Glass table top was broken during move. Mover told me that he would fill out whatever paper so that the reimbursement process would be quick and we wouldn’t have to wait so long. That was a lie, found out we had to send them a email letting them know that they’re movers broke our furniture. It makes zero sense that we have to reach out to the company to inform they that they broke our stuff, seeing that they kept the glass that they broke. Then the night of the move we go to get in bed and the bed is loose and moving, had to take the entire bed down to find that pieces are missing. So we’re left with no glass table and a loose bed missing screws and pieces. Worst experience ever. And now I have to email and call about my stuff that they broke. Use a more reliable company not these people. If I could give zero stars I would.

We have used American Eagle for multiple destination to destination moves because they are friendly, professional and get the job done fast without damages. However, this time we only needed them to help us rearrange furniture inside the house since we cant physically do that ourselves. The guys, Jeff and Garon, were on time, moved quickly to rearrange pieces throughout the house including a couple of antique pieces. What we couldnt have done in a day by ourselves, they completed in 30minutes and with a smile. Well definitely use them again!

I had a terrible experience with this moving company. On Saturday, I had a moving window from 8AM-12PM. Around 8:20, I received an automated text message that I will attach below. The truck has broken down and their only option they provided was to reschedule for a week later. No one called. No one even answered the phone. Luckily, I was able to rent a U-Haul, so my plans were completely ruined, but this really is unacceptable. The least that could have been offered was to fit me in at the end of the day once a truck freed up. I would not recommend this company, not for the unforeseen circumstance, but for how they handled it.

This is my first time having to use movers and American Eagle out of Birmingham, AL did not disappoint! On the day of my move on 6/12 the movers show up Carlton, Michael and Keith. Shortly after their arrival I realize I can’t find the keys to my storage. I had a horrible night the night before and this was the icing on the cake. These guys were amazing to me! As I broke down in tears Michael and Carlton consoled me and assured me that all would work out. In order not to take up their time I opted to reschedule to the upcoming Monday. I’ll never forget the kindness these guys showed. On that Monday Michael returned with 2 other guys Daniel and Brien. Again they were also amazing! So kind and professional. They moved my things with care and procession. They were so fast! I’m so incredibly pleased with my experience and I’d totally use American Eagle moving over and over. I see for myself why the reviews are so amazing. Keep up the great work you’re doing gentlemen!

We scheduled American Eagle for our BIG move, and we were extremely pleased with our experience this past Friday. David and Carlton were the gentlemen that moved us. They called to let us know they were on their way, arrived promptly, quickly assessed the job, and got right to work. They were polite, professional, and very courteous. The work efficiently and quick to get all our stuff in the truck.We had furniture upstairs and downstairs, however, Dave nor Carlton, never complained, and instead, they smiled and laughed with each other and had a great attitude. Because of the professionalism and courtesy of David and Carlton we called American Eagle the same day and booked for the movers to help with the second part of this large move. I am not usually one to write reviews however, this company is completely unprofessional. I had one day to move out of my apartment. I was told the movers would be at my apartment between 8am-11am. At 8:30am they texted me and said their truck was broken and they would not be coming and they couldnt rescheduled for another week. I called and called and called for 30 minutes and never could get anyone to answer. I was by myself trying to move out of my apartment and could not lift the heavy things down my stairs like the washer/dryer/mattress which is why I needed movers. This left me scrambling on a holiday weekend trying to find someone to help me. Completely unacceptable. Just use someone else, this company is not worth the hassle.

Great experience with James and Michael. They were so fast, efficient, and right on time. They hustled and didnt stop moving until they were done. Overall everything turned out as easy and pleasant as moving can possibly be!

I found this company on Groupon and it turns out my mom had used them a few years ago to move. My movers were Alvin and Hakeem, they were amazing!! They made the actual moving part very easy. They took great care of my stuff, nothing had a scratch on it. They were fast and efficient. Also, they had to come up 3 flights of stairs!!! You guys are the best!!!!! Thank you so much!!!

Overall we were very satisfied with American Eagle Moving company. They were very hardworking, punctual, honest, and efficient. We used them for two moves in one week. We especially appreciated Hakeem, Aarron, Justice, and Michael. We had minor damage to a few items including a white couch, but overall we would still recommend. They did a great job!

