IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR VEHICLE LONG TERM DONT BRING IT HERE!! (Short Synopsis- Quality of work is not Thorough, staff is inconsistent)I Purchased a New Honda Civic 2016 from Rosenthal (Virginia) in 2016 but Im a Bowie Resident so its convenient having the Bowie Darcars Honda Location. Ive had it serviced here the past 5 years; service & associates professionalism & thoroughness with my vehicle has usually been just mediocre & sometimes youll come across a truly dedicated caring associate (Twice in 5 years). Today was the last day I will bring my vehicle to Darcars Bowie Honda Location!!About 3 months ago I brought my vehicle in to get an electrical & battery check because my front amber lights would flicker randomly while the vehicle was parked & off. I was told it was an electrical glitch/malfunction that would not affect performance. Knowing my warranty is near over I ask the young lady to make note of my issue for coming in. Just in case something would happen in the near future it was documented.3 Days ago my vehicles engine wouldnt turn on & the battery was dead. I use my warranty & Honda care to have my vehicle towed to this location. Upon inspection & before calling to get information on the issue, I am told about charges that my warranty would cover if the associate was thorough & looked my account information up prior to speaking.Upon speaking with the associate, & informing him that this issue is related to a past visit & an unsolved problem with the vehicle. I ask if notes were left by the last associate, to my disappointment no notes on my issues or concerns were left.Upon arrival this afternoon I never received an apology, accommodation for the lack of thorough job done for my last visit, or any real concrete information on why my vehicle had the lighting or electrical issue to begin with. Most Honda dealerships wash your car after service when youre a part of the Service Care. That didnt happen. The cashier was eating Chips a Hoy Cookies out the large container while taking credit card transactions duringa pandemic. Employees were bickering with each other. Not a professional environment or thorough service center. Save yourself & your vehicle the stress. Employees and associates should do better, but sadly this falls on the head of Management. As a Senior Manager for over 6 years, I will warn my family & friends. & will never use this service again.

This place has horrible customer service. Back in July I had an appointment to get some work done on my car. I arrived around 12pm and was told that they could no longer take anymore appointments for the day because of heavy volume. My appointment was scheduled for weeks and I received a text confirming my appointment the day prior. I guess a call letting me know I would need to reschedule my appointment is just too much to ask for ….Fast forward a few months later I come back for an oil change at 12:30pm on a Monday. Nobody greets me or even looks in my direction. I walked up to a representative and he advises me to wait in my vehicle until someone comes to me. About 15 min later I am finally told to go inside and the wait will be around 2.5 hrs for the oil change . 4 hours pass by and when I ask a rep for an update on my car I am told they “might” be almost done. I have been coming to this location for over 7 years and the customer service has declined so much ! I don’t know who is in charge but this place is horrible and I would never recommend you to anyone.

I bought my Accord from Honda of Bowie in 2013, I been going to them ever since. Lately the service has declined to the point where Im no longer going to try to do business with them any more, after almost 8 years.Brought my car in for a recall, I was told they were busy at the moment and I needed to scheduled an appointment (Fair enough) so we scheduled a day right then and there. The day of when I arrive they tell me the same thing and that they had nobody available to do the maintenance (But what was the purpose of scheduling the appointment?). Im a really nice guy so I agree to reschedule, it seems like Saturday is the most busiest day but when I bring my car in on a Wednesday they tell me to come back on Saturday, so which is it? They literally told me to go to another dealer... (Exact words) Not to mention the girl handling my ticket tried charging me for a basic oil change, didnt even look to see if I had Carcare coverage. Why would I pay $65 for an oil change?Im sad to see this place get like this. They were never perfect but Ive always had great service from them (Which is why I went to them for 8 years) until recently. Maybe theyre under new ownership? Whatever the problem is, they need to get it together.

Hours behind for service. Had an 815 service appointment this morning and showed up at 8am to find at least 11 cars waiting to check-in. Took my car in for a recall fix last month and the service people messed up my windshield wipers. Tried to get that fixed the next day and finally left because I was tired of waiting. Found out about DARCARS family pushing out the daughter who maintained quality services and now its terrible. Will purchase my next honda from another dealership. DARCARS Bowie is the worst!

Weve taken our Honda Fit here a handful of times for a variety of regular maintenance. Overall the staff seems competent and weve been happy with the service.

Don’t bring your car here unless you have plenty of time to wait. Had an appointment and the car hadn’t even been looked at 1 hour after the time of the appointment. Terrible customer service.
