The quality of service at this location raised suspicion when I found false claims on their invoice of what was inspected:First of all, I brought my vehicle to this facility with the oil level actually overfilled, however they falsely identified it as “LOW”.Secondly, after completing their oil change, they falsely marked that the power steering fluid was “FULL”. I actually had to top off the power steering fluid myself at home after hearing the sound of low hydraulics in the steering.Third, they marked on the invoice “tire pressure checked”. I watched the servicemen the entire time and at no point has anyone checked any of the tires.Finally, they falsely claimed that they “reset oil change”. Immediately entering into the car, I noticed that they had not done that and did it manually myself.Aside from those things, the service was very quick, very polite, and a very good price. Also I greatly appreciate them offering a discount for veterans.Most places allow you to remain in your vehicle and communicate to you all the checks that are being done. This place prefers to have you go into a lobby away from where the work is being done, so all you have is the word of the mechanics that they did what they claim to have done.

I always have a pleasant and professional experience when I visit the Grease Monkey location in Bolingbrook. The owners know me by name and remember the service that was provided previously. Their prices are reasonable and the work is superb. They are efficient and always prompt with their services. They are very knowledgeable and provide the best suggestions that fits the customers needs.Willie and Shelly are phenomenal owners and I would recommend everyone to visit this location and receive supreme service. You will not regret it.

I am new to the neighborhood so decided to google a shop to work on my headlights. Shelly and Willie were amazing! Willie walked me to the waiting area Shelly explained what services my vehicle needed. Truly amazing customer service! Must visit them you wont regret it.

I actually love this place. The people are honest and informative and they do a fantastic job. I have a really hard time feeling comfortable taking my car anywhere and yes it’s mostly oil changes I get here but I got my brakes done and they did such a great job. I truly recommend them. And prices weren’t bad. The brakes might of been a lil higher than other places if I had called more places than i did for basic quotes (i called 3 others for perspective) but they got my brakes done same day and I was comfortable and felt good about it. Sometimes that matters more than finding the “cheapest” price.

I was the only customer. Service still took well over an hour. Associate took 20 min just to change license plate bulb. That was a mistake. During which time, the male assoc checked tire inflation. BIG mistake. Broke the stem off the rear passenger tire. Now flat. Told me he never touched it. Then what was the pop sound and all the air? No response. Then tried to put cap on, to stop the air from rushing out. Had to spend $125 across the street to replace tire and sensor. No monkeying around. Will NEVER come back, nor recommend anyone use this business. All together, $200 for what was supposed to be just an oil change and filter.

This is the ONLY place I will go to get my oil changed in my F250 diesel.Every time I pull up to the door Im greeted with the energetic and personable lady named Shelly. Shes even greeted me by name this time. I find that extremely awesome and somewhat amazing that she remembers me. ( as we know we get our oil changed every like 3 months) And thats something that someone thats takes pride in their job does. Ive gone to Grease Monkey for years, and Ive always had a positive experience when getting my oil changed. But my most recent visits there have been especially nice thanks to Shelly. Not only is she knowledgeable about auto care, she demonstrates impeccable customer service. Its so awesome to see a woman working in the auto industry--Its even cooler to see one whos so darn good at what she does. I highly recommend both her and the shop.

Went in for oil change and filter. They managed to break the casing. Had to go to another mechanic to fix as returning to them 3 times could not resolve the issue. Reported to BBB with invoice and license and they could not find my service record. Grease monkey? More like Slimy monkies........good luck!

Grease monkey has been my go to oil change service place for many years. Between my familys six cars we use grease monkey for every single one of them. Overall it has been a great experience. There is never a wait longer than 10 minutes to drop off the car. Usually I can drop off a car in the morning and pick it up for a few hours have gone by. The workers are generally nice. They do not upsell and other services like many mechanics try to do. If you want just a simple oil change with no other add-ons this is the place for you to come. It looks like recently theyve had a management overhaul so well see how that goes. Also it is very important to note that on their website you can find a $10 off for an oil change. Sometimes theyll mail you a coupon in the mail and got him but if you dont have one of those you can always check out the website for the deal.

Either the workers are lazy or just didn’t wanna work and the first two cars of the day but simply told my girlfriend that she had a major oil leak and that they won’t do a oil change. So they told her that she has to take it to a mechanic immediately so they gave her the keys and that was it.... guy said that she has no oil at all so why not give some oil so when can get it to a mechanic he didn’t offer anything and just handed over the keys we took it down the street come to find out she had no leaks and that the truck was just burning a little oil won’t go back again

This place has lost my business. They were my go-to oil change for years, but lately theyve gotten very pushy with the upcharges. Theres absolutely no need for a 13 year old minivan to need $70 synthetic oil changes, despite their near insistence. Why is it that so many quick oil change places are so bad? Many times nowadays the dealer can do your oil change cheaper - its just not as convenient.

I had my van oil change. Has only 46,000 miles after oil change done brought home next day saw transmission fluid leak puzzle not like that before. So I went jiffy lube have them check transmission pan they notice. Grease monkey did unscrew couple bolts on transmission. That MF are horrible need zero star .

I went here to get a last minute oil change, since I was in the area. The staff and owner were very friendly and very good service. I will definitely be going back for my next oil change. Also you get a free car wash with your oil change so that’s a plus!!!

Took 40mins for oil change, but looked at everything needing attention.

They over filled my oil and damaged my catalytic converter.. thats a $400 part that I have to replace . thanks a lot !

