I bought a used 07 Hyundai Azera and everything was working fine until it just decided not to start. I was told by many it was the starter or security system. I called merlins and spoke with Hussein and he was very helpful and was able to get me in within the next day. They inspected the car and discovered it was the starter that needed to be replaced. Juan who was the mechanic who worked on our car was also very friendly and understanding. He also did his best to make sure we’d be able to drive the vehicle. Thanks guys for your help and customer service!

I normally go for oil changes and at one point more. Be very careful they will cost you more money later. I had several cars over the years and even just stopped going. You go in for a oil change than your car has another $1000 or more issue the next day. Yeah learned lesson. They over charge you for everything if not careful. There are good places that are way cheaper

These guys went out of their way to accommodate me. I am from out of town, I was in a panic and they were so helpful. Turned out there was just a rock wedged in my brakes making a horrible racket. They didnt even charge me for it!!

I went here to have staggered tires mounted and balanced. I came to pick them up and they were totally messed up. They had the front tire on the rear wheel and vise versa. I told them to fix them and when I had to leave work in the middle of the day to pic them up they refused to discount the work. The manager offered no help at all

Try to upsell and bump everything.. I am a car salesman saying that their upsetting was annoying. Its hard to get to what you came in for. Was there from 9am to 3pm for oil change and parking brake. The service tech was good and knowledgeable but the desk guys are just trying to make money while you are trying to get your car fixed.

Hussein and his team have always been honest, attentive, and caring with our vehicles. They even got in a van and went to my wifes car across the parking lot to replace a blown out tire so she didnt have to drive on it and ruin the rim for no extra charge. Ill continue to use this shop for all my vehicle needs!

Can I place a negative 5 stars?! I had a musty smell & whining from inside my dash. The engine heat came through the vents even with the AC/heat off. They diagnosed it as the evaporator core and heater core needing replacement at over $2000 since the labor time alone was about 10 hours. When they said they had it fixed, I went to find my rim all scratched up, the power steering went out on me mid-turn (terrifying moment!), the engine light was on, still whining from the dash and the gas gauge was not working. I told the manager who seems nice and he said to bring it back and he will have it repaired properly. I did. 2nd time they left a bunch of greasy handprints inside my car that I could not remove myself, the dash was falling apart and glovebox scratched up since they did not put it back together properly and yes, the whining behind the dash was still there along with a new engine rumble at stops when driven more than 30 minutes. They ordered a rim and a glovebox and said theyd call a manager to talk to me about the whining from the dash. No one called. 3rd times charm! I go to have the rim replaced, but they ordered the wrong rim and scratched the paint off my car taking it off the lift without any sort of protection. The employees there all scream and yell at each other most times Ive been there. One definitely had dilated pupils and acting like he was high on drugs. My car is still broken almost a month later with no resolution even after talking to the owner! I have no choice, but to take this matter to court now.

I do not recommend this place to anyone because I took my car to this shop for the check engine light and they told me they recommend injector service after he did the injector service he said that it would fix the problem in cylinder #5 and they called me that the truck was ready to pick up and i picked it up then 2 days later the check engine light came on and i called them and complained and they said to bring it back and they called me that it was ready to pick it up and again 2 days later the check engine lights was back on so they never fixed the problem and still charged me $600! I brought my truck so they can fix the problem and they fixed nothing. So everyone be careful when you go to this shop. Im going to call corporate

Had two vehicles in for an oil change went to do them my self and noticed one drain plug was stripped, and both oil filters over tightened also one being the wrong one... on the second drain plug he used a smaller plug and used a silicone so oil wouldn’t drain.. Sad scammers

Went in for an oil change before I left the state and I had to pull over 6 times to keep putting oil in my car because it was leaking out. My car had no problems before them, now I have a cracked oil pan and my check engine light is on. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Complete ripoff! Steer clear away from this place. Initially, Hussein seems understanding and professional but that is an act to make customers trust him. I went to get the brakes for my 2009 Toyota Camry hybrid changed a week ago, and Hussein ended up charging nearly $800.00 to get it replaced. Keep in mind that he only changed the rotors and breakpads and not the caliper (which was supposed to be the expensive part). Nearly every mechanic and internet resource Ive talked to and read has stated that its a $300 job in respect to this specific car.A couple days after the repair the blower motor for the A/C in my car stopped working. Ive owned this car for nearly 10 years and never had this problem before. Its highly suspicious that it stopped working right after I took it to Merlins. Its problematic because the winter season has started making my car extremely frigid and cold.All-in-all, Hussein and Merlins is a scam and theyll charge you as much as they can to make money off you. The quality of work is mediocre at best as my brakes arent in tip-top condition as youd expect from brand-new brakes and an $800 repair job.Again, I warn anyone going to get their car repaired to STAY AWAY from this place.

