This is one of the greatest activities to do for anything with anyone!! We had sooo much fun! You can either buy a pre made candle or make your own by choosing your scents. You get a clipboard and go around smelling scented candles and writing ones you like and star the ones you love. They’ll help you pick ones that go well together and give you the oils to mix and prepare the warm wax jars for you. You can choose a refillable jar or regular. Refillable is 60$, with two wicks. They go 32/35/45 for the regular candles and have an ongoing “buy 3 get one free” deal. Aside from cables, you can also make liquid soap, room spray and lotion following the same process.This was such a pretty store and the staff is soooo helpful and friendly. I would make plans because it takes some time for your candles to set so we went to brunch and came back to pick them up. Definitely coming back!

Staff are amazing! Professional and super friendly! So much fun picking out scents and combining them to make a scent you like! I could never really find a scent I love, at Urban Wick I was able to make a scent I Love! I made 4 candles and a sanitizer that were to my liking. The staff were very nice and helpful as well as funny. They had a lot of scents to choose from as well as jars. They even do lotion and hand soap and hand sanitizer! It is a calm shop with a nice atmosphere, and its fun to make a blend of scents to match the vibe youre trying to make. They even try to assist with the candle making through seeing what scents you liked the most and trying to match them up with each other. Definitely coming back!

This was my first time visiting urban wick. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. We arrived late for our private party yet the wonderful staff stayed after hours and made sure we had an enjoyable experience. We had so much fun and made such lovely scented high quality products. Incredible experience to make your own candle scent. Great smells to test out and the staff is wonderful in walking you through the experience. I brought my daughter as a surprise adventure and it took about an hour to complete the experience, plus it takes a couple hours for the candle to set / dry. We ran some errands and came back to get it. Reasonable prices and will definitely do again.

This place is so cool! You can make your own candles, room spray, and hand sanitizer (and yes it smells amazing). You also can make your own labels to personalize. Theres gotta be 100 scent choices to choose from. Im not one on knowing what scents go together but one of the owners, Elise, was super nice and helped me out. Thanks so much for a great experience and cant wait to come back!

I absolutely love this place!! The whole experience on Valentines Day 2021 was awesome and I will definitely be back again. Loosely similar to Painting w/a Twist this is like making candles w/a twist. 😊 The owner and scent designer that helped us put our favorite s cents together were very, helpful, friendly pleasant and professional. From the chocolates, champagne, photo, candles and personal delivery to the nearby restaurant we dined at after, it made our special day that much sweeter. I came in with my daughters for a mother - daughter activity. My 8y loved it, while my 4 y was entertained by one of the staff (which was such a bonus bc then I was able to make a candle as well!) It was very easy, I would recommend and will be back.

I had so much fun making my candles! Everyone was extremely friendly and they were the ones that truly made my experience great. I ended up making two candles because they had jars for only $15! You really cant beat the price. I loved that they sat down with us and helped us figure out what scents would work best together. She was very knowledgeable about the different scents and helped my boyfriend figure out what he wanted his candle to smell like. The atmosphere was very cozy, classy, and beautiful as well. I will definitely be coming back here!Update: anytime were in the area we stop in here to make a candle. So far Ive brought home 5 candles and I love every single one. The best part is that the lovely ladies that work here recognize me now and ask about my dog. Weve taken my boyfriends little sister here and I recommend them to my sister-in-law. I seriously cant say enough good things about Urban Wick. The prices, the atmosphere, the experience, and the products are all top notch.

This place is absolutely awesome! I went in thinking I “had” to go with my girlfriend and I walked out thinking when can we go back again (gentleman- take your significant other without her asking you first)! The staff is absolutely phenomenal- so sweet, helpful and FUN! The owner, Marlene, was so incredibly nice to us as well as her staff. If you haven’t gone you are missing out! I want to love this place after so much anticipation. The candle making experience was fun and pleasurable, no complaints. We were told the candles would be ready at 2:45pm so we went across the street to eat. Knowing they close at 3, I left my party, walked back in 40 degree weather to get the candles. I was told the candles weren’t ready and that I could either come back later during a pRiVaTe pArTy or later in the week. I informed the associate that we would come back after our meal during the pRiVaTe PaRtY as we don’t live nearby and she agreed.We came back around 5:15pm and the door was open. We walked in and were stopped immediately by a different associate. We informed her we were just picking up. We had 3 different orders. Associate brought us 1 order thinking all 3 orders ($200 worth) were crammed in one bag. While we waited for the 2 other orders, two of us needed to use the bathroom. It was then a different associate approached my sisters (while I was in the bathroom) and informed them that they were a “DISTURBANCE” to the pRivAtE pARty and they needed to step outside and wait like animals. The associate also told my sisters that the pRiVaTe pArtY paid to rent out the space and that my sisters need to leave for that reason even though we just dropped $200 ourselves.Once I got out of the bathroom, an associate informed me that my “friends” were outside. I didn’t think anything of it and thought they had decided to step out. Once I got outside, they told me we were kicked out. RUDE!!!!!!!I’m so disappointed after spending $200 amongst 3 people. I’m all abt supporting small business but please get your sh!t together. I’m sorry y’all couldn’t have our $200 order ready before your important “pRivAte pArtY”. If y’all didn’t want us inside or to “BE A DISTURBANCE”, y’all shoulda had our orders ready at the door esp since I told an associate I was coming back later. SMH. #StopAsianHateResponse to Owner response: we took our masks off for 1 photo. Please stop acting like we had our masks off the entire time we were waiting on YALL. **** this was NOT a concern expressed by your associate at the time of kicking us out. If that was the expressed concern, we would have understood. However, we were called a “disturbance” and it was expressed that that party paid for the time even though we were TOLD WE COULD COME BACK DURING THE PRIVATE PARTY. YES it could have been a quick pick up if everything was given to us in a timely manner, but it WAS NOT hence why we had the time to take a photo with our masks off while we waited for the rest of our order due to the negligence of your staff! P.S. your OWN Instagram has photos of staff AND CUSTOMERS WITHOUT MASKS!! Pshhhhh!!!!! Great way to show you care abt customer safety huh! 😂😂😂😂😂The private party wasn’t masked either!! What if they were a disturbance to us???? Would you have kicked them out or do you only pick and choose when you want to care abt customer safety based on their ethnicity? Hahahaha we paid for our time there too didn’t we?😂😂🤣🤣😂🤣😂 SMFH.

I had an amazing experience here at Urban Wick! The staff was so friendly and helped me create the perfect scents for my candles. Everything was clean and much care was taken to follow health and safety standards in regards to COVID. I also LOVE that this is a female owned, mother-daughter business. If you are looking to create high quality candles and have a fun night out with friends, this is the place to go! Couldnt recommend more!
