Some days they have good deals. Others meh. Service is meh

Overall, Michaels is a great store. My only complaint is that the selection of paint and drawing materials online is not necessarily reflected in the store. There are times when I need something and dont want to wait for it to be shipped. The stores location is good and I do not have to travel far to get to the store and to other Michaels locations. It can be worth it to shop more than one Michaels store because I have noticed that different stores sometimes stock items that you cannot find in other stores.

Things are much easier to find than i remember. Lots of cool stuff but the things I am hunting for always seem to be low in stock so I have to try other Michaels stores to find them.

Very nice store, some inventory was low, but over all, good store.

Came in here with a friend for scrapbooking supplies but many of the shelves had hardly anything on them and there was very little paper to choose from an individual sheets. When we asked the salesperson if they were on sale or something she said she didnt think so and that she knew they were low and didnt know when or if they would be getting anymore.

Very clean, nice staff who said hello when I passed. When I had a question about yarn stock, an employee was very quick to help and check to see if it was part of the shipment they just received and what other stores it was available at. Checking out was quick, well appointed for Covid precautions, and very polite. I was very impressed with all aspects of my visit.

Will not come here again. Forgot my coupon and the old lady wouldnt give me the 20 percent off. I know she could have but just wanted to be mean. I forgot my coupon before and the other Michaels on 66th st did it for me.

Most affordable place to find just about any art supply need.

Aisles are difficult to maneuver with my wifes wheelchair. Especially close to the register.

Great people working there, but this is gonna go down as the worst big box shopping experience ive had in a while. They have full price or 70% off and during full price you just have to wait till the next sale. Amazingly inefficient.

Got some art supplies to do some Bob Ross paintings. Great store. I feel more creative just walking around in there looking at stuff.

The store was a little picked over, but its the middle of a pandemic so thats somewhat understandable. It was clean and the staff were helpful. The store was fully accessible with my walker without any problems.

I was alarmed to see multiple staff wearing their masks incorrectly. One had slide down below her nose but another staffer was wearing hers on her chin while working and on her way to take a break. I plan on calling the manager to give my feedback. I have not felt this unsafe in a store in a while.The cashier was very kind.

I dropped off another picture for frame and matting. The staff in that dept. are all great at helping with selecting different colors and styles. Always better than my ideas!Their prices are great, more than fair considering the finished product is as I said better than my original design, a real bargin.Thanks again Michaels!!!

I appreciate how this store tends to be slightly more organized and tidy than some other locations. I’ve never had a problem with anyone on Michael’s staff and across the board they seem friendly and approachable. Michael’s return shoppers will get what they expect here.

Good inventory with good prices on jewelry beads, Xmas wares and Valentine too.

Every time I go to Michaels, the shelves are half empty. Its like they dont have time to re-stock. Maybe corporate should hire enough employees to be able to put the products on the shelves as well as work the cash registers.And I can never find an employee to help me. I was asked at this visit by another shopper if I worked there, so other people were having the same problem.

Went in to get original artwork pieces framed. Had two pieces sort of awkwardly shaped; no frames for their size. Asked the customer service rep what to do, and she was super knowledgeable and friendly. She suggested ideas, even walked me to where I needed to go. I chose to go with a matte and a pre-made frame. Service was supposed to be two days, it was done the next afternoon. And the result is stunning and I couldnt be happier! Thanks for such a well done job Michaels!!!

Today September 16 of 2020 I called to check on stock on white T-shirts and I got on hold for 20 minutes the first time, I had to hang up. Called back immediately and got put on hold for another 15 minutes with no response. I hang up and try calling again and at that point the kept hanging on me.This is not acceptable to wait for that long and not get someone to help. I’m sorry but your customer service deserves no stars, you are lucky I’m able to leave a 1 star.Please work on your customer service on the phone and in the store; it is very important for a business to keep alive.Work as if you have owned the place make people welcome, especial and appreciated because we customers make it happen for you.

This is such a fun store to explore, they have everything you need for art projects and creative gift giving.

I came here looking for help with a specific need in photo albums. The choices were good but not quite what I needed. The staff were friendly. The most knowledgeable help on the products came from other shoppers.

