I was extremely impressed with Matt. It was interesting if not disappointing to finally see what numbers my swing creates. Matt explained what each number represents and then went to task trying to improve them. After his setting changes and some indirect instruction, I left feeling a better golfer. Played today and hit the ball much better…still can’t make a putt. Would strongly recommend.

Matt was great. I’ve taken lots of lessons over the (many) years I’ve played with different instructors and hands-down I learned more about my swing in this one day, and where I need to work to improve, from this fitting experience with Matt. He’s very knowledgeable, patient, and explains things very well. We went for a putter fitting for a junior golfer. Matt was very patient and thorough. He explained the issues with the current putter and tested many options and set ups. He spent a great deal of time ensuring that my son felt comfortable with the putter and gave him a wide array of options to test. It was the most comprehensive putter fitting we have ever had.

Recently relocated back home to SW Florida and decided it was time to pick golf back up. After researching Google I decided to make an appointment for a fitting at True Spec.I worked with Matt Marcial, who was an all around great guy, very informative. He had the ability to describe what he was seeing in a way that I would understand. Even took time to give little tips/lessons on things that would help improve my swing.Certainly no pressure in buying from them and certainly no push towards one brand or another, they read the numbers and let you know what works best for your current situation.I would recommend anyone to stop in at True Spec for a fitting, its a bit pricey, but the best way to describe it is you could buy a suit at Walmart and it may fit, but if want something that is going to fit correctly you would go to a tailor. If your going to spend the money on clubs you might as well get fitted by the folks that do this for a living.I will certainly be going back when I am ready to change out shafts.

Matt was patient and extremely helpful with my driver fitting. While my swing path was not ideal, he did not try altering my swing, yet worked to fine-tune a driver that would minimize my misses and maximize my efficiency. Over 10 yards were gained with an increase in ball speed, and a more accurate ball flight.

The process was explained to me before we started. It was exactly as described on the web site. The process was very thorough. We started with the putter and found the putter head that worked best for my stroke rather than try to correct my stroke. Moved on to the irons and I hit multiple combinations of heads and shafts for about an hour but didn’t come up with a club that outperformed my current clubs although one club was about the same. We moved on to driver and fairway woods and we found a fairway wood that was better than the one I’m using now. My wedges were fine .We did find a better putter and fairway wood and confirmed that my existing irons, hybrids and driver were the right clubs for my game.

Worked with Michael Claman for a putter fitting. He was everything you want in a professional his knowledge of both the putting stroke and the equipment that best matches my limited skill set. Michael helped to fit me to new woods and irons and how the process worked and his ability to watch and switch out heads and shafts to tailor to my swing was both fascinating and very technical. To see your shot, ball flight, spin rate, clubhead speed, and distance was very helpful and it allowed me to see I was getting 20+ yards longer in my shots with the new clubs vs my 24+ year old clubs.I cant say enough of the job Michael did and now Im just waiting for the clubs to be delivered.

I have tried fitting services many times over the years. This was by far and away the most professional and the most useful club fitting I’ve had. Their business model that allows them to mix and match different manufacturers does an excellent job in producing the club it is best for your particular skill, or in my case,lack there of.I cannot wait for my new clubs to arrive.

Great experience with Michael Claman. Everything was explained clearly from the start. Mike was very patient and encouraging and clearly explained his reasoning as to why he was choosing the clubheads and shafts that he was. The fitting moved along in an organized fashion and I was able to experience the improvement in contact as Mike narrowed down the clubhead and shaft choices. 69-year-old playing serious and taking lessons for the first time over the last six months. The game is improving and I’m having enough fun to invest in fitted clubs. What a joy. The Fitting was both a pleasant and productive undertaking. If you are serious about the game then you understand the importance of biomechanics, mental attitude and practice practice practice. If that is how you approach the game then the right clubs become a big plus. Not inexpensive but will raise the serious golfer a level in all the particulars: distance, loft, accuracy, club head speed and roll. Worth the investment in my game.

My fitting by Loren David was excellent. I had returned to True Spec Golf at their Naples location to be fitted for irons and wedges. I was fitted for Driver and fairway woods by True Spec at our Club two years ago. I was impressed then and love my woods but my fitting for irons and wedges at their location was so much more impressive. Loren’s explanation of the process and data received from it was extremely informative. He was friendly and professional. I look forward to receiving my new clubs and I have recommended True Spec to my golfing friends.

I paid a lot more than if Id ordered this putter off the rack. But I wouldnt have even tried it in a store. I feel a lot more confident setting up and got some tips about my putter swing while I was being fitted. Practising rolling balls down a 4 metal ruler, and the majority are dead straight. The putter head is a perfect swing weight for me. Im very happy. Thats what I paid for!!!

I went to True Spec for an iron fitting after turning to them to fit a new driver. The driver is terrific. Their process is very thorough, first finding a head that provides the best results for my swing then matching the best heads to a variety of shafts—the same process they had followed for the driver. The pro, Loren (Naples FL), was very knowledgeable and explained every variation we tried. The head-shaft combination we agreed was best for me increased ball flight with my 7 iron almost 10 yards, or nearly one club length. Overall, very impressed with fitting process. I expect I’ll be just as impressed with the impact on my game.

The experience at Tru Spec Golf in Naples was stellar. I worked with Mike and he brought me through all the different clubs on the simulator and figured out what was working best for me. I did the whole bag fitting with Mike Claman. I was blown away by what I didn’t know, what I didn’t realize about golf clubs. We all adapt to what we play with, but we don’t have to settle for diminished outcomes. Mike explained as he went, the nuances of shafts, heads, launch angles, spin rate etc. The technology showed clearly how each effected my shots. True Spec is hand building my customized clubs to assure quality control, so I will receive exactly the correct combination of grip, shaft, and club head that I expect. Great experience!

