Samanthas doing the best she can7/20/21! Hanging tuff. Doing great job. Great food! 300 truck parking spaces. 3 hours free parking. Nice sitting area. I had 3 eggs over easy. Crispy bacon. Home fries. Wheat toast. Less than $10. Good price. Back in here to get the same and Jori is here keeping America Rolling. Thank you all! God Bless
Good place. Good food and if you like liver and onions I definitely recommend them here. Great service, very nice clean showers. Definitely recommend 👌
First time I didn’t leave a tip. I didn’t feel comfortable tipping for no service, or acknowledging my presence as a customer. But homey comes strolling into restaurant and I’m placed in the back of line. I normally tip 50-100% sometimes more for pregnant women or older ladies who been there done that and know how to get things done. This waitress was just, I’ll get to you when I can but I’m busy here! Duh! That’s why people come here, to eat and you SERVE them, thus good service, friendly atmosphere equals good tip and a job well done.
Never will I return. Restaurant has short hours now. Not open on Sunday. And they want to charge you 40 bucks to just drop your trailer to go get breakfast. Yea Christianed owned huh. More like owned by biden.
Nice restrooms, a small truckers lounge with a view, got my trailer washed out there and some decent meatloaf with mashed potatoes gravy and veggies.
Good place for parking $15.00 but a lot of trash in the parking lot. Restroom and showers are nice and clean. Restaurant is clean and waitress is nice but you can tell most of the food was heated up out of a can and powdered eggs for omelets, it would be a goldmine if the food was prepared fresh
One of the nicest truck stops. Everything was excellent. Showers were incredibly nice. As much as I hate the Chicago area no issues if Im able to shut down there. Not too happy with the parking price but that probably wont change. Hopefully the parking fee will go towards more necessities for drivers. 🤞
Paying $15 to park is not a bad deal. Its pretty quiet. Very nice restrooms and showers and a great place to eat.
Great truck stop! Awesome food and attentive wait staff in the restaurant, and you cant overstate the important of friendly smiling faces at the diesel desk and at the parking attendant booth! I always try to stop in for a bite to eat at the very least, and all the big cities have paid parking places. Its a small price to pay for peace of mind and peace and quiet!
Best place to stop on this side of Chicago,.a bit pricey but you get what you pay for.
Remodel truckstop wow its excellent the restrooms and showers are very elegant clean showers and restrooms. Till someone that still hasnt learned how the sprinkle correctly . Yet Man a train dog can do better then most humans what a shame. Sorry dont mean too. Offend anyone.Be Courteous about others. If its clean when you got on that toilet leave it clean. Someone with a kid my need the toilet. Some people being there kids with them into this truckstops. Dont sprinkle all over the sit. Step 1 lift the sit step 2 zip down an shot straight. Now is that to Difficult for you.A well the restaurant has good food big servings I like the ham and cheese omelet. With American fries. Big parking lot they charge I think its 10 bucks ii hope so. I have aint stay there in good while. I try to find the pics for the showers and restrooms.Well its a nice truckstop keep it clean drivers. They went out there way to fix so elegant. Lets keep it that way. They did have too do all this. For the truckers and Anyone else that will visit this place. Thank you 55 so much for the excellent touch. I appreciate you being a part of our lives . Thank you so much. God bless you.Be safe out there. May the Lord keep safe out there on the BIG road get you home safely everytime so you can see you family. There aint no load worth drying for driver. You get home safely to mama and the kids. Be blessed.STAY SAFE TRAVELING THE GOOD OLD USA.
Nice people work there. Cool place too!
No words, just emotions. If you dont believe me check this truckstop your self.
REPAIR SHOP REVIEW: Do Not use their repair shop!!!! They did an all change on 2014 Volvo with D13 engine, They charged me $450, They didnt lubricate truck and chasis at all, And they added 2 gallons of oil over the maximum line on your oil level stick!!! Do you even know what that means if somebody put you 2 gallons over maximum !?? That means that at oil will need to go out somewhere, That means that oil will go out thru engine gaskets through your exhaust etc! Thats something you do only to your worst enemy. I put the truck back in shop to drain down the oil, End as an excuse for not lubricating the truck they said they run out of the grease, Can you even imagine that? And you can do the PM and not telling me that you did that lubricate the truck and charge me enormously high price or $450 ???Wow, Never again. And yes dont even bother to wash your truck there, They will take you $35 in your truck will be exactly the same dirty as it was when you came in. They dont use shampoo and they do not use Brightner.
The waitress was awesome, but the cashiers were not. Food was really good.
They had everything in there and the wash rooms were so fancy OMG for a truck stop
Roads are pitiful.. dont take your new car auto touring.. its rough roads.
Food was good, What sucked was the restaurant closed at 2 pm on Saturday and closed all day Sunday. No shower cleaner on duty at night ..