I would never hire this company again. They broke my big green egg grill and two 55inch TVs. When I called to inquire about the damages, their response was “we picked the egg up and it fell apart”. I saw when they picked the egg up and wheeled it to the back of my home, everything was still in tact. They dropped my $1200 egg and will not take responsibility for the damages. I will not refer my clients or anyone else to this company, ever!

Fantastic experience all the way around. I set up my move on the phone with May and it was very easy. Aaron called me when they were on the way and arrived on time. Aaron, Glen and Rider were very professional and took care of all my items. Very reasonable priced. Would definitely recommend.

This company is completely unprofessional and does not honor the set contract. I reached out to Ian through email several times to get compensation from damage on a move and misleading information from the Groupon. I also spoke to Ian and initially he seemed helpful and ready to solve the issues, but after subsequent conversations he was dry and uninterested in resolving the mishaps. The actual movers were apologetic and actually told me what to do to get the damage compensated. However the company failed to make good on either complaints. Keep in mind the moving contract insures damages to an extent. Clearly, they did not care about mine!!! Be wary or just dont use them at all. I included pics of what I paid for and what the coupon stated. The end price was almost 400.00 outside of what I paid on the coupon. I also included e-mails I previously sent. So, calling the office after I have done so multiple times in addition to e-mailing seems to be a waste a time. Rectifying this situation according to what the contract states about insurance and the coupon is all that is needed.

These guys were great! Hakeem, Alvin, and Brian moved all of my furniture and boxes to my new apartment in about an hour, and they even helped me take my bed frame apart. They were very friendly, polite, and professional. I would recommend this company for those moving in the Birmingham area - they make it easy!

I used a Groupon that offered 2 hours of moving for one so I suppose it was discounted. First, they said they start the time when they leave ok it took 20 or so mins to arrive no big deal however what I did not understand they had to stop in mid move so they could get back before 2 hrs expired. They left at 9:45 so basically I only had them for one hour ok but I had to pay for fuel also. Now I only got an hour of help but I bought 2 hours and why not let me keep them til job is finished? Maybe that was my fault.l why, if I pay for fuel do they make one hour their travel time? Perhaps the travel time eats up that free hour? That I paid for fuel. Could be Im just not seeing it the right way, but I got one hr of help plus filled up that truck when the only driving was from their office to my house. Just be clear before you agree. They were super nice and courteous but it was somewhat robotic in my day we worked gave a man a day of real work perhaps its just young ppl today. Also they put alot of what I wanted to keep in throw away group glad I found my tools! Im just being honest. Perhaps moving companies are not designed to do garage clean-outs. You live and you learn. I think, if the travel time is acceptable, they will get you moved they are all very nice, but be very clear what you want.

Aaron Nickell and Glenn Castleberry were conscientious and diligent at both ends of a bedroom furniture move from Irondale to Hoover. They worked with focus and efficiency as well as cordiality and patience in some of the normal and abnormal hurdles afforded in this move. I had called several movers and American Eagle was the only one returning my call, so I took a chance. The LORD was watching over me and these two young men were what I needed for an excellent experience and when I move again, they are the ones I will call.

The older white man is extremely disrespectful !! I have seen many moving companies and he is the worst representation of this company! Booked with this company on 9/1 for a move on 9/12. They were a no show. Probably because I purchased off Groupon. Called me at 1 asking what time and I told them I needed them at 4. He said oh we can’t do that we only had two moved scheduled for today and that won’t work. In the text I received when I booked said arrival window anytime between 11 and 5. No excuse. Then said he will call his manager and get back with me. Nothing. Waited two hours and finally I called him again. My Number and my husbands number was blocked. No call from a manager. I called the office 6 times in the past two days. Leaving messages every time and still no call back or anything. I’m livid. I have a 26ft truck that needed to be un-loaded after my 9 hour drive. Now I am scrambling last minute on having to find someone because y’all want to unprofessional. I hope you lose business over this and people will go with someone else because this is wrong!! Don’t own a business if you can’t control it. Glad I was able to get my refund through Groupon!!!! Y’all should be ashamed!!

