There was a bit of a wait when I was here, but it was worth it! They were busy, and the staff was super kind. The menu is pretty extensive. I dont even remember what I got, but it was good, haha! My partner got something with Baileys in it, which was also good. While we were waiting, I looked around the store, and everything looked great, and I loved their decor, specifically their wine descriptions! I am going to find a poster like this for my house. π
Lovely space, super cozy with lots of seating. A good place to sit and do computer work or just relax. My latte was very good and came in the cutest cup :) wouldve given 5 stars if they had their prices on the menu, it felt really awkward to ask but Im glad I did because their cocktails are kind of expensive.
Creative drink menus with nice and spacious area for work and study.Saw the sign in front saying that they have the best Irish coffee in town, and I was drawn to try it out. This was my first time trying Irish coffee and I was thrilled to finally get a taste of the Bostonβs iconic cocktail drink. However, despite being a cocktail, everything wasnβt mixed properly. Although I tried to shake it with a straw, the coffee portion ended up staying at the bottom, and the whipped cream on top didnβt do much for the flavor.Nevertheless, this place seemed like a solid spot for coffee and tea, and I would probably return to try their other regular drink menus.
Iβve been an almond milk latte and smoked salmon bagel fiend as of late, like anyone would do with a corporate card. Jaho has been my go-to spot for the latte that has the most subtle bit of sweetness and bagel with salmon that kinda makes me feel healthy. A couple of women are there every morning that serve me and the other customers with positivity and they always bring a good start to my day
Jaho, a combination of a coffee shop and wine bar, is on the back side of the Chinatown public library. Its a nice spot to go and get some work done, as they have a lot of seating inside with good wifi and lots of outlets to plug in. The staff is friendly and they make everything to order. They also make boozy beverages too, and you can order them to go. Why not have a mimosa after a rough night?
Its been a hit or miss. Today was a miss. The base coffee offering shouldnt be lukewarm and not very pleasant tasting when it costs $3 for a drip pour.
I walked in somewhere around 1pm on a day where college students nearby were moving into campus for the semester. Due to this, there were many people sitting down to use the WiFi, and multiple groups going in and out for drinks. During all of this, there seemed to be only one person behind the counter, both ringing orders and creating the drinks. Even with a bit of a line, she remained very calm and kind, fulfilled orders in a timely manner, and communicated very clearly with everyone! I wish I caught her name, she obviously works very hard and deserves recognition.
I loved the coffee and the atmosphere. All the staff were amazing except the blonde girl.I asked for class of water and she rudely refused.she told me to buy something first which it was my plan once my friends arrive.I told her that and she said no !!!
Lots of space available for working! One of my favorite spots to hunker down and get some serious work done. Great atmosphere and some nice, comfortable furniture. Definitely recommend.
You walk in and out has that cozy cafe feel. Low key music, comfortable seats, both for studying and just hanging out. Menu and the hours caters to both people who need their caffeine in the morning and a stiff drink in the evening. Visited Boston for 4 days and came here each day.
Nice ambience. Not too shabby but very pricy for what its worth. One of the more pricier cafes Ive ever been to and Ive been to a few. My tapioca came out to $7.20 something. I think its made with coconut milk which is nice but yeah 7 for a tap is heresy. The location is at the corner of Phα» Pasteur in Chinatown.
The Baileys cold brew was amazing! Some of the best coffee Ive had in a while.
Love the environment, went in to grab a coffee and get done work done. Decent selection of food
Good drinks (except the wine) but expensive. The pinot noir was poured from a cheap single serve bottle. The newer gentleman poured this in front of me and got dirty looks from the other baristas, who poured the other wine orders behind the counter so that customers couldnt see how cheap the wine is. That cheap glass of wine wasnt cheap at all, and when paired with a 12 oz latte it ran us nearly $22. So be careful here - as others have said they dont list their prices because they overcharge.
Overpriced and the staff is unhelpful and unfriendly. If you want a $7 Luke warm latte served up by grumpy, this your place.
Went here for after dinner dessert and drinks, what a cute and unique place! Its coffee shop vibe, has a kid friendly outdoor area and beverages to excite the kid in us!
Great coffee, nice music and a warm place to stay during a snow day. I ordered Spanish coffee this time and itβs sweet but in a good way. I didnβt get a chance to try the wine, but they all looks great too. A very relaxing and quiet atmosphere, everyone were focusing on their job with very low voice level. The sofa seats are available for laptop users after 17:00.
Sooo good. Got a red velvet coco w/ baileys. Yum.
Excellent coffee shop that also has nice selection of beers on tap and extensive list of wines. Come here to spend time on comfortable couches and armchairs. Theres also a slow-brew coffee area that looks like an alchemists lab (need to wait for that one for 10-15 min.), but its only good if toy are not in rush and just want to chill while sipping on your beverage. Plenty of space to work on your laptop (good WiFi signal) or read a book. Theyve also got comfy summer deck for slow sipping of wine-coffee-beer and to have a healthy snack. Its like a trendy bar thats also a comfy coffee shop.