This was my first club fitting experience after almost 15 years of playing golf. I had previously been hesitant/skeptical about the overall idea of a golf club fitting but oh was I wrong. The entire experience, top to bottom, exceeded my expectations and was nothing short of excellent. Loren, is hands down a magic man when it comes to his craft. What not only was a club fitting, also turned into an adjustment in my current swing to further benefit my golf game. Loren walked me through a multitude of different club heads, shafts, and grips until we were able to narrow it down to two complete iron set up combinations that best benefited my game. There were no pushy sales or unnecessary options. As a 6 handicap that felt he had reached a plateau in his game... I went to True Spec for a new 3 wood since I hate my driver. Loren (sp?) was chosen for me. What a lucky day for me... I am not a good golfer and I must say that Loren was the epitome of patience. Loren was great. took the time to discuss my visual preferences for iron shape, what I was working on and trying to look into that future crystal ball. Absolutely a professional, knowledgeable and personal approach to a solution that was a relief to someone agonizing over the multiple choices of clubs on the market. It was interesting to see immediately what different combinations of club and shaft can make. The immediate follow up email with all the detail was impressive to an 81 year old engineer.

I booked a driver fitting with tru spec in hopes of finding a new driver since mine was 5 years old. There were plenty of options of shaft choices with every brand you could imagine. The Studio was very nice inside, with a putting green downstairs along with a workshop, and a couple hitting bays upstairs. I had an enjoyable experience and was allowed to try multiple options. I spent a while trying out different shafts and was free to hit as many as I wanted. They presented me with a presentable pdf with all my numbers. However, once it came down to the price of the fitting and driver it was 1100. When the retail price of the equipment was 800. Not very negotiable with their prices. There were too many unnecessary fees, and I felt it was not worth it. Unless you can afford to overpay for the experience, or are extremely serious about your game (scratch or better), then I would seek elsewhere for a fitting. Many places will be considerate when dealing with prices, but I didn’t feel that with tru spec.

I have no other fitting experiences from which to compare, but based on what I have read and heard from others, this was top notch. From the moment I walked in, I felt that I was there for one thing--get properly fitted. Michael did respond to my attempts at small talk but I could tell he was all business, and I was duly impressed. I could tell that he wanted me to be in the right club and we took the entire time allotted with results that speak for themselves--a 15% increase in distance, with more accuracy and consistency, something I have been looking for, but without using any logical system. I am glad I went here. There is no obligation to buy, and no pressure. But I did, and cant wait for my new clubs to arrive.

I went to the Naples location for a whole bag fitting. Michael Claman was my fitter and he did an outstanding job. He explained the whole process in detail. They have thousands of different options and combinations. We first fitted the putter by analyzing my current putter, then trying a myriad of different combinations of heads, shafts, and grips. Michael was able to analyze through a sophisticated computer system to determine which combination worked best for me and also was able to show me how much improvement over my current putter was achieved. We did the same for the irons.When we went to the driver and hybrid’s, I wasn’t swinging consistently and Michael could tell I was start to get tired. Instead of plowing on through, just to get it done, Michael suggested I go home to take a break and go on to the driver and the rest of the bag. I felt like he genuinely wanted to make the most of the fitting and get good data and was willing to spend the extra time instead of making a quick sale.This is a very technical fitting and very methodical. I’m a very new golfer and this is my first fitting of any kind and I was a little apprehensive about going to a high end fitter. Michael made me very comfortable, didn’t push any brand but was determined to find the right clubs for me that I would hit best with. After watching my wife get fitted at the range, I believe this is really the only way to be properly fit for clubs.

I went in having difficulty hitting my 7 iron 145 yards and after a small tweak in my swing and a quick fitting for the right shaft, I was hitting 165-70 yards right down the middle consistently!!! They didnt try to sell me the latest and greatest but actually let me see the stats and make the decision myself. Best money Ive ever spent on golf!

A local pro suggested that I stop by and check out True Spec Golf. My experience was most positive. They were professional / friendly / very thorough in their testing facility and above all, they were HONEST. They did not try to sell me the ranch. They could have told me I needed new shafts but instead Josh advised that a 10% correction was not worth the investment of new shafts. All I needed was to shorten the shafts on the two clubs that I brought with me ... which he did on the spot for $15! I will return. Thanks Josh ... and thanks Tom for the referral.

I was fittest by Mike Claman on March 7, 2018, at the companys Bonita Springs (Naples), FL facility. The facility was very impressive, featuring hitting bays, computers, and other technical equipment. I did a full bag (minus putter). My irons are mostly hybrids except for my wedges. The hybrids are built by a local guy who buys parts from China, puts them together and then sells them at a nearby weekend flea market. The clubs are cheap -- around $35 each, but theyve worked for me for at least seven or eight years. Mike spent at least three hours with me as we did dozens of comparison hits with clubs from different brands. I thought Id find alternatives to the Chinese hybrids, as i tested irons made of iron as well as up to date hybrids. However, the Chinese hybrids performed every bit as well as the new models from Callaway, Cobra, Tailor-made and other brands. In the end, the only club I clearly need to upgrade is my driver, moving from a Titleist (set at 10.5) about three years old to a Ping G400 set at 12 degree with a fujikura vista pro 45 r2 wood dritac wrap oversize. Mike said at the beginning of the session that True Spec was brand neutral, and would only recommend new clubs if the results demonstrated a significant difference. Mike was truly to his word, and one club is all I need to buy.
