amps everywhere to test out and have fun with. Its a great place to meet other guitarists and form bands.

This place is everything you want in a guitar store. Staff is super friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They help guide you in what youre looking for without being pushy. Laid-back and encourage you to try out the instruments. Great selection of guitars, and other instruments and equipment. When you purchase a guitar they take the time to do an inspection of the instrument to make sure its perfect. They also tell you if you ever have any questions or concerns to bring it back and they will take a look at it. Prices are very good! I researched the guitar I was purchasing, and their price was the same as all the internet sites, and thats a big deal for a brick and mortar store to compete with those prices. So please buy local!I couldnt be a happier customer and this place will always be my go to from now on!

Absolute best guitar store I have ever been to! I moved from a place that had quite a few great options for servicing my guitar, so I was concerned I’d have trouble finding what I needed in a small city. Now I can’t imagine finding a place as great as this anywhere else! Shawn has totally made my 12 string Martin sound better than it ever did...even when it was brand new! Love this store!!!

The staff at guitars and amps is phenomenal! We needed some repairs on our guitar and brought it in close to closing time (due to lack of planning on my part) and they stayed late to repair it. Cool place with friendly staff. Two things really stand out to me. First, theres a closed studio in the back to try out gear in. This is great if you want to sit and really get a feel for a piece of gear youre considering dropping a bunch of money on, rather than feel like youve got to dip into performance mode like all the flunkies hanging out at Guitar Center stores. Second, and more importantly, they always have my preferred brands of guitar strings IN THE GAUGES I PLAY! I cannot overstate how important that is. Well done Guitars and Amps, cheers!

This wonderful store is an absolute gem in our city, and an absolute blessing for us guitar players. Ive been playing music with Montana as my base and home for 25 years and I cant say enough good things about this awesome place and the fantastic staff that works there. Besides being experts of their craft, and they are top notch bar none, they are also some of the nicest and most helpful people Ive had the pleasure to work with and call my friends. Most recently I took a strat in to have some electronics fixed and they just went above and beyond doing a beautiful job and hardly charged me at all. The price was so fair I almost feel like I owe them. Getting to the store itself, a corner building next to Ernie Novembers on Grand Ave. bound in posters of guitar slingers and their axes gives way to a showroom filled with a fabulous collection of great guitars (Both Electric and Acoustic), basses, amps, and all the gear, bells and whistles you could want. If youre just starting out they have cost friendly options to get you going, if youre a seasoned pro they got it all from top of the line cutting edge gear to vintage beauties and hand wired amps and everything in between, plus they also do custom work. They can really cater to any guitarists or bassists need and in a very timely manner, they also have financing options that have really helped not so rich people like myself. All in all stores and people like this make me love playing music, which pushes me to live better, to play better and that makes life better and thats the whole enchilada aint it, and I cant thank them, or recommend them enough, for it. Great customer service. I was going to purchase some equipment that I thought would make my electric guitar sound better. It was a problem with my adjustments on the effect pedal. They always let me take things home and try it before I buy it and let me bring back a looping pedal when it wasnt what I was looking for. Great company.

They treated very well I bought a new bass and a used amp from them. A week later the amp started to give me major feed back to the point you couldnt play notes. I figured that it might be the guitar battery replaced it. Still didnt play so I call them up they tell me to come in he plugs it in using a chord that was already there turns out my chord was bad so he replaced it free of charge!