Coffee and pastry were good. The place is popular and it shows the place was crowded.
Really good! cool relaxed vibe and great place to study or meet with friends over breakfast. good coffee and super fast service. :)
Honestly I come here for the boba and it is the best I have ever had! The black sugar milk boba is to die for and their food in general! People are so nice and its so chill their it can feel really comfortable especially to just sit down relax and enjoy your drink!
I mean how much better than a coffee shop that has adult beverages to add!!
Beautiful hangout spot with very creative and drinks. The food was okay. Something to munch on while youre drinking, but not something I would come back just to eat. Ambience is chill with your friends, calm, and relaxing type vibes. Decor is gorgeous! The service was also amazing. Everyone is attentive and knowledgeable. Some of the drinks are better than others. The Vietnamese coffee martini was delish, but everything else was a little on th sweet spot. Pricing is a little high here, but we didnt have anywhere else to go hang out at such a late hour.
Great coffee and ambiance. Canβt believe this used to be in the dead center of the combat zone. It is literally an entirely new environment, loved it.
About 1/3 of their displayed menu, they do not even have it in their system. This is either a poorly ran location, or poorly ran company.
Wow what a disappointment! We were so excited about visiting Jaho! We were visiting from Denver and heard great things and follow them on Instagram. However, the barista was absolutely terrible. Asked me to hurry up and order (mind you we were the only ones there) then I ordered a sβmores coffee and was hold the sβmore on top is only for Instagram. Then walked away as i was talking and fell sleep. Good lord hire better people!!!
Super cool atmosphere, however, coffee is terrible. Very bitter and old tasting. I ordered an iced cold brew. Wouldnt order coffee again.
I was very excited to try Jaho after having passed it many times. I loved the idea of a wine bar mixed with a coffee shop and had high expectations. When I walked in on a Thursday morning, it was relatively quiet, understandably. There was no line so I had to generate my coffee order quickly, so I went with a flat white and a bagel with egg salad. The man behind the counter was very cold and not helpful when I asked what was in the egg salad. Rather than going to find out, he just stood there and waited for me to either order it or get something else. Eventually, I paid and sat down to wait. When my food and coffee was brought out, it looked good enough. The coffee and egg salad sandwich were good, but nothing special. Other coffee shops in Boston definitely beat it out. The thing that worried me the most was when I asked for water. When I got it, there was hair and other particles in it. Definitely didnt drink it!Id like to believe the water was a fluke, but it still weirded me out. Id be willing to try Jaho again but I was very disappointed with my experience there.
Great place for cold brew coffee and boba tea.
Has a nice atmosphere and wide variety of coffee-related alcoholic cocktails. With indoor seating, its a nice place to work/study during the day. But with strictly enforced COVID guidelines, its not a good place for 4+ people to hangout.
When I came here I didnβt know theyβd close in 10 min, Brigitte let me order without warning about closing and was rude. She came in 5 min to tell me I need to leave. Bad customer service
I was there Tuesday and the coffee was Awesome!
This is definitely my to go place in the Boston area, whether it is for me to work, meet up with friends or just grab a drink or something to eat. The staff is really quick and communicative, the quality or the products is great; but most importantly, the environment is very comfortable and welcoming.
We love Jaho... All three locations are fantastic and have outdoor seating. A great small business to support with fantastic owners and employees. And coffee is roasted locally in their Downtown Crossing store.
The employees were all super friendly and the drinks were delicious. It also had a nice vibe and was super clean!
This coffee shop also sells their special coffee for us to enjoy. I bought their best-selling Signature and it was the best! I always have their coffee before heading to work. It was very tasteful. Try their coffee now, and you wont be disappointed! Highly recommended!!
This place is really cool, and an unexpectingly good spot if you have a sober friend in your group for a hangout when everybody else wants to drink alcohol. But this place had a great atmosphere and great coffee, in house roaster it looked like too, ambiance is A++! I ended up with the Vietnamese coffee and highly suggest it, and if youre like me and too the NEAQ pledge to not use disposable plastic straws they can hook you up with a sippy lid to avoid excessive plastic waste.
Fantastic coffee. Best Mochas ive had in a long time. Chicken salad sandwich is outstanding as is the Margherita flatbread. I travel all over the world and i give kudos to Jaho for creating a coffee/wine/beer/food shop that caters so well to all customers. Great service at both locations i went to in Boston.
Great drink, however barista is a communist and treated me like a peasant.
Great selection. Fantastic coffee and the atmosphere is relaxing
Good boba tea and sandwiches. They have delicious food and good place to sit and study.
