It has a big selection, good prices, and friendly (when you talk to them) staff.
Good amount of options for vegetables, dry products and meat. Compared to other similar Chinese stores, quaily is in the middle but the price is on the high end. Since the location is convenient for me, I still go there from time to time.
If you like to cook Asian, this is a great place to stock up.
Provide any Asian cooking ingredients needed, but staffs attitufde must be improved.
I love the Asian community and regularly shop at Asian supermarkets in Chinatown. For many years, I would shop here out of conveniece. However, every time the staff would be Extremely rude to us. Telling us to move out of the way while putting our credit cards back in our wallets. Not say thank you, people cutting in front of us . This supermark is one of the worst experiences ever. For many years we have been shopping here. And I agree they have a lot of great items. However due to the service which was provided. I Strongly suggestsupporting other Asian supermarket that provide better service. Maybe its because we are foreigners but I feel that all customers should be treated respectfully.
Well located Asian supermarket. Very good prices. Could be cleaner and friendlier.
Great Chinese supermarket. Everything one expects.
Buy mooncakes here if you don’t need the most expensive and fancy ones from the bakeries!! The indoor market is a bit messy tho.
Great Grocery store if your in search for items to make Asian recipes!🙂
Things are a little more costly than C-Mart. But convenient for some elderlies and a quick pick up for a needed ingredient. Some Chinese produce are fresh. The fruit could be better.
Great experience and good quality food.
Good selections of Chinese fresh vegetables and packages food.
Tasty food. Reasonable prices. Great meat cuts. Right next to great shopping at the Jia Ho Supermarket. Can stop for a cold one or mussels and French wine.
Great place to shop for fresh fish. They have it all. The language barrier is present but the employees definitely understand English and are willing to understand if they dont.
Pretty much your average chinese grocery store. Not the cleanest establishment, but full of all the tasty treats you cant get anywhere but Chinatown. Worth it!
Neat place, best downtown supermarket youll find in Boston
First time shopper. What a neat experience!
I have go this supermarket every week for all my food, I got so disappointed today because I have bought two bad soy milk two days ago, and the expiration day is Feb,03...I did put in the refrigerator all the time, and took pictures down and make a call...they ask me to bring the bad soy milk back for exchange...are you kidding me? How do I take subway round trip to spend my time for exchange the soy milk for about 7dollars??? the subway gonna cost me 5dollars..they said that they need to show the bad soy milk to the factory, what a good excuse, who cares,.it is not my problem, they should just told me for 2 free soy milk next time I stop by since I am honest with the pictures....bad customers service...I would never ever come back...
Their prices are ridiculous. $14.29 for 4 packs of instant noodles! What a scam!
Nice supermarket, it has anything u want especially fresh mint.
Not good, very much over-priced items, very few choices and no parking at all.
Everytime we come to Chinatown, we come to this Asian supermarket to buy Asian products. I always get Asian snacks and spicy ramen from here. SO GOOD! My dad typically buys produce, noodles and tea from here. Its on the main street next to the large Cantonese restaurant, so you cant miss this supermarket. You want authentic Asian products? COME HERE!
Very cool market full of anything you need! I was able to pick up fresh wonton wrappers when mine didnt turn out right 😅 there is an entire aisle for noodles and another for sauces! A great place to stick up your spice cabinet, and maybe try a few new ones as well. Everything was reasonably priced as well.I went on 1/2/21 and every single person was wearing their mask and most wearing gloves too, all the employees definitely were. There was sanitizer at both doors, and even in the more narrow aisles people were very conscious of keeping space. Also wanted to mention the employees are extremely kind and helpful if you cannot find what you are looking for, or just need a suggestion.
Very good asian supermarket and very friendly staff.
Store is stocked full of everything you need and more. They have fresh meat, fish & seafood, produce, freezer items, pantry staples, snacks... everything.
Wide variety of selections, from dry food to vege, noodles, etc. So glad I went and got lots of items I need and cravings fixed. They also have the self-heat hot pot if youre curious and want to try it out. And many other snacks that you are looking for, you can very likely find it here as well.
Its got stuff from all over!
This is a little treasure in Chinatown, an Asian supermarket where you can find anything from dinnerware, to tapioca noodles, lots of fresh produce, fresh seafood, and hundreds of different spices and sauces.
Always enjoy perusing the extensive selection!
Medium-large Chinese supermarket with an enormous selection of products, including seafood, meat, fresh vegetables and fruit, and frozen and processed foods. Always crowded. You can find a lot of items here that youll never see in mainstream US supermarkets, but for items that are readily available in supermarkets (such as broccoli, green onions, and oranges), prices seem high. Store could be cleaner, and produce could be fresher. Not everything is labelled in English, so it helps if you know what youre looking for.
