I have been going for a few months now and its a wonderful place! I just started and Jesse taught me things I need to know. He is a good teacher when it comes to painting and playing the table top. Very patient and humorous.

This was our first visit to a Warhammer corporate store and it did not disappoint! They provide a variety of free trainings and benefits related to building, painting, and playing the Warhammer games. They also gave each child a free snap together figurine to practice with.

A fantastic environment for just getting into the hobby! Everyone is very helpful and gives great advise and tips! Really enjoyed my experience.

A lot of these reviews are of an old store that is closed and gone. This store is brand new and just opened and is being ran amazingly! My cousin and I made it in 6 days after they had their grand opening and he still hooked us up with so much cool grand opening swag!! Very knowledgeable!! Great store and was worth the trip from huntsville!

When I came in with a massive project in mind the guys help with supplies and even gave free test modals. The guys know there stuff. If your getting in to the hobby or are a veteran, this is the place for you!

Ok Ive known about Games Workshop for a while. My best friend like warhammer 40k I dig star and warcraft. So it was cool learning where it all came from. Me and my little sister was out and about and we decided to go in. I have to say Jessie(I hope his name is Jessie if not forgivecme) really know his stuff. It was a cool experience and knowing how customizable the game truly is actually perk our interest. I think me and her may take a free class together. We both want to do something that is just for me and her besides eating cupcakes. Im interested hell may give it a shot. since I taught her how to draw and paint here is something else we can potentially bond over. So heres to blood for the blood god or knowing my sister blood to the anime god

I was welcomed as someone new to the wargaming hobby.If you just go to this store thinking it is a generic comic/card shop, you are going to have a bad time.Understand that they are first and foremost a game store surrounding Games Workshop brand products and as such will try and push these products onto you.However, they were incredibly insightful and helpful when it comes to game knowledge and helping me paint my first mini. I will be coming back here to buy my stuff.

If you are looking for a place for mini war-gaming, then this place is perfect. The staff here is amazing, and unlike a lot of the other local gaming stores are not pushy about trying to make a sale. They are dedicated to helping the gaming community and making everyone feel welcome. I have seen the employees here walk people through how to play the various games they offer, as well as giving advice for working on whatever model project they may have, going so far as to suggest what exactly they need, and offering to show an example of whatever it is you are hoping to achieve. This place is great, and the community that frequents the store makes the hobby enjoyable. So if you were considering getting into tabletop gaming, this is the perfect place to start.

I have traveled the world and visit stores in every city I visit. This is hands down one of the best stores in the world. The Staff is helpful and very knowledgeable about both the games and the hobby. If you want to learn about GW games and lore there is no better place.

I was having a huge problem with a GW preorder that got lost. I called the store in a last ditch effort to try and get my hands on it and they were happy to hold onto a copy of their new box set for me and gave me advice on how to work with their HQs customer service in the UK.The Birmingham GW was a life saver for me today!

Such wonderful service and no issues with any of the staff! They are always so helpful and willing to answer any questions that I may have. The store manager is almost always there and is always so nice to everyone that enters the store.

Really good service. I walked by this place on my way to Play it Again Sports and was curious what they had. Curiosity got the best of me on my way back to the car and I stopped in. Very clean, well organized shop, and the employee working was terrific. 2 tables for playing, one for painting and I cant stress how nice the employee was. Im familiar with the concept of 40k, but had a few questions, the employee did a great job of answering them all. I left without purchasing anything and felt bad because the service was so good so Im leaving this review.

Great store for all things warhammer! Also a great place for model paints and accessories. Owner is incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming and showed me how to build, paint and got me into the game it was great.

The hours say Thur 12pm to 8pmIt is 12:24pm and there is a paper sign that says lunch... A paper sign taped up is fine but a lit up “Open” sign is not?Would save me some time if I could instantly tell from a glance if the store is open without having to park and try the door.12/14/18Parked in front of it. It is raining, the lights are on but can’t tell if they are open. Says they open at 12pm and it is 11:59am currently. Really dark in there and I don’t feel like getting out in the rain to check if they’re open. They need an “open” sign...Ok now 12:01 no movement in the store. I wonder how many potential sales they lose looking closed?

Waste of space this place has no business being open if they are not going to treat their customers with decent human respect. So sad that this place is allowed to stay open while toys r us had to close cant say I ever had a problem with the staff there.