Jaho is clearly a really fun and entertaining spot when there isnt a pandemic. They had creative coffee-based cocktails that I would have loved to try if I didnt visit at 9am. The reason that I am giving them 3 stars is because I thought their iced coffee was a bit sour and the latte we ordered was not too hot. However, their honey cake was really good so the bakery gets a thumbs up.
Purchased a ice coffee and smoked salmon bagel. Will be the last time I order a sandwich here. I got the sandwich take out and was surprised to find smoked salmon only on one side of the bagel. The tomatoes fell out of the sandwich because they were cut very thick. This was probably one of the worst smoked salmon sandwiches Ive ever had. The lack of smoked salmon and oversized vegetables were a disappointinh. I will probably go back for a coffee to give it a second chance. I did enjoy the ambience of the restaurant and plentiful seating makes it an ideal study/ work location alongside a cup of coffee. But I wouldnt be staying for lunch.
I liked their soft serve, but I wish they had more interesting flavors. They only had vanilla and chocolate.
Great caprese & wide selection of awesome beverages.
As an entrepreneur this business model was very confusing. Coffee, booze, bubble tea, food, wine. One positive, the barista got us an extra chair so my wife and I could sit down.
No price on menu and prices change between online and what it actually cost. It feels like sketchy business practice to me.
Love the ambiance, lots of tables and seats to eat and work
Wed been in Boston for five days, and were despairing of finding a decent cup of coffee, until we stumbled on Jaho. Great brew, great service.
Really good service! And great selection of drinks
You deserve 0 start ππ»ππ»ππ»
Awesome! Much more classy than Nero cafe, and the customer service is awesome, thereβs no stress here! Much better than Dunkinβ Donuts in summer street where the employee already gave ame an attitude for no reason, just because l was charging my phone before ordering coffee. Jaho is a coffee place for young and cool people, just awesome!
Theyβve got good bubble tea here, you probably wouldnβt think to come here for that but itβs worth a try if you like it. The staff are also really nice and accommodating. Atmosphere during covid is still good because itβs spacious in there with high ceilings!
Great Coffee and a Plain Bagel with Strawberry Jam & Cream Cheese hit the spot on this Cold Winter Morning in Boston...5 Star Customer Service....Followed all Covid-19 Protocols.....
We came enjoyed our coffees and bagels alongside their good music. Very high quality coffee and food. In a good location in Boston. I enjoyed all the time I spent there and am look forward to coming to it again.
I came to the Jaho at Chinatown for a quick coffee and a sandwich. The cashier today was rude and rolled her eyes when I said I needed a minute to look at the menu. The available seating was way too close together and the strict rule of wearing a mask unless eating was clearly not enforced.
Jaho used to be my favorite place. But their Covid response has been sub-optimal. Tables too close together, too many people inside, masks were not enforced. I do not dare to go there again for a while.
Delicious coffee and atmosphere
Classy, modern, aroma, all of the equipment that youβd wish for to flatter your taste buds.Forget about your caffeine quota, even if you make it there on 9:30 PM Iβd still get a quad shot, you are not a big fan? No, get your self a latte, no ? Get your self a Spanish latte, or any other latte because they sure can make it for you.My to go to: Boston cream pie, and espresso
Great for remote work. Plenty of seating and table space.
The aestetics and the coffee is amazing. No cap
Love the atmosphere, staff friendly and sociable, can come for breakfast or later for drinks!
A little expencive but quick survice and a convinient place to sit.
When we walked in here, it was packed. People were doing work and sipping on tea every which way. We just went in for a quick dessert, but what we had was amazing!1) Chocolate chip cookie! I heard about this on Chocolate Chip Bostons Instagram and it was lovely! Huge chocolate chunks, warm dark chocolate. It was incredible. Its kind of on a secret menu behind the counter, so you have to ask for it.2) Sipping chocolate. This is like an 8 oz cup of thick dark chocolate (thats what she said). It was difficult to finish, but worth every sip.
Laid back atmosphere, nice staff, good coffee
Overpriced overhyped I spelled my name for them and they still got it wrong.
A hip spot for coffee and studying or catching up with friends. Got the red velvet hot chocolate, which was good but VERY sweet. Wouldnt order it again. The baklava was really tasty but also expensive. Lots of options at this place and the wifi is fast, so would come back!Edit: have also tried the iced coconut chai, which tasted more like sugary coconut milk than anything else. Still, I really like the setting and would keep coming to work/study.
Stop misleading people add prices in the menu
Very modern and sleek. Friendly service, and great coffee and tea. Good wifi.
This place has an absolutely chill vibe. The inside decor is modern yet cozy. The service is great and the options available are wonderful. Such a wide variety.
I had a pretty good Irish coffee, to go, and even complete with Soy milk; but, β¦ the distant staff demeanor β¦