I would highly recommend staying away from this place.I went in for an oil change on 07/03/2020 and they recommended a few things. They recommend the drain plug needed to be replace do to rust. 2. they recommend I needed fuel injector due to bad MPG. 3. Engine has a oil leak. I took the vehicle to where I work where an ASE mechanic looked at it and said all three issues were false. The plug does not need to be replaced if the threads are good (which they where) no fuel cleaner needed because of the high octane gas used and no evidence of an oil leak nor any dripping on the floor of the garage floor. Please stay away from this place and take your vehicle to an ASE mechanic for service.

Would not give me an oil change, said I had oil leak and sent me to Amerimex. Amerimex said I needed a new motor. No oil leak and I needed a fuel pump. They both suck!

Excellent service. Went for an oil change and a few other minor issues. Was able to get advice on a larger suspension repair for my 20 year old car. The price was right and will be returning for that repair this week or next.All repairs were clearly explained and approved before work started.

I have been going to this location for years and just came today get my oil changed and was told they were under new management. I will never return to this location and I hope this message gets out to all of Bolingbrook. They told my I needed the more expensive oil even though the dealership where I bought my car never put this kind of oil in. They also tried to sell me on over $400.00 of additional work that was not necessary. The old management was fair and this new management is only trying to make an extra dollar. Again, I will never be back or recommend this location.

Went in for oil change. Shop tech tells me that using conventional oil will severely damage the engine. I have never heard that before and have been going to other grease monkeys....on a truck still running after 23 years on conventional no problems. Explained that to the tech who then told me off the property. Terrible service. Avoid this Bolingbrook shop, their reviews should tell you they dont care.

I found Grease Monkey on Google but read reviews first. I was not disappointed. Fast (about 20 minutes), thorough, professional service. No pushy sales tactics, but rather fair suggestions of additional services offered beyond the regular oil change I came in for. And their prices were competitive. Of the three different employees I dealt with, all were friendly and gave me the reassurance they were good at their jobs and knew what they were talking about. Real pros. Daniel in particular deserves additional praise. Ill be a regular customer.

They owe me a star ⭐ or 2, main attendant was very negative and demanding! He expected me to follow his orders and did not make requests of me. Tone was negative, just not a place I will patronize. Didnt get anything done because of this.

Came here for an oil change and theyve shown me things that multiple mechanic shops have missed. If you need just an oil change come here, your in good hands, they pointed out a cleaning service ive needed that would be 70 dollars than another shope had charged me hundred for qnd didnt even do correctly, keep up the good work greese monkey ill definitely be coming back, a few days later I came back for a fuel system treatment, a different shop charged me a couple hundred dollars and grease monkey was able to show it wasnt done right, heres the kicker at this shop it was no more than 70 dollars, and its done correctly, and when I press my gass it feels like it did 35k miles ago, feels brand new again and I couldnt be happier

Had a horrible experience with Grease Monkey. Was going here for several to get my oil change and other mechanic work done on my car until I found out they lie to me about changing parts in my car. The mechanic lie to just to take my money. The sad thing is that person still works for grease monkey and the company will not own the blame for there wrong doing. To say the least I wouldn’t never go back again.

Went to this place to get a light bulb fixed drove up workers smoking outside. One worker decided to talk me out of getting the work done there. I was told an exaggerated story about what was wrong with my light and said I should call a dealer or a mechanic. I called the dealer only to find out nothing I was told was true. They just didn’t want to do the work.

Popped in not expecting much, just a spur of the moment oil change- Willy and the team went above and beyond to make sure my experience was 12/10. Definitely will be back!

Excellent couldnt ask for better service

I pulled up and waited several minutes to be greeted. The gentleman that came out immediatelty stated my oil change would be $92 before he even said hello. He stated they can only use what the vehicle model calls for which is full synthetic he claims. While I understand Volkswagon is a German vehicle with specifications I have used conventional every time including other GM locations. In fact I used to work as a lead hood tech for many years. Not a single recommendation and walked away. Very frustrating and will not return.

My son took his 2007 Audi Q7 to Grease Monkey for a simple oil change. After oil change, he called me to meet him to jump start his car. It took almost 1 1/2 hrs before his vehicle started, but when it did it blew us away. Went from a smooth, silent sounding vehicle to sounding like a big rig with engine issues. Took car back to Grease Monkey for them to explain what happened. The guy at grease monkey said something is wrong & suggested vehicle be towed to mechanic which they paid for. Shop where car is told my son he needs new engine because Grease Monkey put too much oil in car!! 3 quarts over whats allowed!! How can this happen when all they talk about is how certified they are. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO MY WORST ENEMY!!! They need to pay for repairs!!!

They found the source of my oil leak (broken pvc valve) and had the part ordered and installed within an hour. Cudos to the whole crew

I came for a Basic oil change. The women took my keys and told me to sit down. Not one time I was told the price. I have been here many times and I payed 19.99 today I was told $48.00 for WHAT! I said Baasic oil change. The manager said he would give me $10.00 off . Please telle where 10.00 off is _45.00 . The Manager can not count. They are Not Professional they are Crooks. Do not go to this place it is NOT the same as Before they were before for they caried for the customer.

I had been going to this establishment even before it became Grease Monkey. It is certainly not the same level of service and I would not recommend it because my car never ran the same again. They appear to be emphasizing certain points of service such as timeliness, but if your car does not function well after the service, it doesnt matter. Save yourself a lot of trouble and avoid this place.
