Interesting concept, but the cookie doughs were too sweet for our taste.

Insanely tasty!! This is such a great concept for dessert! We were welcomed as soon as we walked in and the service continued to be great. After trying a few different flavors we ended up with 1 scoop of cookie dough heaven. The inside had a great vibe so we decided to hang around and enjoy our cookie dough there. We wish they had one of these in KC!

I really wanted to like this, but it’s like eating butter. The texture isn’t like cookie dough at all...it’s like flavored butter. Oh! I was also hoping for a safe edible cookie dough, but this one is full of eggs and butter! I know it’s still pasteurized, but it just grosses me out.

So much fun! I had mentioned it was my birthday in the special instructions on DoorDash and this is what they did! Definitely made my day as having a pandemic birthday has been a little bit of a bummer. Definitely going here again while I’m in Birmingham the next few months!!

The cookie dough itself was delicious. Please have your employees put their cell phones away. At one point an employee was crouching down below the counter on her phone and didn’t notice that a customer was waiting for an uncomfortably long time. The other employees were visibly in the back on their phones. Call me old fashioned but paying employees to check their cell phones instead of helping customers is probably not the look the owner is going for.

Great atmosphere but if you have more than 2 kids this isnt a budget friendly spot10$ for 2 scoops 😐

First time visiting, and we all loved it! Its great how you can sample the different flavors before deciding what you want, but that might make it harder as all the flavors are so good! I highly recommend paying a visit!

Cool place to hang out but it’s unexpectedly expensive (≈$20 for 4 scoops) and does not taste good. I think we were slightly anticipating the refreshing aspect of ice cream with (pillsbury) cookie dough flavor when it really is the dehydrating and dry part of cookie dough without the taste. We got three different flavors and each tasted rather similar and equally dry. I refrain from using the phrase “dessert marketing scheme” but I am also not surprised to see that this industry has not taken ground in Birmingham. Just stick to Jeni’s or Big Spoon or something like that.

Cookie Dough Magic is a welcome addition to the food world! Perfect alternative if you want a new fun treat. Also great for those with the inner conflict of wanting to eat cookie dough but not wanting salmonella. The flavors are great and the store is fun and modern. Great area too!

Me and my cousin come here frequently is “our place”. The owner and staff are always very friendly. I never know what I want and I’ve never felt rushed. All the flavors are delicious ♥️

Most excellent. My wife, who has food allergies, found it. She had their vegan chocolate chip dough. I had the milk shake, WONDERFUL!! So, good probably a great family and party spot.

I was not disappointed! The dough was good and it was cute inside! I had the Magic Unicorn and Cheesecake Dough. I had the half and half and it was a really good combo. They both tasted good together.There is also a couch with their logo on the wall to take pictures. I mean you can sit there and eat your dough too if you want. It’s a cute little place and I’d recommend.My friend and I also took half of what we didn’t finish home to finish eating with our show. I live about 30 minutes away. Just a heads up -- this isnt ice cream! Its very rich and sweet cookie dough which is delicious. We got double scoops and are taking half home because we cant finish.

Really enjoyed taking my family here. The java is absolutely delicious especially when paired with the dark chocolate cone. My wife and kids went with the midnight vanilla cone.

This cookie dough is indescribably good! Nothing I’ve had anywhere else compares. They have a huge selection & always have a new flavor of the month to try as well. Every time I’ve been the staff has been extremely friendly. Anytime I have friends or family in town I insist they have to try Cookie Dough Magic!

I love this place so much! The brownie batter flavor is my absolute favorite but they’re always coming up with unique seasonal flavors as well! I literally go once a week and it always so consistent. If you haven’t tried it you’re missing out!!

My fiancé loves this place, but I think all the doughs taste like, well, dough. None of the other flavors really come through. In my opinion, it’s not worth the price ($9 for a milkshake). It’s always really clean and staff is very friendly, though!

Every time I have been, I have been greeted & quickly helped by the staff members. I recently received excellent service when I placed an order through Grubhub. I called the store when I arrived and they brought the order to me curbside since I couldn’t find parking nearby.

We love Cookie Dough Magic! We have been to both the Birmingham and Huntsville locations. Service is always quick and the staff is kind and welcoming. The cookie dough always tastes amazing and we love trying the different flavors. Our favorite has to be Euro Dough or S’mores.

Great addition to Avondale! We went late Saturday night. We were immediately greeted and offered samples! The place is quaint with an awesome atmosphere. The staff are so patient with sampling to choose your flavor. I chose Magic Dunk (a throwback to Kadunks in the 90s) and my friend Euro Dough (a nod at Biscoff cookies). The flavors did not disappoint! We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner who explained his concept to us and helped serve us. Super nice gentleman! Finally they offer drinks to wash it all down. Well definitely be back! Such a great place for a sweet treat!

Delicious and locally owned family business! I went opening night and loved that they let us test some of the flavors. That night, I thought the scoop I got was a little small. But when I went back today, I was pleased to see that I got more dough for my dough. 😁 Make sure you try the delicious and different cones! They made a special treat an extra special taste experience. Love the crunch the cone adds. Glad to have this place in the neighborhood!

