I always loved Menards except when I have to run quick and grab one item then its just too big. Their service is good and selection is great!

Eventually found what I needed, passed by what seemed like a dozen or so staff members without being approached and asked the simple question is there something I can help you find? Fortunately, the water softener pellets I needed were right next to the checkout, and I coincidentally found them, through no help of the staff on site. My experience aside, I netted getting what I needed, but as a retail store manager, I find this utter lack of customer service to be disturbing and does not reflect well on the company as a whole.

I met Bella today at Menards flooring department. Worst customer service ever. Wanted to buy a bathroom vanity, sink to match and few other items. She was the most laziest sales person I have ever met. She wanted me to get a big flat cart to put the items instead of offering me assistance. I mentioned to her I am way older than her why not go get a cart. She was pounding. said it is not her duty. My husband has been shopping at Menards before she was born! I had to call the store Manager, Brian who showed up and offered assistance. He was afraid even to go the employee and ask her to assist. I had to say “no more Manards for us”. I then when to Home Depot and spent over $400.00 less than 29 minutes we were done.

Absolute trash customer serviceVan rental people can’t do simple math and charged me twice what it was supposed to be, lumber people didn’t have my order ready or know anything about lumber and gave me wrong item several times. Poorly run would not recommend.

Brian who is the manager of the store is horrible!I purchased 65 boxes of hardwood flooring that costed almost $9000 and I was advised from the flooring person down at the store to purchase 10% more just in case which I did, I asked him what if I have extra boxes at the end of the project since this is a special there is 25% restocking fees, he said don’t worry just bring them back and the manager will waive it.That is exactly what happened and when I went to the store Brian refused to waive the restocking fee even after I explained the situation and I even asked for store credit as I was going to using towards another purchase and he refused it!!I went to another branch and they did it for me.When a customer spends that much money and even more that should not be the care I get back, I spent $9000 on flirting and he was trying to charge me $50 restocking fee and take the boxes back..That’s ridiculous!!!

This store has always been a favorite of mine. Ive been away for years, but nothing has changed in that respect. The staff is as helpful as before, the store is clean and well stocked. Its a pleasure to shop in this store.

Expensive but I found a lot better quality merchandise than other places. Clean, organized. The only reason I didn’t give them five stars is because it was my first time here. I will give them five stars no problem if they keep the same level and quality and my visit is as good as this one.

This menards is huge! Martha at checkout was one of happiest and nicest cashiers Ive ever run into. She also gave me a oversized bag which Ive never knew menards had, and I go to menards allot. The guys in the kitchen remodeling area are also good. They helped me quickly and easily order a set of cabinets.

Purchase a stove and microwave was told when purchase they would install and take old appliances away.. wasnt aware that the stove didnt come with a cord movers got here to tell me they dont install.. very very disappointed when I purchased stove you would have thought the sales person would have told me...

Just found out that the owner (John Menard) is a friend and supporter of Donald Chump. He has violated labor laws and environmental laws. I will no longer support this establishment. This man is disgusting. My money will be spent elsewhere and Ill be spreading the word.

I recently got a grill (the 2 in 1 wood pellet smoker and gas pit boss) as a gift. Since they were out of stock, we bought the floor model. The grill worked great but was missing a few parts. I reached out to the store and spoke with (Mike) the manager in that department. He took the time and effort to send out emails and contacted me the next morning with a status update. All missing parts are now on their way! Good costumer service is hard to find these days. As Im also in the industry and appreciate postive feedback, I hope this review goes noticed in your company! Try to pass off a old dented machine iff as a new one. Them I complained and got the most ghetto response ever. Just dont bother. LOWES is so much better. Unless you like the ghetto service.

I love Menards! What other home improvement place can I get all my fixing needs and then turn around to get a funfetti cake mix that will blow my mind. Amazing and don’t get me started on the 11% rebates on everything. You get HOOKED to this place

As others have mentioned, Menards is definitely the sort of place you just show up at without knowing what you need until you get inside. There is such a wide selection of everything. They have lumber, lighting, household goods, etc. Theres also a ton of staff members which is nice because youll probably get lost the first few times you come here EVEN with the nicely labeled aisles.

I hit a home run today. Needed a whole laundry list of items to finish a project they had everything in stock including a molding that matched an existing vanity cabinet .Sometimes things worked out well today they did.

Ive been in this store over 100 times this month from getting a new kitchen set everything. Worst customer service ever. The store is only 3 minutes from home would and will drive 15 minutes before I go back in this menards

A very good place for home improvement needs as well as buying things for the house. They are understaffed but the staff in place is very helpful. They have everything a homeowner needs for almost every situation. I love the Menards lawn care products because it works just as good as the name brand products, but its much cheaper. I only thing I dont like is the rebate program because you get a store credit instead of check in the mail.

I had a wonderful experience redoing my kitchen with this Menards. Marione was especially helpful. He helped me with my design, and all the details that went into it. I found everything I wanted and my kitchen looks amazing.

I like Menards because its close ti my house. I can get all the gardening tools and supplies I need for my garden at home. Get all the dog treats, bird food and costs me only $5 for a huge big bag of cedar chips for my hamster cages and lasts me for over 6 months about. Plus you can get even some good grocery stuff there and hygiene things. Its becoming almost a all in one shopping place for me.