Its close to town and easy to get to. Buy a little fuel park and be comfortable in the metro area.
IF YOURE THINKING ABOUT PARKING HERE MAKE SURE YOU FUEL UP 75 TO 85 GALS HERE TO GET FREE PARKING!!! TRUCKERS BEWARE!!!
Awsome place plenty of parking 15 dollars was there for 14 hrs plus near industrial park
Nope Wont pay for parking. That is ridiculous.. Going somewhere else instead.
Great stop for the night. 12 for parking is cheap for Chicago. Plenty of parking at 7pm on Friday night. Staff are friendly. Fantastic pizza spot across the street. If you are good at frogger you will get the pie.Could use some breakfast but coffee is good. Will be back soon.
My fellow truckers if you looking for a spot for parking it’s the place always you find a parking, yes the cost is $12 for 24 hours, it’s cheaper for me because i pay more in other places where no have restaurant, clean restrooms and the personal has been rudeThe restroom was amazing (very clean) and very important not missing you parking ticket otherwise you pay $300 For that I give 4 stars, however I recommend this place
Had a sad burger for dinner. My companion had an extremely sad meat loaf. The veggies tasted like belly button funk and the mashed potatoes were watered down and a weird color. Their breakfast was, in contrast, pretty good. Server was spunky and friendly. Great shower upstairs, safe (but not free) tractor/trailer parking out back.
Do not lose your parking ticket!! Nice folks and its a parking spot in Chicago. There is room for about 250-300 trucks here. I have NEVER seen it full, regardless of what an app might say. Nice hot showers, and the restaurant is good when its open(thanks COVID-19).
Restaurant is good but the gaurd at the exit gate completely lacks customer service skills. Rude just for the sake of being rude it seems. I will never return.
Yesterday my driver came to you to change the service line on white Mack your mechanics got mixed up with red and blue hoses. my driver saw this when trying to hook the trailer
My one complaint? Paid parking, its unnecessary, and will turn away people more than anything else. On the other hand, the staff is amazing, super friendly both in the restaurant and in the store. The highlight for me though, was the BEAUTIFUL showers. I was amazed and in awe at the beauty of them. I might have even given 5 stars if not for the fact that there was no floor towel provided, and the wash rag was a shop rag?? That aside it was a great experience I will be back for sure!
This was my 2nd time stopping here 1st time just for a trailer washout and go.This wasnt my idle truck stop. Im use to Loves. 2nd time was 8/17 took my 10hour break loves was to far and I was running out of hour. When people say dont judge a book by its cover this place is what there were Referring to. Very nice ladies that worked the fuel desk and the service desk were you get your showers and trailer washout receipts. The restaurant the was excellent!! Try the BLT Club. Drivers its not home but what truck stop is. They have everything you expect cigarettes you can work across the street for those. Stop by you want be disappointed believe that. Remember we move the world be safe Driver.
Good truck stop. Has a washout bay in the repair shop. That sometimes takes awhile. Repair work is quick and well done. Restuarant serves good food wait time is good. Bathrooms are spacious and clean. Lots of parking. I think either 2 or 3 hours free.
A place to sleep if you ran out of hours. Unlike ta and petro in major cities such as baltimore, atlanta, la and such they require you fill up atleast 75 bucks for free parking, even wifh a 50 fill up and spending over 40 bucks in the store they wouldnt give free parking or a discount. 300 bucks if you loose the ticket when you enter the property, in all honesty the speedway across the street is better with free parking, cheaper fuel price and better variety of items in the store than this place. Wont be staying or stopping here again.
Friendly staff, good gas prices. Has a restaraunt with good food. Plenty of space for semi overnight parking. Showers
For where I was going in Romeoville had to park at the truck stop because of no parking at my 1st pickup. Was not too mad for cleanness but they sure could have mowed the grass around the perimeter. Oh, coke machine was broke.
They dont sell smokes and parking went up to 15.00.
Got there at 3pm. Beautiful sunny day, and the restaurant was closed. For 12 bucks to park the least you could do is have the restaurant open for us truckers. Oh wait but WE THANK YOU TRUCKERS FOR ALL YALL DO, now go starve
I rescind my previous post. I thought they charged me $25 to park. They did not. Sorry about that. Different place. Shame on.... that other place.
Great food good service
Very nice truck stop. Has everything a driver needs. It does not deal in tobacco or alcohol though.if you want these products you will have to look elsewhere. The owner has spent a great deal of time and money renovating the inside. I have been coming here for over a decade and its alot better then it used to be. The staff are always friendly. They work hard trying to keep inside clean as well using bleach and disinfect. It may cost to park, shower etc. and food may be more expensive then McDonalds or Arbys at major truck stop but you get what you pay for. It is peaceful here and plenty of parking and there isnt a long wait to use shower, do laundry, fuel etc. like at major truck stop.