I know the owners personally and have ate there. This is a unique place to eat and the dough is made a special way and no you wont get sick off it I promise. The dough is prepared a little bit differently than average cookie dough, but it tastes just like actual cookie dough. Its really good. The owners are down to earth people and love what they do. I say come and check this out and try it. You wont be disappointed.

I am so thrilled with this place!! The cookie dough has a soft creamy texture that’s easy to eat - just delicious! Great flavor choices too. I usually go on Fridays to treat myself after a long week at work. 1 scoop can last me two or three days! I eat just enough for my sweet craving and save the rest in my fridge to enjoy the rest of the weekend. Go enjoy!!

Its a really unique idea and I think it was executed really well. Be warned though: this is much more rich than ice cream. While they may server it by the scoop like ice cream, it is much, much sweeter. The people and the service are fantastic and their flavors are great. It feels like a coffee shop almost in the atmosphere but with delicious edible cookie dough instead of coffee.

I have heard and seen pictures of this place so always wanted to try. It is really good. You can sample the different flavors before you can order. Very friendly service. The Sunday was really great. Definitely recommended. I will go back to try different flavors.

I really wasnt sure about this concept at first but after trying a few of the flavors and finally settling on the cookie batter I was sold. The only thing I would change is that I wish there was more seating inside.

I had a Sweet and Salty Cookie Dough in a Milkshake. It was good.. I add the whip cream and caramel. The place was very clean and the service was great. I am not a huge cookie dough fan but my girlfriend is so it was a win win for everyone.

This was a really cute little cookie dough shop and the employees were very nice and friendly. The pricing was fair and the cookie dough tasted good in small. By that, I mean do not order something this big because by the time you’ve got the first scoop down, you can’t finish the rest. It looks a lot like ice cream but is not similar at all. You can’t eat as much cookie dough as you can ice cream. And since there’s so much the taste begins to get weird. But overall, it’s definitely a neat little shop to try!

So much fun! Workers are super nice. They also wrap any dough you can’t finish up for you to take home. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

I played it safe and went with chocolate chip although the other flavors were tempting. I also had a chance to meet the owners, although they were both very busy (opening night), they couldnt have been nicer. I will definitely go back soon.5 STARS!

Great presentation, compelling concept. I wanted to love it, but left mildly disappointed. The milkshake was kinda blah and a strange texture. Was also baffled about how they couldnt mix two flavors together in said milkshake. May try straight cookie dough next time, although that seemed like it would be much too rich to eat a whole bowl of it. The overall quality and friendly service was worth giving it another try.

I would I would definitely get the cookie dough sundae with the ice cream, to cut the richness of the cookie dough.

Its not the exact cookie taste, but its rather close, especially in terms of texture. There are a small variety of different flavors, of which you can sample. Its rather expensive, but in all honesty, one serving was too much for a sitting. Thats due because of how sugary it is.Aside from these rather minor nit-picks, it was good service in a clean, modern facility that served rather tasty treats.Minus 1 for the pricing.

This was pretty yummy! I got the peanut butter, chocolate chip, and fudge brownie. I would recommend this for sure! They dont really have anything as far as to go, so I would most definitely only order what you can eat right then and there. Thats my only critique! Lids or something for the containers for when people just want to order and leave.

My boyfriend and I stopped in at Cookie Dough Magic trying to kill some time before a show. To start with, the pink lighting/decor in this place was adorable. Neither of us had ever had any edible cookie dough, and I was hesitant and worried it would make me nauseous, but it was sooo good! The dunkaroo flavor was my favorite!

Absolutely wonderful place. Great family atmosphere especially for those that want to run the kids hy here after school. Perfect for a date night dessert! No flavor they have is bad. Theyre all my favorite

The product is too sweet and too rich. Eating just the samples made me feel like I needed to go on a run to counter the poison I had just put in my body. I wouldnt ever eat it again.

The cookie dough was good, but it’s way over priced and the serving size is tiny. I got two scoops and the amount I got I would not even consider a full sized single scoop of ice cream amount. I probably will never go back since I can get way more cookie dough at the store for 1/5 of the price. The idea is cute, but they need to double their serving sizes and half their prices.

The single scoop is enormous. Definitely shareable and definitely delicious. Dangerous if you go in while hungry. The flavor that involves Dunkaroos is tremendous and highly recommended. Will go back for sure!

Havent been in person, but I dont even need to be told that this would be a delight to have been to. Read every available review and only saw one down right negative one. The other was more of a, not my thang kind of review while still somewhat complementary. I am a type 1 diabetic. It breaks my heart to see a place like this only because I would love to be able to just go nuts trying everything in site. As Homer Simpson would say. Dough.!!! Lol. What a cool little place this seems to be. I can imagine this becoming a childrens favorite, partly because the parents also want to go.! And it can be used as a reward for well behaved children or getting an A on a test. Several ways to entice young children to do their best at whatever they may need (because they can) to improve on. Or just for a fun family outing. Even a simple 1st date would be great at a place like this just because there would immediately be something not as common to talk about with this being so different than most any other quick stop for a treat type of establishment. Looks very neat and very delicious.!
