I have absolutely no complaints about the staff, I have found them all to be very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. However, I have found the prices at this location to be quite steep. They are higher than ordering directly off of Blick’s website and it seems like every time I get something it rings up higher than the shelf price. I’m sure this is due to the downtown location, but it’s about 20% more expensive than ordering online, which is good to be aware of for budget-conscious artists out there.

They were amazing in here. Unfortunately they didn’t have the 10 or 12 gauge wire I needed but they were so Adamant about making sure I could find it somewhere. 😎 thank y’all. Y’all’re great😛🥰

I love this place and Ive only been there once. I just started watercolor painting very recently. An associate named Ariel helped point me in the right direction for choosing good brushes, answered all of my questions with great customer service, and made me feel super comfortable being there. Will be going back and I cant recommend this store and its staff enough!

They are always great to work with. I needed an ink color which they didnt have in the brand I usually get and they recommended a different one that worked great.

The store has two floors with an amazing selection of products to choose from.

This is the best blick store in boston and in the whole chain imo! The staff are the most kind and helpful people you will ever meet and everyone who works there deserves a huge raise for all the things they have to deal with on a daily basis. 10/10 would recommend.

Has just about anything you can think of. Prices can a little steep but its expected because they have all name brand products and the quality is out of this world. All professional products... Not your average Crayola crayon and Sharpie marker quality store (although they carry those as well).

The store has a wide variety of arts, crafts and painting supplies. The staff was very helpful.

Attentive and nice staff. The aisles are marked for one-way traffic but its never been very busy the times Ive gone. They keep the front doors open and have a little sanitation station right when you enter. And besides good safety, they have all the art stuff Ive ever needed. However they dont seem to stock some of the more bizarre canvas sizes, so call ahead if you are looking for something super specific, otherwise you can check the fenway location too.

With Rona on the rise, they are open and providing great art supplies and great service. I called in and they were ready to take my order like it was an everyday thing. I bought a tie dye kit and it was the perfect activity to practice social distancing with.

I love shopping at this store. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They know all the products well and exactly where they are located. They do not just tell you where something is located, they gladly show you exactly where it is. The staff is very knowledgeable and will offer you helpful answers to any questions you have about their products or to recommend the best product for a particular issue or idea. They gave a huge supply of fine art supplies and their online service is fast and efficient. Their prices are competitive and I enjoy spending time shopping at their different locations.

Forget Amazon! I go to Blick When I am buying oversized or hard to find odd size sketch paper, sketching boards or framing materials and mats to hang my art and photography work. The staff at Massachusetts Avenue store is so sweet and helpful and knowledgeable!

I was very excited to find this store in the middle of Boston. I came to Boston to visit & intended to draw, as is my habit, but I forgot to bring drawing pencils. I love art supply stores that have a character of its own. I had a great conversation with the guy who helped me find the pencils. He suggested some watercolor pencils. The store is about halfway between the Back Bay train station and the MFA and the Isabella Gardner museum. It was a part of a very meaningful day for me.

This blick is a truly amazing art store. Tons of interesting and unusual art supplies. The staff are all amazing and helpful. They great at helping you figure out what you need for a project without making you feel dumb.

This particular store has a deep offering for oil paints and all the needed accoutrements. Unique layout and location, and fun to visit. The staff is very familiar with the store, but not overly nice in assistance.

It had the pencils I needed for my architecture class. The store itself is a bit cramped but it seemed to have everything people would need and the prices are very reasonable

I would love to give this place 5 stars since my daughter loves it. However, I just my last experience was very unpleasant. I was making a purchase using a 15% off coupon emailed to me. Upon seeing my total I asked if the coupon was applied. Cashier said yes, so I continued to pay with my debit card. Once I got my receipt I realize the coupon was NOT applied, I walked over to double check the price on the items. I went back to the register and she said that “her computer said it was applied” so she will need to do a refund in order for her manager to handle it. The manager comes over and says that because it was a “book price” it over writes the coupon discount..... whatever that means. Technically, my coupon could not be applied and I would need to repurchase my items if I wanted them. Why couldn’t have I been told this the first time?? It was a small purchase, but having to make a purchase, return it and repurchase it all in the matter of minutes? And having the cashier said “it did go through”. Don’t waste my time! Not once did she apologize, I did have her manager say “sorry about that” but she could have cared less about her lack of knowledge and miscommunication.