Just feel the $$$$ floating out your wallet the sec you pull in off 53 they dont give u a break on anything. Efs check cashed free everywhere else with fuel purchase but not here.. Even with my fuel purchase i paid $6 to cash. Coffee $4 FOR A FRIGGIN REFILL!!! DONT GET MY STARTED ON PARKING LOL they were towing a guys truck and trailer for being parked passed the allowed time . FIRST AND LAST TIME IM EVER COMING HERE.Im sorry for being so negative but o just doin feel this place appreciates truckers .
Cashiers are rood af😒 honestly take your business elsewhere. Paying triple price for product and people being rood as hell.
It Was great. Thank u
Beautiful environment the place is so clean that I hope they reword this young man has dedicated his time in cleaning God bless him greatly the showers are speechless.Toilets as well.I give him a 10 star. This place made my day so relaxing with the gospil music i wouldnt want to leave .Dinner was great the waitress was as well super sweet as she can be.God bless everyone I will come again
One of my favorite restaurants..Only problem..Only get 1 cup coffee..Rarely give refills..Have to walk to register with ur empty cup..Its only 7am to 11amI noticed this..
I liked Jory a waitress there she very nice makes you fell welcomed. Food pretty good too!!
Went for the restaurant and it was closed even though Google maps said it is open
Diner inside a truck stop.. Good food and service..
Restaurant waitress great,, meatloaf dinner gross. Pay for parking at a truck stop is ridiculous.
The waitress here at nights is rude and just pulls my cup away without asking for me to pick up my from leaning on it and than doesnt ask what kind of meat I wanted for my hot open face sandwich, manager didnt really wanna do a whole lot about it!! Will never come back here I would have rather at in the truck than spending money here!!
Visited briefly. Clean updated bathrooms. German food on shelves. Interesting little truck stop. Has a restaurant, but we did not eat there. So not sure about the food. Looked nice enough. Parking is $12 & if you lose your parking ticket its $300 per sign when exiting the parking lot.
Nice place nice place very friendly the help was friendly the help was very nice also young lady behind the counter amazing
Restaurant close at 7 pm,no chicken, no grits, didnt really have much parking cost was good...location was great
Edit to add: I was here a week ago! I didn’t have to put up with the heavier set woman, so everyone else was really nice! But the smell outside is horrible! Something needs to be fixed, I hate having to hold my breathe until I get inside so I can try to avoid the smell!!The food was pretty good! Kinda different to have sausage gravy on chicken fried steak, but still good with lots of flavor! Bathroom and showers were pretty nice! But I felt like every employee had an attitude! The heavier set lady was very rude. We did not feel welcomed, and felt as if we were bothering her!I think I’ve dealt with nicer and friendlier cashiers in California at their truck stops then the service I got here!If we return, it’ll be to only do take out on food.
Nice people havent ate there lately
The gate is broke, and the place is flooded, again. Its so bad, I saw animals going two by two into a big boat. The place is graded pootang. Not pootang, poorly, its graded poorly. Damn word prompt.
Other than the hard bun the food was good
The people were nice but they really need to clean their parking lot a lot of garbage stack up and pee containers everywhere.
Nice truck stop a restaurant that has good food. You have to pay to park.
Arived around noon and there was a ton of parking. Its $13.00 for 24 hours, after 3 hours. The lot could use a cleaning and so could the outside of the building. I got breakfast to go from the restaurant and it was great. Waitress was nice and friendly. All in all, not a bad place.
Parking $12 for 24 hours. Huge lot. Will cash a com check. Keep your parking ticket. If you have to weigh a few times use weighmytruck app iincase the printer for the scale ticket jams. There is a weigh station 2 miles south on 55 so if you need to weigh coming up from below exit 263 go south. Its nostalgic. If youre not in a rush with a weight specific load its a really cool place to take a 10.
Good meal good service
OLD SCHOOL TRUCK STOP to all they need is to repave the parking lot clean up the behind the shop, they will get more repet customers.
Only scaled there this time nice lady at check out and the guard at the exit shack is way funny
Great food. Little pricey but very good. Washouts are $45. Dont recommend shop or tire service. $12 to park over 3 hrs. Free with $75 purchase
I would say this place has excellent customer service plus clean bathrooms 🙏🏽.Has also a nice restaurant attached and their food is delicious. I would definitely stop by gain on my way to Chicago. Keep up the good job.
