It was just ok. I have had better. I guess I was looking for a little more ump since they had such high ratings. My wife and 2 kids had ice cream and I had the snow cone the syrup was rather watered down and full of sugar

Amazing! I have tried every ice cream shop around Birmingham and this is by far my favorite. Tons of selections,amazing service and the best tasting ice cream around! They also saved my Birthday party when another creamery nearby called an hour before my wife was supposed to pick up the cake( we ordered 3 days in advance) and said they didn’t make it. Edgewood had several cakes ready made for me to choose from and it saved my party. Thanks Edgewood!

Great selection of flavors made with real natural ingredients, except Rocky Toad which had no tar or rocks in it! Clean store, well lit. Beautifully furnished with natural pine woodwork wall, tables and chairs. Very friendly staff members who were willing to give sample tastes to even the picky people like Mz Ashley.Prices were comparable to other store made creamers Ive been to.Ice cream was just delicious. Cones were wonderful as were the toppings. Next time Im going alone so thst no one can d iscourage me from getting the banana split. Hey, its got bananas and strawberries so its a veggie and a fruit, right!We will put this place on our rotation.

I love this place, and not just for the obvious you walk out with ice cream bit. I always love chatting or joking with the people working there and theyre always super patient with whoever is ordering. And...their servings are on point. Always have good flavors to choose from and allow you to taste test as many as you need to 😛

Never seen so many ice cream flavors in one setting. About 40 flavors I counted. You can’t decide then I understand but a perfect chance to try more than one. Highly recommend the pumpkin, banana cream pie, and the carrot cake. A triple threat indeed which knock you out in a sugar coma as I struggle to write this review. The scoops are more than enough for the monstrous cone they give you. Super thick waffle cones baked daily build to withstand the thick but smooth frozen treat called ice cream. Enjoy my foodie connoisseurs!

The ice cream in this place is AWESOME. Easily my favorite ice cream place in both Birmingham and Tuscaloosa. Nothing else compares. Excellent quality, good prices, a nice place with a cute terrace right outside... if its sunny outside, its a great plan. Staff is also extremely friendly. I hiiiiiighly recommend the blueberry cheesecake ice cream, it is out of this world. Basically I cant come to this place enough. One of the happiest moments of my life :)

Staff was very. Very patient and allow you to sample as much as you want. It was a lot of traffic here that added to the nice environment and setting for couples. In addition, the whole area is great for a date night. Young and old are out walking and holding hands in front of the shop. Also, they had two options for yogurt vanilla and butterscotch

Wife was asked to wear a mask. She informed the employee, that she was medically exempt. His response was “no, and that he was sorry.” I understand that the employee was probably following ownership protocol. I entered the store and ask, if this business was refusing service to someone exempt under the federal law? He said we could order outside. We would have ordered outside, if along with all the mandatory signs of wearing a mask on the windows. There was a sign stating you could order outside.

So many flavors to choose from!! The ice cream was amazing, but blue bell always is to me, and the waffle cone was great too, and they give your pup a generous amount of whipped cream! Not bad prices either!

There are a wide variety of interesting flavors, and the ice cream itself is very good. However, the shop isnt as nice looking as it appears online. The tables have graffiti carved all over them (including some offensive ones), and the windows are grimy. It kind of ruins the atmosphere that you want when you have ice cream.

My husband and I are frequent flyers here and never have a bad experience. They always have an incredible variety of flavors (though “C” is for Cookie is my favorite) and are so friendly! I came here my first night in Birmingham, almost every date night, we even hosted our engagement party here! LOVE this place!

Love this ice cream shop. Strawberry cheesecake ice cream is the best. Large chunks of cheesecake mixed in with sweet strawberries. Very fast and friendly staff. I highly recommend you stop in soon.

Someone by the name of LUCY has very poor customer service. I dont know if its because of our race, but we were treated unfairly. I do understand that during the pandemic not everyone want to do samples, but dont tell us that youre not giving out samples when you gave the next customer a sample. It was our first time there and it was the other customer’s first time also but he was from out of town, but I dont understand how that could make a difference if youre going to stick to a policy of not giving out samples then stick to that. This really disappointed me. Ill never refer anyone here or go back to spend my money. EVERYONE SHOULD BE TREATED FAIRLY!! Thank you for your discrimination!

We stopped in here on a brief visit to Birmingham. They have a good selection of flavors, nothing terribly odd, but more interesting than the boring usual. Hubby got the Road Trip flavor, I ordered the mint tracks, and my youngest had the cotton candy. All were good. In fact, I was really impressed with the cotton candy since thats usually a flavor today is just sugar and dye. This version actually tasted really good! The location is serene. Drive through the area a bit, when youre done, and admire the houses. Not far from Vulcan Park.

Edgewood Creamery has been a family favorite of ours for years. Some of our favorite flavors are the C is for Cookie, Special Praline and the Superman. We have so many wonderful memories at Edgewood Creamery, from rewarding the kids for good grades to making friends at their creamery. Homewood simply wouldnt be the same without it!

Always a great place to get some after-dinner dessert. The workers are consistently friendly and helpful, and just seem to really enjoy what they do; and the location is always clean and inviting, even to non-local patrons. Edgewood is by far one of the best ice cream shops in the metro Birmingham area.

The staff here is extremely nice. The ice cream is delicious. Edgewood is on this strip with a whole bunch of other shops which gives it a nice surrounding space and atmosphere. The service is impeccable as well, so overall, I really recommend this place to anyone who enjoys ice cream.

The ice cream here tastes amazing and there are a several flavor choices where its hard to choose. But youll hardly be disappointed with whichever choice you make. Its as though there are bits of the actual food mixed into the creamy ice cream. Like cake batter, for instance, has actually yellow cake batter in it. Its delicious. Staff is friendly also. Prices are pretty typical of ma-and-pop type businesses. Id definitely start buying my ice cream from here often. But for now, its a treat on special occasions.

Good price. Nice family place. We had chocolate, butter pecan, and cookies and cream. Delicious and homemade taste. Staff was dull. Not real busy so being treated with a smile or a welcome is always a plus.

Probably one of the best ice cream places you can go to around Birmingham. The workers are super nice and the ice cream is unbelievable. They dont cut you short on the scoops either. Each scoop is about the size of adult males fist. Overall: 10/10 would eat again.

The strawberry ice cream in the waffle cone was so good. My niece got a quart of the blueberry cheesecake to take home. Omg. Highly recommend. Delicious.

This was awful. I used to come here as a kid and the staff was nice and the ice cream and smoothies were great. This time I went with my younger cousins and the staff was terrible, on their phones not even paying attention to us. The smoothie I ordered was a wild berry smoothie and it tasted like cough syrup. I was highly disappointed and won’t be coming again in a while.

The quality of the ice cream is very good. I used to not mind spending $10 on ice cream for me and my daughter because the portions were so awesome. Now every time we go in the scoops are the size of golf balls. Staff wont even address the problem when we mention it.Shame. Now its back to Ben N JerrysMoved to Edgewood to walk to, and support, establishments such as this so credit is due where credit is due. Portions have been better! Now just need to keep that AWESOME special praline in stock more often!!!!