Its THE supermarket in Chinatown!
They have good selection of fresh fish, its small but you have good variety of asian products (carrots are not the best though)
If youre looking for Chinese groceries, this is the place. Has a ton of stuff for low cost, though the market itself is a bit cramped.
Pack a wide variety of foods in a small space, and they have great prices.
This place is a gem to me. I love fresh greens and this place has it. So much to choose from. A friend of mine brought me there as she shops there for her family. She explained what greens to buy, for what and with what. I love the fact that you can also get fresh fish, noodles and all the seasonings you need. It also has the bowls that I love to use for everything. It is not a huge place and may get uncomfortable on a busy day but it is worth the visit.
Great selection, anything you need and more!
Once in a blue moon Ill be in the area with friends and well stop by to buy a few things. For me, its the Lays chips that come in bizarre flavors that I like. The spicy crayfish flavor was on point.
Well stocked and very reasonably priced Asian grocery shop right in the heart of Chinatown. Good selection of greens and veg. Nice section of sauces esp from SE Asia plus quite a few varieties of tofu, frozen goodies such as roti paratha, chinese pancakes and dumplings. Some Korean sauces but HMart is better for Korean and Japanese items. Quite a few brands of 3 in 1 coffees, teh tarik and milk teas. There is a fresh meat and seafoid section.
A Chinatown Gem! Packed full of surprises ... Cookware and lots of other things!
Excellent selection, although it takes a few pass throughs to figure out where everything is.
This is a great place to get Asian vegetables at great prices.
Looking for Asian grocery? This is the one! I tried doing my grocery here on several times of the day and I never encountered waiting long on a line. I like how they have cashiers on both their exits which is helpful for the customers cause you get to choose the option where to pay nearest to which street youre about to exit. they have wide range of goods from fresh fish, vegetables, fruits, canned goods, biscuits, etc.. they are affordable too!👍🏻
Nice and friendly as usual, everyone was wearing a face mask.
Wonderful market, surprisingly large, enormous selection of fruit, vegetables, seafood, packaged products. Tough to spot from the street: its a subtle door, to the right of Jia Ho Jewelry. No big splashy signage. Feels like a secret market.
Cleaner and brighter than the larger Mart on Lincoln; great selection, good produce and seafood.
Well organized store, thanks!
Great store. If you want anything oriental food wise this place has it. Live fish, great produce, every sauce from every company you could ask for. Only make it there every couple of years, but love it!!!!
Nice variety of Asian ingredients but still a hit small and limited. The prices on meat, vegetables, and seafood are quite good!
Biggest mushrooms Ive ever seen
Great and cheap! Highly recommend! They offer pretty much any kind of Chinese grocery you could ask for and more!
Denoted C-mart by the H-mart crowd, this is a great place to get all manner of Asian fare. While the selection is fairly different from H-mart, it is great for one stop shopping.
Awesome selection of Asian groceries. Very nice if you are looking for Asian food or snacks. However, it is not super clean like other places. Quality is great and people are alright. Could improve a lot more though.
Great selection of items. If you know exactly what youre looking for or can read Chinese, youre in good shape. Most of the food labels contain English as well as Chinese but not everything. Our search for curry paste too a while but we ended up with three different kinds as well as a few other sauces we cant get locally.
Big and well stocked market with primarily Chinese goods but also a good range of Japanese and Korean products. Fresh and nicely displayed vegetables and fish are very attractive. A well run place.
Made me feel like I was in Japan again. Awesome selection.
Awesome and bustling Chinese supermarket with all of your Asian essentials such as fish, ramen, and meat. There is a $5 minimum on cards but it can be bypassed. Overall, there is a lot to choose from and it is one of the best supermarkets for Asian food in Chinatown as it is walkable from the T and is near all of the restaurants.
I love this place. Convenient, cheap and a great selection of produce. Plus you can get the Chinese ingredients you normally dont get. The staff isnt the greatest and they dont speak great English so dont expect stellar customer service. But still amazing
Great Asian food selections. Great location, near metro station. Very convenient to visit. Not very big place, the environment looks a little bit old.
Great little grocery store to get some produce and Asian items on the way home from work.
Most of your Asian cooking needs. Could be cleaner
Awesome place. I have no idea what I bought but thats half the fun!
Best pork dumplings. My spot for hot sauces, fresh fish, and taro root.