Love it here. I just wished the store was a little bigger, they dont carry a wide enough selection of miniatures and with just a few people there to game it gets very cramped very fast.

I went there with a group of friends a few months ago. Their prices were wayy to high and the employees were very rude and obnoxious. Im surprised they are still open.

This place is fantastic! As a newcomer to the world of 40k I was a bit intimidated walking in since Im still fresh. The guys at Game workshop were more than willing to help me with questions I had and genuinely some of the nicest guys out there. My hats off to Jessie, helped steer me in the right direction as far as paints go and gave some great advice for creating a 30k pre heresy dark angel army. Cant stress enough how useful this location has been to a new starter like me, I plan to do all my shopping here!

The staff was really awesome, spent a lot of time teaching me the rules and how to play.

The manager has always been kind, never pushy about selling models to me, and has even given me lessons on how to paint my Dark Angels/Deathwing/Custodes/Thousand Sons. So I looked up reviews for this place that are 1 or 2 stars because the people were rude, but honestly, I havent had a bad experience yet (and so far, I have been in three times). Both guys I worked with were super helpful and knowledgable. They offered advice and told us all we needed to know to get started. Its been a blast so far and it seems like the Warhammer community is also welcoming.

The shop’s manager was very welcoming and knowledgeable of the company and even offered to teach me how to paint the models and play the game. Excited to begin participating in this hobby!

Games Workshop understands how to create plastic miniatures, but running a retail store is arcane knowledge woefully lost to them. Will the store be open? Will it be staffed? These are two very legitimate questions you have to ask on your drive over to Riverchase Promenade.Where most stores hire multiple staff and keep regularly-scheduled hours, Games Workshop hires a single employee at a time. Im sure someone in their corporate payroll department viewed this strategy as a stroke of genius, but it translates into an inconsistent experience for customers. Did the employee catch the flu? Fly out for sales training? Get sacked unexpectedly? All these and more are regular discoveries that await you as you arrive at their frequently locked doors.Since Games Workshop cant be bothered to set this store up for success, they may as well close it.

This place was awful. The employees are the worst. These good reviews are just the employees and there friends because this place was the worst.

Rudist group of people. Told us we were stupid for wanting to buy minis for use in d&d.That their games were better and RP games dont use their high quality models. Screw these guys. Ill never come back.

Stopped by there this past Saturday. The manager was very friendly and helpful to both me and my son. No pressure to buy anything and very knowegable as he answered a slew of questions from us about the hobby. We left not buying much but I went back the following Sunday and purchased a Warhammer 40k starter kit and ordered the 40k Shadowspar set which I pick up tomorrow (yay!!!).

Was in here with my son and the foul language being spewed by the employee here was enough to make us leave. Awful place, awful people.

Decent selection of minis but WAAAYYY overpriced. Guy tried to convince me it was about the quality bit thats ridiculous. 60 dollars for a 1 inch mini? And you gotta assemble and paint them yourself. I can live with painting them but yeesh. I mentioned hero forge and the guy basically said I was stupid for not seeing the quality in his product. Never coming back.

My fiance and I wandered into this place on a curious whim. I have never played Warhammer 40K, but were I ever interested in learning how to participate; or if I simply wished to spectate, this is the place I would go.The men there were HIGHLY knowledgeable of every aspect of the WH40K universe. The can easily inform any one of the history of the franchise, the lore behind the many playable factions, and even the latest developments and where the story is going next.The walls are stocked with box sets of figurines or whole sets of units. And again, they excel at explaining the details of said merchandise. Most sets require you to assemble the figurine and even paint them yourself; but I believe that they have pre-assembled units as well. They even gave both of us a free figurine as a sample piece!We spent a good deal of time there simply learning of the gameplay mechanics and rules as well. It is a lot of information to take in at once, but they host tournaments and regular games frequently at their location; so one could sit in during these times and get first-person experience if they so chose to.All-in-all a great place to visit if you are interested in learning any thing about the game, or seeking to enhance your army.

Stopped in on a Saturday and the staff was very friendly and explained all about this hobby. This isnt a hobby of mine but the friendly and helpful staff made me want to come back when I decide to start this hobby. There were about 5-6 people in this store when I stopped in.
