What a gem! This little store carries a wide range of Japanese beauty products, including lots of limited edition items. Theres even a snack and stationary section! The staff are very friendly and helpful and the store is clean, well stocked and organized.

Its been two years since I came to Boston, and can’t believe I just discovered this interesting place today!Their products are very innovative, interesting, practical, and at a very nice price！I tried their snacks today and I can only say that they are really good! I also bought some facial masks, skin care products and cosmetics, which only cost me $$! I feel so surprised!After using the mask today, I am writeing a feedback right now. A Japanese mask called “ Fancl moisturizing mask”, trust me, it is worth trying, the effect is amazing!

Ive been to the store in NYC and the one in Newbury holds up pretty well. Its nowhere near as big and the selection is limited to mostly skincare and makeup, but they sell some snacks and toys as well! Its great for all your Asian beauty needs, although naturally the prices have been shot up due to everything being imported.If you visit this shop, please be respectful :)

Cute shop with a good amount of Japanese snacks, skincare, drugstore goods and a limited selection of cosmetics. You can definitely find products here that are difficult to source in the US.

Love this store soooo much! The customer service is amazing! All the staffs are willing to help when I have questions on the products. I would definitely come back more often and recommend this store to all my friends since there are so many selections on J-beauty, makeup,and snacks.

This place has the best prices youll find for Japanese skincare. I used to spend 2-3x as much on Amazon or other online stores to get my favorite Hada Labo or Kikumasamune products but this place has a great selection for much lower prices than I was able to find online. So happy I found this place Im going to be doing all my skincare shopping here from now on!

Good selection, convenient that you can see the products on person and they have a good variety. The prices are higher than what you would pay in online shops for the same products so its a toss up of how bad you want/need something.

Small store, but had the authentic feel of my experience in Japan/Korea! Unfortunately that does include employees following you and watching you... I think its a cultural norm to be honest. The cosmetics are a bit higher price than what you could get online I think, but you dont have to worry about shipping! I will bring my sisters here one day.

This is the cutest shop. I bought some snacks for my kids and they loved them. The esthetic of the items in this shop are irresistible. The staff are so sweet and friendly.

The store is pretty good based on cleanliness and products. My only real complaint would be the price and testers for those...My friend and I were looking for lip tints and were trying to look at specific colors that were on the chart. There would often only be 1-3 testers out of the 8 colors offered on the chart, which was very inconvenient considering Covid-19 and that it would be rude to try and take one out of the package.The prices were also a bit iffy. I saw products I could buy on Yesstyle for cheaper (granted, with a 1-2 week shipping time compared to insta buy here).The lip tints too... the price tags were sometimes unclear. My friend thought they were purchasing a $16 lip tint... turns out it was actually almost $30. I guess the product shelving was messed up, but they were incredibly shocked when hearing the price and thought instead that my hair dye was a higher price.I am also not going to defend the employees hawking around all the customers– although cultural differences, it truly makes customers feel very uncomfortable... adding to that, the history of the US is too dirty for you to be doing things like these to make black people feel uncomfortable.

I was there and I didn’t notice being followed but then again I probably wasn’t paying attention but I love it there I had a good experience they have delicious treats can’t wait to go back for more and great customer service

Loved this place, reminded me of when I lived back in Japan because they have the widest selection of Japanese cosmetics and skincare Ive seen in the US. The store isnt that big, but they stock a wide range of products, and the staff are extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing Japanese cosmetics store at Newbury st! The atmosphere of the store is very relaxing and chilling with the music playing in the background. The staffs are also very welcoming! My favorite part of the store is they sell varieties of Japanese snacks and drinks! I would definitely go here more often!

Got some Japanese brand body wash and sone cleansers. This place is so clean, bright and the staff extremely nice. Would definitely come again for some makeup as their are so many choices. Can’t wait to go again!

Cute place, my daughters birthday is coming up and I wanted to get her something. She is a big fan of Japanese beauty products. Got turn down by one of the employees stalking my husband and I. I felt extremely uncomfortable. Decided to shop somewhere else.

Honestly one of the better Asian beauty stores that Boston has to offer. They change their inventory pretty frequently (like every 2 weeks or every paycheck) but if there is an item you miss, you can ask them to order it for you. They’re good like that. And as for prices 😍😍 super reasonable considering the location and the pricing at competitor stores. They carry a lot of the same stock as Taos and Shibuyala but Reiwatakiya wins on cleanliness, organizational layout, location (right across muji & Uniqlo) and um prices hello!!I almost forgot, their snack selection goes hard 😈💕

I went in to buy sunscreen but i wanted to look at other items but the store employee kept following me everywhere i went, which made my shopping experience really uncomfortable. I like to go into a store where i can look at items and shop comfortably without the store employee following you around. So I will not go back there again.