I really like this Merlin location. They have been accommodating as far as getting my car in around my work schedule and I dont feel that they push me into doing anything. They show me on my car what needs to be done and why, an estimate is provided and the safety concerns are always explained to me.

Very poor experience with this business location. The men staff members are sexist to female customers, they do not provide adequate customer care, they have not performed quality service on my vehicle and my vehicle stopped on me three times while driving on the high way.When I brought my vehicle back in for service on two occasions after my services were incomplete, they were booked and did not service my vehicle, which they did not properly operate on. The managers are rude, and appear to be incompetent in their professional line of work. Instead of diagnosing my vehicle, which was requested of them for price estimating, they over-charged me for the services, arranged a payment plan post extending a line of credit, and the vehicle was still unsafe to operate.The Manager Hussein is initially pleasant then begins to speak over customers when he is challenged to deliver respectful and ethical customer service; Hussein is rude and does not care about the safety of his customers. He also does not follow-up and get the job complete in a timely fashion. My vehicle has been at the location for more than 5 days, and they still have not corrected their auto mechanical error.Due to Husseins unprofessional behavior, some of his staff members mimic his unprofessional ways as well, particularly being sexist to women. I would not recommend this location nor any other Merlin Auto Shop to anyone in search of auto repairs. I am currently asking the Manager, Hussein for a REFUND on the incomplete repairs that I have paid on my vehicle.

I came in for an oil change and to get my AC recharged. The manager and staff were very courteous and friendly I really appreciate theyre insightfulness into the things my vehicle needed. I was in and out of there in a timely matter.

Too pricey they gave me a list of things that my car needed which total up to almost 1200.00 I took my car to Midas and they done the work for 605.00 half the stuff they listed I did need at all. That was my last visit to Merlin time is yo hard for people to be lying

I got a regular oil change done on my car last week and it has been running great. The staff is very friendly and the wait time was very minimal. The new service manager, Erik, is very friendly and helpful along with the staff. I will be going back for more service, as well as, recommending family and friends to this location.

Came here on 11/13 and never again. Customer service is definitely not the focus at this location.Came here for an oil change which according to the receipt includes: 20 point inspection, top off all fluids, lubricate steering components, tire pressure adjustment and of course the oil/filter change.I get in my car and my tire pressure light is STILL ON. That tells me the tire pressure adjustment wasn’t done.How can I be certain any of the other services were complete. The answer is I CANT. Now I have to take my car to an honest shop to make sure the oil change was done properly.

Took longer then expected, busy store

I came today to get my oil changed on my Hyundai Elantra 2017. Little did I know after leaving my vehicle was dripping oil all the way home. I only realized it because I was shoveling snow, and after moving my vehicle the snow was covered in motor oil. After parking my car in the drive way i noticed a rainbow slick streaming down my driveway. I contacted Tesh the manager who was professional about the sitiation. He advised me to drive the vehicle over. As I drove up to the shop and the oil warning came on and engine light came on and the car started to shake. He explained the old gasket was not removed. And that his team would make it right this time.

UPDATE: The owner still refused to take any responsibility for this incident. I also found out after this review that they had left my car with more than $4,000 worth in damages. I am still fighting with them through the help of my insurance company for the money since the owner does not want to admit any wrongdoing even though I have proof documented after taking the car to an honest shop. I had even attempted to reach out to the corporate offices of Merlin but I guess they dont seem to care that their franchise owners are ruining peoples cars and not bothering to take responsibility. I hope my insurance company is able to seek out further financial reparations for the damages done by this shop and this owner. For now, my advice would be to steer clear of this shop!This was the worst oil change experience I have ever had! I made an 8am appointment for just a simple oil change.Showed up on time only to have the man at the counter tell me I never made an appointment but that he would make time for me anyways. I told him I could show him the confirmation email of my appointment as well as the reminder email they sent me the day before and he told me that I was a liar! He only called after I left to tell me to come back and they would do the oil change free of charge... since I really needed it done and there werent any other local options to where I already was, I agreed.Somehow it still took them 50 additional minutes for a simple oil change. Then I left with my car only to have it sputter like it was going to stall! Brought it immediately back and at first they claimed it wasnt them but, once again, tried to act like they were the ones doing me the favor!Then they finally realized that they both overfilled and put the wrong oil in! Its now 9:40 and Im still waiting! And the owner is not even apologetic or helpful. I will never bring my car here again! Stay away!