The only reason they got a 3-star is they are trying to remodel it for the better. They also have a bigger array of food that you can make in your truck than most truck stops, which is nice. Here is some things that are wrong:-The area behind this place smells. Really really bad. I almost threw up in my mask.-The restaurant is not open on weekends.-Their fuel aisle only partially works.-The ticket thing does not take card, so you have to go inside to pay. If you lose your ticket, be prepared to pay $300.-Showers are $15, which is normal, BUT you have to pay $1 extra for a towel. The towels are a bit damaged, so it just doesnt seem worth it.
Friendly service and clean bathrooms to go with their CAT scales.
My favorite mom and pop truck stop. Its my go to place while in the Chicagoland area. Pay to park. Everything a driver needs to live comfortably. The diner is absolutely fantastic. Showers are nice, spacious and hot.
This truck stop is a ripoff you have to spend $75.00 for fuel of spend $75.00 in the restaurant or convenience store or the shop otherwise you get changed $12.00 to park here more than 3 hours
12 dollars to park here after 3 hours nice sized parking lot restaurant is still closed and the hot food is expensive $9.99 for a slice of lasagna and $10.99 for a pulled pork sandwich with no sides
Good place to get a trailer washout and grab a cup of coffee. Friendly staff.
Robyn is living the dream ty for what u do better days coming get ready
Plenty of room to park, great spot to stop
Pay to park even if you spend money in store or restaurant.Food is ok. But nothing to brag about.
Trailer washout a little pricey. 45.00
Im rating the food 5 stars, the service from the ladies was outstanding, the only downside to the place is the cost of everything and dont think you can park for free. If you spend $75 or more you get to park without paying. Ill definitely park here again because of the food and service. Also the parking lot never filled up in the 24 hours I was there.
Excellent facilities indoors. Must stop!
Service is slow sometimes but the food makes up for the waiting. Im going to have the Double Nickle Breakfast in the Morning. Got the Hamburger tonight.
$12 dollars to park cool. Except they dont take cards. So they make you drive back in to pay for it at the fuel desk. They have two isles to get into the lot. NO signs that let you know that the right line ticket booth doesnt work. So you got all these truckers all messed up trying to back through the fuel isle to get in the line with the ticket booth that works. Guess what. Take another ticket to get in. Lose it? $300 dollar fee. By the way. They dont take card. So gotta go back around again.
The body shop in this truck stop it the worst one in all Chicago they told you we have everything for your truck and after thay take your truck for fixing They start calling the dealership For the parts and they take you there forever
Updating my review from 5 stars to 3 stars because I cant figure out how to make a new one. The trailer washouts have been really slacking the last few months. I carry nursery and my trailer gets pretty dirty so I am understanding if stuff gets missed, but its everytime the last 4 or more washes. And I will mention to make sure they get whatever part they missed last time, only for them to miss a different area this time. This has been my spot for 3 years now, might be time to move on. I shouldnt have to climb up in my trailer to wipe mud out of my tracks, or off my walls, or under my load locks, or off my doors. Thats what I pay u guys to do.With that said, still good customer service, good food, nice and clean bathrooms, fuel prices usually on the lower side, and lots of parking for free first 3 hours, or if u buy 50 gal fuel or $75 in shop or store. $12 if not.
I will give credit where credit is due, they havent gone too greedy with the parking rates, unlike some other places. $12 a day. No tobacco sold here, so bring your own. They recently renovated, so it is better inside. Restaurant is good, but on the high side price wise. Washout available here. They take EFS and Comdata checks for it.
Wouldve got 6 stars but......Parking is only 12.00!!!!!!!!!!Food is reasonably price and very tasty!!!!!!But.....YOU GOTTA SINCERELY HOLD YOUR BREATH AND DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT, LOOK AT THE BACK OF THE BUILDING area. Did I mention hold your breath as you pass the back of the building and storage and garbage areas.Cheap parking and great food!!!!!
Really delicious food and friendly hardworking service!Highly recommend the steak fajitas if youre in the mood for some flavorful Mexican food!
The diner is good. The waitress that helped this morning was very friendly. And theres a great bar across the street called fatty Magoos
Great Place! I stopped late at night after having one of those horrible days on the road. I had nothing to eat all day. I go inside and found out the restaurant was closed. So while I looked around to find something to eat. Jeff, one of the workers was extremely helpful and kind. While talking to him I found out he was a Teamster and is definitely a Chicagoan. You know the stereotype of a rough and tough guy. He was one of the kindest guys I have ever met! He went the extra mile making sure I had food and napkins. Mallory came over and helped as well. She gave me instructions on how to microwave the food. They actually offered to cook it for me.Gestures like that go a long ways.It really turned my horrible day around. They made me feel like a VIP and the only customer they had. I went back to my truck and eat my food. Got up and went in to the store to get a shower. Very nice Shower and Clean! When I got out of the shower and was leaving. I heard Christian music playing. I love it! It put me in the right mood to conquer the day!I highly recommend this place!