Great selection of products including fresh produce; the store is not large but it is stocked floor to ceiling. I like to buy fresh tofu here- they sell Chang Shing which is made in Cambridge, MA (so good!) They have a particularly large selection of noodles, different soy sauces, and candy.
This is where I go for cheap groceries. I am a college student living without a meal plan. I go here for produce, fruit, noodles, snacks, and seasonings. The meat here isn’t the best, but occasionally I’ll buy that too (go to McKinnon’s instead). The fruit is cheap but not the freshest so be sure to eat it quickly. They have lots of Asian snacks too! :)
Decent quality and prices. They offer free parking voucher, which you can use to park for free in the parking lot next block to purchase over a certain amount. I cant remember if it was $50 or $80.
Really awesome little place packed with amazing goodies from Asia!
The place is not clean but filthy in my opinion, but there is many variety products to choose from, if people like to get what they want, spend a little time there, that would be fun !
Produce here is pretty good and cheap. You can get a freshly killed fish here. An older man will catch a fish (usually the live ones are tilapia) and whack it on the head with a big mallet. It reminds me of that hammer from the old Donkey Kong arcade game. The place smells a little funky from all the fish guts lying around, but overall a good option for groceries in Chinatown.
Nice cheap produce with good quality plus cute snacks and dumplings. Any Asians paradise.
Good supermarket
Like the store, even though Tupacs all eyes on me kept playing in my mind
They have pandan leave and glutinous rice im looking for. 4 stars because 1 staff was kind of rude.. store with narrow aisle for the grocery cart (like most asian market out there) but otherwise Fair price. Been here twice. 1 kind grandpa showed me where to find glutinous rice bless him. Will be back.
One of the hidden gems of Chinatown and fun to visit if youve never seen an ethnic grocery store. Blows Whole Foods and Roche Bros out of the water in terms of prices for fruits, veggies, fresh (live) seafood, as well as pork and poultry. Seemed sketchy at first to get chicken less that 2$/lb but after two years of eating it all I vouch for anything in their butcher shop that you want to eat (fish balls, tripe, and duck tongue for the adventurous). One of the few places in all of Boston that consistently has fresh basil, even in midwinter. Good selection of sauces and imported dry goods. Just dont expect anybody to explain things in English.
People here are unhelpful and they dont treat customers good. Most of the items being sold here are pricey compared to other near by Asian super market. If you really need good service with quality and decent pricing then look elsewhere. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone because of poor service especially at the billing counter.
It is great place to shop Chinese grocery. Most conveniently located at Download town Boston. Vegetables are fresh and dried goods are of high quality.
I love how you can get live fresh seafood here. Just pick your own fish, lobster, etc right out the tank
Great prices and produce looks fresh (better than H Mart or Super 88). They have a good selection of dried noodles, sauces and snacks. Theres only 2 cashier station, but during the week its not usually crowded.
This place is a treasure, I like Asian food and cuisine, this place has all Those hard to find items.
Amazing number of options with very affordable prices, but parking is a no no
Reasonable prices n vegetables r fresh. Good selection all round
Great grocery store with a wide array of items. Also came here to complete a biology project where we were required to bring specimens of as many phyla as we could find from a list. Needless to say, this grocery has more than enough to cover your biodiversity needs.
Great fish great special teas great pastries great great great place to be fun people
My favirite place in Downtown Boston. I go there to relax as a therapy. I get my noodles and hot sauce etc from this market. Spending time among the Chinese products while listening to cheap chinese pop music is a joy.
Also good place for Chinese food shopping. But feel a little bit narrow and crowded in that place.
I am a Taiwanese and I’m pretty sure my mom can do all her kitchen magic with this shop.
Some veggies look like they stay there for ages. Sells living seafood. Varieties of sauces, snacks, noodles, and products. Great place for snacks
One of the best Chinese supermarkets in Boston. Good selection and most produce is fairly fresh. Prices are decent as well.
This is a convenient location for people who live in the city and have no cars. But their price tends to be higher than other Chinese supermarkets
Not as cheap as a lot of Chinese supermarkets are, but has a good selection and is fun to walk around. Tough to find things if you’re used to Western-style grocery stores and don’t speak Chinese.
Small and crowded but good location. They have tons of sauce and noodle varieties and pack alot in that small space. $10 wok, only beatable at the kitchen supply around the block.
Good source for hard to find items. They also sell dishes like Raman bowls, tea cups, chopsticks and cookware.
Second best grocery store in Chinatown. Some good things, but oddly laid out and produce is hot or miss.