Went for 90 dollar 4 wheel alignment I was told I need a part before they can do alignment extra 200 dollars when done the guy didnt drive it when I got in truck hood was open and air filter box was open setting check engine light then I fix that drove it and it pulls bad steering wheel off 20 degrees and credit card machine was down so I cant even cancel payment

This is a worst place workshop they charged too much last time I checked my car engine light was coming they replace part and fuel cap you know how they charged $45.00 forfuel cap and I checked price outside only $15 to $ 10/ after two week engine light showing again and I visit they said something wrong in your car and we charged again. I returned back and I will advice to guys not to go Merlin 20000 workshop.They are just making fool and talk very sweetly and do nothing.

My visit was faster than expected, even though Im a very ignorant girl I didnt feel like they were condescending or tried to take advantage. On the contrary, polite, honest, and overall awesome!

I took my car here a long time ago and there was this 510 white dude with curly short short brown hair who quickly pointed out what to me was wrong on my car. The quote they gave me was $125 when most of the other places wanted $155. On the other hand, went there 10 months ago and got boned on a oil change. They didnt check my fluids. My power steering pump seized and threw a belt. $90 plus my time. Pump was fine just added fluid and replaced the belt. Boom easy as pie. Jeez bro. Do ur job.

This is the worst auto-shop I’ve ever been to. They were instructed and assigned to fix my car and install certain parts. They claimed they did it but two weeks afterwards, my entire car shut down and would not start. When I took it to another shop, I received all diagnostics of what was wrong with my car and all of the things Merlin “claimed” that they did and never did. They were even instructed to install new water pumps and didn’t even put certain fluid inside of it that caused my car to blow fuses. The regional manager “TESS” has been constantly avoiding us as he has pledged to follow up with us and this entire matter has been unethical. Therefore, a civil negligence lawsuit case is currently pending in court. I would definitely NOT recommend this place. If you are looking for a place of quality, respect and excellent interpersonal communication please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. They do not care about the people that they are serving nor are they remorseful about reoccurring faults.

WRONG!!!! they called me to ask me if I wanted them to change my air filter i told them no, a few minutes later I go to pick up my car ONE the misplaced my keys! what ever I let that go. On my way home a very strong smell is coming from my vents, I pull over to check and LORD BEHOLD my air filter is missing!!!!!! I called them and went back and it was replaced free a charge right........ I start driving my car AGAIN! and My check engine light comes on, my battery light comes on, and my temperature light comes on and my car starts Rattling! ! I would not recommend this shop to anyone!! you guys had one JOB and one JOB only!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!My car is currently at the mechanic getting fixed for the damages Merlin caused! 20 dollar oil changed turned in to more!! i am very disappointed at their service.

I am so disappointed in this company. I took my husbands car to Merlin at the beginning of the year because it needed front brakes and was told that it had also needed rotors and struts and the bill was going to be well over $600. Not knowing much about cars, (and Im sure they could tell that I didnt), I trusted them and proceeded with the service. I was also told that I would have a lifetime warranty on the brakes, if they need to be replaced. Here it is, December, and we need new front brakes all over again. So, I sent my husband back there because of the lifetime warranty and they (Scott) told him that the warranty didnt apply because it was the rear brakes that had been repaired the first time. They even produced a receipt where the service was falsified by indicating it was the rear brakes. Unfortunately for me, I didnt read the fine print on my original receipt and blindly trusted them to provide accurate information. Then on top of that, they told my husband that it was going to be $500 for the same work that they had performed in February. I am very disappointed and will never return there again!!!!!

Id give no stars if I could! The worst decision bringing my car here. Came in for an oil change and ended up spending our whole afternoon here. Maybe because some of their guys were smoking weed on the job smh. They said my brake lights were out (weird) and wed have to wait for a part but we went home and came back because we had our baby with us and didnt plan to be there that long. The manager wouldnt let me pay and said to pay later when we returned. He just wanted to get more money out of us. Charged us for a new brake switch we didnt even need (labor cost almost $90!!) when really all we needed was a fuse but they wrote on my receipt that the fuse was replaced at no charge - hmm sneaky. They didnt want to charge us just for a fuse. We ended up paying $160 after they said the brake lights were fixed and guess what? No lights worked!! They told me to come back Monday and this was Mothers Day weekend. I couldnt believe I was out $160 and they didnt complete the job all because they wanted to go home at 5pm, wow! Luckily my fiance fixed it, not the guys at Merlin.When we went back on Monday, we had the worst customer service experience with rude and obnoxious Scott. Told him our car was making a weird sound and didnt feel safe to drive. He said now were blaming him for any and everything, instead of taking a look at it. Had our mechanic come to our house and he said they broke my heat shield when they jacked it up. Owner called me saying he would fix the brake lights (even though they were fine) and repair the heat shield but returned my car in the same shape. They lied and said my car wasnt making any sounds when they drove it. Even though I was refunded half of my money, since I left their shop Saturday Ive gotten it towed twice and now have to get another car. Repairing isnt worth it. STAY AWAY FROM HERE.

