WOW! Amazing store and staff. I went in looking for a my first everyday use chefs knife already knowing a little bit about the knife world. Everyone there, especially Tanisha did an amazing job of showing me different options in various styles, prices etc. She was just a huge wealth of information, I was expecting to just try a few knives but left with 10x the knowledge before and a much better idea of what I wanted. Tanishas love for knifes definitely shows. They also offer knife sharpening classes(ask via phone/in person) which I am definitely taking advantage of once I get my knife.Although I did not shop for other items, they had wide array of various other kitchen items plus an extensive online store.
I love this place. Like everyone said, they really know their knives and are happy to answer any questions you have about them. Used their knife sharpening service and the knives came out great. Cutting meat the next day with them was blissfully easy. The shop is small, but cute with many tools needed for the kitchen. Highly recommend checking it out if you like to cook.
I visited earlier this week because I wanted to buy my significant other a knife set but I have a severe lack of knowledge of what’s best. The staff was knowledgeable about durability, features, and Style. Tanisha gave me a wealth of information and I left feeling confident and informed that I had bought the best! My significant other has been absolutely blown away by the style and functionality of the knifes. If anyone is looking to bring a little bit of ease and comfort to the kitchen experience in your home I cannot recommend Kitchen Wares enough!
Knife Sharpening - Good, not great.I got my chefs knife sharpened here. Prior to getting it sharpened, it had 9 months of decent use and was pretty dull. After, it was fairly sharp, but not as sharp as it was brand new. Specifically, I found that slicing delicate fruits / veg still sometimes ended up with some squashing.I ended up sharpening my knife my self later. Learning how to sharpen it was exhausting, and not very fast, but it produced a significantly sharper knife. The people at the shop were friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. I would recommend their sharpening services for someone who wants a sharper knife, but not for someone who wants a razor sharp knife.
The owners of the store were very friendly and helpful! I brought in a knife that had a chip in the blade and they were able to sharpen and repair the blade within minutes. Great customer service!
Wow - I wish I could give KitchenWares 10 stars! My partner and I went in today expecting to just drop off a knife for sharpening and grab few odds and ends. Tanisha ended up teaching us everything we would ever need to know about knives! We ended up getting a new knife guided by her expertise. We will definitely be attending her sharpening class ASAP. She was the best!
Needed to get some new utensils (chopsticks and soup spoons).Found out on Google that they had them here for prices far below what you could find on Amazon.Staff were extremely helpful. Will be back
I had a great experience at Blackstones. The staff was incredibly helpful and showed me how sharpen my knives. I will be back!
Knife Sharpening Class: Tanisha was really helpful in stone sharpening techniques for both German and Japanese knives - the process once learned is actually pretty simple but good to have someone work through with you. Additionally Tanisha provided insights into different types of knives and best practices for use. I enjoyed the individual class a lot and as a bonus they sharpen your existing knives. Totally worth the time. Thx for positive experience Tanisha. I will be back!
I went in to have my kitchen knives sharpened and had a great experience. Awesome customer service and a nice shop.
They got all the essentials and more. Very helpful staff. Answered all my questions and directed me to everything I was looking for. Very fair prices too!
Fantastic, knowledgeable staff and a huge selection of everyday and specialty items. If by some chance they dont have it, theyll help you track it down. Knife sharpening service is particularly helpful, as they helped bring back to life and old, dull knife block set.
You can ALWAYS find useful and beautiful items at these shops!
Amazing service, got three knives sharpened in a few minutes while I browsed around the store! Will definitely be coming back here again.
Super friendly knowledgeable staff, fun classes and lots of cool kitchen supplies! You can get your knives sharpened here too. Jennifer and Tanisha, you two are my actual favorites! My go to kitchen store in Boston. Stop by if you get a chance! 😁
Great store for anything related to the kitchen world. The perfect place if you are looking for gifts ideas, from knives (huge selection there), to pans, cocktail kits, candles or recipe books. And it is open on Sundays! A gem in the middle of Boston.
Great store. Very helpful staff and quality products and recommendations.
I love this place. The only place I trust to sharpen my knives.
Very pleasant little shop. Ill definitely visit there again. And the prices for many items rival Amazon.
KitchenWares is a great resource. Its located in one of Bostons most expensive shopping streets, usually not a place to look for deals. But KitchenWares is perfectly stocked with items of all prices. I went in looking for a soup ladle, and the manager showed me a nice strong one for $20. Thats kind of expensive for a soup ladle (though Im sure it would last you forever)! He then showed me a great collection of sizes, all for around $5. Thats more of my price! I poked around the shop and was able to snag all sorts of things…a squirt bottle (for syrup or oils?) for $1.50, a set of beautiful measuring spoons (pricier at $15, but strong stainless steel with engraved numbers), and an offset spatula ($6, for all your frosting needs).I could have spent a million more dollars, but thought my fiancé might be mad. The store is beautiful, not too cramped, and stocked to the ceilings with all sorts of ktichenwares. Ill be back to look at their gorgeous collection of chefs knives!
Highly knowledgeable and offers the best selection of the best quality kitchen knives in Boston. Also great for kitchen tools.
Really neat store, all kinds of kitchen goods. Employee was also really kind and helpful.
Good assortment. But more expensive than other shops
Nice staff and quality products!
Unnecessarily expensive