I wanted a tote they said was in stock, but the lady that was behind the counter were the frames was, she said she didnt want to open the boxes to come back another day!

Great experience!! The employees were warm & welcoming. I asked for the location of an item and said I was just a beginner at this type of hand lettering. This employee went above & beyond to show me different products to use & what would be better to start out with. She also showed me several books for ideas & was very knowledgeable in this area because she enjoys it too!! I didnt feel pressured or ignored, just the right amount of help!!

The Michaels website displayed an ad on the weekly sale page for BOGO free one regular priced item. The new cashier didnt know how to ring up the sale so she sent me back to frames where I had to wait 20 minutes before being able to speak with another employee, Maj. Maj claimed I could not get the sale, even though she admitted the ad did say BOGO free one regular priced item. What really bothers me is that even if an ad is incorrect, the store should still honor it because it is published on their website (not a third party site). There also wasnt a reason for the ad to be mistaken. It was not expired and was posted right there on Michaels website. It feels like they are trying to keep people from using the sales, which I look for before shopping. Im not going back because it was such a waste of time for something that could have been easily avoided.

Stuff is dirt cheap and staff helped me get a huge coupon for a major discount.

My stars have more to do with fact I was finally able to find the $4 grab bags Ive been looking for forever. Its not a very big Michaels, but they seem to have just about everything a crafter needs.

AMAZING staff!! I ordered a desk from online and came to pick it up and the employee was super nice. She helped me right away and even helped carry it to my car. She was seriously the sweetest! She was working at the pick up counter, and has blonde long hair, like age 18-21? Let her know she did great!

Today was the second time I tried to pick up my curb side order and they can’t to bring the bags in my car.The first time they were to busy and today, second time they asked me to go inside of the store because they couldn’t go outside.I’m so disappointed with the store, I don’t buy anymore in person because always have long lines at the cashiers and the mane get never helps. MY ITEMS WERE NOT PROPERLY TOTALLED. WHEN I REQUESTED A FULL RETURN, THEY SHORTCHANGED ME. AFTER A SECOND ATTEMPT AT RETURNING MY ITEMS, THEY STILL SHORTCHANGED ME (albeit, less the second time). WHEN I POINTED THIS OUT, THE CASHIER JUST SAID, SORRY.This might be the first one star review Ive ever given. I love Michaels, shop at the Shakopee store at least once a week and have never had a negative experience in any store until I visited this one. My cashier assured me that she entered my phone number to access my rewards and that she applied my 40% off one item coupon. She didnt. She also incorrectly rang up my items. I asked to do a full return. Another cashier helped me with this (after I waited for at least another 15 minutes) because my first one couldnt competently do it. I dont necessarily fault my original cashier - I do question the training she received however. When I was handed my cash during my return, it was over $5 short. I never received a paper receipt but luckily had it in my email account. I pulled it up, showed the cashier helping me (who by the way, appeared to be in a lead/manager position). After another several minutes, she STILL shortchanged me. After letting her know, this second cashier simply said, Sorry. The line was getting long, I was tired of waiting, and it was under a dollar, so I left. I will NEVER shop at this location again.

I love shopping at Michaels craft store. They have a wide variety and great selection of items to craft items,fabric & more. This is my #1 best store to shop at for items I always need or want. I love there jewelry area too. I just bought some cute and nice jewelry charms & etc that I love there. I plan to go back soon. The Best Craft Store in history. Micheals is always a place of inspiration and temptation. This location, located near a World Plus Market and a Trader Joes, is brightly lit, well-organized and a crew ready to assist you find that yarn, paper, paint, holiday decoration. They always have classes available directed to kids & adults. Get in their loyalty club for additional coupons and deals.

Kind of a crowded store in terms of lay out, but nothing too overwhelming. Its a pretty standard Michaels, if you want some decent art supplies, home decor, childrens creative kits, and seasonal decorations its your place. This store is almost always clean and the staff are friendly enough.

I love this place! i have many crafty hobbies and i get almost all of my supplies here.