One of the movers dropped one of my 55 flat screen tvs in front of me and my 75 tv is damaged and the person who I talked to over the phone said that I only had 48 hours to file a claim. I informed her that I wasnt able to have someone to hang my tvs in that short amount of time . If I was able to then I would have noticed the damage. She was pretty much like, yeah okay.I will not be using their services again and will let it be known to friends and family not to as well.

Had a great move! David, Alvin and Glenn were organized, professional and very efficient! Moved our 3 bedrooms worth of stuff (that we had to pick up from our apartment and storage) into our new house in 4 hours (45 min commute between too). The groupon was a good deal! And even without it, they were much more affordable than quotes we got from other moving companies. Highly recommend!

We moved to my new house today and Hakeem and Jeff were excellent. The new house was built in the 70s and has some small hallway doors that I wasn’t sure we’d be able to fit some of the furniture through. They were able to remove the doors, maneuver through the opening, and then rehang the door all without causing any damage. They were fast and professional too, I would recommend these guys to anyone.

I found myself needing to move some stuff around my home after a loss in my family. I had no idea when it came to movers and my friend recommended American Eagle. The appointment process was very concise and clear about the fees that needed to be paid and how they were calculated. When the moving day came both David and Jeff worked quickly and efficiently to the point where they were done before I knew it with the desired results. If i need to move again i definitely will use them.

We recently scheduled a truck loading with American Eagle Movers, and were very pleased with the service! James and David E. were both friendly, professional, respectful, communicated well, and worked as a team to complete our load out much faster than I thought possible.Upon arrival, James went over all the paperwork with me, explaining the loading process and billing procedure.Very quickly, they safely and efficiently loaded our entire house and garage; the whole process took about two hours!In the coming days, we will be unloading into our next house, and I will definitely schedule with American Eagle because of the hard working team they provided for our first move. These folks did an amazing job for us today!! From the day of scheduling to the day of the move. They were upfront an honest on all charges which are pretty standard for moving companies. I loved having American Eagle Moving helping us in unloading our pod. I called the day of to let them know that logistics had changed slightly and they enthusiastically said it was not a problem and sent along a 3rd mover. All three men worked well together with terrific communication to take care of our things and the price was reasonable, especially since we used a groupon for a portion of the move. I could not have been happy with the service provided by Theo, Melvin, and Reid. All three were very respectful and jovial throughout the 3.5 hour miserable move up our incredibly steep driveway. We had an awesome experience with American Eagle moving company yesterday after purchasing our Groupon. Hakeem and Kobe were so efficient in getting all of our belongings loaded and unloaded in a careful and speedy manner. We were located on the second floor and (unfortunately) experienced a rainy day, but the gentlemen never once seemed bothered. They were extremely careful with our items and diligently wrapped anything that may be fragile or that could get damaged with the rain. It was awesome to have such good spirited people helping us with our move, as it can be such a stressful time. They really made the process as enjoyable as it could be. We would definitely recommend American Eagle Moving & Transport and will absolutely reach out if we need to move again!

I made an appointment on 10/14 to do a small move on 10/24 between 11-5. I did not use Groupon, but scheduled directly with the company. I have NEVER been so disappointed in a moving company. I woke up to rain on 10/24, but it was supposed to stop around the time the movers were scheduled. I tried calling the office a few times that morning to confirm the rain was not an issue, so if it was I would have time to find a plan B.Well I could never get anyone in the office on the phone and did not hear from my movers until a little after 1pm. The rain had totally stopped at that point in both locations of my move. The person on the phone stated that they were rescheduling me for the following Monday because of bad weather. There was no bad weather so I do not understand why I needed to be rescheduled. Also, I work so the weekend is the only time I could do this. I told the guy on the phone that Monday would not work, and he hung up on me.I was extremely frustrated that I was not notified of the change until well after the bad weather had passed and at that late in the day it was impossible to find someone else. Luckily I found a company that sent some guys out to load a U-Haul for me the next day. All My Sons saved the day, otherwise I would be in a very bad situation. I will never use this company nor suggest it to others.