Blick is always great no matter which one I go to. Ive been going for 15 years between Chicago, Florida, and now Boston. This location is extra fun for me because of the layout and the employees have always helped me find exactly what I need.

The place is nice for artists who need to get their hands on basic art Staples. However if youre looking for personalized gifts or very specific items, its not the place at all. Its literally just an art supply store nothing more and nothing less (except the price for merchandise). You would think that with the price tags on their items that theyd have more variety sadly thats not the case.

While normally a fan of local art stores over even small chains, the staff at this location are friendly and helpful everytime I go in. Maybe its the proximity to the universities or the inspiration from Symphony Hall across the stress but the highly knowledgeable staff make finding supplies for your next creative endeavor a true treat.

They have just about anything any artist could ever want very good place to go prices are a little high, but for the convenience, its great.

Good selection of art materials. My only issue is the employees. I went to compare prices with the art store across the street and decided not to buy anything. I had an employee follow me out of the store and for another 20 minutes while I got lunch. Maybe they thought I was just a kid trying to steal stuff? Either way it was incredibly creepy.Artist and Craftsman across the street has just as much selection for the same price, or cheaper, and the employees dont stalk you.

Teaching myself screen printing. The sales team were so helpful in assisting me in purchasing the best (not most expensive) supplies. They were super honest and didnt make me feel idiotic. Will be going back for more art supplies.

This used to be where Utrecht was before Blick ate them. Symphony location right next to Mass Ave on the Orange line is convenient. Not as big as the Landmark location but they have a slightly different selection

Absolutely love this art store! They have everything a budding artist needs. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about how the products work. They love to help you find exactly what you need. Many of their locations are right by a MBTA stop, which makes carrying home large canvases, easy. Lastly, they support local artists with fun in- store calls to contribute artwork, to win store credit. Boston couldnt be an artist haven without Blick Art Materials.

Conveniently located and with an impressive selection for such a seemingly small store. This location seems to ALMOST have everything. However, if youre looking for something very specific you might be better off ordering from their website.

Have been going to this location for years. Though small, they almost always have the supplies I need. Definitely recommend subscribing to the email newsletter and picking up a free loyalty card - they send out coupons frequently. Deducting one star because many of the items are overpriced and at my last visit, they forgot to ring me up for several things.

A little bit overpriced, but really helpful and nice employees. Also one of the only places to get art supplies in the area, so it’s definitely helpful. Pretty good discounts for students as well, along with frequent sales.

I like this art supply store. Its never crowded. The staff are friendly and helpful and they have so many sizes of paper. I actually buy most of my scrap paper for math work here since I find it easier to work without lines or a grid.

This is a cute, really comprehensive place for artist materials. Its oddly close to another Blick which is bigger and has more in stock, though. But this one is good in a pinch!

Unfortunately, I can not share a good experience about this store this Sunday, May 19th. I came to store from an hour away. It was first time for me and excited. Picked up a lot of items to buy. The staff in the store were nice and helpful. But the store manager was horrible. I had 3 gift cards from my same friend to use. The cashier could use two of them and not the third one. The cashier tried to find solution, called customer service if the gift card is valid and have the balance and they confirmed and he tried few tricks etc. then he had to call the manager. However, the manager had no idea about how to fix the solution and she didnt even apologize after waiting 45 min at the cashier. I called my family to pick me up when we were processing at the cashier. So, they came form where they were parked to pick me up but they couldnt and had to wait at the rainy day for me outside about an hour circling at the traffic assuming that I would be done in any minute. Manager told me that I can not use the gift card and either have to pay or come back on Monday. Long story short, I had to leave a lot of material which I spent long time to pick from store and left. As soon as I came home, I went online blick-art store and used my gift card for the cheaper price for each item, with very nice and helpful people who knew what they were doing. They said that they price match with online. Here is how their match: I paid $24 for a canvas instead of $60 at store. So, this was the first and probably the last visit to this store...Go online for pleasant shopping

Great place with a lot of options for the regular artist, designer, or architect. Drawing, painting, and drafting tools, accessories, supplies, and furnuture are available. This partical Blick has two levels. The lower level is where there are canvases, kids supplies, drafting tables, sketchbooks, frames and easels.

The store was great my first time there ever since I saw it and always asked to go since and is a great store!