Really could use larger signage. Not sure the reason for such dinky little signs. Kept running into customers while trying to get close enough to signs to read them. Plus, wish they wouldnt utilize the bottom row of shelves for tiny bottles of paint. Its close to impossible for customers with any agility issues to get down that low to retrieve and put back bottles. And frustrating to discover bottle was in wrong slot. Try to find assist? Mmm? No.

So much to look at. I wish I was a more accomplished artist. Wife loves the place, she could spend hours scheming plans and projects.

Michaels is one of my favorite stores. It is Mainly a craft supplies store, but also sells childrens items, holiday-themed decorations, art supplies, baking supplies and yarn....lots and lots of yarn.Any time I go there the staff is helpful but not pushy. Also there are always coupons for anything not already on sale.There are a few differences in what each individual store carries, but Ive had employees be able to check stock from other nearby Michaels stores when they cant find the exact item I needed.Great place!

Amazing selection of everything arts and craft

Ordered something online for store pickup and for some reason it didnt show up. No customer service available except Mike bot, put on hold indefinitely for a real person. Unfortunately, this is a gift for someone and Ive no choice during covid to find this elsewhere. Argh!

They have a black paged sketch book. That with the silver oil paint pens makes a great gift. They also have cool watercolor brushes that you fill with water. Careful not to dip two competing colors together and mess up your art.

Shelves seemed bare. A lot of things out of stock... Difficulty using my discount...

(During Covid Review) - NOT ACTUALLY OPEN, LONG WAITING TIMES. I am completing a design drawing class, when my markers run out and i need to quickly purchase two Prismacolor Cool markers.So i look online to find that Michaels is going to be opening at 10 AM, Surprising because most michaels stores are closed during these pandemic times.I get there, and theyve got a sign saying that I need to go online to order and then pick up the order, I am disappointed that I am unable to go into the store for my two lowly items, but I think it will be alright since I am there and I have only two items. That IS NOT the case!I get the order through at 10, I sit in the parking lot for around 30 minutes watching as cars keep going by the front for pickup, until I realized how long is this going to take?I call the store and politely ask if there is anyway to get my two markers that I have already ordered. She say no because there is over 90 people with orders before mine!!Now, having a knowledge of what Michaels sells, it is very possible that these 90+ orders contain things that require no urgency to get into the hands of customers, such as Puzzles, Coloring Books, Sesonal Items, and Home decor!Michaels NEEDS to have a priority, or even a express option within their orders. Many Students from the metro area need art supplies for school projects, and this Michaels is one of the only Art stores that seems to be OPEN. With the school year coming to the end this company should be focusing on purchases for students and not anything else. It is now 4 PM and the order still hasnt been completed and I have definitely failed this assignment that needed the markers. -_-Within a physical space such as a brand store OPEN means OPEN to customers to allow them to come IN. Please Avoid this store during corona time wait times are way too long!! I am sure amazon with their delayed shipping will be much more quick in shipping out products that you need compared to this Stores Pick-up option.

Every time I go to this location, I remember why I go to a further location or skip Michaels altogether and go to Joanns or Hobby Lobby, both only about a mile away. Once again I left empty handed without the item I went in for. They had it, according to their website, but I spent 30 minutes walking around looking for the item or a sales associate to help me. In that 30 minutes, the only employee I saw was a cashier as I was leaving the store.

Best place to find your arts and crafts needs. Prices are great and they normally have good coupons.

They were out of stock at this store but an employee called over to the closest store in Richfield to put some on hold for me to pick up. Also, every time I go in there are great deals and very friendly staff to help you out. Highly recommend you shop here, especially if youre planning a wedding or other big event.

Aweome craft and party supply. Good price. Flip-flops are $1. White plain sneakers are $5. Plain tees are ranged from $3-5. Good to grab for kids school projects.

Service is extremely poor in custom framing. I was quoted a price on the phone with their custom framing salesperson, James, who had all of the details for my custom order already in their system. I was quoted a promotional price that would be available only for one day, so I carefully took my piece over to the store in the snow the same day...only to be told it was actually going to cost $300+ more than the amount I was quoted an hour earlier over the phone. Nothing was done to accommodate for their mistake and we will not use them in the future.

Not as many premade things like hobby lobby but has the same good deals.Staff arent always helpful and sometimes take a long time to answer your questions because they also dont know the answer.