I came in 15 mins before closing because I hit a pot hole, not only did they take me in and get me taken care of, they gave me a warranty on the tire so if it happens again, I could come in and get a replacement,free of charge . after a long day of work and this happens, but they definitely made it better ! thanks Frank (newbie)!!!

I have been going here for years and had great experiences with all eight of mine and my family vehicles. Since they have been under a new manager / service advisor (Frank) my vists to this shop have not been good. I needed my front suspension replaced and they gave me an alignment after work was completed I noticed my alignment was still off so I went back they said there was another part causing alignment to be off and said once I got that part fixed would redo alignment no charge. I got the part fix I go back for the wheel alignment and I explained what they told me before Frank said okay we can do that. Made appointment for 8a get there on time they got the car in the shop maybe 45min after 8a then they tell me my wheel bearings need to replaced before they can do alignment so I agreed to get the work done told me it would be 2 hours so I dropped it off. I go back there at 5:30p because its now way passed 2 hours I get there Frank tells me he finished with bearing now they will be starting on alignment and it would be extra $100. I again explained what I was told when I got my front suspension fixed he said no we dont do that. So told him to forget about the alignment Ill get it done somewhere else. I honestly didnt mind paying for the alignment again its just the fact that they lied too one of their loyal customer.

Rude and Dis-honest. Last time got the oil changed through them. Over tighten the Oil Filter cartridge to a point when I tried to change oil next time myself it would not open up. So I went head and changed the oil only. And today when again my oil change is due I took it to them they drain my old oil and saying Oil Filter cartridge would not open and we require $28 to open it and new Cartridge would cost $80. I looked up online new cartridge is $25 on amazon. I said ok go ahead put oil back ill take it to toyota, now saying we will charge you for whole oil change price even though we are not changing oil filter. Be aware. Dont take your car to them as they are not professionals. Bunch of thieves. Lastly, I am sure they would not even do oil filter change if I was not looking my car though the glass and would have told me its done.

Had 4 pm appointment for an alignment and manager scheduled more work in front of me. He told me it would be at least until 5 pm until he could get my car in. I waited 15 min watching their TV which had weird auto repair commercials on it got sick of waiting and asked for my keys back. Manager then tried to guilt me and said oh were just about to bring in your car but when I got outside nope tech was bringing in somebody elses car, not mine. Look manager when somebody asks for their keys back you return them politely not employ childish guilt trip games thats just unprofessional. If you got a tech at school like you claimed why not hire another one to fill his shift? Amatuer hour management.

Merlin, went in for a simply tire balance. Ended with no weights in tires. Calabair removed. Result in brakes jobs, Roto,& calabair. New tire balance & aliment. To all people, do not take your car to Merlins on route 53 & Lilly CatchesBad mechanic & management.

Not even one star- but required to select in order to post. SHAME ON YOU! You claimed my elderly mothers car needed $1,600 of brake work done. Took it someplace else - and it was only $150 to replace a line. Trying to take advantage of the elderly is lowest of the low! Dont take your car here!

Unless Merlins has changed & loss their good Mechanics, I had work done here in Sept, 2012 and they were great, I had my timing belt changed and some other minor work done, No problems at all!!!Im even going to Tow my car from Nashville Tn to Merlins for work to be done. PLEASE; I hope they didnt lose their good workers.I think Ill try the one in Fayetteville Georgia instead!!!!

Have had great service here, really helped to diagnose a couple problems. Last visit for oil change, i went to drop off and he asked me if im doing the 30 dollar full service to top off all fluids. I said woah that went up, he says yeah, i asked what happened to the 20 dollar special, he said they werent doing it anympre, i grabbed my keys to leave and noticed the sign oitsode said oil service special 19 dollars, i said uhh wait what about your sign? he said wait just the basic oil change, i said yes thats all i need, another customer then got furious becuase he had asked for anuthing cheaper and the employee had denied any cheaper option. Great company, pick a different location

Great staff with great service

We were five hundred miles away from home, headed to a funeral when our tire went flat. After Triple AAA changed the tire to our spare, we drove to Merlins to have the tire fixed or replaced. Frank and his team discovered that air had leaked from the valve simply because the ball inside had gotten jammed out of place. They took the time to refill it, check it twice and then head us on our way within 45 minutes and AT NO CHARGE since there wasnt anything they replaced. I cant tell you what a relief it is to have such caring individuals when you encounter a problem miles from home and under stressful circumstances (death in the family). Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