I visited Menards to buy several things including landscape bags. In the past, I never had any issues with these bags; however, I was very dissappointed with my recent purchase as all of these bags were failing at their seams. I even had to tape many of these back together so they could be taken away by my disposal company.

For tile I avoid this place. Floor and decor is my go-to. Nice cabinets tho.

Usually love Menards, but we went there for some Christmas decor and pretty much they are out. Normally they have a huge display. Not this year. Dont waste your time.

Ordered slide closet doors from this store 4 months ago and didnt get it. All the time when we came to the store, department manager predicted that he sent email to vendor and every visit was same story. For answers when our doors will be ready we had only one answer We dont know, I will email to vendor for question about previous email they said I dont know, other manager sent itWhen we asked about refund, department manager said that they will charge us 20%Finally, we went to castumer service and get our money back.We spent over 4 months waiting for our doors, we could not continue remodeling at home because we ordered 3 sets of doors to 3 rooms.Disgusting department work

Today I had one of my worst experiences at menards (Bolingbrook) especially with the customer service the people are so rude and mean (the forklift guy named David) he is unprofessional and very little kindness maybe that will be my last time visiting this store.

Great selection, lots of staff willing to help, and competitive prices. They also have one of the best lumber yards in the area so its become a popular stop for me when doing big projects even though other hardware stores are closer to my home.

Was there on May 26, 2020 Joel, at the customer service counter is a perfect example of how the ideal customer-service experience should be. He was very polite and friendly. Wish the entire staff there would practice his courteous manners the same way. That is what we as customers look forward to.

Could not find what I was looking for

They literally have EVERYTHING here. From chandeliers to patios, there just a wide variety of items to purchase. Nice friendly staff that helped me get exactly what I needed. The only problem was with the receipt machine, which was not working. 4 stars.

Ive been a Menards customer since 2013 (When I moved in the area. This WAS my go to place for anything hardware, home improvement, appliances and most automotive related. Today I came in to purchase a roll of carpet, asked an associate to cut me 19ft of carpet, he refused to help me, and insisted that I have to have a mask. I politely explained him that my medical condition prevents me from wearing one, I will respect the social distance but I am UNABLE to wear a mask, he called the manager. The manager was rude and kept interrupting, told me that this is a COMPANY POLICY, and since they are a private company, they make up the rules (which is not 100% correct), and stated that I either put a mask on, or I have to leave the store.Ive spent over 58k between my business and personal in the last 7 years, but today they lost me as a customer. Home Depot and Lowes are more understanding, and they will be getting my business from now on.

Its inconvenient how they took all the drywall out the store and put it out back. They should have kept at leats a bundle inside for when you only need one or two sheets

WILL NOT MAKE A REASONABLE PRICE MATCH!The local Better Business Bureau has given them a grade of F for failing to respond to consumer complaints, and I understand why.Price matching is up to the stores manager, according to policy. They WILL NOT match Woodcraft, even though the physical store is less than five miles away. At least, this store manager wont. I am a very frequent business customer at Menards and have been for ten years, and I have never asked for a price match before. I am very disappointed that Bolingbrook Menards chose to lose my business. I also will spend time making sure other people know that the manager at Bolingbrook Menards is unreasonable and that the price match policy is misleading, within any reasonable persons judgment.

One product sought after (lawn bags in this case), was not located as indicated on the store map, but other than this a quick and positive experience. All employees that I saw were masked (as well as most if not all customers).

Wow I was disappointed today. Building was full of employees and customers. I asked one person in blue pointed to the general direction. Was wrong direction found what I needed on my own. What happened to the employees to actually helped the customer. Did they not work on the weekend. Im sorry too many years for me not to be treated like I mattered. Luck for 3

The sign outside the store says 11% OFF. During purchase I find out I have to go to another area of the store to get the Rebate Form. i could not get it at the cash register where I paid for it. Seven weeks after a full hip replacement it was not worth the trip on a $244.00 purchase .

Menards has very good prices and selection. It takes time to learn the rebates and the floor layout.

They’re not set up properly to receive and fulfill Online Orders. It’s a really bad process that is also managed/operated by brand new employees who haven’t been properly trained yet.I recently placed an online order and I made sure to only order items that were listed as “In Stock”. I then received an email stating that all of my items were “ready for pick up”.FYI: Online Pick-Up order are located at the far back of the store near the docks leading to the outdoor lumber yard)Once I had arrived, I was the told that certain items were actually on “Back Order” and that I could either wait for them to receive another shipment or have the amounts credited back to me.I chose the “Credit” option, which can only be done by heading to the front of the store to go through the entire return process.

Checkouts needed help. Only 2 registers open, 1 had a price check or something, and there were 20 people in line waiting. Went and checked out in the garden center instead. There were a lot of employees stocking. They should have called some of them up to assist.

Absolutely love this place. They have a great selection of home improvement items and the prices are great. I always enjoy going through the outdoor section that is in the middle of the store. I once found kayaks at a really good price.Check out when they have 11% rebate going on, which is pretty often. It’s free money so definitely take the time to fill out the short slip. I come here about 3 times a week.

Its a nice place but like everything else for the love of everyones sanity Call and verify they have it. All the systems for inventory are regularly off count so ask if they have it and verify with them seeing it themselves. Its not their fault we are under this quarentine so give them a break.