Ive used AEM&T for my past 4-5 moves, and they never disappoint. Kobe and Jeff gave plenty of heads up and arrived exactly when they said they would. They moved quickly and I didnt even see them stop to take a breather until the truck was finished being loaded/offloaded. I have and will continue to use this company for all of my future moves. The service combined with very competitive pricing make using this company a no-brainer. Thanks for all of the hard work/professionalism!

Please, no matter how tempting it is to buy that Groupon and use this moving service, stay far away from it. PLEASE!!! Just take my advice and do not use these movers. We spent almost three times the amount I was expecting, from my phone conversation with the office personnel. I understand that the discussion with the individual from the office was not an exact price and merely a quote of the estimated cost; however, how does a company say it should take about 4 hours to move you, when you inform them of every item you have to run, and then it turns into a 7 hour process. Keep​ in mind that the weather was beautiful, there was hardly any traffic, they were late and the move was only around 21 miles away. I feel like this company lures people into a trap. It seems like this company knows that they will attract people with the Groupon and then once they start moving you, you are at their mercy and on their time window. I understand that movers need to take a break especially in the heat; however, the movers that I had took numerous breaks and did not notify me. They spent more time trying to figure out how to load the truck than actually loading the truck Then they told me they couldnt fit my stuff on. Called the office they said thanks for calling.

The American eagle Moving & Transport was great, I highly recommend them. The email correspondence with them was extremely helpful and straightforward. The drivers arrived promptly and called me on my mobile to let me know they were here. They wrapped any delicate items carefully and dismantled any furniture that was too big to fit through the door.Everything was loaded onto the van promptly and delivered safely. They unloaded everything the other end and put furniture back together.A great service highly recommended!

UPDATE: I spoke with Ian and we discussed what had happened. Overall he was very sorry about the situation and wanted to make it right. I respect him for that and want to reflect my rating as the overall move was great. Mistakes do happen and the company wanted to try and make it right.The sad thing is the move was pretty good overall, other than the movers breaking my table, but mistakes do happen and they tried to help provide guidance on getting this fixed.The one star is for their operations manager, Ian. They have a policy that you have to file a claim within 48 hours, but they can take their time with getting back to you. They first question you on why this happened. Honestly, you should ask your movers why it happened and ask us if we saw anything different. Not, “just making sure his stories match up.” The pictures we have sent you should be all of the evidence you need. We were then told they would work on the paper work to help get us reimbursed for the damages.Another week went by and we still had not heard from Ian or the company. I received another call from Ian and he asked if they could just send someone out to fix it. I said absolutely, in the end that is all we want. I did tell him that we really needed it done by the weekend, it had been about 3 weeks and he was just now getting around to this. He said I will check with my guy and call you back this afternoon or tomorrow morning at the latest. I still have not heard from Ian. If you set an expectation you are going to call someone then you need to do it. Even if you are still working on it, it would be nice to be updated during the time you promised you would call. We had to find another way around this and get it fixed ourselves.Movers were great but I cannot in good faith recommend your company due to the poor customer service and lack of professionalism by one of your managers.

David and Hakeem worked quickly and handled my move with ease today. They were on time and professional in appearance and care that they took with my items. Id definitely use this moving company again. Thanks.

Alvin and Tanner were great! They arrived in timely manner, they were kind to me during a difficult time, they worked quickly and tried to help get me moved as quickly as possible so I could save money. But they were also careful with my stuff and my walls.

DO NOT USE AMERICAN EAGLE!! They will overcharge you and break your items!! I had a coupon and still paid $850 to move a 2 bedroom apartment that had no living room furniture. THEN. The movers dropped my 48 bedroom TV and it no longer works. You know what they offered me?? $0.38 per pound of the weight of the TV!!!!!! That comes out to lie $50 for my $350 TV!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Darius, James, and Chris were fantastic! We had an evening move, and I know these guys had already been working all morning. They COMPLETELY filled up their 26 Ft. truck. They worked hard and were fast. Some of these items were super heavy but they made it through the nearly 5 hour move that would have taken most people all day. I dont know how they have the stamina to do the work they do. All three were super nice the whole time. Good job guys!

This is our third experience using American Eagle and every time has been terrific! Seth and Gabriel helped me today and Seth actually jogged back and fourth from the truck to the storage unit. They were fantastic! I highly recommend this company. Thank you so very much!!!
